Did Obama Give Anti-Free Market Speech at Osawatomie for Communist Connection?

The term "righteous wind" used in Obama’s speech just isn't heard every day, but a search found it in this quote from Chairman Mao:

“The ill wind of opportunism is falling, the righteous wind of socialism is on the rise.”   Coincidence?

We’re told that Barack Obama chose the obscure locale of Osawatomie, Kansas, for his recent domestic policy speech because it was the site of a seminal Teddy Roosevelt speech 101 years ago. This may very well be true. Through the distinctively named city of 4,500, Obama could make a symbolic connection with the man who once offered Americans a Hamiltonian conception of state power dubbed the “New Nationalism.” Yet, unbeknownst to virtually everyone, Obama is connected to “Osawatomie” through another man.

It’s a connection that’s odd and alarming — and at least a bit spooky.

I didn’t know about this connection when I wrote my recent article about the President’s communist ties. But just to provide some background, I pointed out how Obama claimed in Osawatomie that our relatively free market system not only “doesn’t work,” “it has never worked.” Furthermore, I mentioned the fact that the President has appointed avowed communists to his administration, that he was mentored by communist Frank Marshall Davis, that a contemporary of his at Occidental College said that Obama was a flat-out “Marxist-Leninist” during his time there, and that he has no known history of renouncing these views. More to the point here, however, I mentioned well-known Obama closet skeleton and self-proclaimed communist Bill Ayers, who, as you probably know, was a Weather Underground terrorist in the 1970s. Now, to get exactly to the point, I’d like you to take a gander at the following image and see what jumps out at you.

This was the official newsletter of the terroristic Weather Underground Organization; this particular issue sports a picture of Vietnamese Marxist-Leninist leader Ho Chi Minh on the cover. And, as you can see, the name of this communist publication is “Osawatomie.”

Just like the place where Obama decided to give a speech in which he cast doubt upon the merits of economic freedom.

Now, I’m not one to jump to conclusions. To paraphrase Confucius, “Wisdom is, when you know something, knowing that you know it; and when you do not know something, knowing that you do not know it.” It’s certainly possible that Obama is completely unaware of the Weathermen terrorist Osawatomie newsletter; this is, after all, the man who indicated that the U.S. had 58 states and didn’t even correct himself. And even if he does or did know about it, it is entirely possible that his choice of little Osawatomie could have been motivated by a desire to invoke Rough Rider Roosevelt and not recreant Reds. Yes… could have been.

But given Obama’s history, another possibility suggests itself to the open-minded.

Was there an extra layer of symbolism in his choice of speech venue, one of which only the “initiated” and those shouting in the wilderness would be aware?

Was the President sending a message to his long-time socialist allies?

“I’m still with you,” perhaps?

Is it akin to an inside joke?

Are the initiated laughing behind the backs of the gun-and-religion-clinging majority and everyone else who doesn’t “get it”?

Of course, some left-wingers will criticize anyone who raises such a possibility, just as they scored me for penning the article I linked to earlier. And this is one reason why prominent figures, be they media types or politicians, won’t dare mention that the emperor has red clothes. I mean, we just never could elect someone like that in America, could we?

Nah, it could never happen here.

And to suggest otherwise is to descend into paranoia at best or the politics of personal destruction at worst. Except, to quote liberal icon Daniel Patrick Moynihan, “You’re entitled to your own opinions, but you’re not entitled to your own facts.” And it is a fact that the President of these United States has a history of making bedfellows of communists, most recently those he appointed to his administration.

If it matters that Newt Gingrich was unfaithful to his wives many years ago, it matters infinitely more that Barack Obama has been unfaithful to freedom and the American spirit by continuing, to this very day, his affair with a tyrannical, malevolent force that leaves nothing but the ruin of man in its wake.

As you can see, while it does not say so specifically, this former KGB agent is discussing the application of Psychological Operations, aka  The "engineering of public perception" on a very sophisticated level and going beyond the MSM.

This has been around a while but it has never been more relevant. Keep in mind that the Communists share the same goals as the NWO. They are evil bedfellows that want to take down and control America.

  • This is what Progressives do. Use lies to force divisions in people in any way they can be divided. Then they come in and control your life for you.

Look for the youtube video: 'history of political correctness' and you'll see exactly what Van Jones is doing.

  • Wow. This is exactly what dictators like Joseph Stalin, Mao Tse-tung, Fidel Castro, (dare i say it?) Adolf Hitler, and so many others like them throughout history have done with the assistance of their -henchman-. Pry into the minds of young idealistic people and plant the seeds of dissent. They're easily swayed and easily fooled. They have no life experience to speak of as yet. Get them to rise up and smash down the values, morals, and scruples of the 'old & feeble'. Van Jones is a crazy man.

Leftwingers Outraged By Being Associated With Leftwingers

Nazis (and by implication all “right- wingers,” past and present) were inherently wicked. Their agenda was evil from A to Z, their methods along with their goals.

Communists (and by implication left-wingers) at least mean well. Oh, they might get a tad overzealous at times (killing more people than the Nazis and the Bubonic Plague combined, as documented in the The Black Book of Communism, for instance) but at least their hearts were in the right place. Even Barry Goldwater might get it. “Extremism in the defense of socialism is no vice!”

In a one hour special titled “Revolutionary Holocaust; Live Free or Die” run on January 22nd Glenn Beck mounted a full-frontal attack against the above notion—and left it a smoking cinder. First off, by sourcing Jonah Goldberg’s Liberal Fascism, Beck swept aside a premise that often handicaps conservatives from the get-go: the premise that Nazis belong on the right. Bombarded by relentless documentation to the contrary, this liberal bromide quickly blew up, and the program proceeded to report on the notoriously under-reported Communist holocaust.

As a participant in the program, I’ll go on the record and report that the care given by the producers to proper documentation for all Communist crimes and Communist quotes amounted to a fetish. This care, of course, accounts for the program’s devastating effectiveness—and thus the anguished reaction by liberals.

“The Liberal cannot strike wholeheartedly at the communist for fear of wounding himself in the process," wrote James Burnham in his classic Suicide of the West. This little gem did much to explain the theme in the opening lines of this article. But so vividly did Revolutionary Holocaust document Communist butcheries—from Stalin’s to Mao’s to Fidel Castro and Che Guevara’s-- that now some liberals are trying to weasel away from their years of alibis and rationalizations for the mass-murder.

The Glenn Beck special is now catching heat from “mainstream” liberal sources who claim no “mainstream” media or academic sources in fact herald the Communist icons as claimed on the special. To this end an article in Politico quotes Clemson professor and Harvard PHD, Steven Marks: "No one in their right mind is going to defend Stalin or Mao or Che Guevara,"

Oh?

Exhibit A: Time Magazine honors Che Guevara among "The 100 Most Important People of the Century." Not satisfied with such a paltry accolade they list him in the "Heroes and Icons" section, alongside Anne Frank, Andrei Sakharov, Rosa Parks and Mother Theresa.

Exhibit B: “Innocent people were not executed in significant numbers, (by Che and Castro.) Che presented a Christlike image, with his mortuary gaze it is as if Guevara looks upon his killers and forgives them." (Jorge Castaneda. Global Distinguished Professor of Politics and Latin American Studies. Visiting professor at Princeton and Berkeley, columnist for The Los Angeles Times, and Newsweek.)

Exhibit C: the cover of this very month’s GQ magazine (not exactly a “fringe” publication) features Che Guevara iconography on a smiling Johnny Depp.

Exhibit D: During last year’s presidential campaign, Obama campaign offices prominently displayed Che Guevara posters.
(Note: Che Guevara’s butcheries and Stalinist schemes were all orders from above, namely from his Stalinist boss, Fidel Castro, who appointed Guevara as his regime’s chief hangman.)

Exhibit E: “Fidel Castro is very shy and sensitive, a man I regard as a friend." Democratic Senator and Presidential Candidate, George Mc Govern:

* “Viva Fidel! Viva Che!” bellowed while arm in arm with Fidel Castro himself. (Democratic Presidential candidate, Jesse Jackson.)

* “Fidel Castro first and foremost is and always has been a committed egalitarian. He wanted a system that provided the basic needs to all -- enough to eat, health care, adequate housing and education. Cuba has superb systems of health care and universal education” (Democratic President James Earl Carter)

* “Fidel Castro is Cuba’s Elvis!” (former ABC anchorman Dan Rather)

* “Fidel Castro is an absolutely fascinating figure!” (NBC’s Andrea Mitchell)

* “Fidel Castro is one helluva guy!” (Ted Turner)

* “Fidel Castro has done good things for Cuba.” (Colin Powell)

Time and space restraints do not allow a listing of accolades to Castro/Stalinism from Hollywood folks.

The Toast of Manhattan!" crowed Time magazine about Fidel Castro's reception by Manhattan's Beautiful People on his visit to address the U.N. General assembly in 1996, upon the U.N.'s 50th anniversary celebrations.

"The Hottest Ticket in Manhattan!" read a Newsweek story that week, referring to the social swirl that engulfed Castro. After Fidel's whooping, hollering, foot-stomping ovation in the General Assembly, he was fĂȘted by New York's best and brightest, hobnobbing with dozens of Manhattan's glitterati, pundits and power brokers.

First, there was dinner at the Council on Foreign Relations, (CFR). After holding court there for a rapt David Rockefeller, along with Robert McNamara, Dwayne Andreas and Random House's Harold Evans, Castro flashed over to Mort Zuckerman's Fifth Avenue pad, where a throng of Beltway glitterati, including a breathless Mike Wallace, Peter Jennings, Tina Brown, Bernard Shaw and Barbara Walters, all jostled for a brief tryst, cooing and gurgling to Castro's every comment.

All clamored for autographs and photo ops. Diane Sawyer was so overcome in the mass killer's presence that she rushed up, broke into that toothy smile of hers, wrapped her arms around Castro and smooched him warmly on the cheek.

"You people are the cream of the crop!" beamed the mass-murderer to the smiling throng that surrounded him.

"Hear, hear!" chirped the delighted guests while tinkling their wine glasses in appreciation and glee.

But the mass-murderer had barely scratched the surface of his fan club. According to the U.S. Cuba Trade and Economic Council, on that visit Castro received 250 dinner invitations from Manhattan celebrities and power brokers.

Full Documentary of 20th Century Dictators – History We Cannot Forget And Connections We Need to Make!

Revolutionary Holocaust premiered today Friday, January 22 at 5p ET on the Fox News Channel... If you missed it or want to see it again, below is the full documentary and related posts and links. Please take the time to watch the videos and to read and follow the posts and links.

Revolutionary Holocaust (taken from a Karl Marx) quote takes us back in time to examine the roots of socialism and communism and the evil that followed. We all know about the horrors of the holocaust where the pure evil Hitler inspired claimed the lives of millions of innocent people. But most do not know about the millions upon millions of lives lost in a different genocide of the Ukrainian people under the Stalin regime. This special also takes a look behind the iconic fashion symbol of Che Guevara showing that the myth doesn't tell the story of the man who was a blood thirsty killer. We meet a family who saw first hand what a monster the man was. They know the cost of communism and you will too when you hear their story, and who can forget about Mao Zedong? A leader responsible for 70-million deaths during his reign. All communist. All killers. We will show you things you've never seen but need to.

More info on this movie, its contributors and background.

In order to prepare yourself for this movie, and to have a better understanding of the history and context behind it, Glenn Beck has provided a series of articles from contributors. Please read these and discuss them with your family before viewing the movie, especially if you are going to watch this with children.
NOTE: Glenn has said that the movie, while shocking, is appropriate for teens, but would recommend that a parent view it alone before viewing with younger children.

Background Piece on Documentary: The Revolutionary Holocaust: Live Free… Or Die

Prep Article One: Exposing the Real Che Guevara
by Humberto Fontova
Today the world's largest image of the man so many hipsters sport on their
shirts adorns Cuba's headquarters and torture chambers for it's KGB-trained secret police. For those familiar with Che Guevara's history, nothing could be more fitting.
Alas, such familiarity seems rare. The most popular version of the Che T-shirt and poster, for instance, sports the slogan "Fight Oppression" under his famous face. This is the face of a man who co-founded a regime that jailed more of its subjects than did Stalin's and murdered more its subjects in its first three years in power than did Hitler's in its first six. In 1959, with the help of Soviet GRU agents, the man celebrated on that T-shirt helped found, train and indoctrinate Cuba's secret police. "Always interrogate your prisoners at night," Che ordered his goons. "A man's resistance is always lower at night."

Prep Article Two: The Famine of 1932-1933, A Genocide by Other Means - by Taras Hunczak
The Western World - having experienced the Renaissance of humanism, which freed the individual from the Medieval spirit of conformity and, building upon that experience, proceeded to establish the principle of the natural rights of man in the course of the 17th and 18th centuries, ending the quest for individual and national freedom in the era of Romanticism of the 19th century - entered the 20th century with great expectations. Unfortunately, the 20th century witnessed great disappointments, tragedies and bloodshed the likes of which the world had never seen before.
There were two world wars, which cost humanity millions of lives and wasted great resources. Even worse, totalitarian regimes were created that destroyed millions of innocent lives. It is they - the Nazis and the Communists - who pursued the policy of ruthless oppression, which was accompanied by a policy of genocide. What a sad and tragic picture for humanity the 20th century represents when we consider the mass killings of the Armenian people or the long lines of Jews and Gypsies escorted by the Nazis to their execution.

Prep Article Three: The Soviet Story
by Edvins Snore
I decided I decided to make the documentary film “The Soviet Story” to show the world the history of those nations, millions of people, who lived behind the Iron Curtain, under Soviet occupation.
When I made "The Soviet Story", I knew Russia would not like it. But I did not expect that they would hang and burn my effigy in the streets of Moscow after the film was released. The crowd was shouting: "We will not let rewrite our history!"
Indeed, the film shows the Soviet history in a different light, than the current Russian text books, which call Stalin a successful manager, ignoring the fact that under Stalin’s "successful management" 7 million Ukrainians were intentionally starved to death. Whole nations and ethnic groups were wiped off the map.

Prep Article Four: Equal Evil, Unequal Outrage
by Jonah Goldberg
Communism is, to be fair, a dirty word. But not that dirty. You can wear a Mao hat to your local organic coffee shop. You can hang a campy poster of Lenin in your dorm room right next to the Bob Marley cheesecloth. A hemp-fabric Che Guevara t-shirt? Man, you’re cool.
In other words, it’s taboo, but fashionably taboo. No politician with ambitions for a career outside of the fever swamps of college town gasbaggery would ever cop to the C-word. But few politicians – Democratic politicians at least -- would pay a price later in life for dabbling in “radical politics” in their youth. Meanwhile, if you complain about some kid wearing Karl Marx on his t-shirt you’re just letting the world know how un-hip and hung-up you are.

Prep Article Five: Exorcising the Ghost of Che - His violetn life undercuts his mythic image.
by Nick Gillespie
How resilient is the ghost of Ernesto "Che" Guevara, the Argentine-born Marxist revolutionary who ably assisted the Castro brothers' sadly successful mission to turn Cuba into an island hellhole? His legend survives even a lackluster, long-winded biopic released in 2008 and now just out on DVD.
More important, Che's legend survives the facts of his own life. Born in 1928 and gunned down in 1967 by drunken Bolivian soldiers, Che rarely missed an opportunity to make life miserable for those who opposed him. During the fight against the Batista regime, Che ordered the summary executions of dozens of real and suspected enemies, becoming the very thing he said revolutionaries must be: a "cold-blooded killing machine." As a leader in post-Revolution Cuba, Che became known as the "butcher of La Cabaña" prison, where he oversaw hundreds of murders of political prisoners and "counter-revolutionaries."

Studying and understanding history will ALWAYS teach us about the future. We must, however, learn the truth. For 100 years, Progressive Education has worked hard to change, distort and erase "inconvenient" history. Watch Glenn Beck's first Documentary to learn the REAL HISTORY behind 20th Century Dictators. Part of the plan and program of the American Progressive Movement has been to re-write history and the purposeful dumbing down of America by a large variety of methods.

The dictators above are disciples of the same philosophy that American Progressives headed up by Cloward and Piven and Saul Alinsky that today’s modern day progressives believe in. Our greatest enemy is ignorance or history and the past!!

(American) Progressivism, Fascism, Socialism and Communism are all related terms, on the same side of the political scale…  The opposite of all of them is Anarchy

Lee Edwards is widely regarded as the chief historian of the American conservative movement. He has published more than 15 books about the leading individuals and institutions of American conservatism, including biographies of Ronald Reagan and Barry Goldwater and a history of The Heritage Foundation.

He published To Preserve and Protect: The Life of Edwin Meese III in 2005. It is a biography of Meese, the 75thU.S. Attorney General, a Reagan adviser for more than 30 years – and Heritage's Ronald Reagan Distinguished Fellow in Public Policy.

A second offering in 2005 revisited a favorite subject: Ronald Reagan. A year after the former president's death, Edwards – who published the first Reagan biography in 1967 – thought he should write another to help keep the memory alive. The 187-page result, The Essential Ronald Reagan: A Profile in Courage, Justice and Wisdom, covers Reagan's life and impact on America in a way that led one Amazon.com reviewer to write, "This book is essential for anyone wanting to learn about Ronald Reagan – especially those who are reading about him for the first time."

Edwards, Heritage's Distinguished Fellow in Conservative Thought, also serves as an Adjunct Professor of Politics at the Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C. He is chairman of the Victims of Communism Memorial Foundation, which reached an important goal in 2007: the creation of an international memorial in Washington to the more than 100 million victims of communism.

Modeled after the statue created by Chinese students in 1989 before the Tiananmen Square massacre, the memorial stands at the intersection of Massachusetts Avenue NW and New Jersey Avenue NW. President George W. Bush helped dedicate it on June 12, 2007, saying that while we will never know the names of all who perished, "at this sacred place, communism's unknown victims will be consecrated to history and remembered forever."
