BECK GOES GLOBAL, MEETS WITH CATHOLIC CLERGY & INTERNATIONAL TEA PARTY LEADERS IN ROME

For those who watch GBTV, you know that Beck was off for a few days on assignment.

The political discourse has been dominated by the religious liberty debate that continues to intensify between the Catholic Church and the Obama administration – an issue that Glenn Beck has tackled quite frequently on his radio and television programs. This weekend, The Blaze has confirmed that Beck flew from Miami to Rome, where he had meetings with prominent Catholic Church leaders. In addition to holding discussions with them about important religious freedom issues, Beck also met with individuals from various countries to discuss the creation of an international Tea Party movement.

During his dialogue with Cardinals, Monsignors, Archbishops and other Catholic leaders, the popular host pledged support for the church, while also discussing ways in which members of various faith communities can join in solidarity against secular attacks against religion. As evidenced through his work, Beck has long encouraged people of all faiths to stand together — distinct and separate in their beliefs — but united in their support of everyone to practice those ideals without persecution.

Additionally, Beck met with Tea Party leaders from Rome, Serbia, Milan, Germany, Austria, and London, among other localities, to begin discussing an international coalition that is being headed by FreedomWorks. Reflecting the ideals held by peace and freedom proponents in America, the persons involved discussed their goals for an integrated global effort to champion Tea Party ideals.

Be sure to listen to his radio show on Monday, as Beck will be sharing all of the details surrounding his meetings with church leaders and international Tea Party groups, while also delving into his vision for a multi-faith coalition that stands in support of religious liberty. Additionally, throughout the upcoming week, The Blaze will provide ongoing information and follow-up reports that further explain what’s to come.

These meetings with Catholic leaders are the latest in a series of discussions that Beck has had with numerous faith leaders, including evangelical pastors and rabbis, among others. His efforts to connect with these theologically diverse individuals reflect his desire to bring adherents from various faith traditions together to support religious liberty here in America and abroad.

“We are not battling for the next election, we’re battling for the very soul of each of us and of our nation,” he recently proclaimed on GBTV.

Religious liberty is becoming an issue of great importance across the globe, as Christians, Jews, Muslims and other faith traditions grapple with an increasingly hostile clash with the atheist and “freethinking” community. Additionally, governmental policies are, in many ways, beginning to mirror secularist ideals that tend, in the views of many religious peoples and institutions, to threaten spiritual expression.

The examples are limitless. Earlier this month, England’s high court found prayer before local council meetings to be unlawful, and last week Baroness Sayeeda Warsi, a Muslim who is also a British Cabinet member, maintained that Europe is being threatened by militant secularism. Considering New York City churches’ battle for the right to rent public school buildings, incessant attacks on Ten Commandment displays, and secularists’ never-ending efforts to force churches to violate their consciences, Beck’s coalition is coming at an appropriate time.

In addition to holding these meetings, Beck went to Greece in preparation for a special project he will soon be announcing. Tune in to GlennBeck.com, GBTV and The Blaze for more on these important announcements.

Dead Movement Walking: Pelosi Tries to Distance Herself and Dems from #Occupy Movement

Of course, when the #Occupy movement first arose, Pelosi and and other members of the Leftist Elite gushed with enthusiasm about the protests:

“I support the message to the establishment, whether it’s Wall Street or the political establishment and the rest, that change has to happen,” said Pelosi in an exclusive interview with ABC News “This Week” anchor Christiane Amanpour. “We cannot continue in a way this is not relevant to their lives.”

As for the Tea Party, few in Washington and none in the power elite supported them.  They are the grassroots movement and they are still alive!

Patriots of the Year – 2011

clip_image002

By: Terresa Monroe-Hamilton  -  The NoisyRoom

The Tea Party once again was shunned by major media in 2011. But they were there punching away and fighting for America under many names with millions of patriots striving to save our country and return to Constitutional principles. In virtually every city across the United States, Tea Party members got involved in local and national politics and raised their voices in unison to cry for smaller government, less debt and lower taxes.

And at the forefront were unsung fighters like Andrea Shea King of The Radio Patriot and her producer Dave Logan of ThirdWaveDave fame. Andrea and Dave are the heart and soul of the Tea Party and have fought tirelessly this last year through The Campaign to Defeat Barack Obama to further the goals of everyone’s dream – to get the Marxist-in-Chief out of the White House. Others, such as Michael Johns, also toured and spoke at rallies, working his fanny off trying to revive the Republic. Trevor Loudon traveled to the US on his own dime and spent months speaking at Tea Party rallies out of love for a country that is not his own. (By the way, did I mention New Zealand rocks?) We owe each and every person in the Tea Party a huge debt of gratitude – a few who are willing to risk it all, so that many may be free.

But alas, media propagandist Time, did not see it that way. Instead they chose aMarxist/terrorist, er, Protester as Person of the Year. In 2010, which was unwaveringly the year of the Tea Party, they didn’t mention Tea Partiers at all, even though millions protested in peace with no arrests, violence or garbage left behind. The media labeled them radicals and terrorists, which is the epitome of irony considering what the Occupiers actually are and stand for. Same for 2011 for the Tea Party – crickets. But in a move that Joseph Goebbels would have been proud of, the Occupiers grace Time’s cover this year.

clip_image004

But the joke is on Time and the rest of the MSM that are in the tank for Obama and the Progressives on both sides of the aisle. The Tea Party is growing stronger day by day even without face time. Americans recognize the US is in deep, deep doodoo and are fed up with politicians in general.

Instead they are turning towards candidates with American values such as Michele Bachmann and Rick Santorum. Voters have put Tea Party candidates in the House and Senate and that trend will only continue. The Left took a beating in 2010, but baby, you ain’t seen nothing yet. Come 2012, there’s gonna be an ass whooping of epic proportions. And guess what? That includes the RINOs on the right. Progressives on both sides of the aisle are about to have their collective bottoms spanked big time by the voters. Americans are not dumb and they’ve just about had enough. Don’t underestimate the Tea Party – they are the Progressive’s worst nightmare.

clip_image006

So, we welcome 2012 as the ‘Year of Freedom Restored in America!’ It is fitting that January is ‘Hot Tea Month.’ And honey, the Tea Party is just getting warmed up. We are taking our country back and cleaning house. We are researching and exposing all those naughty Progressives who have been so instrumental in trying to bring this great nation to her knees.

The Tea Party fought a rough and tough battle in 2011. But they’ll win the war for the Republic in 2012 if they stick to their guns and chase the corrupt bastards out of office. Whether with votes or tar and feathers, it’s going to be one hell of a ride and I would not miss it for the world.

To Whom it May Concern…

Eric Odom of Grassfire traveled with us on our recent Tea Party Express national tour. In fact, he was my “seat-mate”, sitting beside me at the small club table he commandeered as his “office”, typing away on his computer as the miles rolled by.

We shared several conversations and it was during those chats I learned that Eric is among the sharpest political analysts I’ve come across, and a connoisseur of the best tequila money can buy…

Here are Eric’s thoughts this morning.

Open Letter to the “Rich”

Posted: 16 Sep 2011 08:01 AM PDT

To Whom it May Concern,

I write this letter openly to you, my fellow Americans, who have come into extraordinary wealth via the Capitalist/Free-Market system that once flourished in our great nation. Many of you hold millions of dollars, many hold tens of millions, many hold many billions.

You might have acquired this wealth through genuine hard work, blood and sweat. You might have spent many a sleepless night fine-tuning your idea until it could be sold or manufactured. You might have concocted a string of computer code that simplified life for millions of Americans. You might have simply inherited your wealth from a family member.

Regardless of how you came into wealth, I personally wish to congratulate you. While I myself have not yet been so fortunate, I don’t in any way envy you and I’m proud to say I live in a nation where such wealth can be attained.

That said, I must admit I find myself starting to become frustrated with “most” of you on a very personal level. I know there are many wealthy Americans who refuse to prop up corrupt politicians and fund the political machine that strips our nation of its liberty. I know there are still millionaires and billionaires who won’t take part in creating the monster that now consumes all of our productivity for political gain.

Most of you, however, are taking the fruits grown through liberty and using them to feed a great beast that opposes freedom. This beast is hell-bent on destroying my right/ability to try and one day join you in financial prosperity.

I would like to share with you a few paragraphs recently quoted from the Czech Republic Observer.

The danger to America is not Barack Obama but a citizenry capable of entrusting an inexperienced man like him with the Presidency.

It will be far easier to limit and undo the follies of an Obama Presidency than to restore the necessary common sense and good judgment to a depraved electorate willing to have such a man for their President.

The problem is much deeper and far more serious than Mr. Obama, who is a mere symptom of what ails America.

Blaming the prince of the fools should not blind anyone to the vast confederacy of fools that made him their prince.

The Republic can survive a Barack Obama. It is less likely to survive a multitude of fools such as those who made him their President.

While the above words are somewhat specific to the general electorate of America, there is a greater disregard for responsibility happening within the wealthier class of Americans. Yes, the American electorate is being duped. Yes, the American electorate is being dumbed down, lied to and sold marketing campaigns instead of principled leadership.

Yes, it is the responsibility of the voters to make informed, coherent and logical decisions at the ballot box.

But, it’s YOUR money that is being used to sell the lies. It’s YOUR money that is selling the astro-turf marketing campaigns. YOU pay for the TV ads, the political mailers and the radio spots.

I get that it makes sense financially for you to continue doing so. What I don’t get is how you’ve become so short-sighted as to believe that temporary financial gain is more important than long-term solvency as a nation. Are you so greedy that you’ll throw away the future of your children and your grandchildren so that you can enjoy untold wealth for a season?

Not only are most of you playing the game, buying power and supporting criminals in Washington, you’re also refusing to tell your fellow Americans what is really going on. You sit at your mahogany desks writing checks to incumbents, knowing full well why the economy is tanking, and you completely refuse to write columns exposing the madness. You refuse to appear in public, explaining to the electorate why we’re all losing our liberty.

I know… the stock holders. I know, you have boards and committee’s to report to. I know, you have investors who want you to tell them they’re all wealthier now. I get that and I actually like that being the case. I mean, if it weren’t for the drive of profit many more millions of Americans would be unemployed. Products wouldn’t be so affordable, medications wouldn’t be available and the great American economic engine wouldn’t be as strong.

The problem occurs when you make decisions that have an effect on my rights. The problem comes into play when you fund politicians that will kill off my chance at becoming wealthy. You see, that’s when your decisions become downright malicious against the rest of us. That’s when your actions become a direct assault on the ability for anyone to prosper.

The leftists have it all wrong. They chant and rant against the “rich” for reasons that aren’t logical. They protest you because they envy you. They don’t understand that YOU create jobs and innovate in ways that drive economic success. They protest you with signs made of material YOU manufactured. They protest you wearing shoes YOU designed. They drive cars YOU built to join others in protesting you.

That doesn’t make sense and it’s why most Americans won’t join them.

That said, many of us are starting to get frustrated with you because your actions are turning you against the rest of us. I’m talking about those of us who support you and defend you in the public arena of ideas. You know, those of us who know full well you pay FAR more than your “fair share” in taxes.

We’re in your corner, but only when you’re also in ours. The moment you move over to your own corner is the moment we’re all going to start looking at you in a different light. Yes, you need to profit and prosper. I personally have great respect for profit and will never discourage it.

But don’t you dare seek it at the expense of the Constitution, my rights, our liberty and the ability for all Americans to seek financial success.

This letter isn’t about rich vs not rich, this letter is about Americans vs Americans. It’s not about class warfare, it’s about our collaborative fight to keep freedom alive.

Please, speak out about what’s really going on. Let authentic principles drive your decisions and follow that up with methods that lead to profit. Tell the American people what you see and don’t do it through a filter. Stop funding campaigns that produce corrupt politicians who work to oppose liberty.

Don’t put another penny into the beast that is destroying our nation. If you want to prosper, then make sure your targeted market is prospering as well. If you want profit, make sure I can purchase your product, and that in turn I can create a product to sell to you.

That’s what America is all about. That is the America that elevated you to financial prosperity.

Fight for it. Please?

Sincerely,

-Eric Odom

'It's Time to Take Control,' Say Tea Parties

'It's Time to Take Control,' Say Tea Parties

The energized "tea party" movement, which upended this year's political debate with noisy anti-government protests, is preparing to shake up the 2010 elections by channeling money and supporters to conservative candidates set to challenge both Democrats and Republicans.

Buoyed by their success in capsizing a moderate Republican candidate this fall in Upstate New York, tea party activists and affiliated groups are unveiling new political action committees and tactics aimed at capitalizing on conservative opposition to health-care reform, financial bailouts and other Obama administration policies. The goal is to harness the anger that led to hundreds of protests around the country from spring to fall, including a gathering of tens of thousands of protesters on the Mall in September.

The strategy poses both an opportunity and a risk for the beleaguered Republican Party, which is seeking to take advantage of conservative discontent while still fielding candidates who appeal to independent voters. Fundraising efforts are just beginning, but tea party activists have already inspired serious challenges to establishment GOP Senate candidates Carly Fiorina in California and Charlie Crist in Florida; a similar insurgency in last month's House race in New York splintered local Republicans, leading to a Democratic victory.

"It's time to take control," conservative activist Eric Odom declares on the Web site of his new political action committee, Liberty First PAC, which will "support fellow patriots looking [to] defend our liberty." Odom, who played a central role in organizing the first tea party protests this spring, says the PAC will not support incumbents of either party.

Smart Girl Politics, a conservative women's group active in getting people to tea party protests, is considering forming a PAC to steer its 23,000 members to help conservative candidates.

Another influential activist, Erick Erickson of RedState.com, plans to encourage donations to conservative challengers such as GOP Senate candidate Pat Toomey, who hopes to win the Pennsylvania seat held by Republican-turned-Democrat Arlen Specter.

And in Washington, FreedomWorks, an advocacy group that helped organize many major tea party protests, is set to announce plans this month to raise millions of dollars through a reorganized PAC targeting its 500,000 registered members, said Matt Kibbe, the group's president. Chaired by former House majority leader Richard K. Armey (R-Tex.), the group says its fundraising effort will be modeled on the Internet financing juggernaut created by Barack Obama in 2008.

"We're looking at the potential of raising small checks from a vast number of donors, just as Obama did," Kibbe said. "We've been studying everything about the Obama primary strategy, and I happen to think the tea party movement could make even the Obama grass-roots machine look obsolete."

Can the movement unite?

But Kibbe and others acknowledge that they are not near that point yet, and political experts in both parties say it is unclear if the movement can become the kind of unified force that can win, and not just disrupt, elections.

The tea party movement is splintered into hundreds of local and state-level groups that have differing rules and goals and for the most part have not participated in big-money politics. Many of the groups have been torn apart by personal feuds in recent months; one major umbrella organization, the Tea Party Patriots, has filed a lawsuit against a founding board member who signed on with a rival, the Tea Party Express.

Virginia Gov. Timothy M. Kaine, the chairman of the Democratic National Committee, said during a speech last week that the "tea party movement is savaging the GOP" and has sparked a "corrosive and consistent fight" over the party's direction.

Conservative activists vehemently disagree and argue that the movement is likely to be reenergized by the expected passage of health-care legislation and a national tea party convention in February featuring former vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin.

"For a long time there was some complacency, but now people are seeing this year what a genuinely big government can do to their economic freedoms," said Tim Phillips of Americans for Prosperity, a Washington-based group that has organized protests.

The GOP's internal debate

Publicly, Republican National Committee Chairman Michael S. Steele and other GOP leaders praise the tea party movement as a crucial component of the party's base that will help Republicans make substantial gains in 2010. But the push from the right has also worsened infighting over the GOP's course.

Exhibit A for moderates is the November special election in New York's 23rd Congressional District, where conservative outsider Doug Hoffman challenged moderate Republican Dede Scozzafava, who dropped out under pressure from Palin, the antitax Club for Growth and other conservatives. But the winner was the Democratic candidate, Bill Owens, who captured a seat that had been in Republican hands for more than a century.

In the wake of that result, Sen. John Cornyn (R-Tex.), the head of the National Republican Senatorial Committee, said it is important, in selecting candidates, to "temper our conservative approach with pragmatism."

But many conservative activists see the outcome as a demonstration of the power of grass-roots activism. "Conservatives keep saying that nobody is listening to us, and the way to get people to listen to you is to elect more conservatives," said Erickson, who advocates boycotting Cornyn's NRSC and has called "beating the Republican establishment" the top priority for 2010.

A liberal antecedent

Such rhetoric is reminiscent in some ways of that in 2005 and 2006, when liberal groups such as MoveOn.org championed their own candidates in an effort to push Democrats to the left. This year, for example, one group of conservative activists is circulating a resolution that would bar the RNC from endorsing candidates who violate more than three of 10 declared party principles.

Sen. Jim DeMint (R-S.C.), who has closely allied himself with the tea party movement, has been meeting in recent weeks with prospective conservative candidates seeking help from his leadership PAC, the Senate Conservatives Fund. The PAC, which spent less than $200,000 during the 2008 election cycle, has spent more than $1.2 million this year, including contributing $10,000 to Marco Rubio of Florida, who is running an insurgent Senate primary campaign against Crist.

Many tea party conservatives oppose Crist, the state's sitting governor, because of his support of Obama's stimulus plan. Despite the grass-roots backing, however, Rubio has raised only $1.6 million, compared with nearly $7 million raised by Crist.

Another pivotal race is in California, where Fiorina, a multimillionaire former Hewlett-Packard chief executive, is seeking the GOP nomination to challenge third-term Sen. Barbara Boxer (D-Calif.) in November.

Many tea party activists view Fiorina as too liberal and have fueled an upstart challenge by state Assemblyman Chuck DeVore, who has been active in tea party protests.

DeVore reported $144,000 on hand as of September and acknowledged in an interview that raising money against Fiorina will not be easy. "Most of her money will come from the establishment," DeVore predicted. "It's a more difficult challenge than what Hoffman had."

Glenn Beck has announced a plan to go political as well, while Sarah Palin, who is the tea partiers kind of politician, has been touring the Country promoting her book, Going Rogue, and taking on the issues that interest tea partiers as she goes.

And groups like As.A.Mom, Sisterhood of the Mommy Patriots, the 9/12 Project, Oathkeepers, to name a few, have sprung up all over the Country.

Why is the White House Attacking and Making Fun of Americans?

White House Brushes Off Health-Care Protests

By HENRY J. PULIZZI

WASHINGTON -- The White House isn't concerned that increasingly vocal protests around the country are frustrating its push for health-care legislation.

Briefing reporters Tuesday, White House spokesman Robert Gibbs suggested that the opposition is being organized by a small group seeking to create "manufactured anger."

"I hope people will take a jaundiced eye to what is clearly the AstroTurf nature of so-called grass-roots lobbying," Mr. Gibbs said.

In recent days, administration officials and Democratic members of Congress have been shouted down by angry protesters at town halls in Pennsylvania and Texas, an uproar that could grow when lawmakers return to their districts for the August recess.

Mr. Gibbs compared the protesters with the "Brooks Brothers Brigade" that he said appeared in Florida after the 2000 presidential election.

"I seem to see some commonality in who pops up at some of these things," he said, without elaborating. "You can see quite a bit of similarity between who shows up where."

While protests intensify, the White House also has stepped up its response. It reacted early Tuesday to one online video featuring clips of President Barack Obama appearing to suggest that his health-care plans would eventually replace the private insurance sector, producing its own video shooting down the claim. In the White House's video, its main health-care spokesperson, Linda Douglass, accuses opponents of taking old footage and using it out of context as a scare tactic.

"They simply cherry-pick and put it together, and make it sound like he's saying something that he didn't really say," Ms. Douglass says in the video, which can be seen on the White House's Web site.

Asked why the administration decided to respond, Mr. Gibbs said, "There's a tremendous amount of misinformation floating around on health care."

Two More Grassroots Town Hall Meetings

Dems: Town Hall Protesters Are 'Birthers,' 'Tea Baggers,' and 'Fringe'

The angry-mob style protesters who have infiltrated town halls around the country are the non-organic product of "tea-baggers," "birthers," and the conservative fringe, two Senate Democratic leaders said Tuesday.

Speaking outside the White House after meeting with President Obama, Sen. Dick Durbin of Illinois and Chuck Schumer of New York both dismissed the significance of boisterous protesters who have been interrupting Democratic lawmakers' events.

"It is a small fringe group," Schumer told the Huffington Post, "and if we let a small group of people who want to monopolize the conversation and not listen to the facts win, you may as well hang it up."

"These town hall meetings have been orchestrated by the tea baggers and the birthers to just be a free-for-alls, make a lot of noise, go on YouTube and show discord," said Durbin. "I mean that is what they are determined to do. But that is not going to accomplish what we need to accomplish: real health care reform."

The Illinois Democrat was asked later if he was worried that the protests would have the desired effect, namely persuading vulnerable lawmakers to buck the president's health care agenda. He projected calm. "Most of them are grown-ups in politics, and they know that when they look at a crowd and say: 'these folks aren't even from here' ... A handful of folks are determined to disrupt these meetings," Durbin said. "That shouldn't stop us from what most Americans want to see us doing."

The remarks made by the two Senate Democrats reflect the overall message coming from the White House and Democratic Party. Asked during the press briefing on Tuesday whether he thought the town hall protests were fabricated chaos from the insurance and private health care industry, Press Secretary Robert Gibbs responded: "Some of it is, yes."

"In fact I think you have had groups today, Conservatives for Patients Rights, that have bragged about organizing and manufacturing that anger," Gibbs said.

Why is the White House, Democratic Senators and Congressmen and radical liberals making fun of and attacking Americans?? Because they are afraid… afraid of the power of the people if they stand-up and stick together.

Do not let them marginalize you. Main Street and the American Way of Life is under attack like never before.

Grass-roots revolt in Austin, TX: “Just say no!” to Obamacare; Pennsylvanians boo Sebelius & Specter, “How can you manage health care when you can

Democrat Rep. Lloyd Doggett went home to Austin, Texas, and heard from his constituents about the planned government health care takeover.

Message: “Just say no!”

This taxpayer counterinsurgency is exactly what I talked about on the ABC This Week panel earlier today. The long, hot recess is underway. Make yourselves heard. Mark your calendars for the nationwide August 22 Recess Rally. Prepare to be demonized, of course.

And don’t let up until socialized medicine goes down:
