Through all the talk about Anthony Weiner we have mostly listened to jokes about his private parts and his name. His wife was often mentioned as a victim to his online tomfoolery. Today I want to talk about his wife, Huma Abedin Weiner.
In 1996, while Bill Clinton was president, he and Hillary met Huma while on a trip to Saudi Arabia. It's unclear what transpired, but she ended up in Washington DC with close ties to the Clinton s. We now know she is Secretary State Hillary Clinton's deputy Chief of Staff. This is a very sensitive position so we would think Huma was well vetted.
Huma Abedin Weiner is a devout Muslim. Her brother, Hassan, works at the Oxford Center for Islamic Studies (OCIS) at Oxford University. He has close ties with the Muslim Brotherhood. The Egyptian Al-Azhar University, is well known for a curriculum that encourages extremism and terrorism, and is active in establishing links with OCIS..
Humab's mother is co-founder of the Dar El-Hekma women's college in Saudi Arabia, which has close ties to the Muslim Sisterhood, the female version of the Muslim Brotherhood. The Muslim Sisterhood is also known as International Women's Organization (IWO).
We watched in Egypt as the left sided with the Muslim Brotherhood to take over the country. We are watching the same thing in Libya, only this time we have sent American forces to help the very same people we are fighting in Afghanistan and Iraq.

BUDAPEST, Hungary (The Blaze/AP) — The Obama administration is reaching out to the Muslim Brotherhood in a “limited” effort to build ties and promote democratic principles ahead of Egypt’s upcoming parliamentary and presidential elections.
Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton says the U.S. isn’t adopting a new policy. She says the administration wants to engage all Egyptian groups as long as they espouse nonviolence.
“We believe, given the changing political landscape in Egypt, that it is in the interests of the United States to engage with all parties that are peaceful, and committed to non-violence, that intend to compete for the parliament and the presidency,” Clinton told reporters at a news conference.
“Now in any of those contacts, prior or future, we will continue to emphasize the importance of and support for democratic principles and especially a commitment to non-violence, respect for minority rights, and the full inclusion of women in any democracy.”
Clinton says the hardline group also must respect minority rights and the full inclusion of women in the political sphere.
The Brotherhood favors a regime guided by Islamic Sharia law and was outlawed under former strongman Hosni Mubarak. It also reportedly birthed the major terrorist group, Hamas.
Israel is wary of any engagement with the Muslim Brotherhood because of the hostility some of its members have expressed toward the Jewish state.
For conservatives, the mere mention of George Soros joining forces with the Muslim Brotherhood conjures images of an unholy alliance forged in the fiery pits of Mordor.
Yet according to several reports, including one from FrontPageMag on Monday, that alliance is in fact being forged. The reports connect George Soros to the Muslim Brotherhood through his various shadow organizations including the International Crisis Group and his new spokesmen, Marwan Muasher and Mohamed ElBaradei. Soros along with Muasher and ElBaradei have consistently been featured in media downplaying the threat of the Muslim Brotherhood — and even urged the Egyptian government to “normalize” relations with the militant group earlier in the year. Never failing to miss an opportunity to undermine the U.S. and Israel, Soros is working tirelessly to help the enemy of his enemies.
Consistently referring to Israel as the “stumbling block” to peace in the Middle East, Soros makes no bones about his hopes for the Brotherhood. He even heartily encouraged giving the Muslim Brotherhood a place at Egypt‘s table when the country’s streets erupted into flames of dissent earlier this year.

The numerous ties of Soros and his Shadow Party cohorts have been documented; they include the master puppeteer’s own Open Society Institute and various anti-Western Islamist groups in the revolutions. It has been confirmed, for instance, that the International Crisis Group (ICG), led in part by Soros, has long petitioned for the Egyptian government to “normalize” ties with the previously banned Brotherhood – for example, in a June 2008 report called “Egypt’s Muslim Brothers: Confrontation or Integration?” And this talking point is echoed by Brian Katulis, senior fellow at the Soros-funded Center for American Progress: “Any real democratic opening would lead to greater participation of groups like the Muslim Brotherhood in a future Egyptian government.”
To delve deeper Muasher, former deputy prime minster of Jordan, oversees research at the Soros-funded Carnegie Endowment for International Peace.
In a recent interview with prominent TV journalist Christiane Amanpour, who never misses an opportunity to promote repellent moral relativism about fundamentalist Islam, Middle East analyst Marwan Muasher declared, “The Muslim Brotherhood has been used for a long time as a scare tactic” (emphasis added). This eyebrow-raising dismissal of legitimate concerns about the world’s largest Islamist movement went unchallenged by Amanpour – no surprise there – although Muasher did weakly concede this: “that is not to say they don’t have designs.”
Considering these “designs,” the group’s swift, successful entrenchment around the globe, and its spawning of such alumni as current al-Qaeda chief Ayman al-Zawahiri, only the willfully naive or complicit could claim that the Brotherhood shouldn’t be taken seriously as a threat.
Whichever Muasher is guilty of, he feels perfectly comfortable inviting the Brotherhood into the political mix of the Arab world’s current turmoil. A recent report reveals that Muasher, a former Jordanian diplomat, has praised the revolutions rocking the region and has called for the inclusion of Islamist groups in any pluralistic, fledgling democracies that may emerge. The ostensible reasoning is that Muslim fundamentalists like the Brotherhood have a legitimate role to play and deserve to be allowed to compete on the supposedly level playing field of the marketplace of ideas. It might even temper their radicalism.
ElBaradei, on the other hand, sits on the board of Soros’ International Crisis Group and is reportedly seeking to run for president in Egypt.
(Not coincidentally, Mohamed ElBaradei sits on the board of Soros’ ICG, along with others who advocate dialogue with Hamas, the Muslim Brothers’ violent Palestinian branch. And as I have written elsewhere, “as the former head of the UN’s International Atomic Energy Agency… ElBaradei repeatedly stonewalled international efforts to put the brakes on Iran’s ambitions.” No friend of Israel or America, he.)
But by calling for the Muslim Brotherhood to be given a seat at the table and a hand in fashioning the future of the Arab world, George Soros may be biting off more than he can chew with this alliance of convenience
A Washington Post OpEd written by Soros in February perhaps revealed the first signs of Soros’ Muslim Bortherhood sympathies blooming. After unilaterally deciding America’s power and influence in the world had all but vanished, Soros trivialized American and Israeli fears over the civil unrest in Egypt, and dismissed the idea that dissidents who sought to topple the Mubarak regime would be be hostile to Israel. Soros even went so far as to say the dissidents were “not advancing a theocratic agenda at all.” Soros then praised the only organized political force in the region: you guessed it — the Muslim Brotherhood.
Regarding Egypt, Soros wrote:
President Obama personally and the United States as a country have much to gain by moving out in front and siding with the public demand for dignity and democracy. This would help rebuild America’s leadership and remove a lingering structural weakness in our alliances that comes from being associated with unpopular and repressive regimes. Most important, doing so would open the way to peaceful progress in the region. The Muslim Brotherhood’s cooperation with Mohamed ElBaradei, the Nobel laureate who is seeking to run for president, is a hopeful sign that it intends to play a constructive role in a democratic political system. As regards contagion, it is more likely to endanger the enemies of the United States – Syria and Iran – than our allies, provided that they are willing to move out ahead of the avalanche.
The main stumbling block is Israel. In reality, Israel has as much to gain from the spread of democracy in the Middle East as the United States has. But Israel is unlikely to recognize its own best interests because the change is too sudden and carries too many risks.
Let’s clarify:
The U.S. would repair its alleged “structural weakness” and “have much to gain” by aiding dissidents — dissidents America knew nothing about — topple a sitting regime with which it already had good relations.
Israel is a “stumbling block” because she fears the obvious risks associated with the establishment of an Israel-hostile Egyptian regime — yet fails to see how embracing such a regime would be in her “own best interests.”
The Muslim Brotherhood, with its history of violence, allegedly shows promising signs it intends to embrace democracy because it cooperated with one Mohamed ElBaradei, “Nobel laureate. If past Nobel prize winners are any indication, that’s not exactly encouraging.
Well that certainly is some Orwellian logic Soros has going for him.
WorldNetDaily also reveals additional details about ICG’s “Egypt’s Muslim Brothers Confrontation or Integration” report. ICG allegedy implored the Egyptian regime to allow Muslim Brotherhood to participate in political life and trivialized Egypt’s crackdown on the Brotherhood as “dangerously short-sighted.”
The ICG report also allegedly called on then President Hosni Mubarak to allow the “establishment of a political party with religious reference” i.e. Muslim Brotherhood.
While Soros heads the executive committee for ICG, some of its U.S. board members raise eyebrows as well. According to WorldNet:
U.S. board members include Zbigniew Brzezinski, who was national security adviser to Jimmy Carter; Samuel Berger, who was Bill Clinton’s national security adviser; and retired U.S. ambassador Thomas Pickering, who made headlines in 2009 after meeting with Hamas leaders and calling for the U.S. to open ties to the Islamist group.
Another ICG member is Robert Malley, a former adviser to Obama during the 2008 presidential campaign. He resigned after it was exposed he had communicated with Hamas. WND reported Malley long had petitioned for dialogue with Hamas.
Given his penchant for an “all-inclusive” one world government, one wonders what Soros sees in the militant Muslim Brotherhood. Perhaps he just sees the alliance as an opportunity to side against his enemies the U.S. and Israel, and subvert their efforts abroad.

Huma Abedin, Congressman Weiner’s Wife, and Hillary Clinton
The mother-in-law of disgraced Democratic Rep. Anthony Weiner is a member of the Muslim Brotherhood in Saudi Arabia, according to Arabic news sources cited by a former Palestinian Liberation Organization operative.
Walid Shoebat, an ex-Muslim Brotherhood activist in the Holy Land, translated sources that say Huma Abedin's mother, Saleha Mahmoud Abedin, a professor of sociology in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, belongs to the Sunni movement's women's division known as the Muslim Sisterhood.
One of the Sisterhoods aims, reportedly, is "to spread the Brotherhood's ideology by infiltrating universities, schools and homes."
The Muslim Brotherhood, launched in Egypt in the 1920s in response to the collapse of the Ottoman Turkish Empire, is the parent of most of the major violent, jihadist organizations in the world today, including al-Qaida and Hamas. Brotherhood leaders have established front groups in the U.S., including the Council on American-Islamic Relations, to help fulfill its long-term aim of establishing Islamic law in America, as documented in the book Get "Muslim Mafia: Inside the Secret Underworld That's Conspiring to Islamize America."
Weiner's wife, a practicing Muslim who is still well-connected to her family, serves as Secretary of State Hillary Clinton's deputy chief of staff. She is considered Clinton's "right-hand woman," having worked with the former first lady and senator since coming to the White House in 1996 as an intern. Weiner resigned from his Queens, N.Y., congressional seat Thursday after admitting he lied about sending lewd texts and photographs to women on the Internet.
Born in Kalamazoo, Mich., Huma Abedin moved to Jeddah at the age of 2, before returning to the U.S. 16 years later to attend college. Her father was an Islamic scholar of Indian descent while her mother is originally from Pakistan.
"It is sacrilege in Islam for Huma's mother to accept the reality that her daughter is married to a Jew, a marriage that is considered null and void by the highest authorities in Islam," Ahlert writes.
But he noted that Huma Abedin's position with Clinton in the State Department and her marriage to Weiner give her exposure to state secrets and access to the inner workings of Congress.
Clinton and Huma Abedin visited Saleha Abedin's school in Jeddah, Dar Al-Hekma College, in February 2010. An Arabic news report of the visit said Saleha Abedin "beamed in the presence of Secretary Clinton."
Clinton complimented the professor's daughter, explaining that "Huma holds an important and sensitive position in her office," a news report said.
One month prior to that trip, Clinton signed a document that lifted the U.S. entry ban on Tariq Ramadan, a grandson of Muslim Brotherhood founder Hasan al-Banna, who has ties to Islamic terrorist groups.
Ahlert observed that while the Muslim Brotherhood's women's group is being portrayed by Western media in a "benign fashion,"Al-Liwa Al-Arabi reports that the members of the Muslim Sisterhood are the "the wives of some of the highest-ranking leaders in the Muslim Brotherhood," who are being recruited to "smuggle secret documents for the members since women go undetected by security surveillance" and "to spread the Brotherhood's ideology by infiltrating universities, schools and homes."
The Sisterhood, the paper says, is commissioned to "fulfill the interests of the Brotherhood and also to benefit from international women's conferences and unify all efforts to benefit the Brotherhood globally."
The Sisterhood’s mission also includes organizing projects that will penetrate its prohibited ideology into the decision-making in the West in an indirect way under the guise of "general needs of women."
The objectives will be accomplished, Al-Liwa Al-Arabi reports, "through the university and the state capitals and institutions."
The newspaper lists Huma Abedin's mother among a dozen members of the Sisterhood from Saudi Arabia.
Brother Hassan
Shoebat also noted that it has been reported in Arab media that Huma Abedin's brother, Hassan, is a fellow at the Oxford Centre for Islamic Studies at Oxford University in England.
A number of Muslim Brotherhood members sit on the center's board, including Qatari cleric Sheik Yusuf al-Qaradawi, who has incited violence against Jews and Israel.
Ahlert said Huma's brother has been a key to furthering the Islamic agenda in the West.
Hassan Abedin has been seen meeting with Saudi Prince Alwaleed bin Talal on an agenda of "spreading Islam to the west" and is "well linked" to al-Qaida associate Omar Naseef.
A 2007 report, Ahlert said, identified Naseef as the likely force behind the Abedin family's departure from Michigan to Jeddah in about 1977.
Following his lewd photo scandal and pressure from fellow Democratic congressmen, Anthony Weiner announced his resignation from Congress, saying, “Today, I am announcing my resignation from Congress, so my colleagues can get back to work, my neighbors can choose a new representative and most importantly, that my wife and I can continue to deal with the damage I have caused.”

Al-Liwa Al-Arabi (translated here) claims to have leaked an extensive list, which was partially published by Al-Jazeera and several other major Arab newspapers. The detailed list included Huma’s mother, Saleha Abedin, as belonging to the Brotherhood’s secret women's division known as the Muslim Sisterhood or what is known as the International Women's Organization (IWO). Egyptian Al-Dostor revealed that the Sisternood included 63 International members that span 16 different countries; it's also confirmed by the Arab Centre for Studies, headed by researcher Abdul Rahim Ali.
Neither Huma nor any major western media outlet even mention what is common knowledge in the Arab world. Yet, confirmed by Arab sources – is that Huma Abedin has a brother named Hassan Abedin who works at Oxford University.
What is significant is that Oxford University, which has long been infiltrated by Islamists who founded the Oxford Centre for Islamic Studies (OCIS), has Huma's brother listed as a fellow and partners with a number of Muslim Brotherhood members on the Board, including al-Qaeda associate, Omar Naseef and the notorious Muslim Brotherhood leader Sheikh Youssef Qaradawi; both have been listed as OCIS Trustees. Naseef continues to serve as Board Chairman. In 2009, Qaradawi's role within Oxford and the Muslim Brotherhood was championed by the notorious Sheikh Rached Ghannouchi of Al-Nahda – a Muslim Brotherhood affiliate now active in Tunisia. OCIS has even presented an award for great scholarly achievement to Brotherhood member Shaykh Abd Al-Fattah Abu Gudda, whose personal history goes back to the Brotherhood's founder, Hasan al-Banna.
Even the Sunday Times acknowledges that the cradle of Islamic Jihad – Al-Azhar University – actively attempts to establish links with OCIS, where Huma's brother serves.
Was Huma unaware of all this as she accompanied Hillary Clinton to the Dar El-Hekma women's college in Saudi Arabia? Huma's mother is the co-founder and a Vice Dean at the college and an active missionay on issues regarding Muslim women. The “Women's Division” can be found at the Muslim Brotherhood's official website; an excerpt from its goal, translated from Arabic, states:
“The Womens Organization's goal in accordance with the Muslim Brotherhood rules, is to gain and acquire a unified global perception in every nation in the world regarding the position of women, and the necessity of advocacy work at all levels in accordance with the message of the Brotherhood as written in Women in Muslim Society, and the rearing of women throughout the different stages of life.”
True to this cause, another member listed as belonging to the Sisterhood mentioned by Al-Jazeera is Suheir Qureshi. She spoke alongside Huma's mother, Saleha Abedin as well as Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, who was brought in due to her connection with Huma. All three women spoke on issues of Women in Muslim Society. An Arabic news report of what happened during Hillary's visit stated:
“Suheir Qureshi spoke of how elated she was of Hillary's historic visit... Saleha Abedin spoke after Suheir Qureshi and beamed in the presence of Secretary Clinton. Saleha's speech preceded the former First Lady's. Then Hillary stood. She donned a broad smile as she approached the podium... Clinton started with a strong word and she spent a long time complimenting Dr. Saleha Abedin regarding her daughter. Hillary explained that Huma holds an important and sensitive position in her office. She ended her speech by speaking of Saleha Abedin's daughter (Huma), that a person must be happy if mentioned in a positive light but there is no happiness that equals the compliment given to children in front of a parent.”
It is sacrilege in Islam for Huma's mother to accept the reality that her daughter is married to a Jew. Yet, neither Saleha nor Huma's brother Hassan denounce her marriage to Weiner, especially when it was considered null and void by some of the highest authorities on Islamic Sharia rulings.
Huma's brother has been key in furthering the Islamic agenda and has worked with Saudi Prince Alwaleed bin Talal on a program of “spreading Islam to the west.” A detailed report from 2007 shows that Naseef was identified as the likely force behind the Abedin family's departure from Kalamazoo, MI to Jeddah, Saudi Arabia circa 1977 – the same year that the Muslim Sisterhood was established. In 2008, Dr. Mumen Muhammad wrote about why Huma vowed to stay with Hillary even if the latter were to lose the presidential nomination to Obama:
“Abedin assures in press releases of her continuance on the path with Hillary Clinton, even if Clinton failed as a candidate. The candidate's aids and other influential figures in the Democratic Party assure that they do not disregard Abedin running for election or taking her position in the political arena with the help in successive political administrations of the Clinton family itself.”
Indeed, the “Clinton family” played a key role in promoting the extremely powerful Turkish Imam and notorious Islamist conspirator Fethullah Gülen, as he fled Turkey for the United States after attempting to overthrow Turkey's secular government, a charge over which he was indicted in 2000. In 2008, the former president heaped praise on Gülen, giving him a clean slate. Gülen is given refuge and has even had his sermons aired on Turkish television, during which he explained to his followers how to best seize power from the Turkish government:
“You must move in the arteries of the system without anyone noticing your existence until you reach all the power centers... until the conditions are ripe... Until that time, any step taken would be too early – like breaking an egg without waiting the full forty days for it to hatch. It would be like killing the chick inside.”
Gülen expressed this sentiment in another sermon as well:
“The philosophy of our service is that we open a house somewhere and, with the patience of a spider, we lay our web to wait for people to get caught in the web; and we teach those who do.”
Serving with Huma's brother as an Oxford Centre Trustee is Turkey's president – Abdullah Gül. He considers himself a follower of Fethullah Gülen (Gülenist) according to Wikileaks. It was also Hillary Clinton who signed a document less than one month prior to her trip to Saudi Arabia with Huma that lifted the ban on Tariq Ramadan, allowing him entry into the United States. Ramadan is the grandson of the founder of the Muslim Brotherhood, Hasan al-Banna and has ties to Islamic terrorist groups.
Huma Abedin's charm, family connections and access to highly sensitive State secrets as admitted by Hillary herself, can have significant consequences. What absolutely must be known is if this circle of public servants was made aware of all these ties to potential enemies of the State.
