PLEASE HELP STOP THEM FROM GETTING THE 60 VOTES FOR CLOTURE TODAY. STOPPING THIS IS CRITICAL IN STOPPING OBAMACARE! IT IS OUR BEST AND EASIEST HURDLE TO STOP THIS!!
The Senate is expected to vote at 8PM EST today, Saturday, on whether to take up the legislation Healthcare Legislation (vote for cloture). The majority leader, Harry Reid, Democrat of Nevada, refused to say whether he had the 60 votes needed to clear that procedural hurdle, but it is believed that he is within a couple of votes.
Today is step one of a series of the most important votes and fight of our lives!!! Take the time for your kids!
After this this will only need 51 votes and 97% of bills that pass this point ultimately pass and become law.
PLEASE FAX, CALL AND EMAIL AS MANY SENATORS TODAY, AS YOU CAN, BUT DEFINITELY CONTACT:
YOUR STATE’S SENATORS – Thank them for their no votes if they are Republicans
SENATOR BLANCHE LINCOLN - (D-AR) 202-224-4843 & Fax (202) 228-1371 - Still Undecided – Tell her we need her to do the right thing and to please vote “NO” today… Don’t sell out the American People… Please!
SENATOR BEN NELSON - (D-NE) 202-224-6551 & Fax: 1-202-228-0012 - Says He will vote YES for Cloture but Probably No later… He needs to vote No today Tell him not to do a Kerry… Remember “Well, I voted yes on the war, but then voted no” This is an even more important vote than the war and we need him to vote “NO” today, or he will be unseated!
SENATOR MARY LANDRIEU - (D-LA) (202) 224-5824 & (202) 224-9735 fax - Landrieu told everyone yesterday afternoon she was still undecided and reading the bill – Tell her we will make sure she is unseated if she votes yes today on cloture and that we know she is taking a bribe!
SENATOR BARBARA BOXER (MY SENATOR) – (D-CA) 202 224-3553 & (202) 224-0454 fax - The American people and people of California have had enough! We expect you to vote for the good and the will of you constituency!! Vote NO today… or we will vote NO when it is time for your reelection… or sooner!

(then we found out that she was bought off with a 100 million dollar deal for her state… for her vote)
AS MANY DEMOCRATIC SENATORS AS YOU CAN!!
If you have time call and fax more of them!! I saw a survey recently that said: 1 Fax equals... 10 Calls Equals... 100 Emails. I say lets do it all if we can! Fax, Call and Email everybody if you can, but at least Nelson, Lincoln and your own state's Senators!! -

---------------
SAMPLE LETTER/FAX
Dear Senator ______________,
I urge you to vote “NO” to cloture today and stop this bill from proceeding! Junk this bill!!!
I am normally in favor of debate, but the American People all know what is going on these days on the Hill and that if this bill goes through with 60 votes Harry Reid and the other liberals in the Senate will pass this bill with the help of the White House using arm twisting, bribes and by the illegal method of reconciliation… needing only 51 votes to pass this type of bill . A bill that the American people don’t want.
“Please vote no” and encourage your fellow Senators like Ben Nelson, Mary Landrieu, Blanche Lincoln and other moderates who are being pressured to join you in doing the right thing!
We all know that 97% of the bills that pass the cloture vote phase are ultimately passed and signed into law. Nobody has the votes to make enough changes to make this bill palatable to the American People… or turn it into an actual healthcare reform bill, instead of a revenue generating power grab at the expense of the people you represent, so there is no reason for debate or further review. The more review the angrier Americans will become!
The American people will not stand for another John Kerry excuse like: “Well, I voted yes on the war, but then I voted no” This is an even more important vote than the war and we need you to vote “NO” today, to the right thing, or you will be unseated!
We also know that many Senators have been bought off… Mary Landrieu told the American people just yesterday on national TV that she was still reading the bill and was undecided… Now we all know she was bought off with a deal of $100 million dollars for her state, in exchange for her vote on this bill. In the real world that is called a bribe!
I am a member of several large and powerful national organizations and am also a blogger as well as part of a blogging circle. Looking at the official polls, polls within my sphere of influence and after talking to everyone I know, which is a group comprised of Democrats, Conservatives, Liberals, Republicans, Libertarians and some totally non-political people… the large overwhelming majority do not want this bill or any version of ObamaCare!!
The chant from all corners is: “KILL THIS BILL AND THEN START OVER WITH HONEST BIPARTISAN HEALTHCARE REFORM”
The percentage of people who support any of the bills that are floating around varies between 29 and 32% and are dropping daily. The percentage of people who disapprove of all the bills that are floating around varies between 51 and 54%, but in many areas the people against ObamaCare is 2 to 1, and disapproval is rising as well.
Most people favor incremental healthcare reform which includes:
Tort reform; Fraud reform; Portable health insurance; Deficit neutral solutions; Sensible cuts; Spending Accounts that allow roll-overs into 401 K’s for unspent amounts… and other sensible measures
They also want:
No tax increases to cover this so-called reform; No governmental funds for abortions; No coverage of Illegal aliens, only American citizens and legal residents; No over-seer that gets between patients and their doctors (i.e. death panels); No government-run public option, single payer or trigger of any kind… no matte what you call it; and no electronic healthcare records of any kind, let alone ones with access ability to people’s financial records or placed on micro-chips in our bodies or any of the other Big Brother items in all these bills or hidden in bills already passed!!!
I/we will make sure that Senators that vote yes today for cloture or help get this billed passed in any way will lose re-election or be impeached. We are angry and tired of being ignored!!!!!!!
(Your Name) An American Mom/An American Dad/A Patriot… or whatever you feel
-------------
74% of voters rate the quality of health care they now receive as good or excellent and they know their coverage will be worse and more expensive after ObamaCare passes and even worse when they reach old age under the new system. The also fear all the intrusive stipulations and measures added into the bills; many of which we haven’t even found or realized yet. And these voters realize that the increase in the deficit, increased taxes and reduction in freedoms certainly makes no sense in any time, but especially in today’s economic climate, and in the end there will still be millions uninsured! Rasmussen Poll….

Many of the people who favor government controlled (socialized) heathcare still won’t have coverage after we destroy the present system while upping our costs, taxes and debt… And many who support ObamaCare are not regular voters… For those of us who are, God forbid that this disastrous program passes… but let us make sure we do remember come election day, who supported this bill and who supported us!
Note there are provisions in the Constitution for the Federal Government to make anyone buy healthcare, just as there are no provisions the Constitution for the Federal Government to collect Federal Income Tax. Ding Ding Ding… There are provisions for impeachment, recalls, judicial reviews and for the courts to over turn unconstitutional laws… unless the court is packed with radicals, another Ding Ding Ding…

A Picture That Says It All
For any of you who still had doubt that the radicals in the White House were in bed the radical progressives on The Hill… Behold
This is not the photo of joy after passing a HC Bill… (that can still be over-turned or changed by the Senate).
It is a photo of the pure (evil) joy of being on the way to remaking America… after having passed step two (the House has already passed a Cap and Trade Bill) and with step three (the bankrupting of America well on its way), a process of completely changing America… into a place that no patriotic red blooded American would ever want to live… nor will their children and grandchildren ever have the choice to be able to live as the free Americans, as envisioned by Heroes for Freedom inspired by God, paid for with the blood of young American Patriots throughout our history, and guaranteed with a Bill of Rights given to us by our Founding Fathers and taken from us, bit by bit… bill by bill… over the past 80 years by and because of a long list including our own choice to be oblivious and comfortable instead of vigilant…
And I don’t know about you… but these are not the people I want planning and enforcing my or America’s future!!

PelosiCare Has Nowhere to Go - Key Senator Will Block House Health Bill
Senate Leaders: Pelosicare Is "Dead On Arrival
WASHINGTON — The glow from a health care triumph faded quickly for President Barack Obama on Sunday as Democrats realized the bill they fought so hard to pass in the House has nowhere to go in the Senate.
Speaking from the Rose Garden about 14 hours after the late Saturday vote, Obama urged senators to be like runners on a relay team and "take the baton and bring this effort to the finish line on behalf of the American people."
The problem is that the Senate won't run with it. The government health insurance plan included in the House bill is unacceptable to a few Democratic moderates who hold the balance of power in the Senate.
If a government plan is part of the deal, "as a matter of conscience, I will not allow this bill to come to a final vote," said Sen. Joe Lieberman, the Connecticut independent whose vote Democrats need to overcome GOP filibusters.
"The House bill is dead on arrival in the Senate," Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., said dismissively.
Democrats did not line up to challenge him. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., has yet to schedule floor debate and hinted last week that senators may not be able to finish health care this year.
Nonetheless, the House vote provided an important lesson in how to succeed with less-than-perfect party unity, and one that Senate Democrats may be able to adapt. House Democrats overcame their own divisions and broke an impasse that threatened the bill after liberals grudgingly accepted tougher restrictions on abortion funding, as abortion opponents demanded.
In Senate, the stumbling block is the idea of the government competing with private insurers. Liberals may have to swallow hard and accept a deal without a public plan in order to keep the legislation alive. As in the House, the compromise appears to be to the right of the political spectrum.
Republican Sen. Olympia Snowe of Maine, who voted for a version of the Senate bill in committee, has given the Democrats a possible way out. She's proposing to allow a government plan as a last resort, if after a few years premiums keep escalating and local health insurance markets remain in the grip of a few big companies. This is the "trigger" option.
That approach appeals to moderates such as Sen. Mary Landrieu, D-La. "If the private market fails to reform, there would be a fallback position," Landrieu said last week. "It should be triggered by choice and affordability, not by political whim."
Lieberman said he opposes the public plan because it could become a huge and costly entitlement program. "I believe the debt can break America and send us into a recession that's worse than the one we're fighting our way out of today," he said.
For now, Reid is trying to find the votes for a different approach: a government plan that states could opt out of.
The Senate is not likely to jump ahead this week on health care. Reid will keep meeting with senators to see if he can work out a political formula that will give him not only the 60 votes needed to begin debate, but the 60 needed to shut off discussion and bring the bill to a final vote.
Toward the end of the week, the Congressional Budget Office may report back with a costs and coverage estimate on Reid's bill, which he assembled from legislation passed by the Finance Committee and the Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Committee. The Finance Committee version does not include a government plan.
Reid has pledged to Obama that he will get the bill done by the end of the year and remains committed to doing that, according to a Senate leadership aide.
Both the House and Senate bills gradually would extend coverage to nearly all Americans by providing government subsidies to help pay premiums. The measures would bar insurers' practices such as charging more to those in poor health or denying them coverage altogether.
All Americans would be required to carry health insurance, either through an employer, a government plan or by purchasing it on their own.
To keep down costs, the government subsidies and consumer protections don't take effect until 2013. During the three-year transition, both bills would provide $5 billion in federal dollars to help get coverage for people with medical problems who are turned down by private insurers.
Both House and Senate would expand significantly the federal-state Medicaid health program for low-income people.
The majority of people with employer-provided health insurance would not see changes. The main beneficiaries would be some 30 million people who have no coverage at work or have to buy it on their own. The legislation would create a federally regulated marketplace where they could shop for coverage.
The are several major differences between the bills.
—The House would require employers to provide coverage; the Senate does not.
—The House would pay for the coverage expansion by raising taxes on upper-income earners; the Senate uses a variety of taxes and fees, including a levy on high-cost insurance plans.
—The House plan costs about $1.2 trillion (true full cost has been estimated as high as 2.4 trillion) over 10 years; the Senate version is under $900 billion.
By defusing the abortion issue — at least for now — the House may have helped the long-term prospects for the bill. Catholic bishops also eager to expand society's safety net may yet endorse the final legislation.
Lieberman appeared on "Fox News Sunday," while Graham was CBS' "Face the Nation.”

ALERT ALERT ALERT
ALERT ALERT ALERT
Call your Congressmember RIGHT NOW to oppose Pelosi's HR 3962
If there is anyone left out there who thinks this is not their fight or doesn’t matter… Think again!!!!!!!!!
Right now, Democrats in the United States House of Representatives are meeting and trying to push through Nancy Pelosi's government "health care" bill, HR 3962.
The latest terrible fact to come out is that families that don't comply with Pelosi's plan will be subject to huge fines or jail time.
PELOSI: Buy a $15,000 Policy or Go to Jail
JCT Confirms Failure to Comply with Democrats’ Mandate Can Lead to 5 Years in Jail
Friday, November 06, 2009
Today, Ranking Member of the House Ways and Means Committee Dave Camp (R-MI) released a letter from the non-partisan Joint Committee on Taxation (JCT) confirming that the failure to comply with the individual mandate to buy health insurance contained in the Pelosi health care bill (H.R. 3962, as amended) could land people in jail. The JCT letter makes clear that Americans who do not maintain “acceptable health insurance coverage” and who choose not to pay the bill’s new individual mandate tax (generally 2.5% of income), are subject to numerous civil and criminal penalties, including criminal fines of up to $250,000 and imprisonment of up to five years.
In response to the JCT letter, Camp said: “This is the ultimate example of the Democrats’ command-and-control style of governing – buy what we tell you or go to jail. It is outrageous and it should be stopped immediately.”
Key excerpts from the JCT letter appear below:
“H.R. 3962 provides that an individual (or a husband and wife in the case of a joint return) who does not, at any time during the taxable year, maintain acceptable health insurance coverage for himself or herself and each of his or her qualifying children is subject to an additional tax.” [page 1]
- - - - - - - - - -“If the government determines that the taxpayer’s unpaid tax liability results from willful behavior, the following penalties could apply…” [page 2]
- - - - - - - - - -“Criminal penalties
Prosecution is authorized under the Code for a variety of offenses. Depending on the level of the noncompliance, the following penalties could apply to an individual:
• Section 7203 – misdemeanor willful failure to pay is punishable by a fine of up to $25,000 and/or imprisonment of up to one year.
• Section 7201 – felony willful evasion is punishable by a fine of up to $250,000 and/or imprisonment of up to five years.” [page 3]
When confronted with this same issue during its consideration of a similar individual mandate tax, the Senate Finance Committee worked on a bipartisan basis to include language in its bill that shielded Americans from civil and criminal penalties. The Pelosi bill, however, contains no similar language protecting American citizens from civil and criminal tax penalties that could include a $250,000 fine and five years in jail.
“The Senate Finance Committee had the good sense to eliminate the extreme penalty of incarceration. Speaker Pelosi’s decision to leave in the jail time provision is a threat to every family who cannot afford the $15,000 premium her plan creates. Fortunately, Republicans have an alternative that will lower health insurance costs without raising taxes or cutting Medicare,” said Camp.
According to the Congressional Budget Office the lowest cost family non-group plan under the Speaker’s bill would cost $15,000 in 2016.
Committee On Ways & Means Republicans Ranking Member, Dave Camp
Please pick up the phone. Because, unless you and millions of Americans call right now to oppose HR 3962, this very bad bill could be approved Saturday or Sunday.
PLEASE TAKE IMMEDIATE ACTION
Call the U.S. Capitol switchboard day or night at 202-224-3121 to provide your zip code to be connected to your representative's office.
Click this link to call your U.S. Representative by name. It is strategic for you to call BOTH the Capitol office AND the local district office of your representative.
Tell your United States Representative's office staff, "Please tell the Representative to vote NO on the government healthcare takeover. Vote NO on abortion funding, whether it is directly or indirectly funded by taxpayers. Vote NO on HR 3962."
WHAT IS WRONG WITH HR 3962
Tom Winter, editor of Human Events, describes the threat of Obama/Reid/PelosiCare:
"…this monstrous, evil plan must be stopped. If Obamacare passes...
MEDICARE WILL BE SLASHED. To pay for his government healthcare behemoth, Obama admits he'll have to cut $500 billion from Medicare. How can he chop that much without reducing medical services to seniors? He can't. It's fiscally impossible. Medicare services will have to be cut.
YOU'LL LOSE YOUR CURRENT COVERAGE. Truth is, Obama's plan is designed to eliminate employer coverage. He's acknowledged it, but only to fellow liberals. When the "public option" forces private insurers out of the market, odds are you'll be shoved into a government plan.
YOU'LL LOSE YOUR CURRENT DOCTOR. Once the government plan is reality and you've been forced to participate, it's a virtual certainty you'll lose your doctor. In fact, the more skilled your physician is, the more likely he or she will shun working for the government. Obamacare won't take your doctor away. Obamacare will drive your doctor away.
ILLEGALS WILL GET FREE HEALTHCARE. Despite what Obama says, none of the Democratic bills prohibits coverage for illegal aliens and all Republican attempts to exclude such coverage for illegals have been rejected.
OBAMACARE WILL BANKRUPT AMERICA. Universal healthcare will add at least $1 trillion to the already mind-boggling deficit. Obama claims "eliminating waste and fraud" will save money -- a laughable assertion, since when has the government ever decreased its spending? In the end, Obama will slash Medicare and raise taxes, pleading he had no choice.
OBAMACARE WILL PAY FOR ABORTIONS. Obama calls this a "lie." But all Democratic plans call for payments for "reproductive services," a well-known euphemism for abortion. Plus, Obama's minions in Congress have rebuffed all amendments prohibiting coverage for abortions. You be the judge. What are the Democrats trying to hide?
PRO-ABORTION, PRO-DEATH
A few dozen pro-life Democrats in Congress are on the edge about taxpayer dollars paying for abortions and pro-death consultations, which, no matter what you've heard, are still in HR 3962.
HR 3962 contains two clear end-of-life provisions -- including one that requires insurance companies to distribute advance directives and other planning tools to all who are insured on the new government-run exchange. These advance directives, by default, deny patients food and water if they become unconscious, just like California's government-drafted living wills. (This is why you need the protection of the pro-life "Will to Live.")
The other provision allows Medicare reimbursement for optional end-of-life planning consultation, which claims to ban "assisted suicide," but does not prohibit "palliative sedation," which leads death by dehydration.
ABORTION FUNDING IN HR 3862
HR 3962 explicitly allows federal funding of abortion through the public option, and permit federal subsidies to go to private insurance plans that cover abortion.
According to House Republican Leader John Boehner, the government-run health care bill being considered in Congress would include "a monthly abortion premium ... [to] be charged of all enrollees in the government-run plan."
Boehner states, "Section 213 [of the bill] describes the process in which the Health Benefits Commissioner is to assess the monthly premiums that will be used to pay for elective abortions under the government-run plan. The Commissioner must charge at a minimum 1$ per enrollee per month."
THE ELLSWORTH DECEPTION
Unfortunately, a fake pro-life amendment by Democrat Brad Ellsworth of Indiana is being pushed to try to round up votes from "pro-life Democrats."
The National Life to Life Committee is exposing the abortion funding in HR 3962:
To read NRLC's November 2 letter to U.S. House members, explaining in detail the pro-abortion problems with the bill, click here. To read NRLC's statement on the phony "Ellsworth Amendment" that Pelosi is using to undercut the real pro-life amendment, click here.
As LifeNews.com reports:
However, pro-life groups across the country say Ellsworth's proposal is a sham. Douglas Johnson, legislative director for the National Right to Life Committee, says House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and the Obama administration are desperately trying to undercut Congressman Bart Stupak (D-Michigan) and other pro-lifers who want to pass an amendment barring abortion funding.
"How do they do that? By coming up with some phony baloney language and finding some pro-life guy who's willing to play along and be the front man," explains Johnson. "And unfortunately Mr. Ellsworth has been drawn into that role."
Johnson says Ellsworth's amendment not only keeps abortion in the bill, but it also adds insult to injury.
"He actually writes…he would write into the bill a provision where the federal Secretary of Health would have to pay a private contractor to make the payments to the abortionists. Now, that's a money laundering scheme," he contends. "It's still the federal government, the federal government taking federal government money and paying the abortionists for abortion on demand, and somehow he thinks that they can claim it's not the federal government if the federal official has to hire somebody to deliver the payment."
johnson is urging Americans who do not want the government creating a large new abortion program to call Congressman Ellsworth and let him know they are not fooled by his "political hoax." http://www.ellsworth.house.gov/

111 New Federal Bureaucracies Created by Pelosi Health Care Bill
Here's the list, per a release from Rep. Mike Pence's office. My personal favorite -- #108, the "Program for treatment of child sexual abuse victims and perpetrators." Personally, I kind of like Gov. Jindal's program for the treatment of child sexual abuse perpetrators. I am curious, though, as to what Pelosi has in mind.
Maybe Republicans ought to move to strike the "and perpetrators" part of that program?

America has 3-days to figure out that there is nothing about ObamaCare (PelosiCare or HarryCare) that has anything to do with healthcare reform or anything to do with helping the American people, cutting costs, improving care or in insuring everyone. It is all about controlling more of the American Economy that used to pretty much be part of the private sector and grabbing power… Please, wake up America… this bill is one of those Liberty or Tyranny moments as Rep Bachmann said and as the House Minority Leader, John Boehner is warning us about.
If you can possible do it… get to Washington D.C. Thursday and meet at the Capital steps at noon… or go for Wednesday and Thursday November 4th & 5th.
Did you know that approx 800 additional pages in pork and amendments will be added to that bill before the vote?
Did you know that the GOP has present 50-alternative healthcare bills that were not even considered; the Dems have locked out the GOP from and any deliberation on this bill and the White House has refused to meet with any Republicans, even the trained doctors in the House and Senate, since last Thursday? Then, over the weekend they were told they could now present an alternative before the vote…? Yah Right…
Does this sound like anyone is interested in real reform, your healthcare or anything positive?
The HC Bill has been online since last Thursday nite and reviews of what is in that bill are everywhere… and it isn’t good for America, for you or your family.
See you in Washington DC on Thursday… If you can’t, gather in protest at your representative or Senator’s local office and/or please flood the capital switchboard all week and especially between 11:45 and 1:00PM on Thursday. Then back up those calls with calls to your Congress people’s local offices and emails and faxes to both offices.

The only people who are telling you that there are good things in this bill or program are people who haven’t read the bill or have drunk from the Progressive Liberal Kool Aid…
Message to Congress:
“Hands off our Healthcare! We will work to unseat or impeach everyone who votes for ObamaCare!!
Junk this entire bill and we will start over after the 2010 or 2012 Elections with bipartisan and real reform!!
The elderly Seniors need to realize what the Obama Health Care Plan is really all about
Stand-up America. Someday your children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren will ask you what you were doing when this was going!?!

Just Received this same list from My Congressman, the Honorable John Campbell who is great at updating his constituents weekly or more!
Thanks to the House Republican Conference, I have included a list of names of these proposed new bureaucratic entities along with the corresponding page numbers.
Click Here to Read all 1,990 pages.
Same 111 Point list, so it is making the rounds from Congressman to Congressman as well... Don't let them tell you that they didn't know!!
Today’s edition of the Wall Street Journal has a scathing editorial of the legislation introduced by Speaker Pelosi. It notes the creation of a new ‘Health Choices Commissioner’ that will decide “essential benefits” which all insurers will have to offer. This sounds like something straight out of Aldous Huxley’s, A Brave New World or George Orwell’s, 1984.
Until next time, I remain respectfully,
Congressman John Campbell
Member of Congress
