Sarah Palin Responds to Roger Ailes Quote Explaining Why Fox News Hired Her AND Why She Accepted

Steve Doocy Sarah Palin Elizabeth Hasselback

FOX News’ Roger Ailes Talks Back – Great Interview!

By Gary P Jackson – A Time For Choosing – Cross-Posted at Ask Marion

The left is all excited about the prospect of juicy bits coming from the new book, Roger Ailes: Off Camera (Kindle), about Fox News’ chief Roger Ailes, including one about why he hired Sarah Palin:

Governor Palin posted this to Facebook:

Fox’s Roger Ailes says he hired me “to piss off the people that wanted her dead.” Hmmm. Funny. I accepted for the same reason!
http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/roger-ailes-fights-back-cnn-668765?page=2

She added this just to rub liberals’ noses in it:

With another book coming out about Roger Ailes and Fox News, stay tuned to find out what I really think about all this. In the meantime…
http://www.breitbart.com/Big-Journalism/2014/01/08/roger-ailes-fox-has-won-the-cable-news-wars

That link takes us to John Nolte’s article on Fox News’ total dominance of cable news:

Roger Ailes, the CEO and Chairman of Fox News, has declared victory over his left-wing competitors, CNN and MSNBC. In a lengthy interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Ailes points out correctly that MSNBC and CNN have given up on and are moving away from the news business: “That means Fox has won the cable news wars.

Indeed it does.

MSNBC has [already] announced they’re out of the news business,” Ailes added. “They have several different hosts, but it’s always the same show: Republicans are no good.” Ailes pointed out that CNN is moving out of the news business and mocked CNN chief Jeff Zucker over the network’s bizarre obsession with the documentary Blackfish: “[Zucker] had a big hit with a whale one night [the documentary Blackfish]. I guess he’s going to do whales a lot.

Just this morning, CNN aired a full package on a few protesters motivated by Blackfish to give Southwest Airlines a hard time. You could compare CNN to a train wreck, but people actually watch those.

Fox News not only dominates in the ratings (frequently beating CNN and MSNBC combined in total viewers), but both CNN and MSNBC suffered horrible years in the department of credibility. Among other things, CNN was caught red-handed flaking for gun control and fabricating evidence to frame George Zimmerman as racist. Due to its own embarrassing scandals, MSNBC lost two of its anchors, Martin Bashir and Alec Baldwin; and to close out an already awful year, anchor Melissa Harris-Perry led an on-air segment ridiculing Mitt Romney’s infant grandson.

The biggest news Fox News made about itself, though, was juggling an already successful primetime line-up into something even more successful. Moving rising cable superstar Megyn Kelly to 9pm has not only boosted the network’s ratings by 20% in the coveted 25-54 demo but this happened without bumping a single anchor or host.

Fox News has not only won the cable news wars but scared its competitors into becoming something else entirely. MSNBC is now National Public Radio with pictures and a mean streak while CNN is, well, a slow-motion disaster.

Another loser in this cable news war is the Soros-backed, tax-exempt, left-wing Media Matters, who surrendered in their own Ahab-esque battle against Fox News by declaring victory.

Big Moves Coming for Fox News… Including for Shep Smith - Updated

TheBlaze/AP – (The Associated Press was the first to report this news):  Fox News anchor Shepard Smith is leaving his 7 p.m. ET timeslot to take on a larger role heading up the network’s new breaking news division.Big Move Coming for Shep Smith at Fox News

Starting this fall, the new division, with Smith as the main anchor and managing editor, will have the capability to break into any Fox News programming anytime throughout the day, a network statement said.

“Shep is a premier journalist and one of the finest newsmen of the modern era. He will exemplify the ethos that Fox News is when and where the news is, as it happens, no longer bound by a traditional evening format conceived in the 1960s,” Fox News chairman Roger Ailes said in the statement.

A new studio, known as the “Fox News Deck,” will incorporate “real-time news feeds, digital media newsgathering and social media utilizing advanced, state-of-the-art technology.”

“Learning and reporting the news has been my passion for 25 years. I’m thrilled that Roger is trusting and empowering my team and me to bring the news to our viewers as it happens throughout the day and night. Roger’s forward-looking approach to anchoring and reporting will continue to solidify FNC’s position as the number one cable news network in the country,” Smith said.

Smith will remain in the 3 p.m. ET hour under the renamed and revamped “Shepard Smith Reporting”.

It’s the first announced primetime programming shuffle since the network said in July that daytime anchor Megyn Kelly would be moving to evenings. Kelly has been rumored to be taking Sean Hannity’s 9 p.m. slot.

There was no announcement about who would replace Smith in his 7 p.m. timeslot, or about the rest of the Fox News primetime lineup, but if you do the math, it appears that there is a good chance that Sean Hannity will drop into Shep’s old 7p.m. spot, right before O’Reilly and The Factor?!?

This change is just one more in what appears to be a Fox Cable News re-vamp thus far including Shep Smith, Megyn Kelly, Sean Hannity, Gretchen Carlson and Elisabeth Hasselbeck. There have already been quite a few changes over the past few months in the line-up of Fox News contributors, including the addition of Massachusetts Senator Scott Brown and the re-signing of Former Alaska Governor and GOP Vice Presidential Candidate, Sarah Palin.

Classicalite recently reported:

Fox News has some major shake ups going down. In two weeks, Elisabeth Hasselbeck will be joining the cast of Fox and Friends and Gretchen Carlson will be moving to afternoons. Also, Megyn Kelly is prepping for her new primetime show. She will be replacing longtime anchor Sean Hannity, who has remained quiet on the matter in recent weeks.

No one is perhaps more shocked about the Fox News lineup changes than Sean Hannity. After signing a long-term contract with the conservative news network, it was revealed that he will be losing his primetime gig.

Fox has not yet revealed their plans for the seasoned anchor, saying only that Sean Hannity has not been fired. Fox didn’t comment further on the situation… so speculation has been running wild.

This is the second time Hannity has received some bad news in the past few months. The first instance came when the radio network that carries his afternoon talk show announced that it would likely not renew the contracts of both Sean Hannity and Rush Limbaugh.

Don’t worry, Hannity fans. Another major radio network has already hinted that they would distribute his afternoon programs.

Things seem to be going much better for Megyn Kelly. Kelly, who just gave birth to her third child, will be getting a new primetime show.

Kelly will man the 9:00 p.m. time slot as soon as she returns from maternity leave. She technically has until November before she has to return to work, but many analysts believe that she will return much sooner.

The only start date that has been announced is that of Elisabeth Hasselbeck. She will start her career with the conservative news network on September 16. Presumably, Carlson will begin her new show on the same day or close to it.

Obama/Biden Montage: "We Decimated Al Qaeda"

Video: Obama/Biden Montage: "We Decimated Al Qaeda" - h/t to The Five for putting this together!!

Really??? So what happened?  If Al Qaeda was decimated, why are we now under alert with American Embassies closed (primarily) in Africa and in the Middle East due to threats by Al Qaeda?  Seems a little too convenient as Washington tries to sell us on the need for the NSA monitoring all our communications and building new mega data centers to store it.  And with all that spying going on, how come we keep missing all the important data?

Fox News Hires Soros Subversive

Unbelievable. Rational voices are continually given the shaft, prohibited from the airwaves, and these agitators and subversives are given respect, salaries and the imprimatur of legitimacy.

The right does not have ONE network. Not one.

Fox News Hires Soros-funded Activist Cliff Kincaid, AIM (hat tip Trevor Loudon, author of Barack Obama and the Enemies Within)

Sally Kohn, a former senior strategist at the Soros-funded Center for Community Change, has been hired as a Fox News Contributor. Soros is the controversial hedge fund billionaire, convicted of insider trading in France, who finances the “progressive” movement in the U.S.

It is significant that Kohn is now a regular paid commentator on Fox News, while Glenn Beck, the one-time archenemy of George Soros, was ousted from the channel last year and now hosts an Internet TV show.

An open lesbian who shuns feminine attire and frequently wears a suit jacket, Kohn is joining Fox News after being a regular on such programs as “The Ed Show” on liberal rival MSNBC. She is now officially part of the “Fox News Family,” as she puts it, and has been making appearances on the channel for several days.

The selection of Kohn raises disturbing questions about the direction of Fox News in a critical election year. Kohn worked at the Center for Community Change, one of the leading Soros-funded groups, for six years, from 2004—2010. During this period, the group received $5.8 million from Soros’s main vehicle, the Open Society Institute (OSI).

The former chair of the board of the Center for Community Change, Cecilia Munoz, was recently named the Director of the Domestic Policy Council in the White House, a position that makes her one of Obama’s top aides. She had been serving as Director of Intergovernmental Affairs. A White House press release about her appointment notes that she previously served on the U.S. Programs Board of the OSI and was Senior Vice President for the Office of Research, Advocacy, and Legislation at the National Council of La Raza.

[...]

..... Fox News fired Beck, even while calling it a mutual decision and promising collaboration on “a slate of projects for Fox News Channel and Fox News’ digital properties” that have yet to materialize.

Kohn herself narrated a video making fun of Beck, insisting that he was spouting misinformation about fascism and communism being extreme left-wing ideas and implying that he was the real fascist. She said that liberals like President Obama and herself favor “democratic capitalism,” not any kind of state control of the economy.

The reality, however, is quite different.

“Sally Kohn makes the world safe for radical ideas,” her website says. In fact, Kohn is a far-left radical who attended the 2003 World Social Forum in Brazil, a meeting place for groups which say they are opposed to capitalism and U.S. imperialism. The 2011-2012 “Calendar of Struggles” for the World Social Forum includes:

  • Global week of actions in support to the freedom of the Gaza Flotilla II.
  • International Conference on the impact of the North American invasion in Iraq.
  • International Solidarity Day for the Palestinian and African peoples.

Not only is Kohn now on Fox News, where she can demonstrate the channel’s “fair and balanced” commitment by championing radical Arab and pro-Marxist causes, she is being given open access to the influential FoxNews.com website, where she writes articles praising the Occupy Wall Street movement.

The Kohn bio at the end of her Fox News columns says she is the founder and Chief Education Officer of the Movement Vision Lab, “a grassroots think tank,” but clicking on the organization’s website takes you to Kohn’s personal page. It appears that the Movement Vision Lab was a project of the Center for Community Change that has since been discontinued.

[...]

Both Kohn and Rashad Robinson, executive director of a group called Color of Change, have attended the Soros-funded event known as the “Creative Change Retreat,” described as a place where “arts and social justice” come together.

Color of Change was co-founded by Van Jones, the former Obama official who lost his job after Beck, then on Fox News, highlighted his radical communist connections by drawing on material from anti-communist blogger Trevor Loudon and others.

Jones had the last laugh, noting during an appearance at the Campaign for America’s Future conference that Beck had lost his job at Fox.

Soros’s Open Society Institute had provided $300,000 to Color of Change and its parent entity called the Citizen Engagement Laboratory. Executive director Robinson had previously worked as Senior Director of Media Programs for GLAAD, where he apparently learned the techniques of protesting the presence of conservative voices in the media.

Sean Hannity completely pwned Juan Williams last night on Hannity. Sean asked Williams to respond to Eric Cantor's comments on raising the debt ceiling. When Juan got through trashing Cantor, Hannity told him that actually those were Obama's comments from 2006. Watch Juan Williams' expression when he finds out he got totally pwned.

One Last Time: Goodnight, America…

fox1

Yesterday Glenn Beck and his audience began a new chapter.  His life at Fox and on mainstream TV ended as he exited the stage of his Fox News set for the last time with one last “From New York, Goodnight, America”.

TV Newser:

The final broadcast of “The Glenn Beck Show” was a little bit of everything: a look back, a glimpse into the future and a frank assessment of the reasons behind Beck’s Fox News Channel departure.

Beck, who ad-libbed much of his last hour as an FNC host, spoke candidly about the decision to launch a web-based TV channel, saying he hoped he had earned viewers’ trust on “The Glenn Beck Show.” “Anyone watching this show knows that I have bent this format so far out of its structure, out of its parameters,” Beck said. “This is a news channel. I do commentary.”

“This show has become a movement,” he said. “It’s not a TV show. And that’s why it doesn’t belong on television. It belongs in your homes, it belongs in your neighborhoods.” Read full story at the Blaze

Saudi controlled FOX moves against Gubernatorial candidates who question Obama’s Eligibility

POLITICAL MANEUVER TO INSURE CONTINUANCE OF REGIME CONTROLLED BY MUSLIM INTERESTS

(This is some disconcerting info, if true)

by John Charlton

clip_image001

It is naive to presume that an ardent Saudi nationalist like Prince Alwaleed bin Talal would not use his fortune to promote the interests of Saudi Arabia and Islam throughout the world.

(Feb. 15, 2010) — In a move which openly and shamelessly manifests FOX’s anti-American agenda, the former conservative news agency has launched a propaganda campaign against U.S. Citizens who, having announced their candidacy for State Governor in their home states, also question the eligibility of Barack Hussein Obama to hold the office of U.S. President.

In an unsigned report published at their website, on Friday, Feb. 12, 2010, Fox News takes aim at Georgia Gubernatorial Candidate Nathan Deal and Texas Gubernatorial Candidate Debra Medina.

In its title, “Gubernatorial Candidates Echo Theories of Birthers, 9/11 Truthers” the report echoes the terminology and strategy adopted by Eric Erickson of Redstate.com; lump a legitimate constitutional, pro-American issue with an illegitimate anti-American issue so as to confuse viewers and suborn their loyalty to the nation.

Medina does not support the notion that the U.S. Government plotted 9-11, but she is open to consideration of the possibility. Nathan Deal simply wrote a letter to Obama asking for reliable information about his birth story.

In that report, FOX openly lied about an important fact in the history of the eligibility question:

In Georgia, Deal, who sent his letter in December, says he is not questioning Obama’s legitimacy, but he believes the president would like a chance to put the issue to rest — even though the Hawaiian government confirmed during the 2008 campaign that a copy of Obama’s birth certificate, which his campaign posted on his Web site, was authentic.

No such claim was ever made. In fact, Janice S. Okubo was merely quoted by the St. Petersburg Times as saying that the electronic image appeared to be like of an actual Hawaiian Certification. She later made it quite clear that she never saw Obama’s original form, and that electronic images are not issued by her department. It is obvious that as Communication Director, that she is also not qualified to authenticate electronic images.

But FOX showed its true colors when in the same report, it immediately gave credence to the Democratic agenda by citing an opponent of Nathan Deal:

In a gubernatorial debate this month, Deal was criticized by one of his GOP opponents for pressing the president to release his birth certificate

“The ability to work with the president … is hindered when you have people who are running for governor that are calling for childish things like the president to show his birth certificate,” said Georgia state lawmaker Austin Scott. “I promise you I’ll always be a gentleman when working with the federal government.”

By this statement, FOX has made it absolutely clear to America that they will not tolerate anyone who will not work with Obama and be respectful to him.

This move by FOX comes less than a month after a member of the Saudi Royalty, Prince Alwaleed bin Talal, a nephew of the King of Saudi Arabia, announced his desire to forge closer ties with Rupert Murdoch’s News Corporation, the parent of FOX.

Tarek El-tablawy, AP Business Writer, in a report published by Yahoo News, on Sunday, Jan 17, 2010, wrote:

Prince Alwaleed bin Talal, a nephew of the Saudi king and who was listed last year by Forbes as the world’s 22nd richest person, met with News Corp.’s chief executive Rupert Murdoch on Jan. 14 in a meeting that “touched upon future potential alliances with News Corp.,” according to a statement released by his Kingdom Holding Co. late Saturday.

Media reports have indicated that News Corp, parent to Fox News and Dow Jones & Co., among others, may be thinking of buying a stake in Alwaleed’s Rotana Media Group, which includes a number of satellite channels that air in the Middle East.

Neither company has commented publicly on the possible deal, but the talks offer an indication yet that such an agreement may yet be in the offing.

Kingdom Holding’s statement said Alwaleed is already the second largest stakeholder in News Corp., with 5.7 percent of the shares of the media company. The stake is held through Kingdom Holding, in which Alwaleed holds a 95 percent stake. 5.7 percent really wouldn’t be enough to give him control or even input on programming if Murdoch did not allow it… but making a deal with the devil is always a person or companies undoing.

The investment company has a diverse portfolio, ranging from hotels to shares in Apple, eBay and Citigroup.

According to Discover The Networks, Khalid Al-Mansour, a wealthy Muslim businessman, is the one who reportedly helped Barack Hussein Obama II transfer from Columbia University to Harvard in the 80’s, remaining an important supporter of the mulatto candidate who openly claims as his own Arab/Muslim roots in Kenya.

Perhaps it is time for a Tea Party Network?? Supported by donations, like public television (PBS) and sponsors who support the movement??

CNN – Complete Sellout For Obama?!?

'Factor' Exclusive: Dobbs Says CNN Aims to Please Obama

'Factor' Exclusive: Dobbs Says CNN Aims to Please Obama

Lou says network didn't want to offend president

Lou Dobbs said yesterday CNN was eager to show him the door because its top execs didn't want to offend President Obama.

Dobbs made the claim last night on Fox News Channel's "The O'Reilly Factor," saying he took on President George W. Bush's immigration policy with equal force but didn't draw any CNN flak then.

"I discern more of a difference between then, which was under the Bush administration when I was criticizing, and now, when it is the Obama administration -- and an entirely different tone was taken," said Dobbs.

He claims both Bush and Obama are soft on illegal immigration.

CNN bosses told Dobbs -- a strong opponent of illegal immigration -- that the network wants to aggressively market itself as the neutral alternative to left-leaning MSNBC and conservative Fox, he said.

The Post reported that CNN paid Dobbs an $8 million severance to leave 1½ years before his contract expires.

Dobbs said he found CNN's drive to the middle oddly timed to the beginning of Obama's term.

"I don't know whether that was the distinction that triggered any sort of response or a difference in perspective on the part of CNN's management, but it is the only difference between the way I was conducting myself under this administration and the previous administration," said Dobbs, who did his last show for CNN on Wednesday.

Host Bill O'Reilly bluntly asked Dobbs if he'd consider a run for a New Jersey US Senate seat, and the former CNN anchor didn't dismiss it.

"A lot of things are on my mind, I'm not going to be coy about that," Dobbs said.

"My wife and I are thinking about a lot of opportunities. I'm very blessed that I have a lot of opportunities. I guarantee you 100 percent I'm going to remain in the public arena."

And Dobbs showed some political moxie when O'Reilly fired an odd query at him: "Final question, Barack Obama, is he the devil?"

Dobbs didn't take the bait, but offered a well-measured answer to satisfy O'Reilly's decidedly conservative viewers.

"He's not the devil, but he is certainly a man who is right now not making it easy to understand why he's making the public-policy choices that he is," Dobbs said.

CNN Hosts Palin Forum with No Palin Supporters

Posted by: Greg Hengler at 4:42 PM

I guess you could call CNN's idea of "fair and balanced." Sanchez appears to be using a Luntz-style forum to test the Palin-approval waters.

I put this up there with CNN's fact-checking the Obama SNL skit
.

Reminder: This is an Obama-approved "news" network. Big H/T to Lee Habeeb for spotting this.

It appears that CNN has sold out to be part of the lame stream media, joining NBC, CBS and ABC… leaving us one US network FOX, and Obama is obsessed with controlling them.

Fox Fox, Beck, Limbaugh, Palin, Hannity, Bachmann, Buchanan… and the list goes on. If you stand up against them or just report or tell the truth you are on the enemies list and on their radar to be Quaylenized… (George H.W. Bush’s V.P.), now Palinized.
