Are the Dems Inciting and Creating Political violence? Racial slurs? Untruths?
There most definitely has been some political violence and racial slurs over the health care debate. Remember Ken Gladney? He was the black conservative beat down by SEIU thugs while they screamed racist slurs and called him a “ni##@!.” Yeah, that was caught on video.
That isn’t the political violence and racial slurs in the news, however. The charges in the news now are about violence that hasn’t happened and slurs nobody heard.
House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer is warning that some of his Democratic colleagues are being threatened with violence when they go back to their districts — and he wants Republicans to stand up and condemn the threats.
The Maryland Democrat said more than 10 House Democrats have reported incidents of threats or other forms of harassment about their support of the highly divisive health insurance overhaul vote. Hoyer emphasized that he didn’t have a specific number of threats and that was just an estimate.
Here, let me translate that for you.
“…more than 10 house Democrats…” Translation: “Eleven.”
“…threats or other forms of harassment…” Translation: “…threats to vote against them or unwanted phone calls from angry constituents…”
“…didn’t have a specific number of threats and that was just an estimate.” Translation: “…is just making this stuff up and doesn’t want to be pinned down,.”
What’s the best why to smear your opponent in America? You depict them to be violent racists. That is what Hoyer is doing here. He is terrified of the Tea Party Movement and wants desperately to marginalize it as an organization of dangerous bigots. If you have ever been to a Tea Party event, however, you know that Stoney is just stoking the fires of hate and propaganda.
If Hoyer was worried about political violence and racial slurs, he would have condemned the attack on Ken Gladney. After all, that was a real attack and those were actual slurs. Real attacks and actual slurs are far more dangerous and despicable than the fictional attacks and imaginary slurs used by Hoyer to stir up hatred and fear.
