This is unprecedented in recent history of rallies on the Mall in D.C. to have thousands of people camping out at the rally site the night before. Many more will be arriving throughout the night because Beck is starting the rally at 10 a.m. EDT. (The numbers gathering at the mall tonight looked more like about 8,000 to 10,000 people already, while another 28,000 attended the pre-event, Divine Destiny, at the Kennedy Center.)
These people were the first to camp out at this area in front of the Lincoln Memorial earlier today:

The rally, organized by right-wing talk show host Glenn Beck, is expected to attract 100,000 people according to organizers. The Black Robe Regiment - http://www.blackrobereg.org/
It says, "We are devoutly Christian and concerned folks who only desire a forum for Church leaders and pastors to discuss the issues of the day in safety and in peace." They're concerned about our country.
---------
"The several of us who have felt called and led to create this site and endeavor have found ourselves over the past year or two to be heavily involved in the social sphere of government and politics....this by way of the tea party movement. We are also devoutly Christian and heavily involved in our churches. Due to this involvement in both of these spheres, we have observed a great need and desire among many in this country to return to a Fundamental Truth that seems to have been misplaced or lost.....that of a Biblical World View that was the dream of the first Europeans who first settled this beautiful continent, later called America. This Biblical World View was sacrificed for by many who have come before us....they dreamed it and created it in reality by their devotion to an Almighty who would have them be truly free and prosperous. We now find ourselves in a tremendous struggle between clashing worlds.....that of the Biblical World View that this country was founded upon and is the hope of all peoples who truly desire to be free, and that of the World View, that has been the curse of God's creation since the Fall. The line in the sand has been blurred between these two spheres, these two world views. God's people find themselves mired in varying ways in this confusion. And there are still many lost in the World who have not found salvation and peace that only God and Christ Jesus can bring.
It is our hope, our prayer that this site can be a safe haven in this horrible conflict whereby the Children of God and the Leaders of the Church can freely dwell, meditate, study, network, and create. It will be safe as it will be continually bathed in prayer for you. It will remain a haven as only those who are carefully vetted and invited will be able to participate on this site. Here, you can freely participate....by reading others' articles, contributing your own articles, networking with other like-minded pastors and church leaders, and know that what occurs here remains here. Confidence shall not be breached without first having received permission. We will beg each of you to respect the others' privacy and disclosures. Here we ask you to bring your concerns and fears for your world and your church flock that we might locate aid for you, your people, and this ailing world.
The name for this site, The Black Robe Regiment, has been chosen for it's historical context (which will be more clearly defined on another page). It represents a group of pulpit ministers who were extremely active during the American Revolution. It was in the pulpits and the churches of that period where people obtained much of the news of the day. It was this group of individuals from the pulpit who assisted in igniting the souls and hearts of the men and women during that time to rally in defense of a society who was being tyrannized by a despotic government, that was creating an environment where freedom and liberty would no longer exist."

Evangelical Megachurch Pastor Defends Support for Glenn Beck (2,000 ministers attend rally)
Around 2,000 ministers and religious leaders are expected to attend Glenn Beck’s “Divine Destiny” event Friday night ahead of the television and radio personality's more publicized “Restoring Honor” rally on Saturday.
Beck will hold Friday’s faith-based event at the John F. Kennedy Center in Washington to rally conservatives of different faiths around their shared values, principles and strong belief that faith can play an essential role in reuniting the country.
“Whether we care to believe it or not, our country is in our danger’s hour,” says Beck. ”And there’s only one answer.”
For the event, Beck spent the past year trying to reach out to some of the biggest names in faith – an effort he says “has been extraordinarily difficult because of my faith and because of who I am.”
Beck, a Mormon who had been raised in a Catholic home, has become increasingly popular among social conservatives for his political commentaries but has not been so easily embraced by Christian theological conservatives who regard Mormonism as heresy or, at best, non-Christian.
Before deciding to stand by Beck, evangelical megachurch pastor Jim Garlow said he had to do a lot sorting and watched Beck as closely as he could.
“I have listened and watched very carefully regarding clues to Glenn’s spiritual condition,” said the lead pastor of Skyline Wesleyan Church in La Mesa, Calif.
“I have interviewed several people who have been with him and have talked very specifically with him regarding his own personal salvation,” he added.
And according to Garlow, Beck has said “unequivocally” that that he relies on the atonement of Jesus on the cross for forgiveness for his sins.
“[A]nd those are almost the exact words,” Garlow recalled in a five-page memo released this past Tuesday. “Few people use the term atonement. Glenn did. “
Garlow also credited Beck for laying out “the clearest explanation of the crucifixion and the resurrection that I have ever heard on national TV” about a month ago.
Even prominent Southern Baptist leader Richard Land was reportedly surprised to hear the Gospel so clearly on secular television.
“I have interviewed persons who have talked specifically with Glenn about his personal salvation – persons extremely well known in Christianity – and they have affirmed (using language evangelicals understand), ‘Glenn is saved,’” Garlow reported. “He understands receiving Christ as savior.”
Still, Garlow made it clear that he doesn’t see eye-to-eye with Beck on a number of things, including theology. But the megachurch pastor noted that everyone’s theological understanding is off and that only the most arrogant would say that its 100 percent perfect.
“Here is my question: if your theology is off slightly, but you still trust exclusively in Jesus Christ’s death on the cross for your salvation, and in his resurrection, are you still saved? Going to heaven? Yes,” Garlow argued.
“How far off might your theology be – and yet still trust exclusively in Jesus Christ’s death on the cross for your salvation, and believe in his resurrection – and still be saved? Is it 10% or 15% or 20%? Or what?”
That said, Garlow expressed his belief that Beck “is being used by God – mightily.”
“Glenn is not perfect. (For the record, neither are you or I.),” he wrote. “But his expose on America’s sins is stellar. I am convinced his motives are pure. His research department is profoundly skilled, checking footnotes down to the last detail.”
So, based on all he knows about Beck, Garlow said he is “proud” to stand with Beck at the “Restoring Honor” rally this weekend.
“It (the rally) is about Restoring Honor. That is the issue,” concluded Garlow, who will also attend Friday's event. “It is much bigger than Glenn Beck and he knows it. And God knows, we need it.”
According to organizers of the “Divine Destiny” event, Friday’s gathering will feature uplifting music and messages from nationally-known religious figures “from all faiths” that will be reminiscent to those given during the struggles of America’s earliest days.
The event will kick off at 8p.m. and be broadcast live on Beck’s Insider Extreme website, www.glennbeck.com/extreme/.
The next day, the "Restoring Honor" event will be held on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial in Washington. The three-hour event is intended to celebrate America by honoring its heroes, its heritage and its future.
