The Founding Father's Real Reason for the Second Amendment
And remember the words of Thomas Jefferson "The strongest reason for the people to retain the right to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against tyranny in government." T'S A WONDERFUL LIFE
Can You Really Still Believe That None of These People Would Have Done a Better Job???
In the past few days, If I Were the Devil: Paul Harvey (Warning for a Nation) has gone viral. If you have not heard it, or haven’t heard it for awhile… please listen to the whole thing. Harvey recorded this in 1965… sounding like he was looking at 2012.
Paul Harvey was the BEST. No one on the radio was or is as good as Paul Harvey was. He could deliver a story on radio better than anyone could with pictures and media. Harvey made you think. He made you see. He made you feel. But, most importantly, he made you believe!
At a radio seminar several years before his death in 2009, Harvey walked into the room and immediately commanded everyone’s attention. He received a standing ovation before he even uttered a word.
Harvey was a genius at his craft. He delivered daily broadcasts for ABC Radio Networks and captured us all with The Rest of the Story. His listening audience topped 24-million people per week at the peak of his career. And that doesn’t even begin to take into account the people who read his newspaper column or took any opportunity to hear him speak live.
Although the following audio is from 1965, you would think he recorded it yesterday. That’s how brilliant he was… and his words are a testament as to how low we have sunk. “Good Day”!
Why?? 'His continued candidacy spells nothing but ruin for conservatives'
Newt Gingrich
Talk-radio hostMichael Savage says America can't survive another four years of Barack Obama, and he's putting his money where his mouth is, offering Republican presidential contender Newt Gingrich $1 million to drop out of the race within 72 hours.
Savage says that while rival Mitt Romney is not entirely satisfying to conservatives, the former Massachusetts governor can beat Obama. Gingrich, on the other hand, according to Savage, is "unelectable."
"If Newt Gingrich really loves this country as much as he says he does, if he really wants what is best for America, he will set his ego aside, call me and accept my offer," Savage wrote on his website today.
"His continued candidacy spells nothing but ruin for conservatives, Republicans and all true American patriots," he continued. "One million dollars in exchange for preserving the nation, Newt. I say take the money … and don't run."
Savage noted that the Republican presidential field has come down to two candidates who have a real chance of getting the nomination, Gingrich and Romney.
"While it's true that Romney is not as strong a conservative as many would like him to be, the most pressing issue before America today is defeating Barack Obama," he said. "And that is something Newt Gingrich cannot do."
Savage outlined the reasons he believes Gingrich can't win the general election:
When he was speaker of the House, he failed to deliver on his so-called Contract with America;
He made ads with Nancy Pelosi promoting the false theory of global warming;
He's in favor of amnesty for illegal aliens;
He's taken hundreds of thousands of dollars from Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, two of the most corrupt financial institutions in history;
He's cheated on two wives, which will destroy his chances among female voters;
He called the Republican plan to reform Medicare "right-wing social engineering";
In a presidential debate against Obama, regardless of how well he does, on television he will come off badly compared to Obama and look like nothing more than what he is: A fat, old white man.
Next time you call a talk radio station, beware: The FBI may be listening.
According to WMAL.com, "The FBI has awarded a $524,927 contract to a Virginia company to record as much radio news and talk programming as it can find on the Internet. … The FBI says it is not playing Big Brother by policing the airwaves, but rather seeking access to what airs as potential evidence."
The agency's reasons for recording all these radio programs don't get any clearer as the news report goes on. No doubt that is intentional.
That was Rush Limbaugh's advice to a caller who was clinging to hope that the former Alaska governor would finally enter the 2012 Presidential race.
"You've got practical things like filing deadlines coming up, some are within a week now," Rush explained, "so I think it's time to move on. I think it's time to let go and move on" (FREE audio).
Ken Hoffman at the Houston Chronicle complained that, "Limbaugh is now calling first lady Michelle Obama … 'Moo-Chelle Obama.' Even for El Rushbo, that's stupid and insensitive. Limbaugh reportedly earns $38 million a year and lives in a beachfront mansion in Palm Beach, Fla. He can't afford a mirror?"
Michael Savage
This week, Michael Savage labeled Barack Obama a "lifetime Marxist" and renewed concerns about his eligibility to serve as president.
He explained to listeners: Obama is "a man who refuses to show a valid birth certificate, a man who applies for college aid as a foreign student and then denies he's foreign, a man who has a SocialSecurity number from a state he's never even lived in." (FREE audio).
Savage also declared: "The second Bolshevik revolution is beginning in the United States of America, egged on by our first communist president and his cronies. Obama is using the rabble in the gutters to draw attention away from the 'Fast and Furious' Mexican gunrunning scandal, and all the other scandals in this administration":
The New York Times shadowed Sean Hannity as part of a story about Fox News' 15th anniversary, and were forced to concede: "Despite the inflammatory rhetoric he instigates, Mr. Hannity is good-natured and humble in person, as interested in his children's tennis matches as in Mitt Romney's foreign policy positions. He rarely agrees to interviews, and when he did last week, he said he did not read negative articles about him, or even the friendly Twitter account all about his abundant head of hair."
Newt Gingrich joined Hannity on the air to analyze the most recent GOP candidate's debate, both his own performance and those of the other potential Republican nominees (FREE audio).
Mark Levin
"These debates are starting to bore me," Mark Levin told listeners this week. He complained that there were too many participants, and none of them will dare take on Mitt Romney (FREE audio).
Speaking of Romney, Levin slammed New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie for endorsing him. Levin feels neither of these men are "true" conservatives, and he is tired of hearing that "conservatives can't win" (FREE audio).
Laura Ingraham
Two Republican governors offered Ingraham different takes on who could take the White House in 2012.
Mississippi Gov. Haley Barbour told Laura and her listeners that Herman Cain would "sweep the South" if he is the GOP nominee (FREE audio).
However, former Pennsylvania Gov. Ed Rendell told her, "If the election were held today, Mitt Romney would defeat Barack Obama in Pennsylvania – a state the president won by roughly 10 points in 2008."
Rendell warned the party not to select a "wacky" nominee, and stick with somebody "competent." He added, "Sometimes I think the Republican Party has a death wish."
"I actually agree with you on that," Ingraham replied. "In many ways I think the Republicans can screw things up easily."
Glenn Beck
Glenn Beck expanded his business empire this week, announcing the launch of his "1791" clothing line.
Beck explained, "The main thrusts of the 1791 line are to remember where we came from as Americans ... and to restore values and efforts that have made America great."
Beck sided with Hank Williams Jr. this week, after the singer/songwriter got in trouble for making a clumsy analogy that mentioned "Hitler" and "Obama" (but contrary to what's been reported, he didn't compare the two.) Beck played excerpts of Williams' new song"Keep the Change," and condemned ESPN and his former employers at Fox News for throwing Williams under the bus (FREE webcam).
And now, from the left side of the dial ...
Did you ever think you'd live to see a cable news host question the "blackness" of a potential president?
That's what happened when Al Sharpton and Prof. Karen Hunter struggled to make sense of Herman Cain's campaign for the Republican nomination (FREE audio).
Weirder still, the producer of progressive Stephanie Miller's radio show made a bizarre on-air suggestion that Cain was an anti-Semite. It was so outrageous even Miller expressed her embarrassment and tried to change the subject.
While these outbursts are painful to listen to, they reveal the unprincipled desperation of people whose worldview is crumbling before their eyes. That's probably the only redeeming social value these radio programs have.
And Gov’t (FEMA) to Take Control of Communications Temporarily On 11/9/11… Does that Combination of #’s bother anyone else? And Will We Believe This Will Be Temporary?
FEMA, the FCC, and Homeland Security plan to commandeer the airwaves next month. The Emergency Alert System (EAS) will be tested at 1 PM EST on November 9. EAS alerts are transmitted over radio and television broadcast stations, cable television and other media services.
Local and state EAS components are tested weekly and monthly, but this will be the first national test of the system. It is significant that FEMA will conduct the mandatory test.
Fairness Doctrine Raises Its Ugly Head Under New FCC “Diversity Czar”
What’s a poor liberal progressive to do when the radio airwaves are dominated by conservative talk and they can’t seem to “get a word in”? Why not diversify it? After Dan Rather got hammered recently for suggesting the news media needs a public handout, now on the horizon is an FCC Diversity Czar calling for private broadcasting companies to fund public broadcasting companies their total operating cost. Matt Cover at CNSNEWS.COM files this report:
(CNSNews.com) - Mark Lloyd, newly appointed Chief Diversity Officer of the Federal Communications Commission, has called for making private broadcasting companies pay licensing fees equal to their total operating costs to allow public broadcasting outlets to spend the same on their operations as the private companies do. LINK
Lloyd not only wants the money to come from private companies, he is planning on regulating the content:
“Local public broadcasters and regional and national communications operations should be required to encourage and broadcast diverse views and programs,” wrote Lloyd. “These programs should include coverage of all local, state and federal government meetings, as well as daily news and public issues programming. (see link above for complete story)
Pravda anyone?
Lloyd wrote a book back in 2006 that must have caught someone in the Obama administration’s eye titled Prologue to a Farce: Communications and Democracy in America, published by the University of Illinois Press. Matt Cover explains that “Lloyd wrote Prologue to a Farce while a senior fellow at the liberal Center for American Progress. In that capacity, he co-authored the 2007 report The Structural Imbalance of Political Talk Radio”
The report argued that large corporate broadcasting networks had driven liberals off the radio, and that diversity of ownership would increase diversity of broadcasting voices
Did you catch that? These unfortunate liberals have been “driven” off the radio. Why wait for the liberals to produce a fairness doctrine when you’ve got a Diversity Czar under the White House’s thumb?

Obama has ANOTHER unelected person in a powerful position that will make rules we all have to live with and he reports only to Obama.
This latest of a long line of czars will have the power to assess any radio station 100% of their gross operating expenses if he does not like their content. Further, if any of the talk show hosts say anything he doesn't like, he can refuse to renew that station's license for the following year. He can, at will, give the license to ACORN or any other group or person he chooses.
More communist action from a communist president. Can anyone say "state-run media"?
OK, Bush-haters, where are your Hitlerian signs now? Who is the real Hitler here folks? Do any of you CARE? Are you Obama worshippers so totally enamored with this guy that you can't see who and what he is?
How does Obama rationalize all this power-grabbing, all these take-overs, this entire slide into communism? "I won".
thecommunists, I remained silent; I was not a communist.
Then they locked up the social democrats, I remained silent; I was not a social democrat.
Then they came for the trade unionists, I did not protest; I was not a trade unionist.
Then they came for the Catholics, I did not protest; I was a Protestant.
Then they came for the Jews, I did not speak out; I was not a Jew.
When they came for me, there was no one left to speak out for me.
