Earth Day… How Did You Celebrate?

Most people didn’t celebrate Earth Day or even remember that it was Earth Day… at least not without being reminded.

And for some An Earth Day Tradition Is… George Carlin on Saving the Planet

George Carlin on the intellectual bankruptcy of “saving the planet”

Video: George Carlin on Saving the Planet – a few questionable words but worth the listen!

The Left:

Video: A Terrorist, OBAMA'S FRIEND Bernadine Dohrn Advocates Communism to Sheeple and Former Soviet

Video: A Terrorist, OBAMA'S FRIEND, Bill Ayers Advocates Communism to Sheeple and Former Soviet Citizen

At the Green Festival in Chicago, they took the full mask off of the true drivers of the Green Activist Movement. The keynote speakers were none other than Bernadine Dohrn and Bill Ayers. They sat up on the dais, and true to form said not one word showing remorse for detonating bombs killing dozens in the Pentagon nor in the NYC Police Precinct House, but instead got right into their message of ending capitalism, our republic, our very freedoms to choose our own destinies. this is the true face of the Environmental Movement today. Any source of energy that works, is considered evil, and must be curbed. That way, our Marxist over lords will be able to completely control our every action, and even some day our thoughts. Of course no one will fall for that willingly, so we need to create an environmental scare to make every one fall for it deceptively. Enter the morons who are worried about Global Warming. Hook, line, and sinker us all down the drain in the name of the single dumbest activist movement in our nation's history. It is not only because the evidence does not in the slightest support their position at all, that man kind is responsible for global warming. It is also moronic in that history has shown every other warm period throughout all of time has been a period of economic boom on a world wide scale, a time of plenty and happiness.

As you watch these two videos, bear in mind that these fine individuals are close friends and advisers to our current President. When Bernadine Dohrn is vamped for the audience, she actually bristles and then flirts with the crowd when her list of accomplishment includes spending a decade on the FBI's 10 most wanted list. The main stream media spent the entirety of 2008 avoiding completely any type of vetting of Barack Obama. I say we show people what he is really up to, and Dohrn and Ayers are as good a place to start as any. when asked about his association with these two in 2008, he said that Bill was just some guy from the neighborhood that I say hi to occasionally. In fact the Ayers Dohrn household was the site of Barack Obama's very first political fundraiser, a fact not once mentioned on any of the news networks not beginning with the letter F.

The Right:

The environmental agenda has been infected by extremism—it's become an economic suicide pact. And we're here to challenge it. On Earth Day, visit www.freemarketamerica.org.

40th (Now 42nd) Anniversary of 1st Earth Day – A Grim Reminder of Immigration and Devastation of a Vision

2012 is the 42nd Anniversary of the 1st Earth Day but re-posting this article from 2010 has become my Earth Day Anniversary Tradition. So when some indoctrinated college student or old hippie corners you with their Earth Day spiel, presentation or product over the weekend and into next week, get their email and send them the link to this post. Winking smile Ask Marion~
This is a great article to use when contacting your Senator and Congressman: 40th Anniversary of 1st Earth Day a Grim Reminder of Immigration’s Devastation of a Vision – We can solve two problems at once. If we stop illegal immigration and cut immigration in general… We will have no need for Cap and Trade and will solve our illegal alien (Hispanic and Muslim) problems, both groups that do not assimilate and reproduce in large numbers. Just by doing this one thing we will improve the quality of life of all Americans and legal aliens.

By Roy Beck, Sunday, April 18, 2010, 7:41 PM EDT – Originally Cross-Posted: 40th Anniversary of 1st Earth Day a Grim Reminder of Immigration’s Devastation of a Vision by Ask Marion originally posted on  4.23.2010 – Updated 2.22.2012

THURSDAY IS THE 40TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE FIRST EARTH DAY — AND A GRIM REMINDER OF HOW IMMIGRATION HAS UNDERCUT VIRTUALLY ALL ENVIRONMENTAL PROGRESS.

Pres. Clinton’s Task Force understood it. The Father of Earth Day understood it. You and I understand it. Why does Congress not understand that U.S. environmental sustainability is not possible unless we greatly reduce immigration numbers?

What does sustainability mean? That the way we live today will not prevent our grandchildren from enjoying the same things we enjoy. The Golden Rule is at the heart of it.

Sustainability was the big idea 40 years ago when much of the nation’s attention was drawn to the events and news of the first Earth Day. I was a cub newspaper reporter covering the events. And I remember well that an important theme in 1970 was that sustainability required the U.S. to begin to stabilize its population after having added the SECOND 100 million in just 55 years.

Well, now we’ve added the THIRD 100 million in less than the 40 years since that first Earth Day and we’re on pace to add the FOURTH 100 million even faster!

Because of this massive population explosion, progress on environmental quality in recent years has stalled. The Chesapeake Bay, for example, is just about as near death today as it was in 1970.

And around 1 MILLION acres of natural habitat and farmland are cleared, scraped and developed each year just to accommodate this rapid population growth.

Nearly all of the population growth is caused by the increases in immigration that Congress ordered or allowed since 1970. For every restriction and cost that the government has put on us since then to improve environmental quality, it has negated part or all of the benefits by forcing high population growth through radically increased immigration numbers.

That is why the Father of Earth Day, Sen. Gaylord Nelson (D-Wis.), made U.S. population stabilization such an important part of the teaching back in 1970 and why he spent much of the last 20 years warning of the environmental dangers of continuing our high-immigration policies.

Even Pres. Clinton’s Population and Consumption Task Force concluded in 1996 that the immigration increases since the first Earth Day had to be rolled back.

The Task Force was a bit nervous about taking on the immigration issues (just like most environmentalists are):

As a matter of public debate, immigration is a sensitive and explosive issue, and both legal and illegal immigration must be addressed with great sensitivity and care in order to advance the debate. We acknowledge these impediments to easy and informal dialogue, and we urge that participants take appropriate care so that a reasoned discussion of immigration and the American future can begin.

But then Pres. Clinton’s Task Force stated forcefully:

We believe that reducing current immigration levels is a necessary part of working toward sustainability in the United States.

Pres. Clinton had established the Task Force in 1993 to find ways “to bring people together to meet the needs of the present without jeopardizing the future.”

Have you noticed that I have been quoting only Democrats?

If you are represented by Democrats in Congress, this is an especially good time to call on them to be true to their Party’s long-standing “stated” commitment to environmental sustainability.

Of course, most of them don’t want to deal with the inconvenient truth that the Democratic Party’s insistence on high immigration to drive massive U.S. population growth is at odds with decades of acknowledgments that these policies simply cannot continue if we hope to leave any kind of natural environmental legacy to our grandchildren.

President Carter in 1977 commissioned a Global 2000 Report <– (the original seems to have been scrubbed) which eventually concluded that the “United States should: Develop a U.S. national population policy that includes attention to issues such as population stabilization … just, consistent and workable immigration laws.”

Without all the increases in immigration, our communities would have around 250 million inhabitants right now, with little likelihood of ever going over 265 million.

Instead, because of a quadrupling in legal immigration numbers, we have more than 310 million inhabitants and are on a trajectory to cross 600 million well before the end of this century!

Obviously, the first Earth Day vision was for an America greatly different than the one we occupy today. And congressional immigration policies are the main reason that bright vision is now so murky.

This 40th anniversary is not a time of celebration but of deep sadness for the promise that was lost.

As Sen. Nelson said on the 32nd anniversary just a few years before his death:

We are preparing to celebrate the 32nd Earth Day just after the Census Bureau has announced that far from winding down in the 1990s, U.S. population growth boomed at its highest level in the nation’s history! Not even the peak of the Baby Boom in the 1950s added as many people!

“This new population boom represents a PROFOUND FAILURE in our nation’s pursuit of environmental quality. Since 1970, another 80 million people have been added to the country.

“Every environmental goal has been delayed because of this failure.

And Sen. Nelson never flinched from naming who had caused the failure: Congress, because of its immigration policies.

I know from past experiences that many NumbersUSA members, especially in the West, do not think so kindly toward Sen. Nelson because he was the father of the Wilderness Act which they believe unfairly took huge swaths of land out of private control and use.

Our membership is divided about a lot of environmental matters. NumbersUSA does not take a position on any environmental issue other than immigration’s role. Whatever your stance on various governmental efforts to combat environmental problems, we all can be united in the understanding that immigration is creating the double whammy of creating great pressures for more and more regulation to control environmental consequences while negating any positive effects.

Let’s require our Members of Congress to promise not to force the FOURTH 100 million on us and our children and grandchildren.

Most of us do believe that it is the right thing to do to be better stewards of our Earth and to be kinder to the animals we share it with. We need to do a better job of protecting our supplies of clean water, stop massive deforestation which includes the saving species of plants that may hold huge medicinal secrets, and to move toward cleaner and a bigger tool box of energy sources. But especially after Climategate most of us do believe that turning these matter over to the government or worse yet global control is not the way to do and will devastate us financially as well as ultimately turning over huge control over our country to the UN.

A lot of what George says makes sense!!

Today’s Earth Day announcement is that Al Gore’s movie, an Inconvenient Truth, based on very questionable science is going to be shown to our children in all public schools without the opposite point of view being offered.

These kids, your kids, are being programmed daily that they are smarter than you are and that it is their job to teach their parents. Can’t get to the adults… get to the kids. Do you remember the last time these methods were used??

Please stand up, as individuals, and in your parent groups… form some if you haven’t already and stop this concept as well as the pushing of the theory of Global Warming !

40 years of predicting the planet’s imminent demise

Earth Day Predictions, from the first one in 1970….

“Civilization will end within 15 or 30 years unless immediate action is taken against problems facing mankind.” -George Wald, Harvard Biologist

“Man must stop pollution and conserve his resources, not merely to enhance existence but to save the race from intolerable deterioration and possible extinction.” -New York Times editorial, the day after the first Earth Day

“Population will inevitably and completely outstrip whatever small increases in food supplies we make. The death rate will increase until at least 100-200 million people per year will be starving to death during the next ten years.” -Paul Ehrlich, Stanford University biologist

“By…[1975] some experts feel that food shortages will have escalated the present level of world hunger and starvation into famines of unbelievable proportions. Other experts, more optimistic, think the ultimate food-population collision will not occur until the decade of the 1980s.” -Paul Ehrlich, Stanford University biologist

“It is already too late to avoid mass starvation.” Denis Hayes, chief organizer for Earth Day

“Demographers agree almost unanimously on the following grim timetable: by 1975 widespread famines will begin in India; these will spread by 1990 to include all of India, Pakistan, China and the Near East, Africa. By the year 2000, or conceivably sooner, South and Central America will exist under famine conditions….By the year 2000, thirty years from now, the entire world, with the exception of Western Europe, North America, and Australia, will be in famine.” -Peter Gunter, professor, North Texas State University

“Scientists have solid experimental and theoretical evidence to support…the following predictions: In a decade, urban dwellers will have to wear gas masks to survive air pollution…by 1985 air pollution will have reduced the amount of sunlight reaching earth by one half….” -Life Magazine, January 1970

“At the present rate of nitrogen buildup, it’s only a matter of time before light will be filtered out of the atmosphere and none of our land will be usable.” -Kenneth Watt, Ecologist

“Air pollution…is certainly going to take hundreds of thousands of lives in the next few years alone.” -Paul Ehrlich, Stanford University biologist

“We are prospecting for the very last of our resources and using up the nonrenewable things many times faster than we are finding new ones.” -Martin Litton, Sierra Club director

“By the year 2000, if present trends continue, we will be using up crude oil at such a rate…that there won’t be any more crude oil. You’ll drive up to the pump and say, `Fill ‘er up, buddy,’ and he’ll say, `I am very sorry, there isn’t any.’” -Kenneth Watt, Ecologist

“Dr. S. Dillon Ripley, secretary of the Smithsonian Institute, believes that in 25 years, somewhere between 75 and 80 percent of all the species of living animals will be extinct.” -Sen. Gaylord Nelson

“The world has been chilling sharply for about twenty years. If present trends continue, the world will be about four degrees colder for the global mean temperature in 1990, but eleven degrees colder in the year 2000. This is about twice what it would take to put us into an ice age.” -Kenneth Watt, Ecologist

It was also announced that Congress is in the process of taking over control of all water in the US. – from Rivers, Lakes, Ponds down to Puddles… our drinking water and irrigation supplies. The existing law gives then control of all navigable water ways… they are now seeking to take out the word ‘navigable’. Ask the citizens of the San Joaquin Valley in CA, who used to be the bread basket of America, how that can work out. They now live in a Federally created Dust Bowl. This is a bad thing America!!

Can Somebody Say Global Warming?? Gore MIA During Blizzards~

AMBER ALERT: Al Gore MIA during blizzards
Glenn is very concerned because Al Gore has suddenly vanished from the public scene. It's almost like he's trying to lay low as the country is pounded with massive snowstorms, BUT he could have also been abducted by some deranged psycho. Speaking of deranged, check out this clip from MSNBC where a reporter explains that all the snow doesn't mean less global warming - it is proof of global warming. ( Transcript, Insider Audio) Washington DC Mall Feb 09 2010 Ironically, President Obama picked this week to announce the formation of a new global warming bureaucracy within the Department of Commerce. The news conference announcing this new “climate service" had to be canceled due to our D.C. area blizzard.

How out of touch is the radical environmental movement that, sadly, has a deep hold on the Obama Administration?

The Department of Commerce news release announcing the new “climate service" actually said the following, "More and more Americans are witnessing the impacts of climate change in their own backyards..."

There's more. The release, paid for with your tax dollars, goes on to say that "People are searching for relevant and timely information about these changes to inform decision making about VIRTUALLY ALL ASPECTS OF THEIR LIVE)." (emphasis added)

This kind of out-of-touch left-wing extremism inspired us here at Americans for Prosperity to create a new video I think you'll find interesting CLICK HERE

But even worse, the Obama Administration, in pursuit of their radical environmental goals, is still pursuing a cap-and-trade agenda that will kill jobs, raise utility bills and gas prices and infringe on our freedoms.

For the last two years, we've fought their radical agenda tooth-and-nail with the help of folks like you. We've held over 80 “Hot Air Tour" balloon rallies from Bozeman, Montana to Jacksonville, Florida and from Little Rock, Arkansas to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to raise awareness of the Left's cap-and-trade energy tax and to get activists to call and email their Senators and Congressmen to vote against it. CLICK HERE FOR MORE ON THESE RALLIES AND OUR EFFORT

Despite the fact that a Pew Foundation poll showed Americans rank "combating global warming" dead last on their list of priorities, President Obama used his recent State of the Union speech to once again demand passage of his cap-and-trade legislation. They even wrote a blank line in the federal budget labeled "allowance for climate policy" to keep secret how much they plan to tax and spend via cap-and-trade. So, the cap-and-trade fight is not over.

Even worse, Obama is not waiting for Congress. The president is now intent on using the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to bypass Congress and move full steam ahead to enforce the Left's global warming agenda.

Soon after President Obama's election, this un-elected bureaucracy issued a "finding" that greenhouse gas emissions endanger human health and welfare and therefore should be regulated by the EPA. Now, the EPA is moving to impose job-killing, freedom-encroaching regulations and mandates on American businesses - at a time when our economy is desperately struggling to create jobs and rebuild prosperity. Over 40,000 AFP activists put official comments in at the EPA on this issue. But to win, we will have to convince Congress to step in and stop the EPA.

Fortunately, there are now serious bipartisan efforts underway in both the House and Senate to do just that - block the EPA's outrageous global warming power grab and return the power to make our country's laws to Congress. At Americans for Prosperity, we're going to be announcing in the near future an intensive effort to combat this job killing EPA power grab. So stay tuned! In the meantime, please take a moment to click here and let your members of Congress know that if they fail to stop the EPA, you will hold them responsible for the consequences.

I hope you’re safe and sound at home if you live in the path of this storm. And you can just look out in your "backyard" for the devastating "impacts" of climate change (that’s what global warming is apparently called during blizzards!).

Video 1 of 6 – Which Obama Showed up for the State of the Union? The one who thinks the American People are stupid, believes the spin cures all and the one intends to move forward with his agenda regardless of the wants and needs of the people.

And, is partisan bickering really one of our biggest problems?

And now for a little laugh…

A teacher asked her 6th grade class how many of them were Obama fans.

Not really knowing what an Obama fan is, but wanting to be liked by the teacher, all the kids raised their hands except for Little Johnny.

The teacher asked Little Johnny why he has decided to be different... again.

Little Johnny said, "Because I'm not an Obama fan."

The teacher asked, "Why aren't you a fan of Obama?" Johnny said, "Because I'm a Republican."

The teacher asked him why he's a Republican. Little Johnny answered, "Well, my Mom's a Republican and my Dad's a Republican, so I'm a Republican."

Annoyed by this answer, the teacher asked, "If your mom was a moron and your dad was an idiot, what would that make you?"

With a big smile, Little Johnny replied, "That would make me an Obama fan."

U.S. formally embraces Copenhagen climate deal

God help us!! Here we go again

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The United States on Thursday formally notified the United Nations that it has embraced the Copenhagen Accord setting nonbinding goals for reducing greenhouse gas emissions that was negotiated last month.

Todd Stern, the top U.S. climate negotiator for the Obama administration, also gave notice that, as expected, it will aim for a 17 percent reduction in emissions of carbon dioxide and other gases blamed for global warming by 2020, with 2005 as the base year.

A final emissions reduction target will be submitted, the U.S. said, once the U.S. Congress enacts domestic legislation requiring carbon pollution cuts. But such legislation has an uncertain fate in the Senate.

From Obama's State of the Union:

Next, we need to encourage American innovation. Last year, we made the largest investment in basic research funding in history -– (applause) -- an investment that could lead to the world's cheapest solar cells or treatment that kills cancer cells but leaves healthy ones untouched. And no area is more ripe for such innovation than energy. You can see the results of last year's investments in clean energy -– in the North Carolina company that will create 1,200 jobs nationwide helping to make advanced batteries; or in the California business that will put a thousand people to work making solar panels.

(Unless with get our unions benefits under control, it does not matter what we produce or if our solar panels are the best in the world... they will be too expensive to compete.)

But to create more of these clean energy jobs, we need more production, more efficiency, more incentives. And that means building a new generation of safe, clean nuclear power plants in this country. (Applause.) It means making tough decisions about opening new offshore areas for oil and gas development. (Applause.) It means continued investment in advanced biofuels and clean coal technologies. (Applause.) And, yes, it means passing a comprehensive energy and climate bill with incentives that will finally make clean energy the profitable kind of energy in America. (Applause.)

(The carrot of Nuclear power, clean coal, and offshore drilling for oil and gas sounds great... so let's get going, or is this another one of those: I'll go through the federal budget line by line and cut costs and waste... not, or I'll close Gitmo my a week ago... not, or the promise of transparency... which also never happened. Obama has a long history of making promises in speeches that never happen.)

I am grateful to the House for passing such a bill last year. (Applause.) And this year I'm eager to help advance the bipartisan effort in the Senate. (Applause.)

(And I am grateful to the House for passing Cap and Trade regardless of what the people want, so I can move toward globalism and my socialist agenda.)

He just keeps daring us, pushing us and moving forward banking on the fact that we won't stop him... So today he gave Copenhagen, globalists and the UN a thumbs up... :-(

HAPPY TAX YEAR!

Before we kiss 2009 a fond farewell, with all its horrors, keep in mind what other goodies we leave behind -- tax breaks. We are now entering the tax part of Obama's 'Tax and Spend' plan. You know how he loves to say "My Plan'- we are going to feel the squeeze of the vice he has put our country in. Not that we haven't suffered that pinch already. Now it really starts.

Not extending the exclusion of tax on unemployment compensation benefits will hit hard, with 7 million people (officially) unemployed, along with not reducing estimated tax payments for small businesses. (I guess there is some positive, the other 7 to 11 million no longer employed but out of the system at least won’t have to pay the taxes.)

Whatever happens, we must keep up the momentum. Eleven months in politics is a long time, and the 2010 elections will be critical. Keeping a watchful eye on the machinations in Congress is like keeping the wheels oiled, and letting them know we are now watching how they do their job will also keep the pressure on them.

They are cleaning our clock, and it must be stopped.

The Heritage Foundation writes about these tax hits:

Happy Tax Year!
January 1, 2010

While millions of Americans are more than ready to put 2009 behind them, they should know that Congress failed to reauthorize dozens of tax breaks for individuals and businesses before the Members scurried home for the Holidays. These “expiring provisions” affect every American in one way or another as individuals or businesses. By allowing them to lapse, Congress has enacted tax increases at time when these taxpayers can least afford it.

The House has passed legislation (H.R. 4213) that would have extended 63 current tax provisions, but the Senate failed to bring this bill to a vote. Thus, all of these provisions expired at midnight last night. Notable provisions as reported today by Tax Notes include:

  • Deduction of state and local general sales taxes (section 164) (Personal Tax Incentives)
  • Additional standard deduction, up to $500 for individuals and $1,000 for couples, for state and local property taxes (section 63) (Personal Tax Incentives)
  • Research tax credit and alternative simplified credit (section 41) (General Business Tax Incentives)
  • New markets tax credit (section 45D) (Community Assistance Provisions)
  • Empowerment zone incentives (sections 1391 and 1202) (Community Assistance Provisions)
  • Renewal community tax incentives (sections 1400E, 1400F, 1400I, and 1400J) (Community Assistance Provisions)
  • District of Columbia Investment Incentives (sections 1400, 1400A, 1400B, and 1400C) (Community Assistance Provisions)
  • Net disaster loss designation and $500 limit per casualty for personal casualty losses attributed to federally declared natural disasters (section 165) (General Disaster Relief Provisions)
  • Expensing for qualified disaster expenses (section 198A) (General Disaster Relief Provisions)
  • Biodiesel and renewable diesel incentives (section 40A) (Energy Incentives)
  • Alternative motor vehicle credit for heavy hybrids (section 30B) (Energy Incentives)

Although the House has acted and passed its version of the Tax Extenders Act of 2009, the Senate failed to act on similar legislation, as a result the following additional key tax provisions will expire:
  • Increased exemption levels for the individual alternative minimum tax (section 55) and personal tax credits allowed against the AMT (section 26)
  • Exclusion of unemployment compensation benefits from gross income (section 85)
  • Alternative fuel mixture tax credit (section 6426(e))
  • Reduced estimated tax payments for small businesses (section 6654(d)(1)(D))

The Senate has had a lot on its plate this year. But it is still unacceptable that they have stalled on the chance to extend these tax provisions that affect every American. By allowing these tax provisions to expire, taxes will rise on many individuals and businesses, and for some of these groups, a punitively steep tax hike.

At the very least, we hope for a New Year’s Resolution from Congress that it acts swiftly in 2010 on passing legislation to amend and extend tax laws that assist every American individual and business which will lead to a stronger, robust economy.

Even better, would be if Congress reformed the entire tax code and brought us a tax system based on one rate, applied once to all income, and in a form every taxpayer can understand. However, that may be asking too much in one New Year’s Resolution.

Source: HAPPY TAX YEAR!

Some things we can be thankful for is that God answered our prayers and stopped Obama (at least for now) from signing the Copenhagen Treaty and thereby ceding away our sovereignty through ClimateGate and then emphasizing the cooling trend to those slow learners by creating record snow storms in both Copenhagen and Washington DC on either end of the conference.

And thus far we have avoided the passing of Obamacare… and it can still be avoided. So rest up over the weekend and ready yourself for the continuation of the fight. Many have pressured their representatives and threatened them with loss of their offices, as they returned home for the holidays. So this fight is not over.

Cap and Trade … Tax and Gov’t Controlled healthcare will be the largest taxes and loss of freedoms this country has ever seen, making the other taxes listed above look like chump change and make us, the American people, look like the chumps!

White House (Told Reporters) “Pass Cap and Trade or We Will Go Around You”: ‘Threatening’ Congress and the American People… Chicago Style

We all know that when any of the 3 branches of government gets out of balance, democracy is at stake, and we are there!! Our Founding Fathers purposely set up a balance of power that the Obama Administration has obliterated. The media is supposed to be the 4th balance or watchdog but other than Fox News, Conservative Radio and Conservative Bloggers, the American people are not getting the real news. They are getting synthesized Obamaland news. The ‘lame stream’ media is almost entirely in the bag for Obama, yet the White House can’t even tolerate the smallest amount of opposition are quietly working at controlling and obliterating all opposition… primarily through the czars.

What the American People must do is demand that the Congress pass a one page amendment to the EPA’s Greenhouse Gases Declaration that was passed the other day, nullifying this horrible and crippling declaration while standing up to the Chicago Style thuggery from this administration!

There has been a theory for quite some time that the Obama Administration was building a new entity within the old structure, just waiting for or to create an emergency so they could flip a switch and activate it. When you see them threatening Congress, ignoring the American People and ignoring the Constitution it becomes clearer and clearer, even for the strongest critics that something is wrong and that this theory could be more than just theory!?!

Today I heard Charles Krauthammer and Bret Baier with a panel of 4, Glenn Beck and Ron Paul, and 3 separate interviews with Congress people say the exact same thing.

Krauthammer: EPA May Spark Revolution vs Obama!

URGENT: FIGHT BACK AGAINST GLOBAL GOVERNANCE: SIGN THE “INSTRUMENT OF REPUDIATION” NOW (Part VII)

Urgent Letter From Lord Monckton – Please Sign Petition

Urgent letter from Lord Christopher Monckton

As I write this, leaders of 190 countries will soon be gathering at a UN “global warming” conference in Copenhagen, Denmark. They will be negotiating a treaty creating an unelected world government with unlimited powers to end free markets worldwide, to tax financial markets out of existence, to grab the equivalent of more than half the U.S. defense budget each year, to interfere directly in your nation’s economic and environmental affairs, and to redistribute your hard-earned dollars to third-world nations in reparation for imagined and imaginary “climate debt.”

When I first revealed the dangerous scope of the draft Copenhagen Treaty in a speech in the U.S. in mid-October, three million people viewed a video clip of me on YouTube discussing that treaty within three weeks – the quickest and biggest Web response to any political speech, ever.

Why was the response so overwhelming? Because Americans care about their great nation and its great Constitution. You believe in democracy.

FIGHT BACK AGAINST GLOBAL GOVERNANCE:

SIGN THE “INSTRUMENT OF REPUDIATION” AND “ALL PAIN, NO GAIN” PETITIONS NOW!

The tired litany of contrived disasters, debacles, catastrophes, cataclysms, Armageddons, and apocalypses mournfully recited by Al Gore and other “global warming” profiteers is ringing hollow in voters’ ears.

In recent weeks, opinion polls in the U.S., Canada, the UK, and Australia have all confirmed a massive collapse in public belief in the “global warming” superstition, notwithstanding the hundreds of billions being spent worldwide on alarmist propaganda by governments and environmentalists.

For years Gore has been dodging a public debate with me on the question of “global warming.” Why? Because he’d lose, big-time. “Global warming” was not, is not, and will never be a global crisis.

World leaders, led by the nose by a handful of politically-motivated scientists and a crowd of what Lenin called “useful idiots” in the media and in academe, are about to bring democracy to an end worldwide – and all for the sake of stopping “global warming” that will not occur.

Recent science has finally proved that the warming effect of our greenhouse-gas emissions is small, harmless, and even beneficial.

Globally, we increase the atmospheric concentration of CO2 by 2 parts per million by volume per year. Even if the UN’s exaggerated estimate of the warming effect of CO2 were right, it would take 23 years at this rate to push up “global warming” by just 1 Fahrenheit degree.

In practice, though, the effect of CO2 is only one-seventh of what the UN imagines – so make that at least 150 years with no carbon emissions worldwide, at all, just to prevent 1°F of future warming. So the draft Treaty’s draconian measures are as economically futile as they are scientifically pointless. Game over.

FIGHT BACK AGAINST GLOBAL GOVERNANCE:

SIGN THE “INSTRUMENT OF REPUDIATION” AND “ALL PAIN, NO GAIN” PETITIONS NOW!

In fact, there has been no “global warming” for 15 years. There has been global cooling for 9 years. This, too, has gone almost unreported. Until recently, the world had been warming for 300 years.

For at least 280 of those 300 years, we could not have been in any way to blame. Even if the world were still warming, which it is not, the fact of that warming would not tell us anything about the cause of the warming.

So there is no need for the Copenhagen Treaty, and no need for the thousand-page climate policies now before both Houses of Congress.

What can you do to stop the massive costs to both our freedom and economic prosperity? You can take action by signing the “Instrument of Repudiation of the Treaty” and then voice your opinion against global warming policies like cap and trade by signing the “All Pain, No Gain” petition.

Get all of your family, relatives, friends, and contacts to do the same. If you love your great country and its athletic democracy as much as I do, you must act now, before it is too late.

Yours truly,

Lord Christopher Monckton
Third Viscount of Brenchly

Also: Summary of Peer-Reviewed Research

Most scientists have a detailed knowledge of their own narrow field of specialization, a general knowledge of fundamental science, an understanding of the scientific method, and a mental model that encompasses a broad range of scientific disciplines. This model serves as the basis of their thoughts about scientific questions.

When a scientist desires to refine his understanding of a specific scientific subject, he often begins by reading one or more review articles about that topic. As he reads, he compares the facts given in the review with his mental model of the subject, refining his model and updating it with current information. Review articles do not present new discoveries. The essential facts given in the review must be referenced to the peer-reviewed scientific research literature, so that the reader can check the assertions and conclusions of the article and obtain more detailed information about aspects that interest him.

A 12-page review article about the human-caused global warming hypothesis is circulated with the petition. To view the entire article in html, 150-dpi PDF, 300-dpi PDF, 600-dpi PDF, Spanish or figures alone in powerpoint or flash, click on the appropriate item in this sentence.

The factual information cited in this article is referenced to the underlying research literature, in this case by 132 references listed at the end of the article. Although written primarily for scientists, most of this article can be understood without formal scientific training. This article was submitted to many scientists for comments and suggestions before it was finalized and submitted for publication. It then underwent ordinary peer review by the publishing journal.

The United Nations IPCC also publishes a research review in the form of a voluminous, occasionally-updated report on the subject of climate change, which the United Nations asserts is “authored” by approximately 600 scientists. These “authors” are not, however – as is ordinarily the custom in science – permitted power of approval the published review of which they are putative authors. They are permitted to comment on the draft text, but the final text neither conforms to nor includes many of their comments. The final text conforms instead to the United Nations objective of building support for world taxation and rationing of industrially-useful energy.

Under pressure from the powers that be the EPA Formally Declares CO2 a Dangerous Pollutant

The EPA declares CO2 a dangerous pollutant. CO2 is a natural substance and what you exhale. This is ridiculous. Most conservative analysts see this as a warning to Congress to pass Cap & Trade or else the EPA will get involved with harsh restrictions on carbon emissions. To show how crazy that is, H2O is the major green house gas in the atmosphere at 65-85%, so with this logic water could be declared a dangerous pollutant.
I saw a commentator say that instead of Congress bowing to the EPA by passing Cap & Trade they should pass a bill to revoke the EPAs ability to regulate CO2 output. Not a bad idea! The liberals will never go along with that, but we can try.

I heard Dick Morris say earlier that we are half way to what would have been the suggested CO2 emission levels for the US , set by the Kyoto treaty, without government interference or UN regulation. That's right, just with good old Yankee ingenuity and the free market... What a concept~

Both Cap and Trade and Obamacare are designed to destroy American freedoms and sovereignty and to hand huge amounts of additional power to the government. Add to that the financial destruction the costs of these two programs will do to the Country and average Americans… you have created the ingredients of a socialistic state… or worse a state of the “World” controlled by the United Nations. Stopping ObamaCare, Cap and Trade, additional spending by government, the loss of any additional freedoms and preventing Obama from making anymore ‘world” commitments . We stand at a precipice! The time to act is now… or your decisions and future life will me made for you! The time is much shorter than you think!

Are You Willing to Pay $145 Trillion for a Program Shrouded in Lies?

Yes, you read that right… Cap and Trade… leading to the Copenhagen Treaty… leading to the full implementation of the United Nation’s Agenda 21 Treaty (already signed and started) would cost $147 Trillion Dollars

And even with the lack of scientific evidence and the release of the emails proving the data rape, lies of parties involved and the destruction of the supposed information that the entire belief (or scam) of man-made global warming is based… our two uber liberal Senators – Boxer and Kerry are still trying to cram a cap and trade bill through the Senate.

The Earth has been cooling for almost 11 years now and the general belief in the scientific community is that the warming before that was not caused by man.

Climategate’s “Harry Read Me” File is a Must Read!

As another pundit said: this isn’t just the smoking gun pointing to the fraud of global warming, it’s a mushroom cloud!

As researchers around the world report on their findings in the hacked emails from the Climatic Research Unit at the University of East Anglia in Britain you often hear references to the infamous “Harry Read Me” file. The entire file, 247 pages long, is an encyclopedia chronicling the absolute mess that temperature records, upon which much global warming theory is based, are in.

Lord Christopher Monckton releases the definitive report on ClimateGate

The whistleblower deep in the basement of one of the ugly, modern tower-blocks of the dismal, windswept University of East Anglia could scarcely have timed it better.

In less than three weeks, the world’s governing class – its classe politique – would meet in Copenhagen, Denmark, to discuss a treaty to inflict an unelected and tyrannical global government on us, with vast and unprecedented powers to control all once-free world markets and to tax and regulate the world’s wealthier nations for its own enrichment: in short, to bring freedom, democracy, and prosperity to an instant end worldwide, at the stroke of a pen, on the pretext of addressing what is now known to be the non-problem of manmade “global warming.”read more…

‘Botch after botch after botch’
Leaked ‘climategate’ documents show huge flaws in the backbone of climate change science
By LORRIE GOLDSTEIN
Toronto Sun
29th November 2009

…The file — 274 pages long — describes the efforts of a climatologist/programmer at the Climatic Research Unit (CRU) of the University of East Anglia to update a huge statistical database (11,000 files) of important climate data between 2006 and 2009.

The computer coding, along with the programmer’s apparently unsuccessful efforts to complete the project, involve data that are the foundation of the study of climate change — recordings from hundreds of weather stations around the world of temperature and precipitation measurements from 1901 to 2006, sun/cloud computer simulations, and the like.

The CRU at East Anglia University is considered by many as the world’s leading climate research agency. Here’s how CBSNews.com…’s Declan McCullagh describes its enormous impact on policymakers:

“In global warming circles, the CRU wields outsize influence: It claims the world’s largest temperature data set, and its work and mathematical models were incorporated into the United Nations Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change’s 2007 report. The report … is what the Environmental Protection Agency acknowledged it ‘relies on most heavily’ when concluding carbon dioxide emissions endanger public health and should be regulated.”

As you read the programmer’s comments below, remember, this is only a fraction of what he says.

- “But what are all those monthly files? DON’T KNOW, UNDOCUMENTED. Wherever I look, there are data files, no info about what they are other than their names. And that’s useless …” (Page 17)

- “It’s botch after botch after botch.” (18)
- “The biggest immediate problem was the loss of an hour’s edits to the program, when the network died … no explanation from anyone, I hope it’s not a return to last year’s troubles … This surely is the worst project I’ve ever attempted. Eeeek.” (31)

- “Oh, GOD, if I could start this project again and actually argue the case for junking the inherited program suite.” (37)

- “… this should all have been rewritten from scratch a year ago!” (45)

- “Am I the first person to attempt to get the CRU databases in working order?!!” (47)

- “As far as I can see, this renders the (weather) station counts totally meaningless.” (57)

- “COBAR AIRPORT AWS (data from an Australian weather station) cannot start in 1962, it didn’t open until 1993!” (71)

- “What the hell is supposed to happen here? Oh yeah — there is no ’supposed,’ I can make it up. So I have : – )” (98)

- “You can’t imagine what this has cost me — to actually allow the operator to assign false WMO (World Meteorological Organization) codes!! But what else is there in such situations? Especially when dealing with a ‘Master’ database of dubious provenance …” (98)

- “So with a somewhat cynical shrug, I added the nuclear option — to match every WMO possible, and turn the rest into new stations … In other words what CRU usually do. It will allow bad databases to pass unnoticed, and good databases to become bad …” (98-9)

- “OH F— THIS. It’s Sunday evening, I’ve worked all weekend, and just when I thought it was done, I’m hitting yet another problem that’s based on the hopeless state of our databases.” (241).

- “This whole project is SUCH A MESS …” (266)

The Devil’s Kitchen calls this “data horribilia” and rightly so. Lorrie Goldstein concludes her piece by saying what many of us have over the years: “And based on stuff like this, politicians are going to blow up our economy and lower our standard of living to “fix” the climate? Are they insane?”

Canadian blogger Small Dead Animals has also been covering the story in detail with a number of excellent resources.

UN Digs In

Meanwhile, over at the United Nations, an organization which stands to rake in billions if the Warmers agenda for global warming is enacted, they are digging in for a fight:

Leaked emails won’t harm UN climate body, says chairman Rajendra Pachaurisays there is ‘virtually no possibility’ of a few scientists biasing IPCC’s advice, after UAE hacking breach
By James Randerson
Guardian.co.uk,
Sunday 29 November 2009

[Mike's note: Would YOU trust this guy?]

There is “virtually no possibility” of a few scientists biasing the advice given to governments by the UN’s top global warming body, its chair said today.

Rajendra Pachauri defended the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) in the wake of apparent suggestions in emails between climate scientists at the University of East Anglia that they had prevented work they did not agree with from being included in the panel’s fourth assessment report, which was published in 2007.

The emails were made public this month after a hacker illegally obtained them from servers at the university.

Pachauri said the large number of contributors and rigorous peer review mechanism adopted by the IPCC meant that any bias would be rapidly uncovered.

“The processes in the IPCC are so robust, so inclusive, that even if an author or two has a particular bias it is completely unlikely that bias will find its way into the IPCC report,” he said.

What absolute bunk! From the very beginning of the global warming story we’ve seen example after example which confirms how the UN climate panel process has been corrupted. The hacked emails simply confirm what we have known all along. This isn’t about science, it’s about money and power.

What we are likely to find is that the mess at CRU-East Anglia is also replicated at the other big Warmer data factories since their conclusions are all very similar. The only way to be sure is to have an open and transparent investigation of ALL the major data centers doing this work in the United States, Great Britain and elsewhere.

There is absolutely no reason to proceed with any further world plans to address global warming with this kind of doubt, corruption and incompetence on such full display!

Obama to Go to Hopenhagen With Emissions Target – Of Course

Obama has been tap dancing with American Public for weeks now, like with his troop decision

from the newly re-awakening NYTIMES, all the news that's fit to print on November 26, 2009 :-)

Obama to Go to Copenhagen With Emissions Target

By JOHN M. BRODER

WASHINGTON — President Obama is pledging a provisional target for reductions in greenhouse gas emissions in the United States, the first time in more than a decade that an American administration has offered even a tentative promise to reduce production of climate-altering gases, the White House announced Wednesday.

At the international climate meetings in Copenhagen next month, Mr. Obama will tell the delegates that the United States intends to reduce its greenhouse gas emissions “in the range of” 17 percent below 2005 levels by 2020 and 83 percent by 2050, officials said.

The figures reflect targets specified by legislation that passed the House in June but is stalled in the Senate. Congress has never enacted legislation that includes firm emissions limits or ratified an international global warming agreement with binding targets.

Mr. Obama will travel to the United Nations talks to deliver the promise in hopes of spurring significant progress there. He will appear Dec. 9, near the beginning of the 12-day session, on his way to accept the Nobel Peace Prize in Oslo on Dec. 10, officials said.

By making the pledge in an international forum, Mr. Obama is laying a bet that Congress will complete action on a climate bill next year and will be prepared to ratify an international agreement based on the commitment.

But White House officials acknowledged that those outcomes were uncertain. They will depend in large measure on whether the Democratic sponsors of the legislation can win 60 votes for a measure that is at the moment unpopular and whether major developing nations, notably China and India, deliver credible emissions reduction pledges of their own.

Mr. Obama has met over the past two weeks with the leaders of China and India, the fastest-growing sources of greenhouse gases, to discuss climate change and the Copenhagen conference.

American officials said that both countries told the president they would be prepared to announce steps to reduce the rate of growth of emissions if the United States put a pledge on the table.

Neither has done so yet, although Chinese officials have hinted that they will announce a near-term target for reducing energy use relative to economic growth, or “carbon intensity,” before the Copenhagen conference opens.

The Chinese Foreign Ministry announced on Thursday that Prime Minister Wen Jiabao would attend the conference.

“Obviously, we hope other major economies will put forth ambitious action plans of their own,” Carol M. Browner, the president’s senior adviser for energy and climate change, said at a White House briefing on Wednesday morning.

Mr. Obama, who had not previously committed either to emissions targets or to going to Copenhagen, has been under considerable pressure from other world leaders and environmental advocates to reassert American leadership on climate change.

Andreas Carlgren, the Swedish environment minister, said that Mr. Obama had now raised expectations for the Copenhagen talks, but he expressed a note of disappointment about the timing of his visit. He said he hoped Mr. Obama would come in the final days of negotiations, when dozens of other heads of government were planning to arrive.

A White House official said a return trip was “highly unlikely.”
It was unclear what effect Mr. Obama’s promise of domestic emissions reductions would have on the slow progress of climate legislation through Congress. Until now, the administration’s negotiators have said they will not get ahead of Congress in making promises in an international forum, but Mr. Obama has now essentially adopted the targets of a climate and energy bill that passed the House in June.

The House bill aims at greenhouse gas reductions of 17 percent below 2005 levels by 2020 and sharper cuts in the following decades, through a cap-and-trade system that includes most of the nation’s major sources of carbon dioxide emissions. Last month, a Senate committee passed a measure calling for a 20 percent cut by 2020, but that is expected to be weakened as the legislation moves through other Senate committees and onto the floor, perhaps next spring.

“By putting a serious number for U.S. emission reductions on the table, the president has just called the world’s bet and then raised it for our negotiating partners,” said Representative Edward J. Markey, co-sponsor of the House legislation.

Senator John Kerry, Democrat of Massachusetts, co-sponsor of the Senate legislation, said he believed that the president’s actions would give a boost to the Copenhagen talks and help move the Senate bill. He called the decision to declare an American target a “game changer,” domestically and internationally.

“By announcing a provisional target, contingent on the support of Congress, the president has defined a path to an international agreement that challenges the developed and developing nations to fulfill their obligations,” he said. “It lays the groundwork for a broad political consensus at Copenhagen that will strip climate obstructionists here at home of their most persistent charge, that the United States shouldn’t act if other countries won’t join with us.”

But Senator James M. Inhofe, the Senate’s most outspoken skeptic on climate change, said that Mr. Obama’s public pledge would do little to speed an international agreement and foolishly prejudged the outcome of a Senate debate that had barely started. Mr. Inhofe, Republican of Oklahoma, said that Senate climate legislation was “dying on the vine” and that the Senate would never ratify a treaty that did not require strong emissions reductions from major developing countries.

“The U.S. Senate has made clear on numerous occasions that unilateral action by the United States is unacceptable, because it will harm our economy and have virtually no effect on climate change,” Mr. Inhofe said.

Mr. Obama takes little risk in appearing briefly at the Copenhagen conference because he and other world leaders punctured expectations for the session 10 days ago in a side meeting of leaders of Pacific nations. The leaders agreed that they would work at Copenhagen toward an interim political declaration on climate change that stopped short of a binding international treaty. Delegates are expected to pledge to complete work on a treaty next year.

Mr. Obama came to office promising to end eight years of relative inaction on climate change under the Bush administration, but the inaction of Congress has limited the administration’s ability to negotiate with other nations. At the Kyoto climate conference in 1997, the Clinton administration joined other industrialized nations in pledging to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 5.2 percent by 2012, but Congress refused to ratify the agreement because it made no demands of developing nations.

Many foreign leaders, particularly those in European nations that have been more aggressive in dealing with climate change, have become critical of Mr. Obama’s seeming passivity on the issue. The White House appears to hope that the announcement of the targets and the trip to Copenhagen will quiet some of the dissension and help Mr. Obama re-establish American leadership on what he calls one of the signature issues of the time.

Mr. Obama said recently that he would attend the session if his presence could help lead to a successful outcome. It is significant that he will appear at the beginning rather than at the end of the 12-day meeting. Most major decisions at such environmental talks come in the closing days.

Yvo de Boer, head of the United Nations climate directorate, said in an e-mail message that he would like to see the American target in writing and a pledge of money to help poorer nations adapt to a changing climate.

“If the president comes in the first week to announce that,” Mr. de Boer said, “it would be a major boost to the conference.”
The White House also announced that several cabinet secretaries would speak at the Copenhagen conference: Lisa P. Jackson, the Environmental Protection Agency administrator; Steven Chu, the secretary of energy; and Ken Salazar, the secretary of interior.
James Kanter contributed reporting from Brussels.

Climategate: the final nail in the coffin of ‘Anthropogenic Global Warming’? - Not if your Progressive Agenda 21 (video) Supporting Leaders Can Help It!! See: Progressives In Congress

Mind you, Senators Barbara Boxer and John Kerry are frantically trying to sneak a Cap and Trade Bill through the Senate for Obama to take to Copenhagen to Sign the Copenhagen Treaty to cede US Sovereignty to the UN and to step up the progression of Agenda 21 and meeting their Dec 31, 2009 deadline goal. Much of its provisions have already started or are in place just waiting for Cap and Trade and the Copenhagen Treaty to be signed my Obama.
