James Holmes father Robert Holmes, was said to have been scheduled to testify within the next few weeks before a US Senate panel on the massive banking crime called the LIBOR Scandal where UK banks fixed the London Interbank Borrowing Rate with the complicity of the Bank of England, the US Federal Reserve (which knew about this crime for 4 years and didn’t report it) and many other major Western banks.

Not known to the majority of those affected by this LIBOR rate scandal (which is everyone in the world) is that its historically low setting of interests rates since the beginning of the Global Financial Crisis of 2007-2012 has done more to destroy the life savings, stock investments and retirements of Americas middle class than any other single event in their entire history.

Even worse, according to this report, Holmes recently completed his work on what is called one of the most sophisticated computer algorithms ever developed that not only uncovered the true intent of this massive fraud, but is, also, able to trace the Trillions of Dollars “lost” to the exact bank accounts of the elite classes who have stolen it.

This Colorado massacre occurred within minutes of London’s Guardian News Service releasing report this past Saturday (21 July) titled “Wealth Doesn’t trickle Down – It Just Floods Offshore, Research Reveals” as Robert Holmes algorithms were said used to discover this massive fraud scheme.

Equally curious to note about this massacre is that the American intelligence website TheIntelHub.Com in their 23 July article titled “Hallmarks of a False Flag: Colorado University Held Identical Drill on Same Day as Aurora Theater Mass Shooting, Mind Control, and Multiple Suspects” states that just mere hours before this shocking crime was committed the Rocky Vista University College of Osteopathic Medicine was holding an identical drill that simulated a shooter in a movie theater.

“False flag” events such as the Colorado massacre are actively planned for by the US Army as noted in their training manual titled “Foreign Internal Defense Tactics Techniques and Procedures for Special Forces”.

Ben Swann from their WXIX-FOX19 station out of Cincinnati, Ohio, who asks:

“Why did Holmes go to the expense and trouble of rigging his apartment with an array of deadly explosives and then immediately tell police about the bombs when he was arrested? If Holmes wanted to kill as many people as possible, why warn the cops ahead of time?

Given the fact that Holmes was a graduate student in neuroscience, where did he obtain the skills to create a maze of bombs so complex that it took the FBI two days to disarm them? According to experts, the intricacy of the bombs was reminiscent of war zones – how could Holmes have set all this up without help from an explosives expert?

Despite police claiming “every single indicator” tells them the shooting was a lone wolf attack, numerous witnesses have described accomplices. Initial police reports that suggested the involvement of two or more shooters were quickly buried and the lone wolf narrative aggressively pushed.

As Swann points out, eyewitnesses interviewed after the shooting such as Corbin Dates state that Holmes received a phone call from someone while he was inside the theater and responded by moving to the emergency exit, suggesting the call was an accomplice coordinating the attack.

Dates also said he saw Holmes by the exit door “signaling somebody or looking for somebody to come his way.

Another eyewitness added, “From what we saw he wasn’t alone – he had someone with him. Because the second can of tear gas didn’t come from his side.”

The real James Holmes apparently has been abducted (compare photos) to force FICO crime scientist Robert Holmes to not testify in LIBOR scandal — his expertise as scientific director at FICO investigating fraud by statistical patterns and expert in credit scoring analysis -
The real James Holmes is on the right. This imposter is on assignment and somehow has been assured of protection and is a pure sociopath earning a buck. If the real James Holmes has been taken then his parents, of course, know it. James’ father is a mathematician/statistician who works for FICO which scores our credit using among other things the inter-bank interest rate set by LIBOR. FICO is the eyes, the intelligence of lenders in discriminating among potential borrowers as risks. James Holmes was the lead developer of FICO’s fraud manager system for financial institutions. The LIBOR scandal which involves the biggest and most powerful merchant banking houses in the City of London is in the midst of the biggest fraud scandal in history. Here is money and motive enough to make conceivable a black-operation on the scale of the James Holmes frame-up.

The bankers are major criminals and have been for sometime. They are criminals with trillions at their disposal. They control all strategic institutions of probably all major governments or are working towards that end. They need to know that no man in law enforcement or fraud detection can harm them, and so they have prepared means of intervening to prevent — by murder, blackmail, intimidation, bribery or psychological manipulation by methods developed in secret by the former Soviet Union, China, Israel and the officially denied equally unrestrained CIA and also mercenary intelligence and espionage services retained by high financial organized crime. What I am driving at is that operations like this may be on stand-by for any fraud investigator or honest politician or financial expert the banks legitimately employ. James Holmes may have been targeted early as the handle by which to control Robert Holmes if that is necessary.

Robert Holmes knows which of these to is his son and which is not.
Not only is the arm of the international banking crime syndicate (the “Jewish Mafia”) able to reach out and stop investigating statistician-mathematician -operations-analysis fraud investigators like Robert Holmes - they are also, very easily, able to keep police and defense attorneys from following the right lines of evidence. The resources to intimidate or bribe or otherwise control person after person to prevent an outcome or to force an outcome certainly exists, certainly is part of the defensive equipment of the most powerful criminal syndicate the world has seen.

The only defense the people have against the banking crime families is for the public to spread the word and all as one speak with a unified voice of public opinion. But of course the bankers can thwart that, as they have with 9-11, with the economic depression, with countless other crimes too big and too amazing even to believe when they are all listed on one page. (for example, weaponized weather modification and the ability to take control of planes. The fact that the prisoner in the Aurora shooting is not James Holmes. That a crime this elaborate and expensive could only be performed in the interests of the most powerful people on the planet — and they are the international bankers to whom this one country owe 14 trillion dollars — a good portion of which figure was determined by fraudulent manipulations of the LIBOR (inter-bank exchange rate) which has been set to favor the bankers rather than to reflect currently obtaining lending market conditions as it is represented as doing. This crime could spell the end of the international bankers — and that is why they went to such lengths to kidnap James Holmes and substitute this mass-murdering imposter in his place — and who we may shortly be hearing killed himself — I can’t see how they can let him go on public trial, or appear with his hair dyed back to its original color.

Holmes father:
Robert went on to earn a bachelor’s degree in mathematics at Stanford, a master’s in biostatistics at UCLA, and a doctorate in statistics at the University of California at Berkeley in 1981. His doctoral thesis was titled “Contributions to the Theory of Parametric Estimation in Randomly Censored Data.” He subsequently authored studies for the Navy and the Marine Corps on how to forecast personnel changes using something called “tree classifications,” the trees in question being statistical. Eventually, reports say, he signed on as a low-six-figure-a-year senior scientist with FICO, which produces management systems, fraud protection, and credit scores.

The Council on Foreign Relations (CFR), part of the Globalist Imperial Network, says you shouldn’t worry about the United Nations Small Arms Trade Treaty (ATT), which is currently being hammered out at the United Nations in New York.

Opposition to the treaty and defense of the Second Amendment “are not only inflammatory, they are completely unfounded,” the premier globalist organization asserts. Stewart M. Patrick, writing for “The Internationalist,” a blog on the CFR website, argues that the treaty does not endanger the Second Amendment and the sovereignty of the United States.

“The treaty is limited to the international trade of conventional arms, which pertains to the buying, selling, transshipping, transferring, or loaning across borders,” Patrick writes. Instead of endangering the Second Amendment and the right to own firearms, “the treaty is primarily aimed at countries in which rigorous controls and oversight are absent, in an attempt to harmonize and coordinate standards worldwide.”

The CFR steers our attention to a March, 2012, document produced by the United Nations General Assembly stating that the treaty will “Prevent, combat and eradicate the illicit transfer, illicit production and illicit brokering of conventional arms and their diversion into the illicit market, including for use in transnational organized crime and terrorism” and does not impose restrictions on firearm ownership in the United States.

In fact, the treaty would have a significant impact not only on the ownership of firearms, but also national sovereignty.

Earlier this month, Larry Bell of Forbes spelled out the dangers of the ATT, specifically: the globalist treaty will force strict licensing requirements for firearms ownership; create an international gun registry; and mandate that all “unauthorized” firearms (including semi-automatic “assault” rifles) be confiscated and destroyed.

“In short, overriding our national sovereignty, and in the process, providing license for the federal government to assert preemptive powers over state regulatory powers guaranteed by the Tenth Amendment in addition to our Second Amendment rights,” Bell warns.

Since its inception, the United Nations has worked with gun control groups and NGOs. For instance, the UN teamed up with the International Action Network on Small Arms (IANSA) in 1998. IANSA is as an umbrella network to which virtually all national and regional gun control groups belong. It is estimated to represent over 800 gun control organizations in 120 countries. IANSA opposes the use of firearms for self-defense and has worked to make the possession of handguns and semi-automatic weapons illegal. Not surprisingly, in addition to support from the United Nations, IANSA receives funding from the Ford Foundation (in other words, the CIA) and the Rockefeller Foundation.

In 2001, the UN held a conference on eliminating firearms in New York. “At an 11-day meeting beginning July 9 at U.N. headquarters in New York, every extremist anti-gun group in the world will show up at a summit on ‘small arms,’ where the delegates will attempt to create a global standard of gun control, banning civilian fire arms ownership worldwide,” NewsMax reported.

“The bottom line is that international gun banners want every gun – every single gun worldwide – to be under U.N. and government control,” warns LaPierre. “And that includes your rifle, your shotgun, your handgun, and even family heirlooms that have been handed down from generation to generation,” said the National Rifle Association’s Wayne LaPierre.

“The ultimate aim of the CFR is to create a one-world socialist system, and to make the U.S. an official part of it,” Dan Smoot, a former member of the FBI, explained shortly after the globalist organization was created in 1921. In order to do this and eliminate opposition, the CFR and the United Nations are working in tandem to establish a gun grabbing regime under the guise of stopping violence by terrorists and organized crime.

The CFR and others will naturally try to derail criticism of the ATT, but thanks to the alternative media the effort is meeting stiff resistance. Even factions of the corporate media are resisting the effort, as Fox News demonstrated on July 18 when it wrote:

The most likely regulations to be pushed by the UN treaty are those that have been the favorites of American gun control advocates for years — registration and licensing, micro-stamping ammunition, and restrictions on the private transfers of guns. Unfortunately, these measures have a long history of failure and primarily just inconvenience and disarm law-abiding gun owners.

This treaty sets the stage for the ultimate global elite goal of disarming Americans… the world. The global elites… American Progressives: like Hillary, Obama, and the members of the Congressional Progressive Caucus, the CFR, and their affiliate groups who control the United Nations are patient. This is another gun grab step by gradualism. It isn’t about the guns… It is about control… controlling you!

Every dictator’s goal is to disarm their people.  Think how different the landscape of Hitler’s Germany would have been if the people, the Jews, had not been disarmed.  And consider Switzerland, one of the most peaceful countries in the world… everyone is trained to be part of that national militia and everyone keeps their guns and assigned weapons at home.  The United States hunter and private citizen is the world’s largest army and disarming them has long been the goal of the global elite. The 2nd and 10th Amendments plus Posse Comitatus and the Dick Act of 1902 protect us as long as we understand our laws and history and take a stand!

The bigger worry however is not this bill or bills like it in the future, it is the bigger picture and goals of those behind this bill.

An Arapahoe County Court judge has granted a request to seal the case against James Holmes, the 24-year-old shooter who killed 12 and wounded 50 during a screening last night of "The Dark Knight Rises."

The motion, filed in Arapahoe County court, asks for the records in the case to be sealed, including search warrants, affidavits, orders and the "case file."

… disclosure of the court records would be "contrary to public interest" and "could jeopardize the ongoing investigation." – Really?

There is nothing in sealing this case that is a positive for the American people!

It appears the FBI attempted to remove from the Internet a warning from 2-months ago that theaters would be attacked

Holmes seems to be a Mystery man with no/little background.

Shooting seems too perfectly timed coinciding with the UN conference and vote on the United Nations Small Arms Treaty that Obama and Hillary intend to sign, at odds with the 2nd and 10th amendment rights in the U.S. Constitution.

How does an unemployed grad student afford $20K in weapons?  And how is a med/neuroscience student able to vex the police and bomb squad to this degree: Killer's Booby-Trapped Apartment Vexes Cops? Seems Holmes had recently dropped out of medical school and was going for his PhD in neuroscience. Who provides the money for neuroscience research – DARPA - Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency?  Perhaps that answers both those questions.

Seems shooter’s gun-range application drew red flag but nothing came of it.

WASHINGTON — President Barack Obama will fly to Colorado on Sunday to visit with the families of victims of the Aurora movie theater shooting, the White House announced, as he and Mitt Romney dialed back their campaigning in the shocked aftermath of the massacre.

White House communications director Dan Pfeiffer disclosed plans for the visit Saturday night. Aides said Obama's stop would also include meetings with state and local officials.

Friday's deadly rampage briefly silenced the acrimonious presidential contest, with both campaigns cutting short schedules and pulling advertising in Colorado out of respect for the dead and injured.

But for Obama, the pause was to be short-lived. After his Colorado visit, he was to fly Reno, Nev., for a Monday speech to the Veterans of Foreign Wars, followed by a series of campaign fundraisers in California, Oregon and Washington state. Romney is also expected to speak to the Veterans of Foreign Wars on Tuesday.

Obama said Saturday in his weekly radio and Internet address that he hopes everyone takes time this weekend "for prayer and reflection — for the victims of this terrible tragedy, for the people who knew them and loved them, for those who are still struggling to recover."

The president said Americans should also think about "all the victims of the less publicized acts of violence that plague our communities on a daily basis. Let us keep all these Americans in our prayers."

The White House said Obama received updates Saturday from John Brennan, his homeland security adviser, on the investigation into the shooting and the attempts by authorities to gain access to the suspect's apparently booby-trapped apartment.

Obama and Romney used campaign appearances on Friday to focus attention on the need for national unity in the aftermath of the shooting in Aurora, which killed 12 people and wounded dozens of others. Their campaign teams rescheduled Sunday show appearances by top aides and surrogates, essentially providing a break in what has been an increasingly testy campaign.

The rampage injected a new tone into the campaign after Obama and Romney had clashed repeatedly over the economy, Medicare and tax returns.

Obama was set to start his second day of events in Florida when the shooting occurred, prompting his team to address the violence at a previously scheduled rally in Fort Myers, Fla., and scrapping an event in suburban Orlando. Obama told supporters in Fort Myers that the shooting served as a "reminder that life is very fragile."

"Our time here is limited and it is precious. And what matters at the end of the day is not the small things, it's not the trivial things," he said. "Ultimately, it's how we choose to treat one another and how we love one another."

Romney echoed Obama's call for unity, saying at a previously scheduled event in Bow, N.H., that he joined with the president and first lady in offering condolences for those "whose lives were shattered in a few moments, a few moments of evil in Colorado."

"The answer is that we can come together. We will show our fellow citizens the good heart of the America we know and love," Romney said.

Other prominent lawmakers called the shooting a time for unity. House Speaker John Boehner, R-Ohio, said in the Republican address Saturday that lawmakers joined Obama in offering condolences and prayers to the loved ones of those who were killed and wounded.

"I know that when confronted with evil we cannot comprehend, Americans pull together and embrace our national family more tightly," Boehner said.

Yet, beyond the calls for a higher purpose, the shooting could raise the profile of gun rights in the presidential campaign, an issue which has played a minor role so far.

As a senator Obama voted to leave gun makers and dealers open to civil lawsuits, and as an Illinois state lawmaker he supported a ban on all forms of semiautomatic weapons and tighter state restrictions generally on firearms.

Following the killing of six people and wounding of then-Rep. Gabrielle Giffords in Tucson, Ariz., in 2011, Obama called for a series of steps to "keep those irresponsible, law-breaking few from getting their hands on a gun in the first place."

Among those steps was a better federal background check system. The administration said Friday that it has indeed improved the amount and quality of information poured into that system, allowing background checks to be more thorough.

But the administration has offered no detailed, public explanation of how it is following up on all of Obama's previous promises, and it had no comment about any need for new legislation.

"The president believes that we need to take common-sense measures that protect Second Amendment rights of Americans, while ensuring that those who should not have guns under existing law do not get them," said White House press secretary Jay Carney.

Romney backed some gun control measures when he was governor of Massachusetts. When he challenged Sen. Edward M. Kennedy in 1994 he declared, "I don't line up with the NRA." In April, Romney told the National Rifle Association he was a guardian of the Second Amendment.

Romney spokeswoman Andrea Saul said the Republican candidate believes that the "best way to prevent gun violence is to vigorously enforce our laws."

New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg, in a radio interview, urged the president and his challenger to address gun violence forcefully.

"You know, soothing words are nice," Bloomberg said, "but maybe it's time that the two people who want to be president of the United States stand up and tell us what they are going to do about it, because this is obviously a problem across the country."

In social media, some of us are discussing the possibility of a false flag operation, coinciding with the United Nations Small Arms Treaty’s scheduled signing by our current regime, on July 27. That U.S. sovereignty violating treaty will then be brought to the United States Senate, where it appears extraordinarily unlikely to be approved by a 2/3 majority. Something really strange would have to happen for enough senators to approve such a treaty of treason-by-increment.

Something strange happened last night and it is not wrong to be suspicious. It is not odd. It is not paranoid. It is not “tin foil hat.” Actually, in world history, the staging of violent events to gain popular favor is classic “old hat.” The timing of this shooting is especially concerning, considering evidence indicates that the Fast and Furious scandal, which implicates Barack Obama’s Department of Justice in consequential murders, is a current example of false flag ops, intended to foment sentiments for gun control among our Citizenry.

It is not strange to have the same concerns about Sgt. Bales in the Afghanistan shootings, Jerod Loughner in the Tuscon shooting, nor of the underwear bomber, nor of Sirhan Sirhan, nor Lee Harvey Oswald, etc. It is normal. It is proper. It is duly diligent. It is being responsible.

More facts surrounding this incident will come out, some may be covered up by God knows who, and more scrutiny must be paid, bringing sound epistemological and forensic discipline to bear.

Having left England and spilling their blood for individual freedoms our Founding Fathers knew the value of freedom and therefore gave us the Bill of Rights, a Republic and a Constitution that would protect the people, if ‘We the People’ were smart enough to remain engaged and educate future generations… but we haven’t done either.  They knew that Freedom of Speech and the Right to Bear Arms were essential for the average man (person) to remain free. Dictators know that as well, so they take away both as soon as they can! That is the plan of the Progressives controlling our country and elites controlling the world.

Alley Oop. Do you remember Alley Oop of funny paper and song fame? He carried a big stick and didn't walk softly. He tore the limbs off of trees.

Mr. Oop was capable of defending himself, his family, and his property. He had a big stick. Down through the ages, improvements were made in self-defense implements. Spears, bows and arrows, catapults, sling shots, etc. were invented and used. These same tools could be used for offensive purposes, also. And evil men, usually in the form of a government but sometimes other forms of gangs, used these tools of destruction to force others to comply with their demands. Demands they had no right to make. “Pay the taxes I deem necessary – or else!” Some complied, some didn't. Those who didn't were killed or banished from their land. Those who complied were treated with disrespect, and ever more demands were made until their lives were not their own. They were and are slaves. But they were and are called Freemen.

A government was instituted among men by men who understood the need for self-defense. The people had and still have the right to defend themselves from thugs of all kinds. In an amendment of the founding documents, spelled out very clearly is a guarantee that the government has no power to interfere with the natural right of every citizen to his or her own self-defense in whatever mode might be available. The latest technology is available to the private individual as well as to the police and military.

Since the establishment of that government, and even prior to that establishment, men and women have had weapons for self-defense. The same type of weapons has been used for destruction as well. A very few men and women go about killing each other for the flimsiest reasons. As a result of people killing each other, some nincompoops have coalesced into various groups with the intent to deprive those of us with a little common sense of our right to self-defense.

Amendment II of the Constitution of the United States of America prohibits the government of any power to interfere with our natural right to self-defense – the defense of ourselves, our families, and our property. Even Alley Oop, a Neanderthal man brought to the 20th century by a time machine, knew he had that right.

Currently, in our federal government, our hirelings and agents are debating whether or not they should give an International Agency the power to regulate our Natural right to own implements of self-defense. The people of this nation, in whose name the elected officials act, did not grant any power or right to their representatives, agents, or hirelings to even debate the action, let alone actually taking a vote on the subject. This is a sovereign nation. We rule ourselves. It is not up to a foreign entity such as the United Nations, or a treaty with other nations, to regulate the actions of the American People. We are a self-regulating group of adult men and women and are fully capable of making our own decisions about what we own or don't own. We do not need the input from an agent of a foreign nation such as Iran or China to tell us how to conduct our daily lives.

On the 27th of this month, the Senate will be voting on whether or not to give the power to an entity other than ourselves to regulate our daily lives and tell us what we can and cannot own. The members of the Senate do not have the right or the power to make such a commitment. We should tell them so.

Alley Oop had the common sense to obey the Natural Law of self-preservation. The fools that we have hired and sent to Washington, District of Criminals have not the common sense of a Neanderthal Man.

Hitler of Germany, Stalin of Russia, and Mao of China, among others, disarmed the citizens of their respective countries and then murdered them by the millions. 60,000,000 people were murdered in China alone, by one report. In light of these facts, one wonders why the Clintons, the Bushes, the Carters, and Our Fearless Golfer polluting the air in our house at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue in Washington, D. C. are so determined to disarm the good people of the United States of America.

We were not invaded by Japan during World War II because the Emperor was aware that the Americans were well-armed and we would defend out land.

I would seem that our Neanderthal man, Mr. Oop, had more common sense than those who are now promoting the disarmament of the American People. People such as Hillary Clinton, Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, Our Fearless Golfer, the Queen of England, the various Ayatollahs, Castro, Mao, Chavez, and any number of people that are our sworn enemies want us disarmed for a reason. What could that reason be, do you think?

Remember, when seconds count, the police are only minutes away. When seconds count, it is best to be prepared to take care of oneself.

Only would-be-dictators and tyrants are afraid of the citizenry. Thomas Jefferson rode his horse daily out in public without guards. George Washington had no troop of armed guards. Andrew Jackson, however, needed guards; for he had made a formidable enemy for himself – the bankers. They wanted him dead.

The government has overstepped just one time too many, maybe, and a backlash is about to be let loose. And that government wants to disarm us. Be careful.

Sheriffs that Support Gun Control… God Help Us!

Idaho--and a Bingham County election...

Some things speak for themselves. Thanks to J.H., who posted the following elsewhere, but gave me permission to post it on my blog:

"Just before the Idaho primaries this past Tuesday, there was a forum where people were asking questions of the candidates for sheriff of Bingham County. When incumbent sheriff Dave Johnson was asked what he would do if the Federal Government mandated to take all firearms away from private citizens, he responded that he would have to comply with the feds. When candidate Craig Rowland was asked the same question, he responded that he would deputize every citizen who owned a firearm. Rowland got an applause and was elected Bingham County Sheriff this last Tuesday. Congratulations to Craig Rowland!"
Yeah. Gotta love Idaho.... :) And the Second Amendment. And the Constitution.

If any other sheriffs out there hadn't thought of this, I think that it's brilliant. After all, if a firearm is a part of your emergency preparation, you may find yourself in trouble if someone takes it away. There are many emergency situations where a firearm may be needed. In any case, if you are personally against firearms, please work out a plan where you have what you need for food procurement, etc. in case of such emergencies.

And hopefully, no matter what one thinks personally about firearms, they will vote for people who will uphold the Constitution and the freedoms we hold dear--and the right to bear arms is one of them.

20 Republicans set to uphold controversial UN treaty (updated)

Upon the advice of Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, President Obama has confirmed his intention to sign two controversial U.N. treaties -- the Law of the Sea Treaty (LOST) and the so called "small arms" treaty.

Although many citizens and elected representatives are sounding the alarm about the small arms treaty, such as this entry Sunday at the Daily Paul, some political observers note that the treaty is unlikely to pass the Senate. But a very different scenario is developing for the Law of the Sea.

Twenty Republican senators are set to join with Democrats in upholding LOST.

In a breaking update, 2 of the 20 Republican senators have now indicated they will oppose the Law of the Sea Treaty. One political activist stated that it is important for citizens to call the offices of all 20 to make sure those Senators are on the record with their intent to vote against the treaty. McConnell and Toomey now state they will vote no.

The U.S. Constitution grants authority to presidents to enter into treaty agreements with other nations and entities. But due to the fact that a treaty, if approved, becomes the law of the land, the U.S. Senate must approve by an exact two-thirds majority rather than the simple supermajority of 60 votes. This means that 67 votes are needed in the Senate to approve a treaty.

Most political observers believe that all 53 Democrats in the Senate will vote to approve LOST. And if the 20 Republicans who have failed to indicate opposition to the treaty hold firm, the Senate will have more than the required 67 votes to pass.

The 20 Republicans who are apparently set to uphold the treaty are Enzi, McConnell, Hutchison, Toomey, Johanns, Ayotte, Graham, McCain, Lugar, Kirk, Snowe, Collins, Murkowski, Isakson, Grassley, Portman, Corker, Cochran, Brown, and Alexander.

In 1983 President Ronald Reagan rejected LOST outright due to encroachments on U.S. sovereignty. Thus, the question arises as to why these 20 Republicans would be indicating support for a treaty that Reagan saw as an international attempt to usurp American sovereignty and thus supersede the U.S. Constitution.

The small arms treaty, on the other hand, is facing a much more difficult task in gaining the approval of the Senate. Although it is possible to muster 67 votes to approve, too many Democrats are facing reelection in states where gun rights are important. Democrats now have a 53 seat majority. Even if all of the Democrats voted in favor, 14 Republicans would have to join them in order for the measure to pass.

In an election year during a period of time in U.S. history when citizens have indicated in various ways that they oppose any more gun control in any form, it is difficult to imagine 14 Republicans voting in favor of such a treaty.

But as indicated by Forbes Magazine such assumptions are premature. Some senators are always loathe to oppose any treaty signed by a president for the fear of negatively impacting U.S. prestige on the international stage.

Thus, conservatives have sounded the alarm about the treaty to make sure citizens pressure their senators to vote no.

A look at some of the provisions of the treaty will reveal why many conservatives are alarmed. By international law all citizens in the United States would find it more difficult to purchase firearms due to tough registration and licensing requirements. The sale and private ownership of all semi-automatic firearms would be banned. And an international registry of gun owners would be created, which many gun rights enthusiasts view as a precursor to a worldwide ban on gun ownership.

Using the United Nations to enact strict gun control measures on Americans could be what Obama meant when he stated months ago that his administration is working on gun control "under the radar."

Obama's October Surprise: Will He Use the Military To Sway the Electorate?

American Thinker:

President Obama loves distractions. From the phony War on Women to gay marriage to attacks on Romney's Bain career, Obama has engaged in a "look over there" campaign to take the focus off of his dreadful record on the economy. But these manufactured issues seem minor relative to chronic joblessness and serial incompetence, and most have a short shelf life, even in the hands of the sympathetic MSM.

If his poll numbers continue to be tepid into October, Obama will need a big distraction to take him through Election Day -- something that will have strong appeal beyond his swooning acolytes.

Military action against Iran would fill the bill. I'm not suggesting Obama will make the "gutsy call" to take out Tehran's nuclear facilities; anything that would overtly help Israel is probably off the table. Besides, I think he'd want to try a much softer action, one from which he could extricate himself easily when his purposes had been served.

One possibility would be to gin up a kerfuffle over, say, "threatening" actions by the Iranian navy in the Persian Gulf, and mobilize our ships in the area to "protect the world's oil supply." Iran would bluster and threaten, but do little else, saving its apocalyptic chips for a bigger, nuclear play. Meanwhile, back at home, Obama would be portrayed as courageous and resolute, and his surrogates would remind voters that it's not prudent to change leaders in mid-crisis. Romney, as the candidate of the loyal opposition, will have to be at least tacitly supportive. And quiet.

After a few weeks, and post-11/6, Obama can declare the crisis to have eased, and unilaterally withdraw most of the ships. Then, Iran would bluster some more, claiming that America blinked first, and both sides would claim victory.

In the spirit of Obama's philosophy of never letting a crisis go to waste, he will have manufactured a crisis, benefited from it, and then defused it. Indeed, this scenario is totally in line with the down-and-dirty politics Obama and his crew have practiced for years.

Romney needs to be ready in October with some sort of strategy to counter such a Machiavellian ploy. I'm just stumped as to what that could be.

CFR & U.S. Army Chief of Staff: Use Army for Domestic Enforcement

The Council on Foreign Relations (CFR) proposes that the U.S. Army be used to plan, command, and carry out (with the help of civilian law enforcement) domestic police missions. So says a story appearing in the May/June issue of the influential organization’s official journal, Foreign Affairs. The article lacks a single reference to the Posse Comitatus Act, which prohibits such actions.

In an article penned by Chief of Staff of the U.S. Army, General Raymond T. Odierno, the CFR would see the Army used to address “challenges in the United States itself” in order to keep the homeland safe from domestic disasters, including terrorist attacks. Odierno writes:

Where appropriate we will also dedicate active-duty forces, especially those with niche skills and equipment, to provide civilian officials with a robust set of reliable and rapid response options.

That’s right. Should the sheriff suspect that a particular citizen in his county poses a threat to security and feels he doesn’t have the proper “skills and equipment” to deal with the situation, he can just call out the U.S. Army and bring a “rapid response” force that is robust enough to eliminate the problem.

These are not the musings of an unknown academic written in an obscure journal of little importance. These are the black-and-white plans for “building a flexible force” as laid out by the man in charge and published for all the world to read by the people who may have put him there.

In order to justify this new (and illegal) mission for the Army, General Odierno points to three “major changes” that have precipitated the re-tasking of the troops: First, “declining budgets due to the country’s worsened fiscal situation; second, “a shift in emphasis to the Asia-Pacific region; and third, a “broadening of focus from counterinsurgency, counterterrorism, and training of partners to shaping the strategic environment, preventing the outbreak of dangerous regional conflicts, and improving the army’s readiness to respond in force to a range of complex contingencies worldwide.”

There are so many things wrong with every one of these points that each deserves its own article focused solely on its deconstruction. Unfortunately, there is only so much space and each of these considerations has one critical flaw in common: no constitutional authority for any of it.

Start with the woeful economic state of American affairs. Odierno lists this first among his unholy trinity of reasons the army must “transition” from its traditional role to one with a wider domestic and international scope.

Perhaps it has escaped General Odierno’s attention, but the decline of America’s economic fortunes may be in some significant part tied to the illegal wars in Iraq and Afghanistan that siphon about $13 billion per month from the U.S. Treasury. Since the attacks of September 11, 2001, estimates are that Congress has approved a total of $1.283 trillion in military operations, base security, reconstruction, foreign aid, embassy costs, and veterans’ health care spread over three operations: Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF) Afghanistan and other counter terror operations; Operation Noble Eagle (ONE), providing enhanced security at military bases; and Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF).

There is a certain macabre irony to the claim by a military leader that his troops are forced to adapt to stringent budget considerations partially brought about by the use of his troops as the tip of America’s sword of empire.

General Odierno’s third “major change” is the need to use the Army to solve complex international conflicts. Again, these conflicts and the solutions to them are made more complex by the fact that there is not a single syllable in the Constitution that grants the President or Congress the authority to deploy American armed forces to work out the world’s difficult dilemmas.

On this point, regarding the rules to govern the creation and governing of a federal army, the Constitution says very little. In Article I, Section 8, Congress is authorized to “raise and support Armies” and to “make rules for the government and regulation of the land and naval forces.” That’s it. That paucity of information has been magnified by the Council on Foreign Relations and their members in positions of power to include the use of the Army in ways and means that would seem unimaginable even to the most martial of our Founding Fathers.

One of the unconstitutional missions advocated by Odierno and the CFR is the use of the U.S. Army as “a critical guarantor of stability in the Asia-Pacific region.” This is one of the many new “assigned missions” promoted by Odierno in his Foreign Affairs article.

This echoes the pronouncement by his Commander-in-Chief made in Australia last November:

This is the future we seek for the Asia-Pacific — security, prosperity and dignity for all. That’s what we stand for. That’s who we are. That’s the future we will pursue in partnership with allies and friends and with every element of American power.

That is to say, General Odierno and President Obama believe that deterring aggression against our allies in Asia and the Pacific trumps any constitutional stricture on the appropriate use of the Army. There is nothing it seems that will stand in the way of our Army being placed at the disposal of foreign princes and presidents, provided they appreciate their resulting status as satraps of the American Emperor.

Not to worry; other provinces of the emerging American empire are accounted for in the Odierno/CFR plan.

“The posture of the U.S. military in the Middle East is critical to maintaining regional stability there,” writes Odierno, again without any noticeable sense of irony.

Is the general privy to some reports of stability in the Middle East kept secret from the rest of us? There is no end to the media’s reminders of the instability in the Middle East. In fact, it is this very unsettled foundation upon which the need for ongoing American military presence there is built.

In other words, the Middle East is stable because of the Army, the Middle East will remain stable only so long as the Army remains on permanent patrol, and if we were to completely abandon our posts, the region would devolve into outright — instability. Thus is the quality of the reasoning demonstrated by those with command and control of the armed forces of the United States.

One of the timeliest tenets of the Odierno/CFR proposal is the integration of “cyberspace capabilities into our tactical and operational units.” According to an article published last Friday in the New York Times:

From his first months in office, President Obama secretly ordered increasingly sophisticated attacks on the computer systems that run Iran’s main nuclear enrichment facilities, significantly expanding America’s first sustained use of cyber weapons, according to participants in the program.

For the CFR it seems the message from the Obama administration is ask and ye shall receive.

Lest there remain any doubt as to America’s resolve, Odierno wants our nation’s enemies (foreign and domestic) to understand that we are not afraid to “compel capitulation.” Should those “potential adversaries” be American, moreover, Odierno promises that the Army will “be ready to decisively achieve American ends, whatever they may be.”

Finally, we will, Odierno declares, demonstrate “our country’s commitment to global security.”

Sadly, Americans know this too well, as there are rows and rows of white headstones and flag-draped coffins already demonstrating the seriousness of that commitment.

The report from KNX-1070 a CBS affiliate in Los Angeles by Charles Feldman (Click here for full story and audio report) has one extract which is particularly disturbing:

Under U.S. Air Force rules, drones are not allowed to conduct “non-consensual surveillance” on U.S. citizens or property, though there are some apparent exceptions.

What has critics alarmed is that data collected by drones accidentally, under the guidelines, can be kept by the military up to three months before being purged and can also be turned over to “another Department of Defense or government agency to whose function it pertains.”

The Air Force guidelines permit using drones domestically to assist law enforcement in “investigating or preventing clandestine intelligence activities by foreign powers, international narcotics activities , or international terrorist activities.” More vague is language that also allows military cooperation with local law enforcement for the purposes of “preventing, detecting, or investigating other violations of law.”

The bottom line is that the government and law enforcement at the local level has a complete disregard for the U.S. Constitution and the Fourth Amendment protections each citizen is entitled to. This is verified by a report in Wired Magazine last week on May 31st:

Excuse me? Now those producing intelligence reports, be it viable, false, or real now feel they can not be “touched” by the Constitution nor the rule of law? This excerpt says it all:

Despite that, the government appealed, hoping to re-establish that citizens spied on by the government in the name of national security have no recourse in the courts, even if the government flagrantly violates the laws and the Constitution.
