Democrat Senator Switches Parties… Video Goes Viral

Marion Algier - AskMarion

Black Democrat Louisiana State Senator Elbert Guillory of Opelousas, who made history as Louisiana's first black Republican legislator since Reconstruction when he switched political parties posted an Internet video railing against the Democrat Party that has gone viral (nationally) and has been featured on several talk shows in its entirety.

Video: Elbert Guillory: "Why I Am a Republican"

Guillory has been mentioned as a possible candidate for lieutenant governor.

When asked about it, he told reporters, “This is politics. People say a lot of things. We’ll see how things shape up over the next couple of years.”

Guillory called the Democrat party “the party of disappointment” and said its policies had “left Louisiana behind.”

In the video, filmed in the rear of the Senate chamber, he used harsher words, calling it “the party of Jim Crow” while the Republican Party was described as “the party of freedom and progress.”

He said returning to the GOP was “not only right for me, but for all of my brothers and sisters in the black community.”

Sadly as our history has been rewritten, many black Americans, in fact Americans in general, do not remember that Abraham Lincoln was the first Republican Party president and that most blacks voted Republican, including Martin Luther King, Jr., until the mid-1960’s.

A re-writing of history, that certainly contributes to having a first lady just coming off her latest $100-million combination vacation (including a pre-trip for herself and 1st daughters) and state trip with her husband, make statements at a conference like: living in the White House is sometimes like living in a “really nice prison”… and that the first time she was ever proud of America is when her husband was elected president… plus the underlying feelings that go with statements like that.

Democrats were able to secure a huge majority of the black vote comprised of those afraid to cast an alternate ballot through violence, property damage, rape, and murder, and Disgustingly, they have somehow been able to maintain that death-grip on the African-American community to this day.

When these reprehensible strategies, though unquestionably effective, did not satiate their need to keep the black population down, Democrat-supported legislation such as Jim Crow laws that made sure these minorities would remain second-class citizens even after the ratification of the 13th Amendment. There are plenty of examples of heralded Democrats, including Presidents LBJ and Truman, expressing disdain for blacks in their own words.  Most also do they realize that the Founder of Planned Parenthood, Margaret Sanger, was a racist who believed in eugenics and supported The Negro Project.

Republicans, thankfully, emerged as the pro-freedom, anti-slavery alternative to the juggernaut that was the Democrat party. Despite the fact that significantly more Republicans supported the 1964 Civil Rights Act than did Democrats (and the fact that Republican President Dwight D. Eisenhower was the first to initiate the legislation which finally passed and was enacted under Democrat Presidents JFK and LBJ), the party of the left has somehow hoodwinked much of the black community into thinking they are its savior. In fact until the passing of the 1964 Civil Rights Act, Martin Luther King was a Republican, re-registering as a Democrat as part of the negotiations, and so were most blacks Republicans (the party of Abraham Lincoln) until that time. Facts like these are part of the reason the Progressives consistently fight to re-write and edit the history that is taught and skew media productions.  Read more about the history of racism in the Democrat party

sarah-and-alveda-8-28-10_thumb MLK’s niece, Alveda King, stood with Glenn Beck and conservative political and religious leaders from around the country, including Sarah Palin, at Beck’s ‘Restore Honor’ Event in DC… Against hate and racism.

Dr. Alveda King says her uncle’s dream was not about the redistribution of wealth and that he knew that we all needed to be Americans… not separate races. He fought for the rights of all men.  He fought for the life, the liberty and the pursuit of happiness for all…

Guillory says Democrats use welfare and food stamps “as a mechanism for politicians to control the black community. The idea that blacks, or anybody for that matter, need the government to get ahead is despicable.”  It is a theme supported by former Democrat welfare mom and now Republican author and Founder of CURE, who ran for Congress in 2012, Star Parker in her book Uncle Sam's Plantation.

Guillory makes several references to slavery.

“Our self-initiative and our self-reliance have been sacrificed in exchange for allegiance to our overseers who control us by making us dependent on them.”

He urges “my brothers and sisters of the American community, please join with me today in abandoning the government plantation and the party of disappointment. So that we may all echo the words of one Republican leader, MLK, who famously said, ‘Free at last, free at last, thank God Almighty, we are free at last.’”

The End of Martin Luther King’s “I Have a Dream” speech:

And when this happens, when we allow freedom to ring, when we let it ring from every village and every hamlet, from every state and every city, we will be able to speed up that day when all of God’s children, black men and white men, Jews and Gentiles, Protestants and Catholics, will be able to join hands and sing in the words of the old Negro spiritual,

"Free at last, free at last.

Thank God Almighty, we are free at last."

There is a new wave of black conservative awakening at hand. Former Congressman Artur Davis left the Democrat party for the GOP and was a featured speaker at the Romney Republican Convention in 2012 and the pool of conservative black leaders is growing including GOP presidential candidate Herman Cain, Congressman Allen West, Dr. Ben Carson, Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, Mayor Mia Love, Senator Tim Scott, political activist, songwriter and vocalist of the "American Tea Party Anthem" Lloyd Marcus, author of Blacklash and political activist Deneen Borelli, talk show host and co-founder of TeaParty365 David Webb, and the list goes on.  Just watch below; people who see themselves as proud Americans, conservatives… not black-conservatives.

Sean Hannity and Glenn Beck have both hosted specials giving black conservative leaders a forum.

The Day the Music Died (Part I)

Recreate ’68 – Adbusters

The Recreate ’68 Committee has its origins in the Democratic National Convention protests in Chicago, 1968. They were violent and spurred on by leftist groups pushing a Progressive agenda. In 2008, the Recreate ’68 group was co-founded and organized by Mark Cohen, Glenn Spagnuolo and numerous others. They took aim at the August 2008 Democratic National Convention in Denver, Colorado. The timing was off and the movement did not have the chaotic and violent impact to the extent they had all hoped for. 2012 is another story however, and the ingredients have all come together for riots, violence and chaos through the efforts of the Occupy Wall Street movement.

From Human Events:

The 68’ Chicago riots, which lasted five days, nearly destroyed the city of Chicago. Anti-war demonstrators clashed with 11,900 Chicago police, 7,500 Army troops, 7,500 Illinois National Guardsmen, and 1000 Secret Service Agents.

Riots started by so-called “peace activists” included thug Black Panther founder Bobby Seale, David Dellinger, chairman of the National Mobilization Committee to End the War in Vietnam, Rennie Davis and Tom Hayden, members of the Students for a Democratic Society, Abbie Hoffman and Jerry Rubin, leaders of the Youth International Party (those lovable YIPPIES), Lee Weiner research assistant at Northwestern University, eight civilians known as “The Chicago 8,” and John Froines, a professor at the University at the University of Oregon.

These are not fun-loving, peaceniks who just want peace, love and drugs for all – oh no… These are hardcore Marxist revolutionaries who are a tool of the State and are being used to bring America to her knees while stripping us of our Constitutional heritage. This is Occupy Chicago and seasoned leftists who are itching for a fight – 50,000 are being summoned to the protest. This is not only a confrontation with business, police and conservatives – the G8 and NATO will be there to bring even more gravitas to the event. They will battle police and anyone who gets in their way – this is their time and they are going for it. Think Altamont or Kent State, only worse.

From Adbusters:

Hey you redeemers, rebels and radicals out there,

Against the backdrop of a global uprising that is simmering in dozens of countries and thousands of cities and towns, the G8 and NATO will hold a rare simultaneous summit in Chicago this May. The world’s military and political elites, heads of state, 7,500 officials from 80 nations, and more than 2,500 journalists will be there.

And so will we.

On May 1, 50,000 people from all over the world will flock to Chicago, set up tents, kitchens, peaceful barricades and #OCCUPYCHICAGO for a month. With a bit of luck, we’ll pull off the biggest multinational occupation of a summit meeting the world has ever seen.

And this time around we’re not going to put up with the kind of police repression that happened during the Democratic National Convention protests in Chicago, 1968 … nor will we abide by any phony restrictions the City of Chicago may want to impose on our first amendment rights. We’ll go there with our heads held high and assemble for a month-long people’s summit … we’ll march and chant and sing and shout and exercise our right to tell our elected representatives what we want … the constitution will be our guide.

And when the G8 and NATO meet behind closed doors on May 19, we’ll be ready with our demands: a Robin Hood Tax … a ban on high frequency ‘flash’ trading … a binding climate change accord … a three strikes and you’re out law for corporate criminals … an all out initiative for a nuclear-free Middle East … whatever we decide in our general assemblies and in our global internet brainstorm – we the people will set the agenda for the next few years and demand our leaders carry it out.

And if they don’t listen … if they ignore us and put our demands on the back burner like they’ve done so many times before … then, with Gandhian ferocity, we’ll flashmob the streets, shut down stock exchanges, campuses, corporate headquarters and cities across the globe … we’ll make the price of doing business as usual too much to bear.

The irony is thick enough to cut with a knife. Welcome to the American Spring…

Despite the Marxist musings of In These Times, Rahm Emanuel will do everything he can to stir the revolution pot and egg on the protestors/terrorists in Chicago this May. It is a vital element for the ‘change’ that Obama promised in which the US is brought closer to his Marxist vision of the future, with you-know-who on the collective throne. The Godfather of Chicago is urgently seeking Iraq and Afghanistan combat veterans to work security positions for the G8. Why would you actively seek to use recent combat vets in policing roles, if you weren’t hoping to recreate a Kent State style confrontation? Yep, everyone has been invited to this explosive dance – the Progressive’s dance cards are full.

There have been a number of individuals issuing a warning on this: Glenn Beck (whose interpretation of McLean’s The Day the Music Died, gets it exactly right), Trevor Loudon, Cliff Kincaid, Aaron Klein, Gulag Bound, David Horowitz, AskMarion, the Daily Thought Pad, the NoisyRoom and this blog. When we tell you that Occupy Wall Street will get bigger and more violent and chaotic this spring and summer, you need to listen. It is all part of the bottom up, top down, inside out strategy of the Progressives and it is upon us.

A violent confrontation in Chicago could have disastrous effects on the nation. Anything and everything from murders and rapes, to shutting down the financial sector, to some form of martial law. May 1st could become The Day The Music Died, as Satan laughs with delight and the top comes crushing down on America. Time to go retro — tune in to a long-forgotten station — let your soul hear the true music and prepare to set your feet upon the righteous path.
