Sen. Richard Shelby, R-Ala., ranking Republican on the Senate Committee on Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs, calls for a probe of ACORN in a letter to committee Chairman Christopher Dodd, D-Conn
Pressure is building for a top-to-bottom review of ACORN in the wake of undercover videos showing the organization giving advice on how to skirt federal laws, with a top Senate Republican calling for a "thorough" investigation and other lawmakers proposing sanctions.
House Minority Leader John Boehner introduced legislation Tuesday that would break all federal government ties with ACORN -- the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now. House Republicans also wrote a letter to President Obama asking him to use his authority to end all federal funding for ACORN.
The call for a congressional probe came from Sen. Richard Shelby, R-Ala., ranking Republican on the Senate Committee on Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs. Shelby made the request in a letter to committee Chairman Christopher Dodd, D-Conn.
The letter comes after the Senate voted 83-7 Monday to cut off the group from Housing and Urban Development grants. The Census Bureau on Friday also severed ties with ACORN. Nine lawmakers, eight of them Republican, did not vote on Monday. Sens. Roland Burris, D-Ill.; Dick Durbin, D-Ill.; Bob Casey, D-Pa.; Kirsten Gillibrand, D-N.Y.; Patrick Leahy, D-Vt.; Bernie Sanders, I-Vt.; and Sheldon Whitehouse, D-R.I., voted against the Senate measure. But mind you… ACORN said each time after the 1st and 2nd videos and repeated allegations and even admitted violations and convictions that they were isolated incidents, a few bad apples, or renegade employees… and then threw their employees under the bus.
Wait until you see today’s tape…

The Science Behind the ACORN Sting
by Hannah Giles
After going undercover on the east coast, James and I headed to the west coast. We knew it was a risky endeavor but the results on the east coast were too good to ignore. We had to test our scenario in an opposite region. It is like a science experiment:
1) Ask A Question: What if a “prostitute” and her alleged law school boyfriend walk into ACORN seeking housing for an underage brothel to fund his future congressional campaign?
2) Do Background Research:
- Learn as much about ACORN housing procedures and protocol as possible.
- History of ACORN and their effect on the United States
3) Construct a Hypothesis: ACORN is corrupt and it is in their nature to promote and disguise illegal behavior.
4) Experiment: Baltimore, DC, Brooklyn, San Bernardino, and…
5) Analyze and draw a conclusion.
America - James O’Keefe and I posed a question and gathered the evidence. We’ve run around this nation on a quest for truth unraveling the mystery of organized corruption.
You Decide.
