Video: Michele Bachmann Announces She Will Not Run Again In 2014
Michele Bachmann has announced that she will not be running for re-election in 2014.
Every American should be saddened at this announcement, no matter what your politics, because she is an honorable, tough, courageous and principled person and you always know what she thinks… a breath of fresh air in politics on their side of the aisle.
Joshua Pundit: The usual jackasses will bray and cavort, since they've hated her for years. After all, it's what they do, and it certainly doesn't concern me and I doubt it concerns Rep. Bachmann.
But if you listen carefully to what she's saying and how she phrases things, I don't think we've heard the last of her at all. And that is a very good thing, seeing how we need honest and courageous public servants.
She could be planning a run for the Senate, and not necessarily as a Republican. Given the ongoing war by the RINO establishment against conservative Republicans and the mancrush between Chris Christie and President Obama, I wouldn't be at all surprised if the 2016 match up featured Chris Christie as 'a new type of Democrat' after a party switch versus Jeb Bush for the Republicans.
If that happens, rest assured you'll see a credible third party emerge as the GOP fades away like the Whigs.
Is she the latest victim of an IRS-type-gate or is she just tired?!?
Mark Steyn’s homage for Michele Bachmann on the EIB:
"Michele Bachmann is like a lot of successful Republican women. She took a ton of heat about everything. There's something about successful Republican women that so-called liberal feminists seem to absolutely loathe." -Steyn

TheBlaze/TV: Before dawn on Wednesday morning, Congresswoman Michele Bachmann announced that she will not be seeking re-election in 2014. The news was released via Rep. Bachmann’s Facebook page:
To my most cherished friends and immensely loyal supporters. I have prepared a personal video just for you that I hope you will view right now. I wanted to share this important breaking news about the decision I have made with you first.
The post included an 8:30 video from Bachmann explaining her decision and responding to speculation that if she ran again, she might lose. It also included her reminiscing about her accomplishments, from fighting Obamacare to raising the alarm on radical Islam:
Ms. Bachmann did not rule out a return to the world of politics in the future, saying “There is no future option or opportunity, be it directly in the political arena or otherwise, that I won’t be giving serious consideration if it can help save and protect our great nation.” But she did effectively “term limit” herself, stating:
“The law limits anyone from serving as president of the United States for more than eight years, and in my opinion, well, eight years is also long enough for an individual to serve as a representative for a specific Congressional district.”
“My decision was not influenced by any concerns about my being re-elected,” Bachmann said. Later, she added that “This decision was not impacted in any way by the recent inquiries into the activities of my former presidential campaign.”
Bachmann also let the left-leaning outlets in the mainstream media know that she anticipated her announcement would receive a “detrimental spin.”
“I take being the focus of their attention and disparagement as a true compliment of my public service effectiveness,” she said.
Sean Hannity: The attacks on conservative women like Michele Bachmann and Sarah Palin are more than most people could take. The left’s treatment of these and other conservative women is and has been appalling and the loss of Michele Bachmann in Congress, an honest hard-fighting politician, is a loss to us all!!
This is a breaking story. Updates will be added.
