FLOTUS Waves from Spain as Obama Gets Cupcakes from Staff
WH to Deploy Marie Antoinette… ah FLOTUS for midterms? Really?? Talk About Out of Touch!
Left leaning Politco wrote: Michelle Obama endured a spate of bad press when commentators, incensed by her lavish Spanish vacation, compared her to a modern-day Marie Antoinette. But the first lady (last week she was just a private citizen… costing taxpayers a bundle) isn’t about to hide from the spotlight.
In fact, her plans to campaign for Democrats in the upcoming mid-term elections are still on schedule, White House aides say.
Obama would be making appearances on the campaign trail for Democratic candidates, they acknowledge, stopping shy of announcing exactly where and when the first lady would hit the trail. (Probably because the WH expects some cancellations).
The Obama’s really are elitists, as are most Progressives. They think they are better and smarter than the average person and they they deserve to both have more than you and must tell you what to do (while you are paying for their follies).
Hillary Clinton was accurately dubbed America’s Evita and the Modern Day Marie Antoinette seems an appropriate moniker for Michelle Obama.
Spain Trip: Todd Senses 'Something More' Happening Behind Scenes With Michelle O
"Uncomfortable" was the word of the day at Morning Joe when it came to discussing Michelle Obama's decision to go on a luxurious Spanish vacation in the midst of a recession — and to miss celebrating her husband's birthday with him to boot.
Chuck Todd didn't go into details, but NBC's clearly ill-at-ease political director suggested: that this was a "private decision" by the First Lady; that it wouldn't have made any difference what Pres. Obama's political advisors would have said; and that "you get the sense here that there was something more to this" than pure politics.
Joe Scarborough reinforced Todd's message: "this is part of a bigger narrative, isn't it, about Michelle Obama?"
In contrast, Mark Halperin seemed eager to get off the touchy topic. When Scarborough asked him about it, Halperin parried with a question to Todd about the positive cards the White House has to play.
This NewsBuster is in no position to speculate as to what that "bigger narrative" might be, or what that "something more" is. But surely a story worth following . . .
Note: Joe cited yesterday's column by Maureen Dowd, which in the course of criticizing Mrs. Obama pointed out that the president's birthday wasn't the first important occasion the First Lady missed:

Note Dos: Morning Joe introduced the segment with a Late Night clip of Jimmy Fallon quipping that in light of Michelle's Spanish extravagance, her new Secret Service code name is "Kanye." Ouch.
Note Tres: In my item about Pres. Obama's appearance on The View, I noted that the prez had taken a gratuitous swipe at the First Lady, claiming she wasn't interested in news shows.
Note Quatro: I understand that the First Couple has to deal with scheduling pressures far outside the normal realm. Even so, as I observed to a friend yesterday: odds my mother would have gone on a vacation without my late father and missed his birthday = precisely 0 in 1,000 trillion.

--> (Very Interesting) A wise, 65 yr old African-American female friend of mine explained Michelle Obama to me. She said that MO acts the way she does (e.g.,exposing a lot of skin; dressing to draw attention; being common; etc) because when she was growing up she was the big, unattractive girl (on a 60 Minutes segment sometime ago, a woman in Florida called MO a "horse" of a woman) who was outside of the circle of the pretty girls who got all of the attention, so, now this is MO's chance to "get even." To say, "Look at me now. Look where I am now."
I think the waynemadsenreport.com 5 page expose on Pres. Barack Obama's secret (and maybe not so secret in Chicago and the DC beltway and on his recent Vegas trip) sex life, with primarily white women and gay men… (the info is out there, but must constantly be reposted because the WH consistently scrubs the Internet), might also explain MO's trip to Spain in which she missed BO's birthday celebration and embarrassed his administration by the lavishness of her Spain vacation. I noticed that in the return picture from Spain, it is Sasha that hugs the President and MO does not hug him. (If you are aware… the people the POTUS spent his birthday with and who surround him in the WH is pretty telling!) There are definitely some negative vibes going on between POTUS and FLOTUS.
Maureen Dowd in her latest NY Times essay also points out the 3 or 4 other times when MO has absented herself on BO's big moments. MO is jealous of BO. And, she is going long with; but, obviously disliking BO using her as a "beard." I am not the only one who has come to these conclusions. I have read posters on other web sites who see what I see. By the way, I am an A-A female who not only voted for BO and contributed to his campaign; but, I went to Mississippi and campaigned door-to-door for him (in white neighborhoods, no less). However, I have to admit that BO and MO are not what they appeared to be. And, MO frequently proves to be hypocritical. E.g., all of the J-Crew clothing items don't square with $540.00 sneakers and $6,000 purses. Just like telling Americans to visit the Gulf Coast and then taking off to Maine for a vacation. Any who . . . this time cycle is about to end and a new, greater one awaits us sans BO and MO and all of those like them--if they don't get their acts together..
*** There are and have been rumors, under-currents, speculations and buried stories for years about the Obama’s relationship and related matters… and a lot of it isn’t pretty! (Many speculate that their true relationship is much like the arranged situation between Bill and Hillary… only orchestrated and controlled by puppet-masters from above, not by a well planned promise and contract of their own. ***
