The world has always (until recently) considered America the greatest beacon of hope and the Constitution/Declaration of Independence the greatest document (other than religious materials) ever produced! The French patterned their move toward freedom after ours and presented us with the Statue of Liberty on our 3rd birthday.
How many classrooms spent part of their day today discussing or reading the Constitution? About the Founding Fathers? Or, what it means to be an American? Sadly somehow, I doubt many. And what they learn about American history these days is so skewed that it hardly matters, unless you have a teacher that is a true history buff or is over 45-years-old and has the guts to stand up to the system, for the textbooks have all been re-written.
Yet all of a sudden, we have a president who thinks the Constitution is fundamentally flawed and a First Lady who was never proud of her Country until her radical husband was chosen… two people who sat in radical liberal leftist Jeremiah Wright’s church hearing “God D_mn America” and the like, weekly and was mentored by leftists, communists, progressive community organizers.

Today marks the 222th anniversary of the formation and signing of our Constitution. The United States Constitution is one of the greatest founding documents in history because it charted a bold new path in the realm of political theory. Not only does the Constitution establish checks and balances within the federal government, it also divides power among the federal government, the states, and the people. The Founders understood that it is the nature of government to grow at the expense of the people’s liberty; and with that in mind, they established a form of government that would be limited in scope and power in order to maximize power to the people.
Today, let’s also take the opportunity to thank our armed forces. The weight of defending our liberty rests on their shoulders, and because of their efforts and sacrifice, we can celebrate the 222th anniversary of the formation of our Constitution.
