BECK ISSUES CALL FOR ‘HUMAN RESPONSIBILITY’ MOVEMENT; DEPARTS JERUSALEM FOR SOUTH AFRICA

The heat of the afternoon sun in Jerusalem could not match the fervor of Glenn Beck’s “Restoring Courage” call to follow a “pillar of fire” in pursuit of the truth and wisdom.

After months of preparation, the controversial event unfolded smoothly with Beck telling the large crowd, “I have been asked: What can you teach Israel about Courage?   My answer is simple.  Nothing.  Then they ask: Why are you coming to Israel? Because, I say: In Israel, you see courage.”

Beck described the world as “confused,” and pointed to flash points in Europe as signs of societies losing touch with philosophical moorings:

“In Europe, the great nations of the past – Greece, Italy, Spain, Britain – are falling into chaos and violence.

We have raised up a generation who cannot tell the difference between what they owe society and what society owes them.

They interviewed the rioters in England. Why, they were asked, are you stealing shoes or televisions. “Because,” the rioters said in response, “because we deserve them.”

We may think: Oh, how different are today’s youth! But the young merely imitate their parents. They have seen how the world reacts to evil – with indifference. They watch, they learn, they imitate. What one generation tolerates, the next generation will embrace.”

Anti-Beck protests chanted from outside the Old City walls, but groups of pro-Beck Israelis countered with signs and songs of their own.

Beck challenged the live crowd and those watching on his new GBTV network to read what he is calling a Declaration of Rights & Responsibilities:

In order to continually experience life, liberty and happiness as promised, nature’s God demands obedience to His law to protect those rights.

This is where we have fallen short and therefore, in order not to lose the blessings of freedom, the people of the world must turn from the sole focus on rights, and recognize the inherent and required responsibilities that we have.

Among the responsibilities to which we must adhere to maintain our God given rights are honor, courage and vigilance.

Over time, we believe that these basic human responsibilities have been trampled, and replaced with degradation, fear and apathy.

Saying that “it didn’t take a prophet to see these things,” Beck described his growing concern that turbulent world affairs would bode ill for Israel:

“And so this year, when I saw Tunisia’s and Egypt’s rulers crack and fall and the world called it the Arab Spring, I said: Where could this be going? And behind these revolutions was a familiar force, a force that will place those nations under a new pharaoh. And that force, I said, would come up to the borders of Israel. And so it has.

We are not at the mercy of these events. We can alter the course of history. We can stand against the dangerous arc of this story.

But we need people who are willing to speak truth. We need inspiration. We need a model to follow.”

Beck said that at the conclusion of his speech he would leave that instant for South Africa:

“Some people call Israel an apartheid state. I reject that. And so immediately following this program I will fly to South Africa, which is where apartheid actually existed. I will broadcast from Cape Town tomorrow morning to remind the world what the evil of apartheid really looked like.

And I will learn from the people who conquered the hatred, ignorance and bigotry and who chartered a peaceful course for a new South Africa.

Then on Friday I will fly to South America to plead the case of human responsibility to a group of nearly 5,000 local leaders from all over the continent and ask them to join me in standing in defense of Israel, the Jewish people and responsibility.

Finally on Sunday, I will speak to 5,000 Americans in Dallas, Texas.   I have chosen to end my week in the town where I will headquarter the charitable division of my company, Mercury One.  Dedicated to the idea that one man, inspired by one God, makes a difference. This trip will end where a global moment begins.”

While Glenn Beck’s Restoring Courage event in Israel appeared to go off without a hitch to those watching, he revealed on radio Thursday that he and his team were forced to make last-minute changes because several confirmed participants faced threats, including threats on their lives.

Beck said that the choir scheduled to perform canceled just days before the finale after they were called into a meeting last Friday and told they would be dismissed, and would probably never work again, if they contributed their talents. Despite being in full support of the program, they decided that the consequences were just too great.

The choir that performed, then, was “cobbled together” after the original choir canceled on Sunday.

Several others suffered similar threats, including death threats.

“I have to tell you some of the stories that I wasn’t able to tell you before and let’s start with this,” Beck explained while broadcasting from South Africa. “Yesterday, if you watched the broadcast on GBTV, if you watched the whole event that unfolded at the Temple Mount, what you may not know is how many people canceled at the last minute, and not because they were, you know, ‘I’m not going to stand with him,’ none of that. The reason why they canceled is because they were under death threat.”

In fact, Beck revealed that an Arab participant couldn’t even sing words when he took the stage. Instead, he could only utter melodic moans — anything else could have cost him his life.

“I don’t blame them for this at all,” Beck said regarding those who decided to pull out. You can listen to him explain the threats and the changes below:

The second night of the “Restoring Courage” events in Israel took place the Old Train Station in Jerusalem.

“An amazing land, an amazing people,“ Glenn Beck said as he began the program he entitled ”Courage to Remember.”  The program focused on the Holocaust and the lessons that need to be newly learned today.

Rabbi Moshe Rothchild opened with a prayer tying the evening‘s location to the evening’s theme:

“Tonight as we gather beside these old train tracks in Jerusalem, we remember another set of tracks.

The tracks that led our brothers and sisters to the infamous places of Auschwitz, Birkenau, Buchenwald, Majdanek, Treblinka and Sobibor…and all the places of death and darkness.

We pray that our gathering her tonight should bring forth healing and light.”

Beck then introduced actor Jon Voight, who’s talk veered from comical accounts of his attempts at dancing to Jewish tunes, to deeply serious stories of his work in Israel with victims wounded by suicide bombers.  “What I witnessed would tear my heart out,” he said.  “I feel completely outraged for anyone who would make any excuse for this kind of barbarism.  And I feel complete contempt for anyone who is not intelligent enough to see that this propaganda in the media, painting the Palestinians as poor victims, is capable of destroying the Jewish nation in Israel.”

The main part of the program featured a screening of a very personal documentary, “Kleiner Rudy,” which tells the family story of filmmaker Michelle Stein Teer.  She chronicles her grandfather’s return, at age 85, to the German town of Norden where he lost his own father and thirty members of his family the Holocaust.

BECK LAUNCHES WEEK OF ‘RESTORING COURAGE’ EVENTS FROM ISRAEL

As the sun eased it’s way into the Mediterranean horizon Sunday evening, Glenn Beck greeted an enthusiastic crowd of over 3,000 at the Caesarea Amphitheater: “Welcome to the land of milk and honey!”

Beck’s week of “Restoring Courage” events is beginning with a religiously themed evening entitled “The Courage to Love.”

Early in the program Beck was joined on the stage by historian David Barton.  Grammy-nominated vocalist Vernessa Mitchell was accompanied by an ensemble of Israeli singers and musicians.  In the first half of the program the audience heard passionate remarks by author Mike Evans and Florida pastor Tom Mullins.

Mullins challenged the capacity crowd:

“It’s time for the people of faith to stand with a courage that flows from God’s deep love and defend Israel!

We are gathered in the very spot, where, centuries ago, the faith of the Apostle Paul was put on trial.  Paul resolutely refused to compromise the truth of his faith. He stood with great courage and embraced his destiny; and his life had profound, eternal impact on the world.”

Rabbi Shlomo Riskin defined “courage” in contrast with its “fraternal twin” strength:

“Strength  is physical prowess: Courage is spiritual sensitivity.

Strength is rooted in selfish self aggrandizement, hell-bent on taking over and dominating “other” on destroying one’s enemy.

Courage is rooted in self sacrifice, Heaven-sent to give to and share with “other” to turn one‘s hated enemy into one’s beloved friend.

Strength revels in power.

Courage reaches out in love.”

Indeed, Courage begets and demands love; the very Hebrew word for love Ahava, derives from the root verb HAV which means to give.

Pastor John Hagee spoke just before Beck’s concluding remarks:

“We have come tonight to say to the people of Israel, you are still the apple of God’s eye, you are still the chosen people, you are still the covenant people, you are still cherished the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.”

Beck began his final talk by asking the audience to “Honor these people who have honored God for so long.”

While noting that many in the crowd had come at “great expense,“ he praised those who had come at ”great risk” to their personal safety.

One year ago Glenn Beck and his team put on Restoring Honor in Washington D.C.  It was a major success, but he told his staff that they would not do that again.  But this year he was called to do Restoring Courage in Israel.

Beck: Furious After Boehner Doesn’t Allow Congressmen To Attend Rally: ‘The Republican Party Sickens Me’

As Mediaite readers know, Glenn Beck is the undisputed king of the angry monologue. Unfortunately though (or fortunately, depending on your opinion of the man), we haven’t gotten much of it recently in this time between his Fox News and GBTV shows. However, today on his radio show, Beck let loose with a torrent of anger and frustration at an issue he described as having been going on for a few weeks now. Before he began, Beck said he would post what he was going to say online, thus forever disproving anyone who thought he was a “shill” for the Republican Party.

Considering the amount of venom he then let out towards the GOP establishment, he can consider his point made.

It all started with a conversation with Rep. Joe Walsh who described sadly the fact that House Speaker Boehner’s office had denied his and other congressmen’s requests to attend Beck Israel rally in an official capacity as a fact-finding mission. Beck maintained his composure during the call with Walsh, offering the Illinois Congressman a free GBTV membership to watch from there. However, you could hear just how frustrated he was with the whole situation as he wondered allowed if Boehner wasn’t just punishing Tea Party Republicans for not voting for his debt plan.

Then, once Walsh was off the line, Beck really got into it:

“Speaker Boehner, you should be ashamed of yourself. The Republican Party should be ashamed of themselves. They don’t have to attend my event. Let them come to our biggest ally and our only friend in the Middle East in their hour of need. They don’t have to attend my event! In fact, I’ll ban them. Does that make you happy? Let Congress come here! You should be ashamed of yourself for playing politics. That’s what it is, Boehner, and you know it. The Republican Party sickens me.”

Yesterday I received ‘a special deal’ message from WND yesterday which included a (15-minute) clip from one of Beck’s Fox Shows on Iran and the Islamic Antichrist or 12th Imam that Ahmadinejad believes in and therefore really is at the center of what is going on in Israel and the Middle East.  It is a video worth watching… for the first time or a review, so am sharing it again.

Glenn Beck Planning Web TV Channel GBTV, Tagline: ‘The Truth Lives Here’

Outgoing Fox News host Glenn Beck and his company, Mercury Radio Arts, are developing a new service called “GBTV,” which will be a web-based TV channel, according to sources familiar with the matter as well as trademark applications filed by the company.

GBTV will be based at GBTV.com, which Mercury acquired in January.

Mercury also filed a trademark on a tagline for the channel: “The Truth Lives Here,” as well as a logo (pictured after the jump), based on the logo for his “InsiderExtreme” subscription service.

The trademark applications are limited exclusively to programming delivered via the internet, so it is not likely that GBTV will become an actual TV network anytime in the near future. Mercury also filed the GBTV trademark for ancillary products, like DVDs, podcasts, mobile applications and video games.

Back in March, the New York Times floated the possibility that Beck would either start his own cable channel, or expand his presence on the web:

“Two of the options Mr. Beck has contemplated…are a partial or wholesale takeover of a cable channel, or an expansion of his subscription video service on the Web,” The Times wrote.

The cable channel angle got more pickup but it is the Internet-based channel that seems likely to come to fruition, at least in the short-term. We noted the challenges a Glenn Beck-branded cable channel would have here.

Beck already has original programming and other content on his website, and people seem to be willing to pay for it through his “InsiderExtreme” memberships. Content includes original programs hosted by Beck staffers, as well as a show hosted by conservative commentator S.E. Cupp.

Beck recently hired former Fox News executive Joel Cheatwood to join Mercury, and one source familiar with the situation says that Cheatwood is hard at work developing programming concepts for GBTV.

The actual business model for GBTV remains unclear. It may be free to view, with revenue derived from advertising and other revenue streams like DVDs or smartphone apps. A more likely scenario is that people would subscribe to GBTV by paying a monthly fee–as they do for “InsiderExtreme”–and would be able to access that content from whichever platform they choose.

Mercury Radio Arts also announced another big internet play this week: MarkDown.com, a “daily deals” site in the same vein as Groupon.

“Glenn has always been ahead of the digital curve with GlennBeck.com, InsiderExtreme, TheBlaze and Markdown and as has been previously reported, this is one of the ideas that he has been exploring for some time,” a source told TVNewser.

For now, of course, Beck remains on Fox News Channel, but when his TV program ends, it certainly looks like his new home will be online.

Think Beck is wrong or that it can’t and won’t happen here in the U.S.?  Think again, the seeds have already been sown!

Recently ultra-right Glenn Beck had a guest on his show who was about as ultra-Left as one gets.  She was a liberal Democrat who believes in ‘social justice’ and supports Barack Obama.  Yet the two opposites found common ground on one issue:  they both believe the curriculum in Arizona is nothing short of treason.

According to a report on Beck’s site, “The district isn’t trying to ban the program outright. Instead, it wants to make a controversial history class — that calls for “death to the invaders” and was found to advocate overthrowing the U.S. government — an elective instead of allowing it to substitute for required history credits. That’s it. And the disturbing class would still be available to students.”

And disturbing it is.  From an essay entitled “Death to the Invader!” it says:

Our people in California resisted the U.S. invaders and Serbulos Varela led a revolt at Los Angeles.  In Nuevo Mexico, six months after Gov. Armijo sold out to the U.S., the people also rose in revolt.  It is said that Father Antonio Jose’ Martinez, a radical priest of Taos who helped the poor against the rich, encouraged them.

Another example of their extreme hate-inducing, race-baiting writing is from “Why We Don’t Know Our Indigenous Culture”:

With the exception of genocide, one of the worst crimes committed by the European invaders against indigenous peoples was the destruction of nearly all their culture, thought beliefs, traditions, and language.  This atrocity has left the majority of the hemisphere’s indigenous population in disarray and confusion to their true identity.

The crazy thing—besides the obvious—is the fact that this curriculum is being taught in an American school at all!  As seen in the following video, when the Tucson school board tried to make it an ‘electives only’ class, the result was a wild protest in which students chained themselves to tables and chairs, yelling violently “Fight Back!”

Glenn Beck will be the keynote speaker at Christians United for Israel’s sixth annual Washington Summit on July 18-20, 2011. Glenn will give the keynote speech at “A Night to Honor Israel” ,a banquet held on Tuesday evening, July 19.

While Christians United for Israel (CUFI) has regularly held hundreds of “Nights for Israel” across America, this annual event gives participants the opportunity to unite their voices in speaking with elected officials to maintain our nation’s support for Israel and the Jewish state.

Roughly 4,500 people gathered at last year’s Washington Summit to demonstrate solidarity with Israel and listen to speakers and religious leaders such as world-renowned pastor and founder of CUFI, John Hagee.

The news is starting to trickle out about what happened with our stimulus money.

The Federal Reserve has revealed details of the trillions of dollars it gave in emergency aid to U.S. and foreign banks during the financial crisis.

New documents show it paid out a staggering $1.5trillion (almost £1trillion) to British banks - over a third of the total money lent - in an effort to prop up the financial sector.

The Fed dished out $2.2trillion to banking giant Citigroup, $2.1trillion to Merrill Lynch and $2trillion to Morgan Stanley.

In addition, payments have also be made to Bear Stearns ($960billion), Bank of America ($887billion), Goldman Sachs ($615billion), JPMorgan Chase ($178billion) and Wells Fargo ($154billion).  READ THE FULL STORY AT DAILYMAIL.CO.UK

And foreign banks who benefited from the Fed's aid included European Central Bank, Bank of England and the Bank of Japan as well as Swiss bank UBS, which borrowed more than $165billion, Deutsche Bank ($97billion) and the Royal Bank of Scotland ($92billion).

We are streaming toward globalism… a New World Order, yet people are still under the illusion that it can’t happen here… It can’t happen to us! How is that possible??  Even though we have been warned by experts and we are seeing our future in Europe.

Greece only makes up a small percentage of Europe’s and the world economies.  But it is an example or warning of the dominoes beginning to fall in Europe (the EU).  Greece is the 27th largest economy in the world… (GDP is 300 Bil and 2.5% of the EU could bring them down) California is the 8th… (GDP is 1.8 Trillion and 13% of our economy)  Think about it!  If they California falls, the domino affect begins here.  Europe is the biggest economy in the world.  Any question that California could bring us down?

Remember when Beck spoke about mutually insured destruction?  It began with nuclear weapons… then it went to wars in general which is why every one of our wars ends up like Viet Nam… and then they applied the same concept to economics; mutually assured economic destruction.  So we are now all interlinked and must bail each other out or all fall.

Europe is ahead of us in the destruction but also ahead of us in solutions.  They have enacted a number of changes, austerity programs, that we have not even considered. There is actually a great chance of the U.S. falling before or instead of Europe i we don not wake up and act.

Top 4-States in the United States that could go:  New jersey, Illinois, New York and California.  The question is do we make the tough decisions and let these states go?  Or do we bail them out because they are ‘too big to fail’ and go down the road of the Roman Republic and so many others before us.?

There is a solution to all this… not a comfortable solution, but there is a solution.

It is imperative that you look beyond the headlines… here in the U.S. and in Europe

We all must start thinking out of the box, following our guts and applying common sense!

And the answer is:  Self Reliance

It is going to be difficult but we must change to survive.  Great back-up information both in Broke and the 5000 Year Leap (The Five Thousand Year Leap).  Our choice very soon as individuals and a nation is are we going to die of live??

We are going to have to decided whether we are willing to be self-reliant and make the sacrifices, and they are going to be huge, or be herded first into a huge America without state borders where we have to support everyone… which will fail.  And then a North American Union without borders, where we have to support everyone… which will fail, just look at the EU.  And then they will herd together the nations, the continents into a huge global government that we will all have to support… which will eventually also fail, unless we are all lucky enough to be called home.  It is coming and it is up to each of us who choose freedom and are willing to fight to take care of themselves, then band together and then support and help those who are like minded.

It must start with each of us individually…  One of the best ways to do that is take the 40-day and 40-night challenge, base on hope, faith and charity.  It has to start with each of us with God’s help and then we must band together.

First...faith. I will pray on my knees every night for the next 40 nights...starting TONIGHT. Pray for guidance, inspiration, peace...pray for the leaders of our country. Pray for their safety, and that they will receive wisdom. I will re-establish my relationship with God.
Hope...hope comes from truth. You can't have hope based on lies. If you go to the doctor and you're in the early stages of cancer, but the doctor tells you that you just have the sniffles...that's false hope, and it won't help you, in fact, it would kill you. So, we have to have honesty, to have real hope. So, I will stop all lies for the next 40 days. That includes lying to myself. I will establish a pattern of honesty and make it become habitual. I will question with boldness...everything...even the things Glenn Beck tells you every night...I will do my own research...and then pray for my own confirmation on the things I have learned. I will find out what is true in my life.
And third...I will have charity. Charity begins at home. I will do something kind for every member of your family at least once a week. I will write it down, and then do it. Also, I pledge to take notice of how blessed I really am. I live in the greatest country the world has ever known...and even the least prosperous among us, are among the wealthiest people in the world...I will be grateful.

You also need to start with preparedness:  Food storage, clothes storage, learn to can, save for what you will need in the worst of times.  Become self-reliant and then teach others to become self-reliant. 

The answer to saving our freedom is self-reliance and individualism, not collectivism, which is where the Progressives are trying to herd us.

Remember… in the worst of times, most of us survive.  Then the challenge is surviving and re-building our world into something better than what caused the devastation!

Our theater was packed last night!  Everyone needs to read Beck’s book Broke and see this show!!  I am hoping that Glenn will put this on Extreme after the Encore performance or cell it on DVD!

I bought two more copies of the book and mailed one to my Senator and one to my Congressman.  Might send one to my state Senator and Representative as well.  Every public official needs to read this book.  I will be giving out copies as Christmas gifts this year as well!

I just returned from my local Cinemark Theater where I went to see Glenn Beck's video Town Hall special presentation of "Broke". It was quite an event. I'm in Louisville, Kentucky. This is the first "live theater event" I have attended. I had NO IDEA how many people would be there. At $20 a ticket, I actually thought I might be nearly alone. Hardly. The event was shown in the LARGEST theater at the 10-plex. I estimate, the crowd was more than 150-200 people. Great people.. caring people. I was very proud to be a member of that audience. The...

**There are answers to all that ails us and that people in the know have been warning us about for years.  It is time that Americans wake up and that we start to move forward on the hard stuff; the stuff we will have to do to save our Republic and freedom and to beat the Progressives and Globalists.  We need to start by accepting the fact that it is going to be hard.  We need to start using our using cunning, common sense and get better at  civil disobedience that the libs have used against us for years!  We need to educate ourselves and our kids; unplug from the electronics except for the absolute essentials and definitely unplug our kids.  We need to cancel all guilt over being politically incorrect.  And we need to be involved, watchdogs, and become self-reliant, honest, charitable and creative.  We need to get off our addiction to stuff and we need to understand what the media is doing to us.  We need to make better decisions about educating our kids! We need to really talk to each other and especially our children (including talking while eating dinner together, and we need to think out of the box.  We also need to find our way back to God because we can’t do this alone!
