O’Reilly Shamelessly Lies To Cover Obama’s Origins – Fox News Scrubs Its Site

Fox News Scrubs Its Site: O’Reilly Shamelessly Lies To Cover Obama’s Origins

Here's The Right Side Of It

April 15, 2011 by John L. Work

Not Looking Out For You

The once-vaunted Fox News network has joined the rest of the liberal, establishment media in providing cover and concealment for the origins of Barack Obama.  This morning on Peter Boyles’ Denver KHOW talk-radio show, Washington Times columnist Jeff Kuhner spoke about the “birther” story and its widely-known (and feared) underground status within the nation’s capital.  Boyles has been a hound on the trail of the cover-up for the past three years.  Fox News’ Bill O’Reilly, not to mention Glenn Beck and contributor Ann Coulter, long ago jumped into the Orwellian chorus of them who will not see what is directly in front of their faces.

(It is this ring or untouchable news that just might have been what pushed Beck into the decision to leave Fox News!!  Beck has become more and more outspoken, whether indirectly or directly on many “protected subjects” even at Fox News like the true seriousness of the radical Islam issue in America and around the world and the importance of standing with Israel, although the “birther” issue is not a line that even Beck has crossed.  (Also see:  Why Fox Fired Glenn Beck… Or Perhaps Not?)

Boyles says that Fox has now gone to the astonishing length of scrubbing its website of O’Reilly’s blatant lying two nights ago, during his “talking points” segment, when he claimed that Obama’s possession of a Connecticut Social Security number is perfectly legitimate because Barack Obama, Sr. lived in that state when he was a student at Harvard University.  It is a demonstrably impossible scenario.  The e-mails that came in from incredulous Fox News viewers who caught on in a heartbeat to O’Reilly’s mendacity have also been removed from the web and from the site.  The material has vanished down the Orwellian memory hole.  Laura Ingraham is currently sitting in as the show’s substitute host.

The Democrats must continue trying to stifle the story because, if the truth comes out that the President was not Constitutionally eligible to run for his office, it will cause long-term devastation to the leftist political agenda and to its very foundational party structure.  The Democrats staked their entire future on this man-without-a-history, who has broken nearly every promise he made during his 2008 campaign.  (However, several states (including Oklahoma and Arizona) have already passed and eligibility law which will require all candidates to produce their “official” birth certificates in order to be listed on the ballot in their state.)

The mainstream good-ol’-boy Republicans are turning a blind eye because they believe that it’s a losing political argument.  There is no principle within the strategy.  It is completely politically shaped and it is without a shred of courage or ethics.  They are, not to make a pun here, abjectly ignoring the biggest elephant that has ever walked into the nation’s living room – a President who has a sufficiently dark secret within his history that he is willing to spend millions of dollars in legal fees to keep it from becoming public knowledge.  And the Fox News network is now complicit in the dodging of the question:  Who is Barack Hussein Obama and from whence came he?  (Funny how the Republicans don’t seem to remember that John McCain, son and grandson of “two” four star Admirals and a naval officer (and Vietnam POW  himself) in the U.S. Navy and born on a military installation in the Canal Zone in Panama was required to answer questions about where he was born.  McCain was not the first person to find himself in these circumstances. The last Arizona Republican to be a presidential nominee, Barry Goldwater, faced the issue. He was born in the Arizona territory in 1909, three years before it became a state.  I would think that doing the same with Obama would normally be considered tit for tat.  His situation is much more questionable!!)

The result of all of this, whether attributable to O’Reilly’s blind ambitions to continue grabbing Presidential interviews or to the influence of the Saudi Arabian News-Corp buy-in with Rupert Murdoch, is that Bill O’Reilly and Fox have become what he once told us is bad – a mendacious blow-hard television pseudo-reporter who does no more than to run interference for the radical left’s destructive political agenda.

This type of reporting is adding to the popularity of possible presidential candidate Donald Trump, who is at least willing to as the questions…!!!

Now that explains why Alan Keyes has been black-balled by Fox News?

Why Fox fired Glenn Beck… Or…?

In this May 4, 2010 file photo, Fox News Channel\'s Glenn Beck attends the TIME 100 gala celebrating the 100 most influential people, at the Time Warner Center in New York.

You've heard that Fox News fired Glenn Beck, right? You heard that Fox couldn't manage him anymore. You read that network president Roger Ailes canned him to stem the rush of advertisers fleeing his program. You saw on the evening news that his program has been shedding viewers so fast Beck can hardly stop crying.

Those headlines and news leads have been repeated so often it’s safe to assume they’re all true. Even Beck’s kids must think their old man got a pink slip.

Except that he didn’t.

The grossly misleading headlines are typical of competing networks and talking heads that prefer a controversial story about sinking ships to the truth. Of course they’re rooting for Fox and Beck’s collective failures; that’s the game plan in a highly competitive marketplace.

The real surprise would have been if the Los Angeles Times or other news outlets had reported the situation more accurately. Isn’t it a better story when you hear Beck was fired because he didn’t get along with network brass? Don’t your ears perk up when some talking head reports that Beck’s gig has suddenly become the biggest television flop since "The Chevy Chase Show"?

Unfortunately, the truth is much less controversial.

The fair and balanced reality is Beck’s contract was set to expire this year. He and his vastly underrated business and creative teams at Mercury Radio Arts have long considered a change when he became, in effect, a free agent. It’s not what his detractors want you to hear, but if Beck and his production company had wanted to keep the daily show, he would have signed a new deal and continued clubbing the competition.

While Beck’s ratings have slipped from the sky highs of the health care debate, he still pulls 2 million viewers for a live broadcast at 5 p.m. EDT. Consider that a moment. He’s capturing those ratings with a show that airs on the East Coast while most are commuting home and at 2 p.m. on the West Coast, when folks are still tied to their cubicles.

Although he airs during Denny’s senior discount hour, he’s still pulverizing the prime time 8, 9 and 10 p.m. shows on the other cable news networks. He has unprecedented numbers for such an early broadcast. Are we really to believe Fox killed a show breaking ratings records in a time slot no one wants?

Three business partners and I had the opportunity to meet with Beck about a potential project a few weeks before the news broke his show was ending. Sitting in his high-rise office overlooking Manhattan, I was reminded once again how he’s a wildly creative thinker. Whether or not you agree with Beck on politics and policy, it’s almost indisputable he’s more Walt Disney than Rush Limbaugh.

Beck-2007-Dessert-News-FileI’ve seen how his mind runs faster than the pens and laptops around him can keep pace. Ideas for stories, books, films and events go from his head to drawing board to marketable widget faster than should be legal.

The atmosphere he fosters is a blessing and a curse for his team. He’s a tornado of creative energy that keeps their working environment invigorating and challenging. The good news is that no two days are ever alike. The bad news is he’s likely to sit in a staff meeting tomorrow morning and suggest a new line of Glenn Beck cotton sweaters that have the entire Constitution knitted into the right sleeve. Oh, and he wants a prototype by lunch.

That flavor of corporate culture is rare in a media world where most ideas must be generated, spelled out in pitches, run by producers, budgeted, then run more producers, approved by senior executives, etc. None of that traditional bureaucracy fits the way Beck and his team does business.

Hidden between the rumors and speculation is the decidedly non-controversial fact that the grind of a daily show handcuffs Beck, his team, his schedule and their combined energies. Beck will continue to appear on Fox as a guest on other programs, he will produce and appear on programming of interest to Fox’s core audience, and he will remain a member of Fox’s extended family. What he won’t have to do is put on makeup and be locked in a studio at 5 p.m. every weekday.

Perhaps the enduring lesson of this story is that relying on the truth from those rooting for your failure is a bad idea — almost as bad as those sweaters.

Author Jason Wright was the co-author for Glenn Beck’s 2008 book “The Christmas Sweater.” He recounts some of his past interactions with Beck in a 2010 Mormon Times column. Jason Wright can be reached at www.jasonfwright.com or at feedback@jasonfwright.com.

BREAKING NEWS; Time to End the Rumors: - Glenn Beck on FNC to End; 'New Agreement'

To be clear, Glenn Beck is NOT being FORCED off the air. Glenn is going to “transition off of his daily TV program” later this year, according to a press release.
Apparently, Glenn is simply changing the nature of his relationship with FNC; I would imagine he is going to do more than a single TV show. I am not worried that Glenn Beck is going to leave FNC or stop doing what he's doing, but I"ll be profoundly sad to see his excellent TV show go. It has done more to help restore America than ANY OTHER TV SHOW in Fox News' history!  Jared

FOX NEWS AND MERCURY RADIO ARTS ANNOUNCE NEW AGREEMENT; BECK TO ‘TR...

Posted on April 6, 2011 at 12:18pm by Scott Baker

Editor’s note: After a great deal of speculation about Glenn Beck’s future on television, here is the freshly-inked news release. There will be a couple of key headlines out of this…yes, there is a new agreement with Fox News but this is the first confirmation that Beck will “transition off of his daily TV program” later this year.

The program has obviously been a great success for Beck and for Fox News, and the relationship between the organizations seems as strong as ever.

This news release does leave some key questions unanswered for now, primarily, does Glenn have plans for a daily TV or video program down the road? The Blaze will be tracking reaction and speculation about this news release throughout the day. Check back for updates.

Glenn intends to transition off of his daily program, the third highest rated in all of cable news, later this year.

Roger Ailes, Chairman and CEO of Fox News said, “Glenn Beck is a powerful communicator, a creative entrepreneur and a true success by anybody’s standards. I look forward to continuing to work with him.” Glenn Beck said: “I truly believe that America owes a lot to Roger Ailes and Fox News.
