Thanks to our Founder (As a Mom…Sisterhood of the Mommy Patriots) - Lori Parker for the "heads-up" to contact our Senators as the Administration tries to push through a vote on healthcare on Monday!
I have written this email to my Senators in Texas. I spent several hours last week calling Representatives and their voice mailboxes were full, so I am starting earlier and sending emails so they can read them as they go into the events of the weekend leading up to Monday. The letters I sent are as follows - please feel free to copy/use if you like. I know it takes time for all of us busy moms to stop what we are doing, get our thoughts together, and write an email or send a fax - Senators from your State.

THANK YOU for representing all of the citizens of Texas and also doing what’s right for the future of America!
Make sure we concede NOTHING in this discussion on HEALTHCARE REFORM. VOTE NO AND MAKE SURE OUR GOVT UNDERSTANDS WE DO NOT WANT THIS IN ANY FORM!!! I hope you understand that Texans expect you to STAND UP AND BE HEARD - QUIT BEING NICE AND LISTENING AND LETTING THE OTHER GUYS HAVE THEIR WAY!!!
RE: Ft. Hood - MAKE SURE OUR PRESIDENT KNOWS THAT TEXANS FIND IT TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE FOR HIM TO IGNORE THE FACT THAT THIS WAS A TERRORIST ACT AND EXPECT YOU TO HOLD HIS FEET TO THE FIRE UNTIL HE UNDERSTANDS WE EXPECT HIM TO DEFEND OUR COUNTRY - NOT PROTECT THE RIGHTS/FEELINGS OF THOSE WHO HATE OUR COUNTRY. PLEASE SPEAK OUT ON THIS AND BE HEARD!!!
We are appalled that he would use this tragedy to "campaign" and make remarks about his agenda. We are appalled at his attitude - entering the scene with he and his wife descending a large bank of steps to be the focus instead of the lost military men being the focus. He should have humbly paid them respect along with the officer who subdued the gunmen, and left his agenda out. It is clear he wants power not what's good for your country.
And stop any Cap and Trade legislation or anything bill that contains anything that tries to sneak provisions, amendments and legislation past the American people regarding healthcare, Cap and Trade, or the taking of anymore of our rights as stated in the Constitution… like was already done to us as part of the stimulus bill and recently the Hate Crimes Bill.
And finally, if you want to pass something… initiate a bill that requires all bills must be posted online for all Americans and the representatives that need to vote on them for a minimum of 5-days and be re-posted after the amendments and pork as been added, in final form, before the vote in either the House or the Senate.
QUIT SITTING STILL IN WASHINGTON!!! MAKE SOME NOISE UNTIL YOU ARE HEARD FOR ALL OF US IN TEXAS AND THIS COUNTRY IS ONCE AGAIN RUN BY THE PEOPLE, NOT THE GOVERNMENT!!! WE ARE COUNTING ON YOU TO DO THE JOB WE ELECTED YOU TO DO!!!

Do not underestimate the power we, and other grassroots and patriotic groups, have to throw out those not doing their jobs in Washington, and also do not take lightly the important job you have in communicating to our government for all of us.
