9/17/13 - (Fox News) - Judge Andrew Napolitano stopped by Fox and Friends to discuss the Navy Yard shooting and attacker Aaron Alexis. Brian Kilmeade asked whether we can conclude that the government missed some clear warning signs after reports that Alexis suffered from serious mental health problems. The judge likened this situation to NSA leaker Edward Snowden in that it's another example of the government being unable to properly vet a vendor or employee who received a security clearance.
"Whatever you think of Edward Snowden and the constitutional wisdom of what he did, the government didn't know he was there. The government obviously didn't know this guy was there," said Napolitano, who then pointed out that Washington, D.C. has in place some of the strictest gun laws in the nation.
He said officers at the Navy Yard aren't legally able to carry a weapon once they leave the building. Napolitano questioned why officers on military bases are not armed following Fort Hood and now this latest attack.
"Candidly, we have a problem with the military. If you cannot trust military officers to carry weapons on a military base after Ford Hood and after this, then people don't believe in the Second Amendment at all," he said.
Napolitano said if there were armed military personnel at the Navy Yard yesterday, the casualty figures would have been much lower. Plus, he said the presence of armed officers could have dissuaded the gunman from attacking in the first place.
Initial Reactions in Iran to Report on Foiling of Iranian Terror Operation in Washington
Yesterday the DOJ’s Eric Holder took credit for foiling an Iranian Terror Operation in Washington. We commented then: “Sure is convenient for Holder though… takes the focus off the fact that he was supposed to have been served with a subpoena today for Fast and Furious - Gunwalker… How convenient indeed?!? Makes you wonder if this news was to cover for his other deeds; sad that you have to think that way!!”
And now it turns out that no one is buying this story. Why would Iran leave any trace of their involvement? The timing (DOJ covers for deeds), the fact that Iran has left a trace of their involvement – sloppy…
Glenn Beck spent quite a lot of time on his show today talking about just this subject. Something about this story is just wrong!
Now it comes out that they have known about Operation Red Coalition for months; killing an Israeli and a Saudi on U.S soil. So why report it now? If you think about it in a traditional way (pre-9.11) Pros: This act would tie Israel, Saudi Arabia and the U.S. together and if you can pull this off it would make us (all 3) look weak. And if the U.S. does not respond we look weak to the world. Con: The negative is that we could end up wiping Iran off the map… if we had any guts.
Post 9.11 thinking: How about just announcing this… even if this isn’t true because if opens the door for the globalists to move forward with their NWO plans and it would work for our administration as well as those organizing the Occupy Wall Street and Arab Spring uprisings… all the same people anyway! And we need to know what the other GOP candidates think as well and hear directly from them on what they think about this incident. Hillary Clinton "The idea that they would attempt to go to a Mexican drug cartel to solicit murder-for-hire to kill the Saudi ambassador? Nobody could make that up, right?" Clinton said shortly after U.S. prosecutors accused two suspected Iranian agents of trying to murder Saudi envoy Adel Al-Jubeir.
Hours after the October 11, 2011 release of a report in Washington on the foiling of intentions by two Iranian nationals to assassinate the Saudi ambassador to the U.S. and to carry out an attack on the Saudi Embassy in Washington, Iranian regime representatives and the Iranian media denied the allegations.
In Iran, the affair is being referred to as an "evil plot" of the U.S. administration which has been damaged by the fall of the Middle East regimes identified with it. This plot, it is being claimed, was aimed at diverting the attention of the American public from the Occupy Wall Street protests, and also at distracting public attention in the Middle East from the Islamic awakening, at sowing severe discord between Tehran and its neighbors, and at extricating Israel from its isolation.
Regime officials' reactions reflected fear of a harsh response by Saudi Arabia, as Saudi-Iran relations are already tense following the Bahrain crisis, and also fear of a U.S. military response.
The following are several initial Iranian reactions to the report of the affair:
Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman: It's a U.S.-Zionist Plot; Iran-Saudi Relations Are Based On Mutual Respect
In a hastily called October 11 press conference, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Ramin Mehmanparast vehemently denied Washington's allegations against Iran. He said that with this "prefabricated scenario" and "humorous act,"[1] the U.S. and Israel, who were behind it, aimed to "sow discord" among the Islamic countries and thus help extricate Israel from its isolation.
Mehmanparast added that the allegations against Iran reflect an attempt by the White House to extricate itself from the widespread protests within and outside the country against its policy. He said that Riyadh-Tehran relations were based on mutual respect, and that such a false claim would do them no harm and would have no effect on world public opinion.[2]
Iranian Ambassador In Letter To U.N. Secretary-General: This "Evil Plot" Will Have "Detrimental Effects On Peace and Security"
In a letter to U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-Moon, to the president of the U.N. Security Council, and to the president of the U.N. General Assembly, Iranian Ambassador to the U.N. Mohammad Khazaee said that Iran "strongly and categorically" rejects the "fabricated and baseless allegations, based on the suspicious claims by an individual," "condemns this shameful allegation," and "deplores it as a well-thought evil plot in line with [the U.S.'s] anti-Iranian policy to divert attention from the current economic and social problems at home and the popular revolutions and protests against United States long supported dictatorial regimes abroad."
Noting that "The U.S. allegation is, obviously, a politically-motivated move and a showcase of its long-standing animosity towards the Iranian nation," he warned, "Any country could accuse other countries through fabrication of such stories. However, this would set dangerous precedents in the relations among States."
He added, "The Islamic Republic of Iran warns against the implications of this horrible scenario and submits that the continuation of such divide-and-rule policies could have detrimental effects on peace and security... [Iran aims] to maintain its friendly relations with all regional countries, particularly with its Muslim neighbors, and invites all to be vigilant against the vicious campaigns targeting stability and peace and friendly relations among States in our region."
He continued, "As the Secretary-General of the United Nations, you have an important responsibility in enlightening the international public opinion about the dangerous consequences of warmongering policies of the United States Government on international peace and security."[3]
Iranian Majlis Speaker: The Americans Have Started a Children's Game To Divert Public Attention From Its Domestic and Middle East Problems
In an October 12 speech at the Majlis, answering criticism by the Majlis Supreme National Security Committee on the committee's lack of response to the allegations, Majlis Speaker Ali Larijani said that the Americans had made a "hasty and stupid" step aimed at diverting attention from its problems in the Middle East. He said that Washington's allegations regarding the foiling of an attack on the Saudi Embassy in Washington were aimed at marginalizing media coverage of its domestic problems.
He said: "U.S. Secretary of State [Hillary Clinton] was meant to issue a declaration in the final minutes of the night [of October 11, 2011] but the plan was cancelled. It transpires that they [the Americans] were politically paralyzed, and realized that they had started a children's game." He said that Tehran had normal relations with Saudi Arabia, and that there was no reason for Iran to plot such "childish operations."
Referring to Saudi Arabia, Larijani said, "We think that our neighbors have discerned that this is an American plot aimed at diverting public attention from its own problems in the region, but this plot has not managed to stop the Islamic awakening in the region." Turning to a member of the Supreme National Security Committee, he added, "I don't think that this issue is important enough for me to deal with."[4]
Majlis Supreme National Security Committee: This "Big Lie" Will Not Extricate the White House From the Wall Street Uprising
In an interview with the Iranian news agency Fars, Majlis Supreme National Security Committee chairman Ala Al-Din Boroujerdi said, "Without a doubt, this new American-Zionist plot was aimed at diverting public attention from the crisis in which [President] Obama has become entangled – [that is,] the Wall Street popular uprising." He assessed that the White House would not be successful in this attempt, and added, "Iran has never employed such a policy of assassinating individuals – on the contrary, it itself has been the victim of terrorism. Therefore, the claims by American officials are nothing more than a big lie." [5]
Entekhab: The Lack of a Determined, Effective Response Could Lead to a Military Attack Against Iran
In a reaction published immediately after the news of the affair broke, the Iranian website Entekhab, which is identified with critics of Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, called the American allegations against Iran "a dangerous and rare scenario." It warned that "if Iranian Foreign Ministry officials do not respond firmly, effectively, and wisely, and if they do not succeed in responding to these ridiculous and silly claims by America and the West, the general atmosphere in the world could pave the way to a limited military attack on Iran."
The website also complained about the Iranian Foreign Ministry's passivity in the affair, and warned that if it continued the country could face "almost dreadful risks."[6]
Time to point a few things, watch them like a hawk and speak up!
The next time somebody tells me we must all sacrifice to save our country, I am going to tell them, “eat my peas”. Thank you, President Obama, for a great line.
First, let’s get something straight - soldiers and sailors and marines and airmen sacrifice to save our country; nobody else does. This whole shared sacrifice thing is a crock - the cannibal demanding a shared sacrifice at dinnertime.
Where was the shared sacrifice when the businessman quit his job 30 years ago and double-mortgaged his home to take a chance on a dream? Did any teachers come and work in his firm during their summer off so that his wife and kids could have a week of proper vacation? Did anyone donate their savings so she would not have to work two jobs to support the family during those start-up years? And who was it that shared the sacrifice of the medical school or law school student – did the IT tech at the Department of Motor Vehicles babysit for free so that single mom could sleep for a few hours before the bar exam? Who was their brothers’ keeper back then, comrade?
Why are we only all in this together when the it-takes-the-village-people want to tax the dentists, doctors, lawyers, businesspeople, financiers, investors, entrepreneurs, inventors, visionaries, workaholics and all who have risen to the top of their professions into oblivion? Why do they wait 30 years and then come after our stuff?
And sacrifice for what? To cop an overused phrase, let me be clear: it is not the country they want to save, it’s the government. More specifically, it is their cushy government jobs and their generous government pensions and perks. When any partisan says we all need to sacrifice, he or she is saying that you need to sacrifice so they don’t. There’s your moment of clarity.
Not them, not their team, oh no. They are victims, martyrs, lambs who have already been slaughtered. $100k per year to watch porn on the job and you want me to eat peas? GE doesn’t pay a dime in taxes but you expect me to pitch in the other arm and the other leg? Eat my peas, buddy.
Shared sacrifice means we give and they take; that is the sharing formula. Last night I saw another ugly advertisement where the Cannibal Party candidate in the Milwaukee area recall election told me we all have to share in the sacrifice. Eat my peas, lady. I don’t even know who you are, and I don’t know the lady you are running against, but I know she was elected fair and square. This recall nonsense in Wisconsin is a farce – a union election, run by out of state union pimps. Anyone who has been through one knows the familiar feel.
They get enough signatures to call an election, use the NLRB (oops, GAB) to rig the rules in their favor, schedule it faster than the management side can react, bring in the goons and the cash from outside and then lie, threaten, bully, bribe and cheat to win at all cost. Been there, done that - won all four times.
How low will they go? How about paying kids to lie in advertisements? The very first one they ran in Milwaukee shows “local” kids blaming the pain that the Milwaukee teachers’ union inflicted on its own members – layoffs, larger class sizes – on their Republican opponent. The kids weren’t even local, and the script was so bogus my dogs walked out of the room.
Using kids to spread lies – JFK would be so proud. What’s next, some pre-teen crying in a wheelchair? “Alberta Darling eats children and she closed all of the schools so that my mommy would die.” And when the director yells “cut”, the little princess jumps out of the wheelchair, puts on a flannel shirt, grabs a fishing rod, tucks the pony tail under the cap and pretends to be a boy from Rhinelander: “Kim Simac sold all the hospitals and schools to the Taliban so they can ban country music and dump nuclear waste into the Wisconsin River.”
“Paid for by friends of Agenda 21”. Eat my peas, Soros.
A liberal apologist for those over-the-top ads said they are thought-provoking. Here’s a thought - who in their right mind would spend millions to win a job that pays $49,000 per year? Or this - which did you lose first, your scruples or your marbles? And what on earth do they want to do to us that they want to win bad enough to force kids to lie? That’s what those skanky ads made me think about. As a Libertarian, I had fully intended to stay out of the Wisconsin recall fray. It is a purely partisan peeing contest that will have no impact; and as one of my Facebook friends keenly observed, Republicans’ and Democrats’ top priority is to punish each other. It’s a stupid game, and I didn’t feel like playing. Using kids to lie changed my mind.
So please, vote Republican, no matter who it is. Not because I love Republicans; I don’t. But while Republicans are un-libertarian, Democrats are anti-libertarian. The modern-day Democrat Party stands for nothing; it is the party that pays kids to lie. It’s the Government Party, seeking more government for the sake of more government. Watch their ads in the recall, if you can stomach the bullsnot, and tell me what they stand for, besides not being Scott Walker. And paying kids to lie.
We already did not-Scott-Walker. A decade of not-Scott-Walker left us $3 billion in the tank with the 4th worst business climate in the nation, 39% proficient schools, a smoking ban on private property, tax hikes every year, unilateral personal disarmament, some useless train cars, and a ban on organic milk sales in the Dairy State. You want me to sacrifice some more for that? Eat my peas.

They dragged Congressman Mike Pence into a dark room. They closed the door and attacked him repeatedly without mercy…
And why did they see fit to strong-arm this conservative champion? Because Congressman Pence had the gall to suggest that the federal government should control its spending and cut hundred of billions of dollars of “pork” from the federal budget.
Seriously, Congressman Pence’s trip to the woodshed was so severe that columnist Robert Novak noted that when offered a seat at a subsequent meeting, Pence “explained that he would be more comfortable standing because House Speaker Dennis Hastert had just tanned his hide.”
Think betrayal will not happen again.
If you are a conservative, you voted for less government and better fiscal responsibility, and the Republican leaders promised you’d get it. But if we are not careful all they’ve given us is more out-of-control spending. And taxpayers like you and me and our children and our children’s children are stuck footing the bill. In some ways Congressman Pence, (may I note that the highway bills he and other congress critters were willing to forego were also unconstitutional) should be applauded, not taken to the woodshed for trying to keep the promise that a great many at that time broke. So what to do?
Well you can write your representative and tell them what you think; most of them know my mind already and consider me a nut case which is probably true. But I am a nut case with some power. About a five thousand a day read this site’s news and comments. Not bad for a nut case.
So what (should we do) for the rest of us to do you ask. Continue to write your Congress critter, give them the support they need when they do the right thing. Keep up with the bills that are on the State floors and the floors of Washington. Read the Constitution of the United States…. several times…. Read your state Constitution… at least once. Then Read the Federalist Papers … a difficult read…. but worth it. Getting into the habit of carrying a pocket version of the Constitution is a good idea as well. (Part of the reason the government and the courts get away with unconstitutional actions is because Americans don’t know what they have!).
When something comes up that you think is wrong, discuss it with close friends. Stand your ground and write your critter again. But always remember to write your critter when they do something right too.
It’s good to let them know what you think.
Libertarian GOP Presidential Candidate Gary Johnson, reacting to the latest Boehner and Reid debt compromise deals after another grueling WH meeting (the big problem with both is that they don’t solve the spending problem which will destroy us because Obama is really only interested in appearances and winning re-election), just appeared with Neil Cavuto and says we’d be better off “not raising the debt ceiling ‘now”… than wait until later, even if it drove us into default, but says there is plenty of money to pay the interest on the debt, SS, the Military etc so the only way they wouldn’t get paid is if Obama chose not to, to use it as a political weapon against the GOP. Johnson added that Cut, Cap and Balance is the only answer with the balanced budget amendment as the lynch pin. There is a great possibility that S&P and Moody’s will down grade the U.S. credit rating anyway… and preventing that is the only reason even to consider raising the debt ceiling!
**An added point: As I was watching Judge Andrew Napolitano on the Five he talked about the fact that Obama or any president does not have the power to cover financial debt, raise the debt ceiling or the power to cover related financial issues or debt by using an Executive Order. Obama quotes the 14th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution as his reference and justification for his threat to execute and sign an Executive Order (EO) to raise the debt ceiling if the Congress does not do what he wants. According to the Constitution under the wise concept of separation of powers, the House of Representatives holds the purse strings and the Congress must initiate and pass and all bills regarding funding and finances. The President’s only power is negotiation and to veto the bills sent to him. The provisions in the 14th Amendment were written to deal with unique issues caused by the Civil War and the execution of the Emancipation Proclamation that freed the slaves. The left keeps distorting them wrongly applying the provisions to allow them to do whatever they want… not what is legal, Constitutional or what the American People want!!

It looks like John Boehner is finally listening to the Tea Party/9.12 Project movement that put him in the office of the Speaker of the House!
In a stunning turn of events, the Ohio Republican has publicly called for "actual cuts and program reforms, not broad deficit or debt targets that punt the tough questions to the future."
Boehner has been under fire from Tea Party & 9.12 Project groups ever since he chose to compromise with the passage of multiple continuing resolutions, then a feeble compromise that cut an effective amount of LESS THAN A BILLION DOLLARS.
Has the Speaker of the House actually heard the grass roots activists who wish to restore America to greatness, or is this just more political rhetoric? Have the new GOP Constitutionalists made themselves heard, or is something else afoot?

Speaker John Boehner warned Monday that he won’t agree to raising the debt ceiling unless Democrats and the White House accept spending cuts that exceed the increase in the nation’s debt level.
“Without significant spending cuts and reforms to reduce our debt, there will be no debt limit increase. And the cuts should be greater than the accompanying increase in debt authority the president is given,” the Ohio Republican said in a speech at the Economic Club of New York.
“We should be talking about cuts of trillions, not just billions,” he said. “They should be actual cuts and program reforms, not broad deficit or debt targets that punt the tough questions to the future.”
Boehner’s demand for such large cuts marks a sharp escalation in his rhetorical war with Democrats in advance of talks to increase the $14.3 trillion debt ceiling. Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner predicts that the nation will default in early August unless Congress acts.
Boehner also reiterated his opposition to increasing taxes to address the nation’s debt and remained adamant that entitlements stay on the table.
“With the exception of tax hikes, which will destroy jobs, everything is on the table,” Boehner said. “That includes honest conversations about how best to preserve Medicare, because we all know, with millions of baby boomers beginning to retire, the status quo is unsustainable.”
Boehner’s speech could help blunt growing concerns among fiscal conservatives that he will cut a deal with the White House that does not include significant cuts.
He also hammered Democrats’ other economic policies, including the Dodd-Frank financial regulatory overhaul law, which he called “all wrong.”
“There was a financial meltdown in our country, and millions of Americans were hit hard. But Washington’s response was all wrong. We got a banking system that is less competitive, pitting the small community banks like the ones in my district against giant banks that the federal government deems ‘too big to fail,’” Boehner said.
“We got a consolidated banking system with a small number of large firms operating as public utilities,” he added. “We got a lot of new rules that make job creation and investment more difficult. And the government mortgage companies that triggered the whole meltdown went untouched.”
Judge Andrew Napolitano once again fills in for Glenn again, who took a surprise trip to Israel and should return this week. The President’s popularity has soared in the wake of the killing of Osama (or Usama) Bin Laden. Yet behind all of the celebrations, America’s economy is still sputtering. Unemployment has ticked up back north of 9%. The national debt is pushing past 14.3 trillion dollars and the Federal Reserve shows no sign of ending its century long war on the dollar. But that didn’t stop the President from taking a victory lap last week. Now, he plans to ask Congress to borrow another 2.7 trillion dollars.
Glenn decided late last week to make a surprise trip to Israel, and is off radio and TV today to visit the country. He plans to broadcast his radio show tomorrow.

Power Grabs by FIAT, Executive Orders, or Without Authority
There are 3 overt situations where the EPA, the FCC and Burdick are grabbing power that they are not authorized to do over matters where the Congress and or Courts have already decided that they they were not going to take up the matter, taking of the power in unconstitutional or that the agency or the person (office) involved do not have the power to rule over or enforce: the FCC Regulating the Internet, the EPA regulating Carbon Emissions and Burdick Reinstating the Death Panel Provision under his rule.

There are a list of issues that new tea party republicans along with the returning GOP and their new leadership will be taking up the debt, the debt ceiling, the repeal of ObamaCare, and hopefully the reversal of the FCC’s self given power to regulate the Internet. We must also encourage them to take another look at the disastrous Food Safety Bill that they just passed… just to start.
Today the FCC voted to regulate the internet, but that’s only part of the story. Behind the scenes, President Obama has been working with the international community, not Congress, to institute government control of the internet.
Under the banner of cyber security, Melissa Hathaway, Obama’s former White House official, urged that the power of three regulatory agencies (SEC, FCC and FTC) be harnessed to bring about a “comprehensive solution set.”
The plan to take control of the internet was devised through the Atlantic Council’sProgram on International Security. That’s right… the Obama administration has been working closely with other countries to develop strategies to usurp the U.S. Congress in order to execute plans which further his progressive agenda.
Melissa Hathaway forthrightly acknowledged that the results of the November mid-term elections created “greater Congressional constraints.” A PDF of her report is found HERE.
Unlike any President in the history of our nation, Obama brought charges of human rights abuses in the U.S. to the UN, he presided over the UN and his DOJ is actively suing one of our states (Arizona) for trying to protect American citizens. Obama has taken control of our healthcare, banks, car companies, energy, food supply, student loans and now the internet. Our national defense rests in the hands of Obama’s collaboration with Russia (New START Treaty) who is aligned with Iran, Venezuela, China and North Korea.
It’s time we ask ourselves who Obama works for – does he work for Americans who elected him to represent our best interest, or does he work for leaders of foreign countries?
The biggest problem with the Communist takeover happening in Venezuela is that they have petro-dollars (oil money) to offset the massive inefficiencies of Hugo Chavez' Communist Regime, thus making it APPEAR to be a successful Communist nation. Having built up its economy during decades of Capitalism, they have now seized total power, and have oil dollars upon which to fall back. Hugo Chavez now has the power granted him by the Venezuelan Socialist-dominated legislature to rule by decree.
Think of Chavez' new power as Executive Orders on steroids. He can do anything, and make it legal by the stroke of a pen. That was the path we were on in February of 2009, until the American people did what the Venezuelans failed to do: we fought back, and in January, we'll have the lower house of Congress back in our hands. But it's interesting to note that even with these new dictatorial powers, Hugo Chavez is behind Obama & George Soros in taking control of his nation's financial sector. The Obama Regime beat the Chavez Regime to the punch on that one.
Just imagine where we'd be if the Democrats had somehow won filibuster-proof majorities in both houses, because the 9.12 Project/Tea Party movement never happened? Obama would have beaten Chavez to in this area, as well. But now we can see our way clear to the Restoration of America (after continuing our fight for several more years, obviously!) at a bright point in our future. And Venezuela? I fear greatly for their future. Hugo Chavez' opposition has finally united in the face of this growing threat, but it may be too little, too late. Here's the story from Reuters:

CARACAS, Dec 17 (Reuters) - Venezuela's parliament gave President Hugo Chavez decree powers for 18 months on Friday, outraging opposition parties that accused him of turning South America's biggest oil producer into a dictatorship.
The move consolidated the firebrand socialist leader's hold on power after nearly 12 years in office, and raised the prospect of a fresh wave of nationalizations as the former paratrooper seeks to entrench his self-styled "revolution."
Chavez had asked for the fast-track powers for one year, saying he needed them to deal with a national emergency caused by floods that drove nearly 140,000 people from their homes But the Assembly, which is dominated by loyalists from his Socialist Party, decided to extend them for a year and a half.
That means the president can rule by decree until mid-2012, and can keep opposition parties out of the legislative process until his re-election campaign is well under way for Venezuela's next presidential vote in December of that year.
The president of parliament, Cilia Flores, said lawmakers must heed the appeals of families afflicted by the floods.
"It is raised to 18 months at the proposal of those immediately affected, the same people who are there relying on Comandante Chavez," she told the Assembly.
"So that they can have their streets, their highways, public services, electricity, everything to live in dignity, we are going to hear these proposals and concerns."
The vote was part of a legislative onslaught to push through bills before a new National Assembly is seated on Jan. 5. Earlier on Friday, parliament passed a law making it easier for the government to nationalize banks and trim their profits.
FOCUS ON 2012 The "Enabling Law," which means the president can issue decrees across a wide range of areas including housing, land, finances and security, has been denounced as autocratic by his political rivals as well as by the U.S. State Department.
A freshly united opposition coalition won about half the popular vote at a parliamentary election in September to take 40 percent of the seats in the next Assembly -- where they had hoped to put a check on the president's powers.
Chavez's latest move raised concern about whether he would accept defeat if the 2012 election does not go his way. Polls show his traditionally high ratings have slipped, with the nation split down the middle in September elections.
The president, who has used decree powers three times in the past, has said one of his first moves will be to increase the sales tax to raise funds for reconstruction after the floods. In the past he has used the fast-track powers to pass about 100 laws, including measures to nationalize part of the oil sector and increase the number of Supreme Court judges.
The new banking law passed earlier on Friday creates stringent operating rules that include forcing banks to give 5 percent of their profits every six months to community groups.
It also allows Chavez to order the takeover of institutions that he deems problematic, a move previously made by the banking watchdog. Chavez has increased the state's role in the sector this year, but a total takeover of banking is unlikely.
Chavez, who has inherited Fidel Castro's mantle as Latin America's leading U.S. critic, still has a strong power base in city slums and impoverished rural areas. (Castro has recently admitted that his experiment in Cuba that destroyed generations was a mistake.)
Although his foes' view him as an autocrat ushering in Cuban-style communism, supporters say he is redressing years of imbalance and has encouraged democracy by giving power and funds to grass-roots groups that decide on some public works.
The Obama/Soros/Progressive Globalist plan was to do exactly the same thing simultaneously here in the United States. It didn’t (hasn’t) happened because of the Tea Party Movement, people like Sean Hannity, Rush Limbaugh, Glenn Beck, Mark Stein, Laura Ingraham, Judge Andrew Napolitano, Sarah Palin, Mike Huckabee and a long list of other Libertarian, Conservative, Patriotic and Constitution loving bell-ringers on radio, TV, the Internet, on the ground and with the written word who have little by little educated and illuminated the public with news and information they would never have gotten from the mainstream media (MSM) or even in school.

Barack Obama has a "Christmas surprise" for the American people. It's based upon the FCC's self-imposed December 21 deadline to implement new Internet rules.
Via the FCC, Mr. Obama wants to take control of the Internet---YOUR Internet---your ability to contact your friends, your relatives, and your elected representatives in government. This "stealth" use of new rules and regulations will sneak up on us just before Christmas. Quite frankly, not too many people know about this; or really take the notion seriously, because, after all, we have the 1st Amendment to the U. S. Constitution to protect us. Right? Wrong!
The FCC is ready to add the Internet to its "portfolio" of regulated industries. The Obama Administration wants to take control of the Internet. BEFORE CHRISTMAS! (even though the regulations won't "officially" go into effect until after the holidays. FCC Chairman Julius Genachowski announced that he has circulated "draft rules" that he says will "preserve the freedom and openness of the Internet." No statement---I call it a bald face lie---reflects the vast gulf between the rhetoric and the reality of Obama Administration policy. Obama's FCC is ready to steal our Internet freedom by simply declaring it has the "right" to regulate it. Here's the underlying problem for Barack Obama. Internet journalists tend to report the news without coloring it with the brush of "political correctness." They challenge the lies that the Obama Administration puts out that the so-called "mainstream media" simply accept and repeat as the truth.
We must be prepared to do battle with the intrusive FCC federal regulations that will clamp down on our 1st Amendment rights via the Internet. To protect our free speech rights on the Internet, we must fax every single Member of Congress and let them know they must NOT agree to the upcoming December 21st regulations! Will you do that for yourself and for the rest of us... today---please? This is so important; let me repeat my request so you understand the extreme urgency. Because, historically, when government seizes liberty, it's gone forever.
According to the Washington Times: "With a straight face, Mr. Genachowski suggested that government red tape will increase the 'freedom' of online services that have flourished because bureaucratic busybodies have been blocked from tinkering with the Web. Ordinarily, it would be appropriate at this point to supply an example from the proposed regulations illustrating the problem. Mr. Genachowski's draft document has over 550 footnotes and is stamped 'non-public, for internal use only' to ensure nobody outside the agency sees it until the rules are approved in a scheduled December 21 vote. So much for 'openness.'
Mr. Obama will use the FCC plans to implement control of cyberspace by issuing regulations. He blatantly insists that he has the right to regulate the Internet through the FCC---which regulates the other electronic mediums: radio and television. What Mr. Obama really means is that as long as the American people have unfettered access to the Internet, he cannot continue to spread his propaganda and bald face lies without being challenged, and he will be a one-term visitor at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.
Make no mistake; Barack Hussein Obama is very determined to undermine free speech by seizing cyber-control Internet free speech; under the disguise of making sure our safety and security are of prime importance. The recent WikiLeaks fiasco has helped him to rationalize this tremendous increase of government control to the American public.
Freedom and openness should continue to be the governing principles of the Internet. That's why Mr. Genachowski's December 21 proposals should be STOPPED by Members of Congress. In fact, both the U. S. Senate and the House of Representatives should make it even clearer that the FCC should STOP trying to expand its REGULATORY EMPIRE and should STOP trying to control our freedom of speech over the internet!
In the administration's zeal to "protect the people," the social progressive zealots in the Obama federal bureaucracy are not averse to writing the rules and regulations like this. It makes a clear statement. It takes away our freedoms on the Internet; but it is all under the claim of "protection." That's why the proposed FCC Internet rules and regulations---THAT ARE ABOUT TO BE IMPLEMENTED without Congressional legislation being enacted---must be stopped by that Body whose legislative authority has been abridged.
That is why YOU must get involved this very moment!
Please. Do NOT sit idly by and calmly surrender your freedoms on the Internet. Please fax every single Member of Congress. (And don't forget to give a generous donation to USJF.) When it comes to the Internet, bipartisan majorities in Congress have insisted on maintaining a strict hands-off policy whenever the left has proposed legislation to impose censorship through regulation. A federal appeals court confirmed this in April, by striking down the FCC's last attempt to do it. In order for the FCC to take this control, it needs Congress to give it explicit statutory authority to do so. Since they have chosen not to, Mr. Obama intends to just do it himself. The Obama Administration is overstepping its Constitutional boundaries? These proposed regulations prove that!
December 21 is only days away.
That's why we must Fax every Member of Congress, RIGHT NOW, to stop this government intrusion into our private, on-line, communications. We have not witnessed this kind of government intrusion since FDR tried to regulate newspapers in 1933.
Freedom of the Press is guaranteed by the First Amendment. Federal judges have ruled specifically that the Internet has the exact same freedoms. But the Obama Administration is trying to control the Internet... and YOU!
On December 1, with an impending implementation on December 21st, Mr. Genachowski announced to the media that he had circulated his draft rules memo. He said it will "... preserve the freedom and openness of the Internet," adding that the federal government will increase the freedom of online services because, he noted, heavy use in some areas of the Internet slow the "web experience" for everyone sharing the same information superhighway lines.
Even though that may be partially true, the United States government should not dictate to us what we can and cannot do on the Internet. Period.
Will you assist us to make sure that our Internet remains OURS, not Barack Obama's? Please, give us your support, right now, by faxing every Member of Congress.
Although the federal judiciary has extended First Amendment protection to the Internet, Barack Obama believes that he has the executive authority, WITHOUT legislation enacted by Congress, to arbitrarily regulate who uses cyberspace and what access they may enjoy, based entirely on the content of the material that they wish to publish there. If this isn't a violation of our basic rights as Americans, I do not know what is!

Hmmm… Judge for yourself. I saw this interview and she was polite, said nothing about race, and just wanted the government to uphold the Constitution and American’s Right and Freedom to Speak and Assemble.
