Taxation: The People's Business by Melon (hard to find)

After having a Muslim in the WH how practiced Black Liberation Theology for years and won’t own up to either… I can’t imagine being a Mormon, Catholic or Jew can ever be an issue again!

And with the evidence of the leftist Progressive  ‘Journolist’ group who have been exposed as purposely demonizing Sarah Palin, the information in this book is substantiated.  As Sarah Palin said in and interview with Chris Wallace, “If I actually on knew me by what is written and presented about… I wouldn’t like me either!”  she was Quaylanized (lie VP Dan Quayle)… now known as Palinized by the media.

Author: Judeo-Christian Values Attacked on All Sides

By: John Rossomando

America’s Judeo-Christian ethic is the foundation for many of the nation’s ideals, but it is facing unprecedented assaults from popular culture, books, and government, author David Brog tells Newsmax.TV.
President Barack Obama does little to defuse the situation, says Brog, executive director of Christians United for Israel.

“It doesn’t take much digging to see the assault,” says Brog, who details the battering in his book In Defense of Faith: The Judeo-Christian Idea and the Struggle for Humanity “We’ve had a wave of books severely critical of faith: Christopher Hitchens’ ‘God Is Not Great’; Richard Dawkins’ ‘The God Delusion’; and Sam Harris’ ‘The End of Faith.’  Read Full Article

Conservative Children’s Books: Keeping Young Minds Open to New Ideas

Taking back our country begins with taking back the minds of our kids from leftist propaganda.
Like so many parents, I have agonized over the changing political climate, the degradation of morals, and the loss of liberty that the nation has been experiencing for quite some time. I’ve watched as our children have become more violent, while our educational standards plummet. And I can’t seem to shake the creepy echoing in my head of children singing Obama praises to the tunes of “Jesus Loves Me” and “The Battle Hymn of the Republic.”

American kids are constantly bombarded by the ideologies of the left, from pop culture to the public school system. Take, for instance, The Story of Stuff, an anti-capitalism video shown in schools around the country. This video teaches students that it is the government’s job to take care of you and that the United States is essentially the Big Bad Wolf of the world.

Or take a look at some grade school literature like Heather Has Two Mommies: 10th Anniversary Edition (Alyson Wonderland), a story about Heather, a child of artificial insemination being raised by lesbian lovers. Not only is there no “daddy” in the story, but no male role model is present anywhere within the book. Of course, the daddy-is-not-necessary message ignores the overwhelming statistics that children who grow up in homes without a father are twice as likely to drop out of school, and multiple times more likely to commit suicide or end up in prison.

Another grade school book straight from the propaganda mill (this one is actually written by the director of Magic Propaganda Mill Books) is It’s Just a Plant: A Children’s Story of Marijuana. In this tale for our children, “Jackie” walks in on her parents smoking pot, only to have her mother take her to visit “Farmer Bob,” who tells her that marijuana is smoked by “doctors, teachers, artists, actors, even mayors and presidents,” and that it makes people “feel happy.” I’m still waiting for the release of a sequel to this book — maybe Jackie’s a Junkie and That’s Okay or Crystal Meth: Snorting a Little Battery Acid Never Hurt Anyone.

The point is one doesn’t have to look far to see the power special interest groups have over our youth, and it is apparent that conservatives are losing the battle for our children. As our nation becomes more radical, we have a responsibility to teach our children the other side — the right side.

Now, I’m not suggesting indoctrination, as perpetrated by the radical left; nor do I appreciate propaganda from any part of the political spectrum. We need to focus on patriotism, not politics.

After searching for some time for conservative children’s books that would speak to the heart of my four-year-old daughter, I began writing a series of books myself. The first in the series is Melontown Gets a New Mayor: A Children's Book of Traditional American Values, a story of liberty, self-empowerment, and the problems created when we let the government get too big.
My intended goal in publishing the book is for it to act as a counterbalance to the public education propaganda. There is a growing need for more tools that parents can use at home to teach their young children traditional American values of small government and self-reliance — values that are ignored in the schools. Even the youngest readers are capable of learning about the ideas of free markets, American exceptionalism, and the power of hard work. But it is up to us to create the tools of teaching.

There is a lot of focus right now on restoring our country to the vision of our Founding Fathers. But taking back our country means more than taking back Congress and the presidency — it means taking back our children. It means a complete restructuring of the liberal foundation on which our educational system has been built and supporting those working for education reform. If we do not take back our children we will only be fighting this fight again and again.

The need for conservative children’s literature could not be timelier. As John Adams said, “It should be your care, therefore, and mine, to elevate the minds of our children and exalt their courage; to accelerate and animate their industry and activity; to excite in them a habitual contempt of meanness, abhorrence of injustice and inhumanity, and an ambition to excel in every capacity, faculty, and virtue. If we suffer their minds to grovel and creep in infancy, they will grovel all their lives.”

“Children are the future” and “education is the answer” are not just catchphrases. We need to embrace them with the same vigor with which we oppose issues like government-run health care and increasing federal deficits. If we are successful in our opposition, it is through our children that we guarantee the changes we make today will matter tomorrow.

News Alert - from The Wall Street Journal

Barnes & Noble has put itself up for sale, struggling amid a changing landscape for book sales.

The nation's largest bookstore chain announced that it was reviewing strategic alternatives and ways to boost shareholder value.

Chairman Leonard Riggio said he will consider the possibility of putting together an investor group to acquire the company, which had a market value of slightly above $700 million as of Tuesday’s close.

The worst thing that we can let happen is allow book stores to vanish, old books to be destroyed, libraries to be closed and all our reading materials and history to be put online and in digital form.

The written word is forever, a printed book or handwritten journal or letters cannot be destroyed or altered with the stroke of a key on a computer keyboard by people with sinister agendas.

Our history has been re-written and then the newest version has been  taught to our children to change their beliefs, their morality, our history and both control and narrow their thinking.  Luckily there are still sources to be found of the truth in printed form… Each one of us must join the cause to save original sources.

Help save and restore the truth: Start some private libraries with discarded and donated books (great projects for 9/12 and tea party groups as well as individual patriots, volunteer at the local public library so they don’t have to close due to budget constraints; collect books at home; insist that your bookstore and their chain carry books from all perspectives (many chains owned by liberal progressives hide Beck or Palin books and a lot of others in the back or even off the floor… or don’t carry them at all); donate old and original sourced books to Beck and other Conservative Private collectors who will preserve the knowledge; try to buy hardcover books whenever possible and create a permanent family library;  scan in original source materials and whole books if you can and then burn them to discs, print out copies and store them offline as well as on your computer; purchase and give books as gifts so that there is a financial incentive to keep printing them;  start ‘reading time’ with your kids and grandkids; make yourself read at lead 30-minutes a day, even if you don’t think you like to read; insist that your children’s high school (all public schools) and colleges do not allow their teachers and professors to subscribe to programs where they can edit the outrageously expensive textbooks online to reflect their own agenda and perspective, which is happening daily all over our Country!

Do you know what Freedom is?

Keep Thinkin Maybe We Should Put Something In The Constitution In Case We Elect A Freakin' Moron
Common Sense, The Rights of Man and ... Fought For by our Founding Fathers

A special commentary from United States Senator Jim DeMint

A few months ago, I was on CNN talking about the future of the Republican Party. As I always do, I predicted that we could certainly regain our national majority, if we first rally around our great, unifying principle of freedom. The anchor cut me off: “What the h--- does that mean? … Freedom?”

Anyone wondering why America is losing its freedom can find an answer in that question. After all, how can we preserve and defend freedom if we don’t even know what it is? To help remind Americans of our shared heritage of freedom and to rally them to reclaim that heritage for ourselves and our children, I wrote a book, out this week, called Saving Freedom: We Can Stop America’s Slide Toward Socialism.

Freedom is not a gift from government, but a right given to us by God. We believe that every human being is endowed with “certain unalienable Rights,” including “Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness.” In 1787, our Founding Fathers met in Philadelphia to forge a new system of government, designed to “form a more perfect union” and guarantee Americans, in the words of Ronald Reagan, “the maximum of personal liberty consistent with order.”
Paramount among the reasons this system succeeded in America was our political and religious culture that accepted the inextricable connection between personal freedom and personal responsibility. It was understood that, for every question in life not answered by government, individuals, families, and neighborhoods must work out answers for themselves. The Founders knew that the natural order of things was for government to expand at the expense of personal liberty, so their Constitution was based on an implicit bargain – the less government does for you, the less government can do to you.

Today, our once-limited federal government has betrayed those founding principles. It tries to be all things to all people, yet despite its good intentions, government action usually does more harm than good. Look around: every system Washington touches – health care, education, energy, infrastructure, mortgage lending – quickly begins to break down. In some recent cases, including the automobile bankruptcies and the Wall Street bailouts, even the rule of law itself has been subordinated to the good intentions of politicians and bureaucrats. And yet government’s solution to the problems it causes is always … more government. To solve problems created by government’s role in our schools or health care, Congress now proposes a complete federal takeover of these systems!

What Washington refuses to understand is that government systems will always fail because they are not free. Private schools perform better than public schools. Private health insurance provides better care than government programs, and controls its own costs. And on and on. Without the competitive pressures and transparency of a free market, government agencies have no motivation to improve their services. After 10 years in Washington, I have concluded that both parties are slow to recognize this one simple fact: freedom works, and government doesn’t.

That’s why I wrote Saving Freedom. Washington simply will not change on its own. To change our politics, we first have to change our culture. We need to remember that freedom demands responsibility. We need to reject politicians who promise us something for nothing, and instead take back both our freedoms and the responsibilities that go with them. We must not only end our growing dependence on government; we must become independent in our own right.

Given the space and choices to make our own decisions, whether in education, health care, civil society, or in business – the American people will thrive, as they always have. But the political class in Washington will not easily return the power it has taken from us – we must take it back, in two ways.
First, we must remake America’s culture of responsibility: in our family life, in our communities, and in our businesses. We must prepare our nation for its rebirth of freedom, so that when government finally does begin to change, our culture and economy can hit the ground running.

And second, this cultural renewal must assert itself in the political arena. Elected politicians are only as unresponsive as their constituents allow. They know that every letter and email and phone call represents hundreds more just like them. They know that Big Government’s worst enemy is an informed citizenry, ready at the next election to punish anyone who infringes on our God-given and constitutionally-guaranteed freedoms. Get involved, and I promise – we will see results.

Freedom can be saved, but it can’t free itself. Like the patriots of Bunker Hill and Philadelphia, of Gettysburg and Normandy, our generation must now take up that banner for ourselves. Saving Freedom is never easy, but it’s always worth it. Please read Saving Freedom and join the fight!
