Harbor View Park is a public park located at the northeast corner of the Peninsula, about 2 miles from the Peninsula entrance from Route 440. The centerpiece of the park is the 100-foot tall monument“To the Struggle Against World Terrorism” designed and donated by world-renowned artist, Zurab Tsereteli. The base of the monument is engraved with the names of the victims who perished in the September 11 2001 attacks as well as the 1993 World Trade Center attack. Harbor View Park offers a panoramic view of New York Harbor, including the World Trade Center site. The Park, which officially opened in fall of 2006, is open to the public from dawn to dusk. Parking is available.
