Washington Monument Leaning due to Quake
A 5.9 magnitude earthquake that was centered in Richmond, Virginia and felt as far as New York City and New England.
Fox News anchor Megyn Kelly reported at 2:30 pm that their bureau received information from a producer saying that a Capitol Hill Police officer says that the Washington Monument may actually be tilting as a result of the earthquake.
Seismologist John Rundle joined Kelly on her show and confirmed that the Washington Monument could very well be tilting as a result of the earthquake and the structure should be checked out.
Two nuclear reactors have reportedly been taken off line near the epicenter of the earthquake.
According to the AP:
WASHINGTON (AP) — A 5.9 magnitude earthquake centered northwest of Richmond, Va., shook much of Washington, D.C., and was felt as far north as Rhode Island, New York City and Martha's Vineyard, Mass., where President Barack Obama is vacationing.The U.S. Geological Survey said the earthquake was half a mile deep.
Shaking was felt at the White House and all over the East Coast, as far south as Chapel Hill, N.C. Parts of the Pentagon, White House and Capitol were evacuated. There were no immediate reports of injuries.
It was centered near Louisa, Va., which is northwest of Richmond and south of Washington.
Obama and many of the nation's leaders were out of town on August vacation when the quake struck at 1:51 p.m. EDT. The shaking was felt on the Martha's Vineyard golf course as Obama was just starting a round. But not to worry, he kept golfing and is not coming home to the W.H.!
The East Coast gets earthquakes, but usually smaller ones and is less prepared than California or Alaska for shaking.At Reagan National Airport outside Washington, ceiling tiles fell during a few seconds of shaking.
Authorities announced it was an earthquake and all flights were put on hold.
At the Pentagon in northern Virginia, a low rumbling built and built to the point that the building was shaking. People ran into the corridors of the government's biggest building and as the shaking continued there were shouts of "Evacuate! Evacuate!"

A nuclear power plant located in Louisa County, the epicenter of the earthquake in Virginia, has shut down.
The North Anna Power Station, operated by Dominion Power, has two reactors. Both reactors tripped automatically at the time of the quake and shut down.
The plant declared an "unusual event" in the wake of the 5.9 magnitude quake, which is the lowest stage on the plant's emergency scale.
As a result, the plant has been shut down.
The AP reports the plant is being run off of four emergency diesel generators, which are supplying power for critical safety equipment.
Nuclear Regulatory Commission spokesman Roger Hannah says the agency was not immediately aware of any damage at nuclear power plants in the southeast.
NRC officials are still assessing the situation.

It is possibly the most energetic event on Earth since the Chicxulub impact, which was 50 times more powerful.

Knowing what my parents and fellow immigrants from their era went through to just get the okay to come to America legally, it sickens me that people now think is their right to come here illegally, receive benefits, and then have the nerve to protest that they aren’t receiving more. (My parents , who had relatives to sponsor them, waited 7-years to get the okay to come to America legally.) Their sponsors were responsible to help them with any needs or emergencies for 5-years, not the government. And the first thing they did after securing a place to live and a job for my father was to enroll in English classes in night school, where they met other immigrants from all over the world with similar experiences that they remained friends with for a life time.
Just earlier today I spoke with a gal who came here about 7-years ago with her family through legal channels. She was amazed how easy we have made to come here and how we immediately extend any and all benefits to immigrants… legal and illegal. She said it sadden her because if cheapens the dream and makes takers out of those who come the wrong and are takers by nature.
This relaxing of the system and requirements is not what the American people want. It is what the globalists want to create first of all a North American Union (just look how well that idea has worked in Europe… now in ruins) and then ultimately to move us to a New World Order with one global government.
Progressives, which include Obama and almost everyone in the White House, use Political Correctness and word policing to program us, shame us into submission, and change words and terms to make negatives more palatable like changing Global Warming to Climate Change and Illegal Immigrants to Undocumented Immigrants.
We are standing at the edge in so many areas and every American must decide whether they love this country and their rights and stand up for the law and the Constitution or whether they want to swept up by the likes or the Progressive Movement, the United Nations and people like George Soros and Henry Kissinger who want to make us all equal pons in a world system.

Remember Homeland Security Secretary Jane Napalitano’s mantra from last year the border is “as secure now as it has ever been”? (See here and here.) No one better show her the following video, which claims to show two young girls tackling, and conquering, the U.S./Mexico immigration fence in under 18 seconds — by hand:

The video comes from the creator of a film called “The Other Side of Immigration.” Interestingly, the goal of that film and the above video is not meant as a statement on the necessity of increased border security. Rather, the film bills itself as a documentary purporting to show the plight of Mexicans, why they are flocking to the U.S., and an alternative theory on how to stop illegal immigration.
“The film explores why so many people leave small Mexican towns to work in the United States and what happens to the families and communities they leave behind,” the film’s website says. “By understanding ‘the other side’ of the story, we’ll begin to think about new and more creative ways that the U.S. and Mexican governments can work together to solve our undocumented immigration problem.”
According to the YouTube video’s explanation, “new and more creative ways” include investing in Mexican infrastructure.
“How many greenhouses could we build for the cost of that wall?” the video’s creator, Ray Germano, asks. “If we invest in Mexico, people won’t want to leave.”
Germano currently holds a Ph.D. from the University of Texas and a master’s degree from the University of Chicago. In his bio, he wonders if Americans would turn to illegal immigration to support their families under the right circumstances:
I wonder, however, how many Americans wouldn’t hesitate to violate the immigration laws of a foreign country if doing so meant vastly improving the life chances of their children. Would you think twice about migrating illegally to Canada, for example, if the U.S. economy was in ruins, your children were destined for a life of poverty, and there were plenty of high-wage jobs to be done in Canada?
The description ends with a final question: “Would spending a dollar to reduce poverty in Mexico be a more effective way to reduce undocumented immigration than spending a dollar to build more fencing along the border?”
However, neither the author‘s bio nor the video’s description say anything about the deadly drug cartel violence gripping Mexican border towns, which many cite as evidence for increased border security and consistently enforced immigration laws. Those people, like the video, also note that the money spent on the fence is worthless without accompanying enforcement.

The Tim Tebow Super Bowl Ad highlighted that Liberal Women’s Movements like NOW are only for choice… if it is their choice!!! Is that really freedom of speech? And after the commercial aired and was popular, NOW has come up with some insane statement about the ad promoting violence against women, but if you believe that strangely there was no word against the ad showing Betty White being tackled… guess tackling Old Women isn’t violence. And except for the radical women’s groups, like NOW, the main comment heard about the Tebow commercial, even from men, is that is was sweet. Don’t be duped by the left’s games, girls. They don’t care about you, just their left-wing ideas and promoting their organizations… like unions it isn’t really about the overall good of the workers and definitely not about the good of America or viability of the workplace! When Megyn Kelly spoke to the author of a blog post on the Tebow ad subject earlier today, she back peddled trying to direct another attack on Focus on the Family, perhaps realizing how ridiculous this all sounded and how unbalanced her point of view was, considering they had not addressed the commercial with Betty White, which would have been just as ridiculous considering most Americans have a sense of humor.
And then there is the $2.5 million Census commercial paid for by you to manipulate you into distribution of wealth.
