THE "KENNEDY HEALTH CARE BILL" WAS WRITTEN INTO THE NEW HEALTH CARE REFORM INITIATIVE ENSURING THAT THAT CONGRESS AND THE PRESIDENT WILL BE 100% EXEMPT !

Buried in his massive amendment to the Senate version of Obamacare is Reid's anti-democratic poison pill designed to prevent any future Congress from repealing the central feature of this monstrous legislation!

                        Beginning on page 1,000 of the measure, Section 3403 reads in part: "It shall not be in order in the Senate or the House of Representatives to consider any bill, resolution, amendment or conference report that would repeal or otherwise change this subsection."


                        In other words, if President Barack Obama signs this measure into law, no future Senate or House will be able to change a single word of Section 3403, regardless whether future Americans or their representatives in Congress wish otherwise!! (This will be challenged in Court but the audacity and darkness behind this type of legislation speaks for itself.)

                        Note that the subsection at issue here concerns the regulatory power of the Independent Medicare Advisory Board (IMAB) to "reduce the per capita rate of growth in Medicare spending." without particulars of how and how not to reach this goal.

                        That is precisely the kind of open-ended grant of regulatory power that effectively establishes the IMAB as the ultimate arbiter of the cost, quality and quantity of health care to be made available to the American people. And Reid wants the decisions of this group of unelected federal bureaucrats to be untouchable for all time.

FACTS -  If the Slaughter Method is used:

1.  The Senate Bill will be passed as is… including all the kick backs.

2.  Abortions will be covered using taxpayer money.

3.  The chances of any of the questionable legislation or deals promised to be removed from this bill will not happen.

4.  Additional deals are being cut one by one to get the votes on this bill and everyone will cost you money and or freedoms!

5.  The takeover of the student loan industry, including federal control over curriculum and ‘service  requirements’  for your children  is being attached to this bill.

6.  There will be no 72-house opportunity for the legislators or the people to read the bill.

7.  The 2/3 of negative legislation already passed (see below) as part of the stimulus bill and others will be activated by this bill’s passing.

8.  Experts say that the chances of this bill being over-turned, or at least a large part of it, is virtually nil once it passes.

Of the nineteen who have moved closer to voting no, ten are the subject of League of American Voters ads: Arcuri, Dahlkemper, Gifford, Pomeroy, Carney, Kanjorski, Kirkpatrick, Mollohan, Rahill, and Space.
But we have an urgent need to advertise in the eleven districts where members who voted no are moving toward a yes vote. Please send us funds right now so we can put ads in their districts on Monday. (The vote will probably come at the end of next week unless they don’t have the votes to pass it).

I am disgusted by the deceptive tactics employed in recent days - simultaneously planning televised "bi-partisan" discussions while holding back-room meetings on how to ram ObamaCare through with no bi-partisan support. Such underhanded efforts are offensive to me and millions of Americans.

Also, as a pro-life American, I adamantly oppose any healthcare plan that will require me to pay for abortions with my tax dollars. Any government sponsored healthcare system with this mandate is bad for America and violates the deeply held beliefs of many Americans.

Its past time to scrap all the versions of ObamaCare and start over with a constitutionally correct and moral plan with far less government intrusion. I urge you to stand with a clear majority of Americans and oppose ObamaCare or any other plan containing an abortion mandate and "public option." I will be monitoring your vote on this bill.

I doubt whether they will bother making any changes or adding things afterwards. They just want it to pass, so Obama can implement his socialistic agenda and we as Americans do not want anything to do with a socialistic government.

Men and women have died for our Freedoms and our Republic. We will fight for our country. Obama and his administration needs to be “Recalled “or “Impeached”. We are not happy with his style of government period.

The Dems Are Going to Slaughter Democracy over ObamaCare

Ace of Spades posted some alarming news. Nancy Pelosi says that the Democrats are going to use the Slaughter Rule to pass the Senate ObamaCare bill and the vote is set for next week.

In case you're unfamiliar, the Slaughter Rule is named after Louise "she wore her dead sister's dentures" Slaughter and it works like this: The speaker brings a bill containing a list of changes that the House wants to make to the Senate bill to the floor for a vote. When the House members vote for and pass this list of changes to the Senate bill, the House will deem the Senate bill as passed as well, even though the Senate bill itself was never voted on to begin with.

Apparently Pelosi feels comfortable enough calling for the vote next week because she's been pretty successful peeling away enough of Stupak's bloc.

Nice, huh? The American people hate this bill so much that this is the only way Nancy Pelosi can get the bill out of the House and onto the president's desk. And if the House can get the wildly unpopular ObamaCare passed in this way, what's to stop them from doing this with every other bill that is unpopular with the American people?

I guess there are a lot of Democratic members of the House up for reelection in November who feel ready to retire.

Update: Robert Costa at The Corner has a long post about Bart Stupak and how his pro-life bloc of Democrats are going wobbly on the issue of life. It's a compelling view of the cynicism and nastiness of Washington, particularly from the Democrats who Stupak says want to fund abortions so they can better control and reduce the number of people who will need government funded health care. (Those who are inclined to get their panties in a bunch need to know this: there is a history of using abortion for controlling populations. Planned Parenthood was founded by Margaret Sanger for the express purpose of limiting certain groups of people that she felt were a drain on society and, therefore, unworthy of life.) Here's a portion of Costa's post:

Stupak notes that his negotiations with House Democratic leaders in recent days have been revealing. "I really believe that the Democratic leadership is simply unwilling to change its stance," he says. "Their position says that women, especially those without means available, should have their abortions covered." The arguments they have made to him in recent deliberations, he adds, "are a pretty sad commentary on the state of the Democratic party."

What are Democratic leaders saying? "If you pass the Stupak amendment, more children will be born, and therefore it will cost us millions more. That's one of the arguments I've been hearing," Stupak says. "Money is their hang-up. Is this how we now value life in America? If money is the issue -- come on, we can find room in the budget. This is life we're talking about."

"Throughout this debate, even when the House leaders have acknowledged us, it's always been in a backhanded way," he laments. "I'm telling the others to hold firm, and we'll meet next week, but I'm disappointed in my colleagues who said they'd be with us and now they're not. It's almost like some right-to-life members don't want to be bothered. They just want this over."

And the politics of the issue are pretty rough. "This has really reached an unhealthy stage," Stupak says. "People are threatening ethics complaints on me. On the left, they're really stepping it up. Every day, from Rachel Maddow to the Daily Kos, it keeps coming. Does it bother me? Sure. Does it change my position? No."

So, this is what the Democratic party has been reduced to: threatening to file ethics complaints against a member in order to force him to vote in a way that violates his conscience and his constituents' wishes. This is your party leadership at work, Democrats. Proud?

When I read that Stupak said the pro-lifers in his bloc "just want this over," it triggered in my mind the image of a person so ravaged and worn down by disease that he can't go on even another day. The disease has overtaken his body to the point that he knows it has beaten him and death is imminent. Now he just wants it over.

It seems the leftists in the House have worn down the weaker members of Stupak's bloc in much the same way. For many of these Democrats, their political lives are on the line because they come from more conservative districts. The pressure that Pelosi and the other House Dems have placed on them caused them to fold and now they are succumbing to what will probably result in their political deaths.

House Democrats Appear Set to Pass Senate Bill Without Even Voting on It

Republicans now expect Democrats to pass health care through the House with a trick only Capitol Hill could dream up: approving the Senate bill without voting on it.

It’s called the “Slaughter Solution” (prepare for a weekend of endless TV gabbing about it).

And after debating House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer on the chamber floor, Minority Whip Eric Cantor emerged convinced that Democrats are going to use the tactic, and that they won’t allow Republicans, and the public, to see the text of any legislation for 72 hours before a vote.

“I can infer that we’re going to see a rule that will deem the Senate bill as having passed, and at the same time not even have 72 hours to even look at what they are passing,” Cantor, a Virginia Republican, said in an interview outside his office at the Capitol.

“The outrage to me on the part of the public is going to be focused on the fact that there is not even an up or down vote, a clean up or down vote,” Cantor said.

Here’s the reason Democrats are using such a complicated procedure: many in the House completely do not trust the Senate to pass fixes to the bill passed by the Senate in December. But according to the rules of reconciliation, the House must go first in passing the Senate bill and passing a reconciliation fix.

So House Democrats have been searching for a way to alleviate members’ concerns that if they vote for the Senate bill and the Senate does nothing to fix it, they will be hung out to dry as having supported a piece of legislation that many across the country dislike, either for spending reasons, or because of special provisions like the extra money for Nebraska’s Medicaid population (the “Cornhusker kickback”).

Technically, using the “Slaughter solution,” they’ll never have voted for the bill they find odious, even if their vote on the reconciliation legislation will have been the vote that passed the Senate bill into law.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, California Democrat, alluded to all this at her weekly press conference Friday.
“There are certain assurances that they want and that we will get for them before I ask them to take a vote,” Pelosi said.

The “Slaughter solution” is named for House Rules Committee Chairman Louise Slaughter, the New York Democrat who came up with the idea. She told the Daily Caller on Thursday that the chances of her procedure being used were “pretty good.”

Despite doubt among some on Capitol Hill on whether the “Slaughter solution” was feasible, Cantor expressed no doubt that the tactic could be used.

“It’s a self-executing rule. It is akin to passage but hidden in a rule as a side-note, passing the 2,700-page, $1 trillion bill, oh by the way,” he said.

Hoyer rejected the idea that Republicans have not had enough time to review the legislation.

“You have had months to review the substance of that bill. You don’t like it. We understand. You’re going to oppose it. We understand that as well. The fact of the matter is you cannot say you have had no notice of each and every provision for over two months,” said Hoyer, a Maryland Democrat.

Cantor said he wanted 72 hours to review the final text of the reconciliation bill.

“The reconciliation bill is new text. He claims it’s old hat, but this is clearly where they’re reconciling differences,” Cantor said, expressing concern that Democrats would rush the final text to the House floor for a vote to keep “sweeteners” used to buy off votes from being discovered.

Democrats are coalescing around a schedule for the bill’s route to the House floor for a vote. They are expecting a final score from the Congressional Budget Office later today.

On Monday, the House Budget Committee will mark the bill up, leading to an expected vote in the Rules Committee on Wednesday, with a final vote by the full House possible next weekend.

The question remains, however, whether Pelosi will even be able to round up enough votes to pass a bill.
Momentum continued to go the wrong direction for her on Friday, as two more Democrats said they are opposed to the bill.

43% of all Americans strongly object to the present course  of  so-called Health Care reform and another 21% somewhat object.  That is 64% of Americans are against ObamaCare.  Only 22% strongly approve… the Washington doesn’t care.

The word is that Nancy Pelosi still does not have the votes, but they are buying off people, threatening people and arm twisting while the rules and even substance of the bill keeps changing… So the pressure from you… the people needs to be equal to or greater than that of the Democratic Leadership.  Please call your own reps and Senators as well as the Blue Dogs and Fence Sitters.

Common sense dictates that if it takes this much dishonesty and flim-flaming to pass something… there is definitely something wrong with it.
