When he finally completed his transformation of America into a Socialist State, people finally woke up........ but it was too late.

Any one of these things, in and of themselves does not really matter. But.... when you add them up one by one you get a phenomenal score that points to the fact that our Obama is determined to make America over into a Marxist/Socialist society where Islam is the predominant religion, if there is religion at all. All of the items in the preceding paragraphs have been put into place. All can be documented very easily. Before you disavow this, do an internet search. The last paragraph alone is not yet cast in stone. You and I will write that paragraph. Will it read as above or will it be a more happy ending for most of America ? Personally, I like happy endings.

If you are an Obama Supporter, please do not be angry with me because I think the President of your choice is a socialist, but there are too many facts supporting this. If you seek the truth you will be richer for it. Don't just belittle the opposition. Search for the truth. I did. Democrats, Republicans, Independents, Constitutionalist, Libertarians and what have you, we all need to pull together. We all must pull together or watch the demise of a society that we all love and cherish. If you are a religious person, pray for our nation.

Never before in the history of America have we been confronted with problems so huge that the very existence of our country is in jeopardy. Don't rely on most television news and what you read in the newspapers for the truth. Search the internet. Yes, there is a lot of bad information, lies and distortions there too but you are smart enough to spot the fallacies. Newspapers are a dying breed. They are currently seeking a bailout from the government. Do you really think they are about to print the truth? Obama praises all the television news networks except Fox who he has waged war against. There must be a reason. He does not call them down on any specifics, just a general battle against them. If they lie, he should call them out on it but he doesn't. Please, find the truth, it will set you free.

Our biggest enemy is not China, Russia, Iran; no, our biggest enemy is a contingent of politicians in Washington DC .

DORGAN AND DODD QUIT SINKING SHIP

The retirements of Chris Dodd of Connecticut and Byron Dorgan of North Dakota are the latest evidence that the Democrats understand what they have done to their party by following Obama's radical agenda.  That they both lack the courage to face the music for their own roles in this debacle says more about their character than their ideology.

But the broader problem the party faces is that it no longer has a right or a center, only a left wing.

The very public way in which the existence of a center-right in the Democratic Party proved to be a mirage has done more to undermine the party's chances for victory in 2010 than any other aspect of the healthcare debate.

When liberal Republicans failed to rally to Bill Clinton's 1993-1994 agenda -- including his failed healthcare proposal -- they laid the basis for their total demise in subsequent years. Sens. Jeffords, Chaffee, D'Amato, Packwood, Hatfield and Specter (as a Republican) are gone. Sens. Snowe and Collins are all that remain of the once-dominant Rockefeller wing of the GOP. They have been replaced by real Democrats.

Now that Ben Nelson, Blanche Lincoln, Mary Landrieu and Byron Dorgan in the Senate and the likes of Marion Berry, Tom Perriello and John Spratt in the House have shown how easily they fold under pressure and how thin their conservatism really is, their states and districts will no longer be deceived into reelecting them. They will be replaced by real Republicans.

The Democratic game of electing moderates in conservative districts who then vote to keep liberals in power is over. It overreached. By collapsing so completely and so publicly, it has become self-evident to even the most gullible of voters that there is no such thing as a moderate Democrat. You are either an Obama, Pelosi or Reid clone or you are a Republican. That's the new two-party system.

In Bill Clinton's day, there were such things as moderate Democrats. Voters were not deceived when they cast their ballots for center-right Democrats.

For example, when welfare reform passed in 1996, it got the support of 99 House Democrats, while 99 voted against it. But those days are long gone. Only their memory remains. And voters have only just come to grasp this essential fact.

All of which leaves the Democrats with a problem: America is not as liberal as they are. Voters will no longer return moderate Democrats to Congress any more than they select liberal Republicans.

Democrats have had a tortuous history as a party.

After Lyndon Johnson and Vietnam, they were consigned to permanent minority status. Nixon's excesses earned them a second chance from a wary electorate, but Jimmy Carter blew it and they were back in the minority again for 12 more years. The likes of Carter, Walter Mondale and Mike Dukakis kept the party in the minority. Voters simply would not trust their liberal ways with the country.

Bill Clinton ended the exile by persuading voters that there was a center-right in the party after all and the Democrats were freed but on probation.

And they screwed it up by passing tax hikes and pushing healthcare reform, leading to the GOP sweep of 1994.

Then Clinton's moderation in 1995 and 1996 assuaged voter skepticism again and put the Democrats back in the game. By 2008, voters were actually willing to elect a liberal Democrat. Now that Obama's administration is exploding due to its own extremism, the Democrats again face consignment to minority status. And the first to go will be those who try to make their political living on the conservative edge of a liberal party.

For them, in 2010, the mandate is clear:  Switch parties or lose the election.

Obama and the Vampire Congress

Meet the Beltway bloodsuckers. They convene in the dead of night, when most ordinary mortals have left work and let their guard down or are lying asleep in bed. Pale-faced and insatiable, the nocturnal thieves do their nefarious business in backrooms and secret chambers. Their primary victims? Taxpayers, the free market and deliberative democracy.

Democratic leaders have been promising the most ethical, transparent, open and engaged administration for years. Instead, they have delivered a bleak and creepy legislative environment that could double as a “Twilight” movie set.

Skulking Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid rammed the government health care takeover package through under the cover of darkness before Thanksgiving and Christmas. House Democratic leaders forbade debate on all but one amendment not authored by themselves. The Senate Finance Committee killed a GOP amendment that would have required Demcare to be available online for 72 hours before the committee voted. Reid and his Volterra-style henchmen cut last-minute cash-for-cloture deals behind closed doors.

And now House and Senate Democratic leaders are reportedly preparing to cut dissenters out of the reconciliation process by bypassing the formal conference committee.

In Hill parlance, this legislative shortcut is called “ping-ponging.” A better game analogy: dodgeball. With mounting opposition from both conservative Republicans and progressive Democrats, President Obama’s water-carriers must use every trick in the book to speed the final merging and passage of the bill before the end of the month.

The hypocrisy reeks stronger than rotting garlic. In 2006, House Democrats asserted that “House-Senate conferences are a critical part of the deliberative process because they produce the final legislative product that will become the law of the land.” That same year, Reid railed on the Senate floor against informal deal-making that circumvented the conference committee process -- and he attacked the use of manager’s amendments to avoid public scrutiny:

"Of course, nobody can see the manager’s amendment. It is composed of over 40 amendments. How could anyone vote for a piece of legislation such as that -- a manager's amendment with 42 separate amendments? Now, these amendments were not put in a conference committee. People complain about that. But at least in a conference committee, you have people working together, sticking things in. … Here, you have one person making a decision as to what is going to be in the manager’s amendment. There is no way to know what is in it."

But four years later, it was Reid who snuck his 383-page manager’s amendment -- stuffed with payoffs, special breaks and concessions on health care -- into the Senate hopper on the Saturday before Christmas break. Four years later, it is Reid stifling the open, collaborative conference committee process he so fiercely championed.

Where’s Barack Obama? As a candidate, he promised repeatedly to broadcast legislative negotiations on C-SPAN “so that the American people can see what the choices are” and “so that the public will be part of the conversation and will see the choices that are being made.” But the most transparent presidential administration ever is shrugging its shoulders. On Tuesday, White House press secretary Robert Gibbs pooh-poohed C-SPAN’s request to allow electronic media coverage of the Demcare negotiations.

Instead, Gibbs thinks Americans should be grateful for what they got last month: “The Senate did a lot of their voting at 1:00 and 2:00 in the morning on C-SPAN. … And I think if you watched that debate -- I don't know -- I wasn't up at 1:00 or 2:00 in the morning for a lot of those votes, but I think if the American public had watched … you'd have seen quite a bit of public hearing and public airing.” And if you missed the middle-of-the-night broadcasts, tough noogies.

Team Obama’s contempt for meaningful transparency has been on display from Day One. A year ago this month, Obama broke his vaunted open government pledge with the very first bill he signed into law. On Jan. 29, 2009, the White House boasted that the Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act had been posted online for review. Except: Obama had already signed it -- in violation of his “sunlight before signing” pledge to post legislation for public comment on the White House website five days before he sealed any deal.

From the stimulus to the health care takeover to holiday bailouts for bankrupt financial behemoths Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, it’s been all backrooms and blackouts ever since. The Prince of Darkness at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. is perfectly happy with his Vampire Congress. Wraiths of a sunshine-evading feather flock together.

The Futility Economy

By James Howard Kunstler at Whiskey & Gunpowder

On the first business day of the new year and oil traded above $80 a barrel, which means the price has re-entered the danger zone where it can crush industrial economies. This is a central element of the predicament we find ourselves in. The US economy is essentially a Happy Motoring economy. During the whole nervous period since the collapse of Lehman Brothers, American gasoline consumption hardly went down at all, though so many other activities collapsed, from house-building to trucking. Yesterday, The Seattle Times published a story with the idiotic headline: Oil Touches $80 on US Economy, Demand Optimism. Apparently, they think high oil prices are “a good sign.”

How much can a nation not get it? Would $100 oil ignite a new orgy of “consumer” spending and another round of investment in commercial real estate? Welcome to the Futility Economy. This is the economy where Nature and its material companion, Reality, punish us for our stupidity and fecklessness. This is the economy that will tear the United States apart, after it bankrupts us at every level, and mercilessly drives the population down by one-third through starvation, homelessness, violence, disease, and sheer political cruelty.

Whatever you thought our economy was the past thirty years — whatever model of it you have in your head — that is definitely not what we are going back to. Like one of Dickens’s Yuletide ghosts, Reality is leading us by the hand into new circumstances. We resist like crazy. We throw our hands over our eyes. We don’t want to look. We want to return to the comfort of our dreary routines — living in places that aren’t worth caring about, weaving endlessly in freeway traffic, drawing a paycheck at the air-conditioned cubicle, inhaling Buffalo wings by the platterful, with periodic side-trips to the state-chartered casino where there’s always a chance of scoring a lifetime’s income on one lucky bet. And at the end of the day, you can retire with a simulated prostitute on your laptop screen! And not even have to fork over a dime — except perhaps for the Internet connection fee.

Reality is taking us out of that familiar, if sordid, realm, whether we like it or not. Our destination is an everyday economy where you rarely travel far from the place you live, where you have to make provision for you own health, your own old age, your own income, your own diet, your own security, and your own education. If you’re really fortunate, some or all of these necessities can be obtained in conjunction with your neighbors in the place where you live — but don’t expect an increasingly mythical federal government to supply any of it. Expect a new and different way of organizing households based on extended families and kinship groups. Be prepared for agriculture to return to the foreground of everyday life, where farming is back at the center of the economy. Think about how you will cultivate your best role in a social network so the things you do will be truly valued by the other people who know you. Learn how to make your own music and write your own scripts. Try to study history. Resist cults. Keep your mind clear and your senses sharp.

Even if you have a dim sense that this is where we’re headed, most of you probably want to stay where you are. The investments we’ve made in the current mode of existence are so monumental that we can’t imagine letting go of them. This will be the theme of American life for the next couple of years as we struggle mightily to escape the confining armor of the Futility Economy and move closer to ways of life that have more of a future. Right now, all the power and authority in our culture has dedicated itself to remaining inside that old armor.

The Master Wish around the country, including among people who ought to know better, is that we can “solve” our economic problem by finding some other way to run all the cars. Even hardcore environmentalists yammer incessantly about hybrid and “plug-in” cars as the “solution” to our blues. One of Barack Obama’s first acts as president was to “save” the giant car companies. This is exactly the kind of signature behavior of a Futility Economy. It’s based on the idea that we have to continue driving cars all the time and for everything, at all costs.

The religion of the Futility Economy is Techno-Triumphalism, which is the belief that an endless sequence of magic tricks performed by shaman scientists can defeat the Second Law of Thermodynamics, which rules the universe — which true scientists ought to know cannot be defeated. Their colleagues, the shaman economists believe in parallel magic tricks, such as the idea that increased borrowing can “solve” a problem of runaway over-indebtedness. These are the actions that currently engage the people in charge of things in our society.

Given this current state of things, and the current course we’re on, my guess is that when the falsity of these ideas and actions are exposed, they will become evident not gradually but very rapidly and shockingly. The people in charge of things will lose their vested legitimacy in a flash, and the institutions they command will become irrelevant overnight. The process would be traumatic for all of us as routines we counted on for a thousand particulars of everyday life vanish or collapse. A Great Indignation will rise across the land over the perceived swindles involved. A lot of effort will go into avenging the swindles instead of rebuilding an economy out of the ashes of futility.

Regards, James

You may be asking…

Why aren’t the media or the American People standing up… I mean really standing up. I believe the answer lies in the comment of a caller into Sean Hannity’s radio program earlier today. She said after traveling around the world she realized that Americans no longer think for themselves nor pray and give their emergencies to God.

And sadly that is true. Why? Because back to the 1930’s and especially since the 1960’s generations of Americans have been brainwashed, and even more so in the elitist Ivy League and other leftist colleges and universities like Berkley and Stanford, and many of those in the media, were trained and indoctrinated in those institutions… in Marxist theory, Rules as outlined by Saul Alinsky and a movement designed by Cloward and Piven. And so were an army of future community organizers and politicians.

They were trained in socialism and disdain for the American dream, capitalism and the average American and have been behind the attacks from within and without for the past 40+ years. And with that indoctrination, they were trained to replace God with “the Cause”. As Hillary Clinton wrote: There is Only the Fight.

An Analysis of the Alinsky Model

A thesis submitted in partial fulfillment of the requirements for the Bachelor of Arts degree under the Special Honors Program, Wellesley College, Wellesley, Massachusetts.

[from page 10...]

"Alinsky outlines American history focusing on men he would call 'radical,' confronting his readers again with the 'unique' way Americans have synthesized the alien roots of radicalism, Marxism, Utopian socialism, syndicalism, the French Revolution, with their own conditions and experiences:

Where are the American Radicals? They were with Patrick Henry in the Virginia Hall of Burgesses; they were with Sam Adams in Boston; they were with that peer of all American Radicals, Tom Paine, from the distribution of Common Sense through those dark days of the American Revolution...

The American Radicals were in the colonies grimly forcing the addition of the Bill of Rights to our Constitution. They stood at the side of Tom Jefferson in the first big battle between the Tories of Hamilton and the American people. They founded and fought in the LocoFocos. They were in the first union strike in America and they fought for the distribution of the western lands to the masses of people instead of the few...They were in the shadows of the underground railroad and they openly rode in the sunlight with John Brown to Harpers Ferry...They were with Horace Mann fighting for the extension of educational opportunities...They built the American Labor movement...

Many of their deeds are not and never will be recorded in America's history. They were among the grimy men in the dust bowl, they sweated with the share croppers. They were at the side of the Okies facing the California vigilantes. They stood and stand before the fury of lynching mobs. They were and are on the picket lines gazing unflinchingly at the threatening, flushed, angry faces of the police.

American Radicals are to be found wherever and whenever America moves closer to the fulfillment of its democratic dream. Whenever America's hearts are breaking, these American Radicals were and are. America was begun by its Radicals. The hope and future of America lies with its Radicals.9

Words such as these coupled with his compelling personality enabled Alinsky to hold a sidewalk seminar during the 1968 Democratic Party Convention in Chicago. He socratically gathered around him a group of young demonstrators on the corner of Michigan and Bilbo on Monday night telling them that they were another generation of American Radicals.10"

Universal Voter Registration

By Nancy Matthis | Tuesday, January 5th, 2010 at 5:09 am

The Democrats have a plan to get reelected despite sinking poll numbers. It is called universal voter registration.

Have you been wondering why they are pushing so many unpopular bills all at once, as though they didn’t care what the voters wanted? Ruining our health care system, sacrificing our national sovereignty, pandering to terrorists, increasing our energy costs, plunging the nation into hopeless debt, and trampling on individual rights? Have you been wondering why the Democrats are so unconcerned that they lost two governorships in landslide votes in Virginia and New Jersey?
They plan to change the electoral landscape before voters can retaliate. Here’s how, as described by Wall Street Journal columnist John Fund, speaking at the David

Horowitz Freedom Center’s Restoration Weekend this past November WATCH VIDEO ABOVE

Transcript:
Democrats were very rattled by the November 3rd election results. What do liberals do when they lose elections? They change the rules. In January, Chuck Schumer and Barney Frank will propose universal voter registration.

What is universal voter registration? It means all of the state laws on elections will be overridden by a federal mandate. The feds will tell the states, “Take everyone on every list of welfare recipients you have, take everyone on every list of unemployed you have, take everyone on every list of property owners, take everyone on every list of driver’s license holders, and register them to vote regardless of whether they want to be.”

By the way, there’ll be felon reinfranchisement too. At that point, you have destroyed the integrity of the registration process.

Now they will sell this very cleverly. They will say, “Well, OK, ACORN did have some problems with voter registration. We shouldn’t have these third party rogue groups out there. So let’s put ACORN out of business. Let’s register everybody.”

Now the problem, of course, is there are a lot of duplicates. And there are a lot of people on those rolls who are illegal aliens. It’s not a clean list. They don’t care. So, this is the issue you haven’t heard about. There’s a reason you haven’t heard about it. They don’t want you to hear about it.

The path between the day this bill is introduced and the day it hits the House floor will probably be less than two weeks. Get ready for it. You can stop it. Don’t get me wrong. But this is their stealth bill that is even more sneaky than the health care bill.

Much has been made about how Democrats are committing political suicide with the healthcare bill and all the other onerous legislation they have proposed and/or passed this year. There is no mistaking that these actions are extremely unpopular….
But those who believe in this “Democrat suicide” model implicitly assume next November’s elections will be free and fair….

Can falsified registrations become votes? If the feds push universal voter registration by overriding state elections procedures, you bet, says John Fund of the WSJ….
If you think ACORN voter registration and fraud threaten the integrity of the American electoral process, just wait until Chuck Schumer and Barney Frank get their way.

For many years, John Fund has been warning about Democrat efforts to redesign the electoral process. These ‘reforms’ are sold as ways of improving the process. Fund insists they are designed to manage favorable outcomes for Democrats, going so far as to say last November that the Democrats are working to subvert and corrupt the voter registration process….

We have always held to the tradition that individuals register themselves. This is a built-in system to maintain integrity. Allowing the federal government to jam universal voter registration opens the process to corruption, but that is the purpose.
Democrats know full well they’ll reap millions of votes in the process, once the process is corrupted in this way.

From What the Dems know that we don’t by Jim Simpson (1/4/10):

Many are puzzled that Democrats persist in ramming unpopular and destructive legislation down our collective throats while seemingly unconcerned by their plummeting poll numbers. A widespread belief is that the Democrats are committing political suicide and will be swept from one or both houses of Congress with unprecedented electoral losses next November. But since Democrat politicians rarely do things that will not ultimately benefit themselves, this column asked two weeks ago: “what do they know that we don’t?”

We may have found out. It’s called universal voter registration….

The problems with universal voter registration are numerous and obvious. Many state lists include vast numbers of illegals, including some states which allow illegals to obtain driver’s licenses; because many homeowners have more than one home there will be duplicates; because so many people are on so many separate federal and state government agency lists, there will be duplicates, and because so many lists exist with little or no cross-checking capability these duplicates are likely to go uncorrected. Add to this the fact that Dems hope to extend voting rights to felons and the whole thing begins to look like a nationwide Democrat voter registration drive facilitated by taxpayers….
http://frontpage.americandaughter.com/?p=2836

The left has predictably launched vicious smear attacks against John Fund for bringing universal voter registration to our attention. A Google search of the issue brings up any number of nasty ad hominem attacks. Most notable is Media Matters, the leftist group whose sole purpose seems to be smearing Republicans and defending the left's indefensible policies. They put up this gem: "Right-Wing Ass Weasel John Fund Doesn't Like Universal Voter Registration because of ACORN." Media Matters, what a class act!

Differences Between Conservatives and Liberal

Wrapping Up 2009 (Part 1 of 6) - Glenn Beck Named ‘Misinformer’ of the Year by Soros Affiliate SEIU and the Washington Post

Truth can stand by herself… If allowed to (paraphrased Thomas Jefferson) Full quote in segment 1.

No matter which side of the debate you are on, or whether you support Obama or not… or whether you like Glenn Beck or Chris Wallace, I ask you to take the time to watch this mini series wrap up (all week), unless you watch it live or on TiVo and then share the info. Our country stands at the edge and everyone needs to be aware and choose a side… or you will be lost in the middle without a voice. And no choice is a definite choice. It is the choice to let others decide the fate of your life for you.

Truth vs. Revisionism Relating Directly to Thomas Jefferson:

“This brings us to the crux of today’s revisionism, elevating Adams and diminishing Jefferson. In our history, Jefferson has been the patron political saint for those who believe in small government, decentralized power, low taxes, and individual liberty. Thomas Jefferson, in other words, is the icon of everything today’s Socialist-Marxist Left wants to destroy. They are delighted to minimize and demonize him.”

-Lowell Ponte, FrontPageMagazine.com, 7/11/2001

Three Lessons from Thomas Jefferson Courtesy of Glenn Beck

Three lessons can be learned from Thomas Jefferson: 1) Question with boldness, 2) Hold to the truth, and 3) Speak without fear. These lessons can be and should be applied to education. They need not apply just to the humanities but they lend themselves quite well to it. If we hold on to these three principles, we will be able to cut away from the bias that foments everything we are bombarded with.

The first principle is the most important. Thomas Jefferson said, "Question with boldness even the existence of God; because, if there be one, he must more approve of the homage of reason than that of blindfolded fear." Questioning is the most important thing we can do. We are constantly told what to think, how to think and what is the absolute truth. In reality these "truths" are colored by a person's education and upbringing.

You would be right to question what I write, as that is the point of questioning with boldness. You must question everything you do not believe to be true but equally if not more importantly is to question what you do believe to true. Why do you believe what you believe? If you cannot answer that you need to do some serious soul searching. Knowing why you believe something makes your argument stronger.

The second principle is to hold to the truth. Once you have found the answers to your questions; it is time to speak to the truth as you understand it. You must always speak the truth. A lie, no mater how large or infinitesimal, will come back to haunt you. Honesty is the best policy and one that you should seek to employ in your daily life. It is of the upmost importance to be truthful and honorable. For if we are to be free it is our moral duty to be honest and hold to the truth.

The third and final principle: speak without fear is paramount in a free society. You must be able speak your mind without fear of repercussions. You must be able to speak out against injustices or things you disagree with. To speak without fear is to know you are right. You cannot ever be afraid to speak out against those in power because a free society demands mistrust of those who hold power and make decisions that affect all of us.

If we are to be truly free we must break the shackles that have bound us. We must educate ourselves and not rely on anyone but ourselves. We must not allow others to make decisions for us that would be better made by us. We must question with boldness. We must hold to the truth. We must speak without fear. Only then can we be truly free and fulfill an idea that permeates through American culture: that all men are created equal.

Intellectuals and Society

There has probably never been an era in history when intellectuals have played a larger role in society. When intellectuals who generate ideas are surrounded by a wide range of others who disseminate those ideas-- whether as journalists, teachers, staffers to legislators or clerks to judges-- the influence of intellectuals on the way a society evolves can be huge. Trying for years to understand the nature of that influence eventually led me to write the book "Intellectuals and Society," which has just been published.

Intellectuals generate ideas and ideas matter, whether those ideas are right or wrong, and they matter far beyond the small segment of society who are intellectuals. Ideas affect the fate of whole nations and civilizations. Nowhere is that more true than in our own times, when some people make suicidal attacks to kill strangers who have done nothing to them, as on 9/11, because the attackers are consumed with a set of ideas-- a vision-- and driven by the emotions generated by those ideas and that vision.

Whether in war or peace, and whether in economics or religion, something as intangible as ideas can dominate the most concrete things in our lives. What Karl Marx called "the blaze of ideas" has set whole nations on fire and consumed whole generations.

Those whose careers are built on the creation and dissemination of ideas-- the intellectuals-- have played a role in many societies out of all proportion to their numbers. Whether that role has, on net balance, made those around them better off or worse off is one of the key questions of our times.

The quick answer is that intellectuals have done both. But certainly, for the 20th century, it is hard to escape the conclusion that intellectuals have on net balance made the world a worse and more dangerous place. Scarcely a mass-murdering dictator of the 20th century was without his supporters, admirers or apologists among the leading intellectuals-- not only within his own country, but in foreign democracies, where intellectuals were free to say whatever they wanted to.

Given the enormous progress made during the 20th century, it may seem hard to believe that intellectuals did so little good as to have that good outweighed by particular wrong-headed notions. But most of those who promoted the scientific, economic and social advances of the 20th century were not really intellectuals in the sense in which that term is most often used.

eam of human beings flying, were by no means intellectuals. Nor were those who conquered the scourge of polio and other diseases, or who created the electronic marvels that we now take for granted.

All these people produced a tangible product or service and they were judged by whether those products and services worked. But intellectuals are people whose end products are intangible ideas, and they are usually judged by whether those ideas sound good to other intellectuals or resonate with the public.

Whether their ideas turn out to work-- whether they make life better or worse for others-- is another question entirely.

The ideas that Karl Marx created in the 19th century dominated the course of events over wide portions of the world in the 20th century. Whole generations suffered, and millions were killed, as a result of those ideas. This was not Marx's intention, nor the intentions of many supporters of Marxian ideas in countries around the world. But it is what happened.

Some of the most distinguished intellectuals in the Western world in the 1930s gave ringing praise to the Soviet Union, while millions of people there were literally starved to death and vast numbers of others were being shipped off to slave labor camps.

Many of those same distinguished intellectuals of the 1930s were urging their own countries to disarm while Hitler was rapidly arming Germany for wars of conquest that would have, among other things, put many of those intellectuals in concentration camps-- slated for extermination-- if he had succeeded.

The 1930s were by no means unique. In too many other eras-- including our own today-- intellectuals of unquestionable brilliance have advocated similarly childish and dangerous notions. How and why such patterns have existed among intellectuals is a challenging question, whose answer can determine the fate of millions of other people.

California Patriot Update

California’s Top 12 for 2009 - Video

Liberals and liberalism are destroying America!

For 16 years we have tried to vote out Boxer & Feinstein with no luck! But perhaps their time has come. When you look at California’s Central Valley, a US Bread Basket, purposefully destroyed a the hands of those two, Pelosi and Schwarzenegger (all self-serving social Progressives) who has yet to go to Washington DC and demand they turn the water back on in his state, you have to realize that they are war with their own constituents or be a Kool Aid drinker yourself!

All these stupid wasteful commissions, mandates and taxes, yet California still can afford to fund 33 MILLION of tax payer money to Planned Parenthood every year!?

And what party holds the majority? Liberal democrats with a RINO Governor!

It is time to kick them ALL out and vote in ONLY those with morals and a respect for the Constitution, in our States and Federal governments!

Comment: Lady1234 from AAM

And take heart… There are now over 2000 groups, that we know of, around the US standing up for America, American Values and the Constitution. I just heard over the weekend that two separate independent polls showed people who call themselves liberals at an all time low.

On Saturday, January 2, 2009 Californians began circulating and collecting signatures on the petition for the CA Initiative "Unplug The Political Machine."

States all over the country are passing legislation to exempt themselves and overturn unfavorable legislation passed by the Federal Government and we are seeing both a resurgence of the rights of the individual and states rights everywhere. Some states are even looking at secession, mainly as a threat, for a last ditch out.

Volunteers and various groups are giving classes on the Constitution, on self-defense, and on surviving the tough times. (Interesting fact: Obama has been the greatest gun and ammo salesman the United States has ever seen).

And over the holiday season we have seen several members of the GOP and other organizations file or prepare to file requests for judicial review of un-Constitutional legislation or launch lawsuits.

We have also seen the birth of recalls and impeachment movements of everyone from school board members to State and Federal politicians.

2010 is the beginning of a new decade and will be a huge year for the United States and the American people. To those of you who have fought hard all last year or those who saw the big picture long before that and have been fight for years now… bless you and don’t stop. Those of you who are smelling the new coffee aroma for 2010: Real Positive Change, Renewal of American Freedoms, and Fighting for our Country… Welcome and jump in. The coffee is brewing.

OBAMA HAS SIGNED AWAY OUR RIGHTS WITH THE EXEUCTIVE ORDER CHANGE RE INTERPOL! - Updated

With the signing of an under-publicized amendment to Executive Order 12425, Barack Obama has fundamentally altered your constitutional rights. His actions are undermining your rights to protect personal privacy from a foreign internationalist police agency named Interpol. A one-paragraph executive order may seem inconsequential to many, but this action has far-reaching implications and threatens the sovereignty of America.

Obama's secretive executive order amended an order issued by President Reagan in 1983. Reagan's order recognized Interpol as an international organization and gave it privileges and immunities commonly extended to foreign diplomats. Reagan opened the door to allow Interpol to operate in partnership with the U.S. but with significant constitutional safeguards. Specifically, Interpol's property and assets remained subject to search and seizure by American law enforcement, and its archived records remained subject to public scrutiny under provisions of the Freedom of Information Act. Interpol had to answer to the FBI and U.S. courts under Reagan's order. These safeguards were stripped away by Obama's action the week before Christmas without debate or explanation. Obama picked the holiday season to make this radical change, to minimize media coverage.

This order marks a significant change in federal policy and usurps the constitutional power of our government by yielding it to an international organization. Michael van Der Galien writes, "This foreign law-enforcement organization can operate free of an important safeguard against government and abuse. Property and assets, including the organization's records, cannot now be searched or seized. Their physical operational locations are now immune from U.S. legal and investigative authorities."

Obama has given an international organization unsupervised freedom to investigate Americans on our own soil without recourse or the supervision of our own government.

Andy McCarthy writing for the National Review asks some very significant questions: "Why would we elevate an international police force above American law? Why would we immunize an international police force from the limitations that constrain the FBI and other American law-enforcement agencies? Why is it suddenly necessary to have, within the Justice Department, a repository for stashing government files which, therefore, will be beyond the ability of Congress, American law-enforcement, the media and the American people to scrutinize?"

Interpol is the enforcement arm of the International Criminal Court, or ICC. The United States never signed onto the Rome Treaty, which created the ICC, because of the potential for abuse by foreign interests. Obama has signaled he may sign the treaty over these objections and subject Americans to prosecution overseas in the ICC. This is harmful for two reasons. First, the U.S. Constitution clearly states that it is the supreme law of our land, and allowing the ICC to supersede the U.S. Constitution violates America's sovereignty. Second, the War on Terror is unpopular with Europeans, and the ICC may attempt to prosecute heroic American soldiers with trumped-up war crimes. Obama is putting brave American men and women at grave risk.

An added wrinkle to this executive order is that Interpol's operations center for the United States is housed within our own Justice Department. Many of the agents are Americans who work under the aegis of Interpol. This order has potentially created the new civilian security force that Obama proposed during his campaign. This group of law-enforcement officials is no longer subject to the restraints enshrined in the U.S. Constitution.

The order guarantees that Interpol officers have immunity from prosecution for crimes they may commit in the United States. Ironically, some Interpol nations are attempting to try American intelligence agents for their work abroad in the War on Terror.
This order shows blatant disregard for the U.S. Constitution. While Obama is extending due process rights to terrorists he is weakening those same rights for American citizens. If a citizen were to be prosecuted by Interpol, their newly granted immunity would interfere with the discovery process. Since Interpol files are immune to disclosure, a citizen could be denied his right to see the information used to prosecute him or her.

Obama's executive order has done more to weaken civil liberties than the much-maligned Patriot Act. The silence in the mainstream media on this issue should scare all freedom-loving Americans. Obama just signed away parts of our precious legal protections.

Warm regards,
Floyd Brown

Update:

This was just sent to me and I have just finished the first video. dated Dec. 9, 2009 – Figured it was worth sending on, especially with the articles and chatter about the Obama’s amendment to the Posse Comitatus Act that has been floating around the past few days.

Someone in one of my patriot groups said the other day, "I hope I'm wrong about all of this, but I would rather share the the information and be wrong or even look foolish a year from now than not and have been quietly right!!"

Around 8 minutes, the speaker (Steve Quayle) begins and says there is an event coming that will involve military action against US citizens (armed forces - responding to and acting against citizens) that will be so deep and so penetrating that the US will never be the same. He has talked with air force, law enforcement personnel, etc and it is confirmed.

The reason for this event is the economy will tank - within the 45 - 60 day mark.

New World Order At-A-Glance - Updated

Allow me to begin by stating a Caveat here – It has been difficult, at least for me, to piece all of this together, due to the many different coalitions and conferences that seem to be part and parcel of the New World Order. It’s as though someone took an already assembled 1000-piece puzzle, and scattered those pieces all across the room. The task I undertook was to look across history and piece this all back together again. There may be one or two finer points in error, of which correction would be greatly appreciated, as it almost seems as though the convoluted and confusing events of history are, by design, intended to hide the real purpose of a One World Government

---------------------------------
New World Order At-A-Glance...

1795 - Philosopher Immanuel Kant writes about a Utopian Governmental paradise, in “Perpetual Peace: A Philosophical Sketch”.

1815-1914 – Kant’s philosophies, along with other like-minded proponents, leads to the Concert of Europe. During this time, there are a number of loose associations and organizations throughout Europe dedicated to the like-minded goal of peace among the nations of the world. Among these are the Congress of Vienna, the Carlsbad Decrees, Congress of Verona, the London Conference, and the Congress of Berlin, all during this 99 year period.

All of these Congresses and Conferences had the basic idea in common that it was time (it was felt) to unite the world together as a coalition of Free States, with the primary goal of eliminating war, and secondary goals of improving economies. (Environmental concerns came later)

(If you remember 1st Thessalonians 5:1-3, which is an end-times prophecy, “Now, brothers, about times and dates we do not need to write to you, for you know very well that the day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night. While people are saying, "Peace and safety," destruction will come on them suddenly, as labor pains on a pregnant woman, and they will not escape.”)

(I personally find the “thief in the night” quote to be extremely interesting, in light of all the secretism that is behind our current Administration’s European handshaking) 1889 - The Inter-Parliamentary Union is formed, juxtaposed to the Concert of Europe (coalition).

1918-1920 - The League of Nations, was formed as a result of the Treaty of Versailles, which was the Peace Treaty signed at the end of World War 1, ending hostilities between Germany and the Allied Powers. (The United States was never a member of the League of Nations, thanks to conservative Republican Senators Henry Cabot Lodge, and William E. Borah, who rallied Senate opposition against joining the League)

1945 – United Nations (founded right on the heels of the end of World War 2), was basically the League of Nations renamed, with the reasoning that the League of Nations failed in its mandate to prevent war. The United Nations inherited the Leagues former members, along with the Leagues mandate, but is still basically the very same League of Nations under a new name, now located in New York City. (The United States was one of the founding members of the United Nations, which is interesting, because Vietnam was also a member of the UN’s “Group of 77” since 1964. Since the UN’s mandate of promoting peace among its members is its founding mandate, this is probably why we couldn’t say we were “at war” in Vietnam, but instead it had to be termed “a police action”, because the UN’s self-stated purpose is to prevent war. I realize that we were supporting South Vietnam, but we were still basically at war with the North Vietnamese Communist Regime.

Currently the United Nations Secretariat, which is the “home office” of the UN, and is where the individual known as the Secretary-General of the United Nations holds office, is situated in New York City on 18 acres donated by John D. Rockefeller directly to the UN, and is called International Territory; this 18 acres inside New York City currently does not belong to the United States, and America has no sovereign rights over that territory. (No United Nations buildings were targets of the 911 terrorists, which I think is strangely interesting, but that’s just me)
The United Nations began amassing numerous councils, and assemblies, which now resembles the same situation as the Concert of Europe back in 1815-1914.

Among these are the UN Security Council, the UN General Assembly, the UN Economic and Social Council, with a list of Departments within the UN, each one separately chartered to handle “specialty” issues ranging from Legal Affairs, Political Affairs, Peacekeeping Operations, Humanitarian Affairs, Economic and Social Affairs, Safety and Security, Drugs and Crime, and of course Global Warming, not to mention the UN offices in Geneva, Vienna, and Nairobi.

There is also an International Court of Justice located in the Hague, Netherlands, which functions as sort of the worlds “Supreme Court”, as far as the UN is concerned. The seat of the court itself is the Hague, and should not be confused with the International Criminal Court, which is a permanent Tribunal, mandated to prosecute individuals for genocide, crimes against humanity, and war crimes. Unlike the International Court of Justice which holds trials at the Hague, the International Criminal Court can hold trials anywhere on global United Nations Territory, and the individual criminal in question is a national of a United Nations member state.

There are currently 192 member states in the UN – click on the link below to see an animated time-line World map of UN member states gradually joining the UN through the years; it resembles the spread of a disease infecting an organism (to re-start the animation, simply “re-fresh” the Internet page)
http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/f/f6/UN_member_states...

Since 1945, the “base of operations” (in one way or another) for the New World Order has been the UN in New York, the UN’s member states in Vienna, The Hague in the Netherlands, and Nairobi.

The past 69 years have been spent by the various New World Order movers and shakers trying to unite the entire planet under the umbrella of a One World Government. The recent news of the United Nations Climate Change Conference in Copenhagen, the Kyoto Protocol, which Obama would definitely have signed when he went a second time within a week after first going to accept his unearned Nobel Peace Prize, is just the most recent milestone in an almost 70 year series of events designed to bring America under the control of an International One World Government. America missed the disaster of have its sovereignty ceded to the UN due to what most feel is a pure intervention from God in answer to millions of prayers. The leaks of years of emails known as Climategate and the record snow storms at both ends of Obama’s trip, in Copenhagen and Washington DC ,seems more than just a coincidence to most. But it will just be a temporary delay if Americans do not stand up.

All of the other organizations tied together with One World Government “conspiracy theories”, such as the Trilateral Commission, The Council on Foreign Relations, Bohemian Grove, World Economic Forum, and the Bilderberg Group are not “Governmental” in their roles, but rather are more like “social clubs” where the various New World Order movers and shakers can stay in the loop and network with each other.
---------------------
The Nobel Peace Prize connection -

When Obama received the Nobel Prize for doing absolutely nothing whatsoever, (except of course for just being him), it raised a red flag to me that the Nobel Prize is probably linked to the Communist politics of Obama. The list of Nobel Peace Prize Laureates, and the list of persons involved in working towards a One World Government can be compared side by side.

Of the 120 Nobel Prizes awarded, 68 had direct connections with the United Nations, or governing types of groups connected somehow to the UN.

Of the remaining prize awards, many of those were to people who were quite Liberal in their outlook, fighting for their causes of environmentalism, or working to end wars, but I could not readily make a direct connection to the UN.
---------------------------
Even though this was long, it’s a brief as I can make it.

The past century of work done to bring all the Nations together under a single government has so many details to it, that one could literally fill a volume of Encyclopedias just with this subject alone.

I hope this is helpful.

What no Tea Party dares utter

If governments are instituted among men to secure rights, such as life, liberty and private property ownership, then how did America's governments get the power to conscript?

From Day One, the militia, defined as all able bodied male citizens between 17 and 45, were obligated to train, fight, and die (if necessary) on command.

Answer: Consent.

In the Declaration of Independence, it states that government has two jobs:

1. Secure rights, and
2. Govern those who consent.

And if you've given consent, you waived job #1.

So how did the militia give consent to be obligated to train, fight and die?

By claiming citizenship.

Contrary to popular belief, there is no law that imposes citizenship at birth. Because citizenship has mandatory civic duties - jury duty, militia duty, and so on. To impose involuntary servitude is unconstitutional, pursuant to the 13th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution.

Now you know why the government asks you to declare your citizenship.

In the Articles of Confederation (IV), it refers to "free inhabitants" who were distinct from the "free citizens". Another name for inhabitants who are not citizens : American nationals.

In case you were not exposed to American law in your Socialist Studies, consider that American people (not citizens) are sovereign.
"People are supreme, not the state."

Waring v. the Mayor of Savannah, 60 GA at 93.

"The people of the state, as the successors of its former sovereign, are entitled to all the rights which formerly belonged to the king by his own prerogative."
Lansing v. Smith, (1829) 4 Wendell 9, (NY)

"At the Revolution, the sovereignty devolved on the people and they are truly the sovereigns of the country."
Chisholm v. Georgia, 2 Dall. 440, 463

"It will be admitted on all hands that with the exception of the powers granted to the states and the federal government, through the Constitutions, the people of the several states are unconditionally sovereign within their respective states."

Ohio L. Ins. & T. Co. v. Debolt 16 How. 416, 14 L.Ed. 997
In America, however, the case is widely different. Our government is founded upon compact. Sovereignty was, and is, in the people.

Glass vs The Sloop Betsey, 3 Dall 6 (1794)
"GOVERNMENT (Republican Government)- One in which the powers of sovereignty are vested in the people and are exercised by the people, either directly, or through representatives chosen by the people, to whom those powers are specially delegated."

- - - Black's Law Dictionary, Sixth Edition, P. 695

Did you give consent, knowingly, willingly and intentionally?

Did you change from the republican form of government to the democratic form?

Did you voluntarily surrender your Creator's endowment for access to entitlements under FICA / Socialist In Security?

Who told you that you were born a "U.S. citizen"?

CITIZEN - ... Citizens are members of a political community who, in their associative capacity, have established or submitted themselves to the dominion of government for the promotion of the general welfare and the protection of their individual as well as collective rights.

- - - Black's Law Dictionary, Sixth Ed. p.244

SUBJECT - One that owes allegiance to a sovereign and is governed by his laws. ...Men in free governments are subjects as well as citizens; as citizens they enjoy rights and franchises; as subjects they are bound to obey the laws. The term is little used, in this sense, in countries enjoying a republican form of government.

- - - Black's Law Dictionary, Sixth Edition, p. 1425

"... the term 'citizen,' in the United States, is analogous to the term "subject" in the common law; the change of phrase has resulted from the change in government. ... he who before was a "subject of the King" is now a citizen of the State."

State v. Manuel, 20 N.C. 144 (1838)

Sovereign people have rights and powers.

Subject citizens have government granted privileges and immunities.

Which one are you?

HAPPY TAX YEAR!

Before we kiss 2009 a fond farewell, with all its horrors, keep in mind what other goodies we leave behind -- tax breaks. We are now entering the tax part of Obama's 'Tax and Spend' plan. You know how he loves to say "My Plan'- we are going to feel the squeeze of the vice he has put our country in. Not that we haven't suffered that pinch already. Now it really starts.

Not extending the exclusion of tax on unemployment compensation benefits will hit hard, with 7 million people (officially) unemployed, along with not reducing estimated tax payments for small businesses. (I guess there is some positive, the other 7 to 11 million no longer employed but out of the system at least won’t have to pay the taxes.)

Whatever happens, we must keep up the momentum. Eleven months in politics is a long time, and the 2010 elections will be critical. Keeping a watchful eye on the machinations in Congress is like keeping the wheels oiled, and letting them know we are now watching how they do their job will also keep the pressure on them.

They are cleaning our clock, and it must be stopped.

The Heritage Foundation writes about these tax hits:

Happy Tax Year!
January 1, 2010

While millions of Americans are more than ready to put 2009 behind them, they should know that Congress failed to reauthorize dozens of tax breaks for individuals and businesses before the Members scurried home for the Holidays. These “expiring provisions” affect every American in one way or another as individuals or businesses. By allowing them to lapse, Congress has enacted tax increases at time when these taxpayers can least afford it.

The House has passed legislation (H.R. 4213) that would have extended 63 current tax provisions, but the Senate failed to bring this bill to a vote. Thus, all of these provisions expired at midnight last night. Notable provisions as reported today by Tax Notes include:

  • Deduction of state and local general sales taxes (section 164) (Personal Tax Incentives)
  • Additional standard deduction, up to $500 for individuals and $1,000 for couples, for state and local property taxes (section 63) (Personal Tax Incentives)
  • Research tax credit and alternative simplified credit (section 41) (General Business Tax Incentives)
  • New markets tax credit (section 45D) (Community Assistance Provisions)
  • Empowerment zone incentives (sections 1391 and 1202) (Community Assistance Provisions)
  • Renewal community tax incentives (sections 1400E, 1400F, 1400I, and 1400J) (Community Assistance Provisions)
  • District of Columbia Investment Incentives (sections 1400, 1400A, 1400B, and 1400C) (Community Assistance Provisions)
  • Net disaster loss designation and $500 limit per casualty for personal casualty losses attributed to federally declared natural disasters (section 165) (General Disaster Relief Provisions)
  • Expensing for qualified disaster expenses (section 198A) (General Disaster Relief Provisions)
  • Biodiesel and renewable diesel incentives (section 40A) (Energy Incentives)
  • Alternative motor vehicle credit for heavy hybrids (section 30B) (Energy Incentives)

Although the House has acted and passed its version of the Tax Extenders Act of 2009, the Senate failed to act on similar legislation, as a result the following additional key tax provisions will expire:
  • Increased exemption levels for the individual alternative minimum tax (section 55) and personal tax credits allowed against the AMT (section 26)
  • Exclusion of unemployment compensation benefits from gross income (section 85)
  • Alternative fuel mixture tax credit (section 6426(e))
  • Reduced estimated tax payments for small businesses (section 6654(d)(1)(D))

The Senate has had a lot on its plate this year. But it is still unacceptable that they have stalled on the chance to extend these tax provisions that affect every American. By allowing these tax provisions to expire, taxes will rise on many individuals and businesses, and for some of these groups, a punitively steep tax hike.

At the very least, we hope for a New Year’s Resolution from Congress that it acts swiftly in 2010 on passing legislation to amend and extend tax laws that assist every American individual and business which will lead to a stronger, robust economy.

Even better, would be if Congress reformed the entire tax code and brought us a tax system based on one rate, applied once to all income, and in a form every taxpayer can understand. However, that may be asking too much in one New Year’s Resolution.

Some things we can be thankful for is that God answered our prayers and stopped Obama (at least for now) from signing the Copenhagen Treaty and thereby ceding away our sovereignty through ClimateGate and then emphasizing the cooling trend to those slow learners by creating record snow storms in both Copenhagen and Washington DC on either end of the conference.

And thus far we have avoided the passing of Obamacare… and it can still be avoided. So rest up over the weekend and ready yourself for the continuation of the fight. Many have pressured their representatives and threatened them with loss of their offices, as they returned home for the holidays. So this fight is not over.

Cap and Trade … Tax and Gov’t Controlled healthcare will be the largest taxes and loss of freedoms this country has ever seen, making the other taxes listed above look like chump change and make us, the American people, look like the chumps!

Happy New Year From Glenn Beck…

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Oops—I didn’t mean to shout, I forget that a lot of people may have done a bit of celebrating last night. That’s something I don’t have to worry about anymore, but during my old “celebratory” days, I more than paid my morning-after dues.

Enough of all that - it’s out with the old and in with the new - congratulate yourself, you finally polished off all the Thanksgiving leftovers, found a new burial site for this year’s Christmas fruitcake from your Aunt Betsy, and made it to the other side of the big New Year’s Eve countdown. It’s the end of the first decade of the new millennium, and you’re here to tell the tale. I don’t have to tell you that it’s been a rough 10 years, but I believe that things will only get better. And you know what that means, facing the reality of some of those “resolutions” you kept toasting to last night. I did the same thing (who says you can’t “toast” with hot cocoa?) but I fear that I could celebrate this New Year, the Jewish New Year, the Chinese New Year, the Mayan New Year and whatever other calendar you feel like tossing in and I still wouldn’t get to all the resolutions I made. New Year’s resolutions are like going grocery shopping when you’re hungry—you always end up filling your cart with more than you can eat.

To give you an idea, here are just a few of this year’s resolutions:

I will not let President Obama’s power-mad dismantling of America make me crazy.

See, I know this one is going to be tough because just typing it again is making me crazy! I better move on, or one of my organs might explode (and now that I’ve had my appendix taken out, it might be one of the organs I need). Here’s another one:

I will take better care of myself.

Of course, in order for that to happen, they will have to stop making Peanut M&M’s, and in this economy I can’t bear to let that happen. And as for exercise, Santa didn’t bring me my requested “25th hour of the day,” so I don’t know when I’ll have time. I was thinking of hiring a new intern as my “exercise surrogate,” having them work out for me, but my doctors (and lawyers) still aren’t sure this will work. However, this last one I think I can accomplish:

I will turn every thought, feeling, idea, emotion, dream, memory, and waking moment into something you can listen to, watch, read, wear, or attend.

Okay, this is less an actual “resolution” and more “my job,” but let me tell you—I know what’s coming up this year and it’s going to be the best ever! You know we’ve been building toward something - with the TV and radio shows, Fusion magazine, the books, stage shows and simulcasts - and this year I’m taking things to that next level. 2010 is going to be BIG, and you’re going to play a huge part. And that’s one resolution I’ll have no trouble keeping: To do my best to bring you ideas and information that inform, entertain, and hopefully, inspire. I love my job, and I can’t wait to get back to work. It was an incredible 2009, but you ain’t seen nothing yet!

HAPPY NEW YEAR! (Ouch! I keep forgetting—sorry about the shouting),
