New House GOP Bill Delays ObamaCare By 1 Year – Approves Plan to Fund government, Delay ObamaCare by One Year! 9-28-2013 –Updated

Envisioning a Cruz Coalition

CBN News: Ted Cruz alongside Rev. Rob Schenck (from Faith and Action) and Rev. Frazier White (a Democrat and Obama supporter) praying for Saeed Abedini, who has been in an Iranian prison for one year. He is being persecuted for his faith in Jesus Christ.

By: Terresa Monroe-Hamilton  -  Cross-Posted at Right Wing News

This week, I had the honor and privilege of meeting one of my closest friends for the first time face to face — Trevor Loudon. We have worked together for years now on his first two books and will work together on many more. The next three years, with the ensuing two election cycles, will be the most grueling and crucial battles Americans have ever faced. Trevor Loudon is a patriot who has tirelessly fought for our freedoms from coast to coast. Both of us will fight until we can fight no more. Make sure you get a copy of Trevor’s latest book: “THE ENEMIES WITHIN: Communists, Socialists and Progressives in the U.S. Congress (Kindle)”.  Trevor exposes the underbelly of American politics and the Marxist infiltration that has brought us to the brink of disaster. Listen to a very wise Kiwi speaking in Oklahoma:

Video: Trevor Loudon - "The Enemies Within" - Tulsa Oklahoma - September 26th, 2013

We want the Progressives on the Right to know that your exposure is next. We will be thoroughly researching and documenting you. As this last week has shown, there are quite a few who have betrayed America and what the Conservative majority expected of them on Obamacare. Let’s name names:

  • Lamar Alexander (R-TN)
  • John Cornyn (R-TX)
  • Kelly Ayotte (R-NH)
  • Lindsey Graham (R-SC)
  • John Barrasso (R-WY)
  • John Hoeven (R-ND)
  • Roy Blunt (R-MO)
  • Johnny Isakson (R-GA)
  • John Boozman (R-AR)
  • Mike Johanns (R-NE)
  • Richard Burr (R-NC)
  • Ron Johnson (R-WI)
  • Saxby Chambliss (R-GA)
  • Mark Kirk (R-IL)
  • Jeff Chiesa (R-NJ)
  • John McCain (R-AZ)
  • Dan Coats (R-IN)
  • Mitch McConnell (R-KY)
  • Tom Coburn (R-OK)
  • Lisa Murkowksi (R-AK)
  • Thad Cochran (R-MS)
  • John Thune (R-SD)
  • Susan Collins (R-ME)
  • Roger Wicker (R-MS)
  • Bob Corker (R-TN)

In turn, we want to thank those that took a principled stand: Senators Vitter, Paul, Crapo, Enzi, Fischer, Roberts, Scott, Heller, Grassley, Toomey, Moran, Rubio, Shelby, Risch, Inhofe, Portman, and Sessions for standing with Cruz and Lee. We will remember what you did when the crunch came. Count on it.

As Sarah Palin said, 2014 is right around the corner:

Americans are getting slammed by Obamacare right now. Workforces are decimated as health care prices rise. Public opinion is on our side. If now was not the time to unite and fight it, when was? Those who are attacking Cruz and Lee’s efforts have forgotten how negotiations are won.

Use as an example the negotiations a governor of energy-rich Alaska must engage in with powerful multinational oil tycoons. In my experience, I found that the key to achieving success for the people you’re elected to serve is to take a firm position, stand solid, and negotiate from there when the other guy is ready to take you seriously. You fight as hard as you can with whatever small edge you’ve got until the other guy respects you enough to wise up, sit down, and come to a mutually acceptable agreement. You get nothing at all if you preemptively surrender before the battle even commences.

Imagine how much stronger the GOP’s hand would have been if every Republican (and those Democrats who’ve finally admitted Obamacare’s devastating flaws) stood together against cloture in order to prevent Harry Reid from cutting off debate and stripping Obamacare defunding from the bill?

Not only would there have been pressure on red state Democrats up for re-election to join the right cause, there would have been pressure on Reid and the White House to negotiate agreements. Even if the GOP couldn’t have defunded all of Obamacare, they could have negotiated some relief for average Americans who now feel they can do nothing but brace for the coming train wreck. We average Americans know we’ll never get the exemptions and favors Obama gave his political cronies and Congress, but any relief for the middle class would have been welcomed.

But Republicans got nothing from squabbling with each other and denouncing (on and off the record) the brave men who tried to do something.

How right she is. As the GOP looks towards its next steps on the budget ceiling and the faux dance of shutting down the government, patriots are watching — closely. We haven’t given up, gotten bored and walked away. Much as the Progressives on both sides of the aisle would like, we are still here and still fighting.

The attacks on Ted Cruz and the Tea Party are intensifying — from the Right and the Left — witness the likes of Peter King, John McCain and Tom Harkin:

As the clock ticks down toward a possible government shutdown, Sen. Tom Harkin, D-Iowa, isn’t holding back.

On the Senate floor before 10 a.m. Friday, the senator gave a speech describing how American politics have reached the level at which “a small group of willful men and women who have a certain ideology”—read: the tea party and Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas—have been able to take over the congressional budget debate in the last week. “Since they can’t get their way,” Harkin said, “they’re going to create this confusion and discourse and hope that the public will be so mixed up in who is to blame for this, that they’ll blame both sides.”

This isn’t just congressional business as usual, Harkin said. It’s much, much more dire:

It’s dangerous. It’s very dangerous. I believe, Mr. President, we are at one of the most dangerous points in our history right now. Every bit as dangerous as the break-up of the Union before the Civil War.

This isn’t the first time the senator has spoken out about the spiraling budget and the fight over Obamacare. Harkin suggested Thursday that Cruz looked “foolish” for his “little tirade” that lasted from Tuesday afternoon until Wednesday morning. Harkin called out Cruz as being part of “the most extreme tea-party wing” of his party, and for his “ideology-driven obstructionism.”

I respectively suggest that Senator Harkin stuff it.

Between being bought off, corrupt or just plain spineless, the RINOs attacking Cruz are disgusting. Their defeatist, roll-over-and-wet-yourself leadership is sickening. I loved a quote from Cruz during the filibuster; he hearkened back to Nazi Germany for those who have declared that Obamacare could not be defeated:

If we go to the 1940s, Nazi Germany—look, we saw it in Britain. Neville Chamberlain told the British people: Accept the Nazis. Yes, they will dominate the continent of Europe, but that is not our problem. Let’s appease them. Why? Because it can’t be done. We cannot possibly stand against them.

In America there were voices who listened to that; I suspect the same pundits who said it couldn’t be done. If this had happened in the 1940s, we would have been listening to them. Even then they would have made television. They would have gotten beyond the carrier pigeons and letters and they would have been on TV saying: You cannot defeat the Germans.

Trevor Loudon came up with a brilliant idea of envisioning a Cruz Coalition. He floated the idea in Oklahoma and it was met with thunderous applause. Consider the following Conservative Dream Team:

These are just suggestions. Every Conservative faction gets something out of this lineup. It is one that young and old, Libertarian and Independent can get behind. It takes a foreigner and a true friend to America to point out the obvious on how to fight back. As Trevor says, others could rise at any moment. But these are the ones we came up with for now. Why shouldn’t we have a Conservative Coalition? The Left does this all the time. Now is the time to organize and fight. Now is the time to throw at them the strongest leaders we have.

Remember, the American Revolution wasn’t won until the very end — almost the final battle. And it was divine intervention that won the war and freedom for this nation. Don’t you think it could happen again? We do. Help us envision the Cruz Coalition and feel free to make your own suggestions.

The Council Has Spoken!! This Weeks’ Watcher’s Council Results - 09.27.13

Ted Cruz – Man of the Hour

Senator Ted Cruz hit a nerve with and gave some hope to the ever growing, but now, 73% of the American people who wanted ObamaCare repealed, defunded or at least overhauled before it goes into affect.  He also gave Americans hope that someone in DC might be standing up for them. #MakeDCListen went viral before and during his filibuster, although technically declared a speech because of technical games by Senate Majority Leader and Obama Pawn Harry Reid. And you know what Senator Cruz was saying was true and scares the administration because they have been attacking him relentlessly, using  the Progressive (Alinsky) style motto… if  you can't beat someone on merit; misquote, lie, and obfuscate… with the help of the liberal media!

Sep 27th, 2013 by AskMarion -  The Watcher’s Council:

The Council has spoken, the votes have been cast and we have the results for this week’s Watcher’s Council match-up.

“You can’t hit what you can’t see” – Hall of Famer Walter Johnson

“Do not say the Dark Lord’s name!” – Professor Snape, in ‘Harry Potter and The Order of the Phoenix” by J.K. Rowling

This week’s winner, The Right Planet’s Defining the Enemy — Islamic Terror, is an excellent look at what happens when people, for whatever reason, are victims of what psychiatrists call ‘category error,’ the inability to solve problems because of the difficulty in properly defining or naming them. Here’s a slice:

Fight them; Allah will torture them by your hands and will disgrace them and give you victory over them and satisfy the chests of a believing people. He will remove the rage from their hearts. Allah turns to anyone he wills. Allah is all-knowing, all-wise. (Qur’an 9:14).

You know, I’m getting sick and tired listening to leaders from both sides of the political spectrum try and blow sunshine up our collective posteriors when it comes to Islamic terrorism. Just as I have predicted all along, there’s not going to be any “moderate” Free Syrian Army. For all the radical leftists out there who have deluded their minds into believing Zuccotti-style democracy is going to take hold in places like Libya, Tunisia, Egypt, Yemen and Syria … well, they need to extricate themselves from the very murky, dark place in which they find themselves so firmly and perpetually ensconced.

Churchill’s words are about as politically incorrect as you could can get these days. That’s why the truth they contain hits hard. Islam is a theo-political movement of conquest, period. It always has been, and always will be, “until the faith of Islam ceases to be a great power among men.”

Churchill’s words are about as politically incorrect as you could can get these days. That’s why the truth they contain hits hard. Islam is a theo-political movement of conquest, period. It always has been, and always will be, “until the faith of Islam ceases to be a great power among men.”

And herein lies the problem, in my opinion: the whole notion of a “war on terror” misses the mark. What we are talking about is a “war on Islamic terrorism.” If one cannot define the enemy, then one does not know thine enemy. If one does not know thine enemy, then one cannot defeat the enemy.

I realize there are Muslims who could be described as “moderate” or “peaceful.” But, quite frankly, their silence is deafening regarding the astonishing brutality exhibited by terrorist organizations like al-Qaeda, al-Nusra, Boko Harem, al-Shabab, Muslim Brotherhood, Hamas, Hezbollah, Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIS), Lions of Tahwid, and plethora of like-minded Islamic terrorist groups waging “jihad against the infidel” across the globe today.

It’s not that terrorist groups like al-Qaeda et al. have hijacked the religion of Islam–quite the opposite. Islamic terrorists see themselves as true fundamentalists who are faithfully carrying out the commands Allah and his prophet–specifically, to wage war against the unbelievers–the infidels. There is no greater accomplishment, according to the Koran, than to die the death of a martyr in jihad against the infidel. When Osama Bin Laden said that Americans love life while Muslims love death, it is in reference to the Koran’s promise of paradise for the martyr.

More at the link.

In our non-Council category, the winner was Victor Davis Hanson with Our Truest Lies, submitted by Joshuapundit. It’s a trenchant examination of what can best be called ‘progressive legends and myths.’ Do read it.

At the end of John Ford’s classic Western, The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance, the editor of the local paper decides not to print the truth about who really killed the murderous Valance. “When the legend becomes fact, print the legend.”Aaron_Alexis-FBI_Image

Legends now become facts in America at almost lightning speed. Often when lies are asserted as truth, they become frozen in time. Even the most damning later exposure of their falsity never quite erases their currency. As Jonathan Swift sighed, “Falsehood flies, and the truth comes limping after it.”

After the recent shooting tragedy at the Washington Navy Yard, cable news shows, newspaper reports, and talking heads immediately blasted lax gun laws. The killer, Aaron Alexis, had mowed down 20 innocent people — twelve of them fatally — with yet again the satanic AR-15 semi-automatic “assault” rifle. The mass murdering was supposedly more proof of the lethal pathologies of the National Rifle Association and the evil shooter crowd that prevents good people from enacting proper gun-control laws. Once more an iconic tragedy had the chance — in a way that even the near-simultaneous shooting of 13 in Chicago did not — to energize the nation to do the right thing and ensure that no other such mayhem would follow.

# #

Then the assault weapon vanished into fantasy. Instead, over the course of the week, it was slowly learned that the unhinged Alexis had somehow passed at least two background checks, legally bought a shotgun, modified it, and for 30 minutes shot and reloaded it to slaughter the innocent. Are we to outlaw the owning of shotguns despite background checks and lawful purchases? Vice President Joe Biden, remember, had recently urged Americans to obtain old-fashioned, all-American shotguns for protection rather than dangerous semi-automatic assault rifles. If a shotgun could be used to commit mass murder in the middle of a military installation, how could any gun-control law, short of the confiscation of all guns, ensure that such heinous crimes could not be repeated?

# #

We are left not with the truth that Aaron Alexis bought a shotgun to murder, but with the conjecture that he could have bought legally an AR-15 and therefore in some sense figuratively did — despite the later and less publicized corrections. If it takes some mythologies about Matthew Shepard to expose the plague of homophobia, why indict a noble lie to promote an ignoble truth? What difference does it make what actually happened between shooter Wesley Cook and slain officer Daniel Faulkner, when the Mumia myth serves larger agencies of social change?

Like Orwell’s dead souls, we live in an age of statist mythology, in which unpleasant facts are replaced by socially useful lies. So we print the legend that better serves our fantasies.  Read more at the link.

Okay, here are this week’s full results. Both The Mellow Jihadi and Rhymes With Right were unable to vote this week, but neither was subject to the usual 2/3 vote penalty:

Egypt Court Outlaws The Muslim Brotherhood

JoshuaPundit: An Egyptian court has issued orders banning the Muslim Brotherhood as well as "any institution branching out of it or ... receiving financial support from it" and ordered the confiscation of all of its "assets, funds and buildings".

This is a huge blow to Egypt's Islamist fascists, because The Brotherhood depends on social welfare organizations that it funds to build up grassroots political support. Even during the time the Brotherhood was officially banned, the Mubarak regime allowed a number of these organizations to continue operating. My guess is that the interim government plans to get rid of the Brotherhood once and for all, to the extent that's possible.

Oddly enough, the verdict not as a diktat from the al-Sissi interim government but from a lawsuit raised by lawyers from the leftist party Tagammu party, accusing the Brotherhood of being a "terrorist" and "exploiting religion in political slogans."

Still to come is the trial of Morsi, al-Badie and other Brotherhood figures. One fact that has emerged recently is that among other things, deposed Brotherhood President Morsi is supposed to have put out a contract on General Al-Sissi prior to Morsi's ouster and arrest.

Fox News:

CAIRO – An Egyptian court on Monday ordered the Muslim Brotherhood to be banned and its assets confiscated in a dramatic escalation of a crackdown by the military-backed government against supporters of the ousted Islamist president Mohammed Morsi.

The ruling opens the door for a wider crackdown on the vast network of the Brotherhood, which includes social organizations that have been key for building the group's grassroots support and helping its election victories. The verdict banned the group itself -- including the official association it registered under earlier this year -- as well as "any institution branching out of it or ... receiving financial support from it," according to the court ruling, made public on Egypt's state official news agency MENA.

The judge at the Cairo Court for Urgent Matters also ordered the "confiscation of all the group's money, assets, and buildings" and said that an independent committee should be formed by the Cabinet to manage the money until final court orders are issued. The verdict can be appealed.

The Brotherhood was outlawed for most of its 85 years in existence. But after the 2011 ouster of autocrat Hosni Mubarak, it was allowed to work openly, formed a political party and rose to power in a string of post-Mubarak elections. In March, it registered as a recognized non-governmental organization.

"This is totalitarian decision," leading group member Ibrahim Moneir said in an interview with Qatari-based Al-Jazeera Mubashir Misr TV. "You are losers and it (the Brotherhood) will remain with God's help, not by the orders by the judiciary of el-Sissi," he added, referring to military chief Gen. Abdel-Fattah el-Sissi, who led the overthrow of Morsi on July 3.

The court did not immediately make public the grounds for its ruling. The verdict came in a suit raised by lawyers from the leftist party Tagammu party, accusing the Brotherhood of being a "terrorist" and "exploiting religion in political slogans." Several other courts are looking into similar suits.

Perhaps it is time for us to start looking at the Muslim Brotherhood and its tentacles within the U.S. government.  As a country like Egypt outlaws this pseudo-religion group, we have a President whose Brother is linked to this dangerous organization  and our former secretary of state and a possible 2016 Democrat Presidential candidate, Hillary Clinton, has a personal aid, Huma Mahmood Abedin (Weiner) whose family if not personally, is part of Brotherhood leadership.

Please Call, Fax, Tweet and Email your Senator first thing today!! Tell Your Senator to Vote Against Cloture!

Mr. Cruz, Ted Cruz, goes to Washington:

Americans who despair of the future of our country will receive a welcome shot of hope today, as a brave man stands up for freedom no matter the cost.

Texas Senator Ted Cruz is speaking on the Senate floor, vowing to talk against ObamaCare 'until I can stand no more.'

He began at 2:41 p.m. ET, and can talk up until noon tomorrow, when under the Senate rules he has to stop, and the Senate would proceed to vote on ending debate and bringing the spending bill to the floor.

This isn't technically a filibuster, unfortunately. Harry Reid saw to that by quickly locking in the floor schedule early Monday, and that forces the chamber to vote by Wednesday (this) afternoon.

“I want to disabuse everyone. There will be no filibuster today,” Mr. Reid said as he opened the Senate floor action for the day.

I want to reiterate the political games going on here. Cruz supports the House bill defunding ObamaCare, but if Democrat majority leader Harry Reid can get 60 votes for cloture in order to end debate, Reid can pass a new budget that funds ObamaCare by a simple majority and send it back to the House. If Reid can't get cloture, the budget bill stays in the Senate and forces Reid and the Democrats to publicly own both ObamaCare and the onus for shutting the government down.

The RINOs in the Senate are going to try to fool you by voting for cloture to shaft Cruz and the conservatives, and then cast a symbolic, futile vote for the doomed bill, so they can go home in 2014 and lie to you about how they 'voted against ObamaCare'.

Don't let them do it.

Call, e-mail, fax and tweet your senators and let them them know you understand this scam, and that a vote for cloture on their part is a vote for ObamaCare.

You can watch (or at least listen to) Senator Cruz live here. The link may take a while to load. That alone should tell you America is tuning in. Or go to C-SPAN2 on your TV.

As I post this at 5:54a.m. ET, Ted Cruz is still going strong!!
