Lighten Up Eeyore, The Pollsters Don't Even Agree With Each Other

Political Cartoons by Jerry Holbert

TPN: Sadly, this obsession over what has to be the most misunderstood science in all of American life has become a ritual, with a life all its own. So, now the depression is full bore, and even people on the Republican side are beginning to show signs of depression, despite all of our solid promises to ourselves and each other that this year, we would not fall for this lunacy, no matter what. If you really believe that the worst President in our Nation's history, the man who's policy of appeasement has seen a quarter of our embassies around the world set ablaze, the man who's domestic policies have shut down all domestic energy production on federal lands, the man who's economic policies have made him the first President since Herbert Hoover to see less Americans working after a full term in office than on the day he was sworn into office, will win the election by 8 to 10 points, then I happen to be in possession of the Brooklyn Bridge, and would be willing to sell.

What is most perplexing to me about the devotion to the polls is this. If the polls were at all accurate, they would be very close to delivering us the same numbers. If that were the case, nobody would be logging onto the Real Clear Politics website in order to see what the daily average of all the polls had to say about the daily average of all polls where every poll should be mirroring the daily average.

Consider this also, after every election cycle, all of the polls are ranked in accuracy, and surprisingly, none of the polls being quoted anywhere by anyone are ever close to the top of that list. Rasmussen and Zogby will typically rank 1 and 2, and neither will be discussed on the evening news. We'll discuss both of these companies later, and why they get closer than the other more famous members of the polling community.

What is a better predictor of election results is history, and in that spirit, Dick Morris has an analysis that is probably much more predictive than anything you'll see in the polls. In his article, Dick Morris combines an historical perspective with the polling results to give us what I believe to be one of the best predictive analyses available

So here’s where the race really stands today based on Rasmussen’s polling:

• Romney leads decisively in all states McCain carried (173 electoral votes).
• Romney is more than ten points ahead in Indiana – which Obama carried. (11 electoral votes)
• Romney leads Obama in the following states the president carried in 2008: Iowa (44-47) North Carolina (45-51), Colorado (45-47), and New Hampshire (45-48).

He’ll probably win them all. (34 electoral votes).

This comes to 218 of the 270 Romney needs. But…

• Obama is below 50% of the vote in a handful of key swing states and leads Romney by razor thin margins in each one. All these states will go for Romney unless and until Obama can show polling support of 50% of the vote:
• Obama leads in Ohio (47-46) and Virginia (49-48) by only 1 point (31 electoral votes)
• Obama leads in Florida (48-46) and Nevada (47-45) by only 2 points (35 electoral votes)
If Romney carries Ohio, Virginia, and Florida, he wins. And other states are in play.
• Obama leads in Wisconsin (49-46) by only 3 points (10 electoral votes)
• Obama’s lead in Michigan is down to four points according to a recent statewide poll
• Obama is only getting 51% of the vote in Pennsylvania and 53% in New Jersey. And don’t count out New Mexico.
It would be accurate to describe the race now as tied. But Romney has the edge because:
• The incumbent is under 50% in key states and nationally. He will probably lose any state where he is below 50% of the vote.
• The Republican enthusiasm and likelihood of voting is higher
• The GOP field organization is better.
That’s the real state of play today.

When a pollster conducts his interviews, he does not contact only the number of people reported in the headline. They will usually contact 3 to 4 times that number of people. You will also not see the actual breakdown of how people responded in the headline. What you see, his finished product, will be a weighted average based on what the pollster feels will be the demographic distribution of who will ultimately vote, in other words, his guess.

Typically, when interviews are conducted, a voting model of demographic distribution exists before hand. A certain percentage of women, men, breakdowns by age, race, religion, party affiliation, etc. Then percentages of how each demographic would vote is the information gleaned from the polling interviews. For instance, pretty much all of the pollsters agree today that Barack Obama would win 85% of the democrats who voted, and Mitt Romney would likely garner 86% of the Republicans who voted. What is in dispute is how the voting demographic will break down. How many 18 to 21 year old kids this time? Four years ago, that demographic turned out huge for Barack Obama, now that 50% of them have remained unemployed for the entirety of Barack Obama's term in office, and they are 4 years older, will they turn out in the same force? Will today's crop of 18 to 21 year old voters vote in similar fashion as their counterparts from 4 years ago? Typically, this demographic has an abhorrent track record when it comes to voting.
What you have at the end of the day is this. Polls are only going to be as accurate as their predictions as to what the demographic make up of the actual voting sample turns out to be. What PPP, Marist, Quinipiac, USA Today, are telling us with their samples is that the voting make up this year will look exactly as the make up looked in 2008. In 2008, Goerge W. Bush was despised almost universally, albeit unjustly, and the Democrats in our country were hyped up as never before for their man Barack Obama. He was viewed as somewhat of a messianic figure during the height of the hopety change fervor that had gripped the nation's dopes. My fellow citizens were chanting, in a scene that came straight out of 1930's Germany. What these polls are telling us, is that America is still in that mood today.

Think about this for one moment. Compare the size of the crowds traveling to see Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan. Consider the difference in size of the Tea Party crowds to the faked inhabited tents of the Occupests. Twice since the convention, and once during it, Barack Obama was forced to change venues to something smaller due to a lack of attendance.

Pollster Scott Rasmussen has the best solution to the party id problem. He weights his polls to reflect the unweighted party identification of the previous three weeks, so he has a dynamic model which adjusts for sampling error but still takes account of gradual changes in the electorate’s partisan preferences.

First off, Rasmussen asks the question up front, do you plan on voting. This alone gives his poll an accuracy that the others lack. Registered voter polls include a bias towards the demographics who typically do not vote. Next, Rasmussen uses a different interview process to gain some understanding of what this year's model will actually resemble, without relying on data from 4 years ago. One of the things Rasmussen has found, through polling independent of the question of who will we be voting for, is that people who self identify as Republican is at an all time high. People who self identify as Democrat is at a near historic low. This does not exactly lead one to the conclusion that 2008's record turnout of every Democrat demographic feels that same enthusiasm today, and indeed feels it to an even greater degree.

In the case of Zogby this year, kudos for changing methodology to reflect changes in the level of technology available to citizens. My fear is that he does not yet have a handle of how to accurately utilize his new methodology. Zogby has been extremely quiet this election cycle, and now we all know why. Rather than conducting phone interviews, John Zogby and his company conducted on line interviews. I have seen far too many of these types of polls skewed purposefully, not by the polling companies, but by spammers with an agenda finding holes in the programming sufficient to deliver a result desired. the perfect examples of this were highlighted in 2008, when any online poll of the Republican Primary race showed Ron Paul with support ranging from 70% to 80% of any sample, while he consistently garnered only 2% of the actual vote. I am not saying that Zogby has not found a way to combat this, but his only poll to date this year seems to be somewhat of an outlier, even when compared to the others. I wish John Zogby the best in getting a handle on his new methodology, if successful, it should be a quantum leap in the art.

At this point during the election of 1980, Jimmy Carter supposedly had an 8 point lead over Ronald Reagan. I realize that Mitt Romney is no Ronald Reagan, but neither is Barack Obama a Jimmy Carter. I am not one of those people who will jump up and down to swear that this is some nefarious plot on the part of all things liberal. I just believe the pollsters to be dead wrong, and that would not make the first time either. In 2004, NBC announced at about noon on election day that our 44th President would be John Kerry, based on their exit polls, which had the benefit of an accurate voting sample.

The Real War on Women

While attacking Romney, Obama continues to largely ignore abuses in the Muslim world

Women in Istanbul, Turkey.

FINBARR O'REILLY/REUTERS  - Women in Istanbul, Turkey

NY Daily News:

For the greater part of this election cycle, we’ve heard a good deal from the left about a fictional Republican “war on women.” Everyone from President Obama himself to Georgetown-law-student-turned-Democratic-mouthpiece Sandra Fluke has tried to convince female voters that Mitt Romney is hostile to the female portion of the electorate.

But thousands of miles away, there is a real war on women. It is one that Obama and his supporters would prefer to ignore.

In the same region where four Americans, including U.S. Ambassador to Libya Christopher Stevens, were brutally murdered on Sept. 11, women suffer each and every day. Radical Islamic thugs were behind the fatal attack in Benghazi, as well as the riots that spread across the Middle East; Muslim females, however, are persecuted and oppressed not by terrorists, but by their own communities, governments and even families.

Obtaining insurance-covered contraceptives (a big concern for the American left) is the least of these women’s worries. Instead, females in many Muslim countries are focused on having their bodies fully covered from head to toe, aren’t allowed to drive and cannot leave their homes without the supervision of a male family member. Laws and cultural norms vary from country to country, but it is undeniable that, as a whole, the Muslim world has a serious problem with how women are treated.

In the wake of the 9/11 attacks, Time magazine investigated this problem in an article called “The Women of Islam,” a piece that remains relevant today. It diagnoses the problem as a profound one, dating back centuries: “The Koran allots daughters half the inheritance of sons. It decrees that a woman’s testimony in court, at least in financial matters, is worth half that of a man’s. Under Shari’a, or Muslim law, compensation for the murder of a woman is half the going rate for men.

“In many Muslim countries, these directives are incorporated into contemporary law. For a woman to prove rape in Pakistan, for example, four adult males of ‘impeccable’ character must witness the penetration, in accordance with Shari’a,” writes Lisa Beyer.

And while all religions must grapple with how to integrate ancient texts, with their sometimes-outdated notions, into modern life, the Muslim world seems to have done far too little in this regard,

Take, for example, Islam’s attitude toward domestic abuse, with the Koran (sura 4:34), which has been “interpreted to say that men have ‘pre-eminence’ over women or that they are ‘overseers’ of women and that the husband of an insubordinate wife should first admonish her, then leave her to sleep alone and finally beat her,” as Beyer chillingly wrote.

Not much has changed in the decade or so since. It was only two years ago when Time magazine ran the horrific and now infamous cover picture of, Aisha, an Afghan woman with her nose and ears cut off by the Taliban for fleeing her abusive in laws.

There is no excuse for this kind of medieval behavior in the 21st century. And yet it goes on. As Riffat Hassan, professor of religious studies at the University of Louisville, told Beyer, “The way Islam has been practiced in most Muslim societies for centuries has left millions of Muslim women battered bodies, minds and souls.”

The Arab Spring, which Obama has celebrated, has hardly been a boon for women. In fact, quite the opposite. “For many Egyptian women, sexual harassment — which sometimes turns into violent mob-style attacks — is a daily fact of life,” reports the BBC. One blogger calls the harassment of women in the post-Moammar Khadafy Libya as “out of control.”

It seems, then, that the “revolutions” in the region have only empowered fanatics to take their misogyny further out into the open. To her credit, Secretary of State Clinton has acknowledged this violence, but Obama has largely ignored it, even seemingly aligning himself with the culprits by hosting the Muslim Brotherhood at the White House.

Writes Mark Whittington for Yahoo, “It seems the Obama administration is capable of accusing Republicans of hating women for not wanting to see the Catholic Church hand out free birth control contrary to the Church’s doctrine. While it is doing this, it is treating with a terrorist group that has as its governing platform the imposition of Shari’a Law, which would send Egyptian women into lives of degradation and oppression.”

Worst of all is that thousands of Muslim women have suffered from female genital mutilation if they don’t comply with these strict rules or have been the victim of honor killings — murders conducted by spouses or family members in the event of misbehavior. There is a growing trend of honor killings happening in the U.S., as well.

This, too, demands attention from the administration. But the silence has been deafening.

Let’s not even wade into the issue of homosexuality, which can be met with death or imprisonment in many Muslim countries — yet Obama supporters are preoccupied with painting the right as anti-gay for opposing gay marriage, a position President Obama and Joe Biden held until recently.

But the left would rather forget these inconvenient truths. The Obama administration is comfortable railing against Mitt Romney, Paul Ryan and some Republicans for sticking to their peaceful religious beliefs, traditional though they may be, but refuses to call out the Muslim world for sticking to its own outdated prejudices.

In fact, when he went to Cairo in 2009, Obama praised Islam for sharing the West’s principles of “justice and progress; tolerance and the dignity of all human beings.” He is clearly uncomfortable admitting that there are violent strains of Islam that want nothing more than to hurt not only Americans, but women living in their own countries.

Rather than appease the violent strains of religious extremism, Americans of all political affiliations (as well as peaceful Muslims) should band together for what we support: the advancement of women and tolerance for everyone. Radical Islam is a threat to more than just females; it’s determined to kill and to eradicate freedom all over the world.

The real issue is the tolerance of the intolerant. If President Obama, many on the left and the media truly cared about women’s rights, they would acknowledge the real war on women instead of tip-toeing around it for political gain. A true champion of women’s rights stands up for all women, all of the time, not just when it’s expedient in an election year.

What really died at Auschwitz ?

Here's an interesting viewpoint The following is a copy of an article written by Spanish writer Sebastian Vilar Rodrigez and published in a Spanish newspaper on Jan. 15 2011. It doesn't take much imagination to extrapolate the message to the rest of Europe - and possibly to the rest of the world.

By Sebastian Vilar Rodrigez

"I walked down the street in Barcelona and suddenly discovered a terrible truth - Europe died in Auschwitz ... We killed six million Jews and replaced them with 20 million Muslims. In Auschwitz we burned a culture, thought, creativity, talent. We destroyed the chosen people, truly chosen, because they produced great and wonderful people who changed the world.

The contribution of this people is felt in all areas of life: science, art, international trade, and above all, as the conscience of the world.

These are the people we burned.

And under the pretense of tolerance, and because we wanted to prove to ourselves that we were cured of the disease of racism, we opened our gates to 20 million Muslims, who brought us stupidity and ignorance, religious extremism and lack of tolerance, crime and poverty, due to an unwillingness to work and support their families with pride.

They have blown up our trains and turned our beautiful Spanish cities into the third world, drowning in filth and crime. Shut up in the apartments they receive free from the government, they plan the murder and destruction of their naive hosts.

And thus, in our misery, we have exchanged culture for fanatical hatred, creative skill for destructive skill, intelligence for backwardness and superstition. We have exchanged the pursuit of peace of the Jews of Europe and their talent for a better future for their children, their determined clinging to life because life is holy, for those who pursue death, for people consumed by the desire for death for themselves and others, for our children and theirs.

What a terrible mistake was made by miserable Europe .

A lot of Americans have become so insulated from reality that they imagine America can suffer defeat without any inconvenience to themselves. Recently, the UK debated whether to remove The Holocaust from its school curriculum because it 'offends' the Muslim population which claims it never occurred. It is not removed as yet. However, this is a frightening portent of the fear that is gripping the world and how easily each country is giving in to it.

It is now more than sixty years after the Second World War in Europe ended. This e-mail is being sent as a memorial chain, in memory of the six million Jews, twenty million Russians, ten million Christians, and nineteen-hundred Catholic priests who were 'murdered, raped, burned, starved, beaten, experimented on and humiliated.' Now, more than ever, with Iran , among others, claiming the Holocaust to be 'a myth,' it is imperative to make sure the world never forgets.

How many years will it be before the attack on the World Trade Center 'NEVER HAPPENED' because it offends some Muslim in the United States ? If our Judeo-Christian heritage is offensive to Muslims, they should pack up and move to Iran , Iraq or some other Muslim country.

The Reality of 2012 Voter Turnout: The White Voter

Battleground Watch:

The largest divergence among conservative and liberal polling critics this election is the debate over who will actually show up at the voting booth this November. Differences between the amounts of Democrats versus Republicans included in the poll are frequent. But embedded in each of these assumptions are questions on the racial make-up and how that varies from election to election. Democrats consistently talk about the “coalition of the ascendant” where the fastest growing segments of the population are minorities. As such they make up an ever-increasing segment of the voting population but also vote overwhelmingly in favor of Democrats. With a shrinking white population and a growing minority population Democrats argue demography as destiny and count on political majorities for the coming generation. That may be true if everything in life moves in a straight line (it doesn’t) but is that true today?

This is the bone of contention between the competing Presidential campaigns and critics of today’s polls. Democrats want to argue the steep increase in minority percentage of the voting electorate from 2008 election was a fundamental shift in the electorate whereas Republicans want to argue the steep increases were a one-off bounce. Both agree on the general direction of the trend. Neither agree how severe that trend will be in 2012. This disagreement is the basis for Democrat over-confidence and lopsided polling today in an election where the two candidates are most likely within 1-2% of one another.

What’s missing in all this analysis is who did not show up in the 2008 election: White voters. Looking back at those results, every voter turnout rate by race (relative to eligible population) was up versus 2004 except the white vote according to Pew Research (April 30, 2009). Blacks were up +4.9%, Hispanics were up +2.7%, Asians were up +2.4%. But the percentage of White voters who showed up at the polls relative to who was eligible dropped -1.1% (Census Bureau, Current Population Survey, May 2010). This has nothing to do with minorities making up more or less of the electorate. This is simply saying from 2004 to 2008 White voter registration (which actually dropped 104k) and actual turnout of White voters (which increased 500k) did not keep up with voting age White population increases.

Within this drop of White voter turnout, over 3x as many men as women comprised those voters staying home in the election. This happened for any number of reasons ranging from a disinterested national party to a disorganized Presidential campaign to a demoralized voting block–all are true. But the bottom line is one of the advantages Barack Obama enjoyed in 2008 was that a meaningful percentage of white voters simply stayed home in 2008. Side note: for anyone who wants to pin the depressed turnout on racism, wouldn’t the opposite have occurred in 2008 if racism really were a motivating factor in the white turnout?

Where this trips up the Obama campaign.

In 2008 Democrats achieved incredible levels of voter registration and turnout of this “coalition of the ascendent” such that Blacks, Hispanics and Asians made up 24% of the voting electorate — all historic highs. Bolstering the appearance of Democrat advantage are countless media stories reporting on Mitt Romney’s struggle appealing to minority groups. Little attention is paid to Barack Obama’s (and Democrat candidates before him) difficulty appealing to White voters who made up 74% of the electorate. Such historic minority levels for the composition of the electorate are predicated on a demoralized and ineligible (meaning unregistered) white population much like in 2008, as demonstrated above.

If John McCain achieved a white voter turnout rate equal to George Bush in 2004, that would have meant 1.7 million more White votes. While all of these votes would not have gone to McCain (nor were they all in battleground states), a super-majority of these voters likely would have voted Republican considering the make-up of the missing voter (white male — Obama’s worst demographic) and the motivated nature of the Obama voter in 2008 (i.e. if they were Obama supporters, only a scant few percent would have stayed home). Those missing votes would have been more than enough to flip the results in any of North Carolina (14k), Indiana (28.5k,), Nevada (121k), Iowa (146k), Colorado (195k), Virginia (234k), Florida (237k) or Ohio (260k) where Obama’s victory margin (in parentheses) is based on a 43% vote share of a decreased turnout.

Today Barack Obama receives approximately 40% of the White vote in polls but often dips below this level especially when polls fail to massively over-sample Democrats. The President is also facing an increasingly enthusiastic bloc of White voters motivated to vote against him (this shows up in every survey) based on his poor record in office. Additionally, Republicans have aggressively targeted the above mentioned states with voter registration efforts reversing or seriously muting the registration advantage Obama enjoyed in 2008. Net gains for Republicans voter registrations in Nevada (53k), Iowa (140k), Colorado (91k) and Florida (240k) all speak to a very different and Republican electorate in those states. On top of registration, voter contacts from the Romney campaign surpassed 26 million eligible voters across the battleground states to date. This is as much as 10-15x as much as the McCain 2008 campaign. This does not dismiss the aggressive and active Obama re-election effort but it simply points out that compared to 2008 he is no longer battling an unarmed opponent.

All of this is to say when David Axelrod or similar Obama campaign talking heads argue aggressively for polls with a racial composition at meaningfully greater minority levels than the 2008 historic turnout, there is another side of that coin and it works heavily against the turnout models of both the Obama campaign and of the vast majority of polls being published today.

Want things to change? Help educate people and help get out the conservative, independent, evangelical and white vote!! Many are not registered.

Cui Prodest? – Who Stands To Gain From “The Innocence of Muslims” Film?

By: Aeneas Lavinium - ICLA - Cross-Posted at the NoisyRoom and AskMarion

Was the controversial “The Innocence of Muslims” film a false flag operation designed to undermine freedom of expression in the West?

A rather interesting article on the issue of the authorship of the film has recently been published by Walid Shoebat. [1] In many ways the article makes a lot of sense. Please take some time to read his essay which can be found HERE.

The video which resulted in rampaging mobs running around the streets in opposition to freedom of expression has resulted in Western leaders giving only a lukewarm defense of freedom of expression. It seems that the video could turn out to be the excuse for Western governments to finally give in to the demands of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) for a global blasphemy law. This is despite the fact that freedom of expression is what guarantees freedom of religion. Falling back to the human rights ‘standards’ of some OIC member states will do nothing to serve either freedom, but it will allow governments to clamp down on dissent!

The last riots on this scale took place during the “Danish Cartoons Crisis” and for similar reasons. Those events ushered in increased suppression of freedom of expression in the West. Perhaps the Muslim Brotherhood and their fellow travellers thought that was time to diminish freedom of expression still further using similar tactics. The Danish Cartoons were published on 30 September 2005, but the protests did not break out until January and February 2006. [2] It seems that the lack of spontaneity was the result of the tour by Danish Imams in the Middle East who deliberately stirred things up. [2]

After the way the Danish Cartoons riots were orchestrated it would come as no surprise if the “Innocence of Muslims” film was the product of a false flag operation. Was it actually a project of the Muslim Brotherhood? Were Western Governments who proved to be very effective allies of the Muslim Brotherhood in the ‘Arab Spring’ involved in some way? Both seemed to have a lot to gain from the film, and both seem now to be pushing for payment. Of course such ‘theories’ are mere speculation at this time, but they are certainly compelling when you look about who stands to gain.

Mr. Shoebat, himself a former member of the Muslim Brotherhood, certainly has a unique perspective on their operations. Even though he has turned his back on them and become a peace activist his insights are still valid, he knows how they think and how they work. It is good that the Western world has an informed person like Mr. Shoebat to shine light onto these matters.

In his essay, Walid Shoebat considers the motivations of the film maker(s) and makes the following important point:

“Why would any anti-Islam Christian or even Jewish activist want the destruction of his own? It makes zero sense, unless of course this person intends to do harm to his real enemies—Israel and the Copts.” [1]

The plight of the Copts is something that ICLA is deeply concerned about. The Copts are the descendants of the Ancient Egyptians. Since the Islamic conquest of Egypt their proportion of the population has declined dramatically and today are a persecuted minority in their own country. Their plight has got even worse in the aftermath of the Western supported ‘Sharia Spring.’ Why then would a person of a purportedly Coptic background make matters even worse for his kith and kin back in Egypt? Of course Western politicians have not used the film as an opportunity to make statements about the mistreatment of the Copts. They are too busy making excuses for the violent mobs who prowl the streets – it is clear that Western politicians don’t give a damn about religious minorities in the Islamic world!

Mr. Shoebat concludes his article as follows:

“The results of this entire fiasco will not be the apprehension of terrorists, but the continual chipping away at the First-Amendment, since Americans by and large are still practicing the art of self-blame while they ignore the real culprits who enter our country with the intent of doing it much harm.” [1]

The implications of what is revealed in the Shoebat article opens up the possibility that contradictions and clandestine skulduggery are being kept from public view. Again we ask the question – Cui Prodest?

Obama Voters: Just how dumb are they?

It's really sad to see the state that this country is in. Millions of people drank the Barack Obama kool-aid and grabbed on to "hope and change" as if it were some kind of actual policy. Now, when the economy is a mess, and we see Obama's glaring deficiencies on the world stage, there are still people who will vote for him no matter what. Let's take a look at a few...

First, check out this outrageous video. The video is an interview with a number of people regarding the terrorist attacks in Libya which claimed the lives of four Americans. Many of the people in the video are not Obama supporters, but check out the ones who are!

Here's a sample:

-- "I give respect to those people in Libya who shot that diplomat because at least somebody -- there's somebody not -- murder, it isn't the way to go. But Libya has just stood up and said that, 'We're not gonna these drones in our country anymore attacking our kids.'"

-- My response is "who cares." He's one man (referring to murdered U.S. Ambassador Chris Stevens).

Are these people for real? Unfortunately, yes! But it gets even worse. Howard Stern recently interviewed a number of Obama supporters. Here are some examples of their responses:

-- He got the medical thing goin. He got most of the job like he said he was. You know what I'm sayin'.

-- (Do you think he will eventually find and kill bin Laden?) Answer: He'll eventually do it.

-- (Do you think Obama made the right choice by choosing Paul Ryan as his vice president?) Yes.

-- (Do you think he picked Paul Ryan because he's African American or because he's qualified?) It could be a little bit of both.

These people vote! It's incredible. It's no wonder that Obama just throws out feel-good phrases, because that's all he needs to do. If people have no idea what's going on, maybe they should just stay at home and NOT vote!

Are these people for real? Unfortunately, yes! But it gets even worse. Howard Stern recently interviewed a number of Obama supporters. Here are some examples of their responses:

America needs Day of Atonement

Exclusive: Joseph Farah urges Christians to commemorate the Feasts of Yahweh

They call it a Jewish holiday – Yom Kippur.

It’s the Day of Atonement, all right, but it’s not just for Jews. As Leviticus 23 makes clear, today is not a Jewish holiday, it’s one of the Feasts of the Lord, or, more precisely, one of the Feasts of Yahweh.

In other words, it’s for everyone who believes in the One True God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.

Christians should especially find it appealing, since they believe in the forgiveness of sins by the one they consider to be the Jewish Messiah.

What has become increasingly clear to be in my study of the Bible over the years is that Jesus – or Yeshua, as He was known to his brethren – did not come to Earth in human form as the Son of God to start a new religion called Christianity, which, after all simply means followers of the Messiah.

Yeshua came to fulfill the promises of the Hebrew prophets. Neither he nor anyone else in the Bible ever suggested we should celebrate His birthday on Dec. 25 – the traditional birthday of the pagan deities Tammuz and Mithra. Neither He nor anyone else in the Bible ever suggested we should celebrate the Babylonian holiday of Ishtar, or Easter. In fact, neither He nor anyone else in the Bible ever suggested we should observe Sunday as the Sabbath.

These were all traditions of men trying to blend pagan cultures with a touch of Christianity.

But the God of the Bible doesn’t like mixing pagan mythology with His commandments or pagan holidays with his appointed feasts.

That’s why it may surprise some of you that this Christian, this follower of Yeshua Ha’Maschiach, is observing Yom Kippur today – the Day of Atonement. My family will fast and pray just like Jews around the world and more and more Christians who are rediscovering the Hebrew roots of their faith.

The Day of Atonement is a high holiday – a Sabbath. I’m not working today until sundown. And I stopped working yesterday at sundown. That’s because by God’s reckoning of time, the day begins at sundown, not sun up and not midnight.

What I am saying to Bible believers is that God doesn’t want us celebrating our pagan holidays. He expects us, however, to observe His divine appointments. Those come weekly at sundown Friday from sundown Saturday. And there are additional spring and fall feasts, or appointed times, like Yom Kippur, in which we are called out to meet Him.

Some modern American Christians might arrogantly suggest they don’t have to atone for any sins because Jesus already did that for them. While it’s true that Yeshua died for the sins of those who make Him Lord of their life, that atonement doesn’t come without sincere repentance.

And repentance is not a one-time act. It’s not a collection of magic words we say one time in our lives so that we have license to sin some more. Repentance is a continual process, because we all fall short of the mark.

It’s not just individuals who need a Day of Atonement.

In ancient Israel the high priests prayed for the sins of the nation, too.

America could take a lesson from that experience.

We are a nation in moral free fall.

We’ve lost our ability to discern right from wrong.

We don’t even accept that there is such a thing as sin anymore. Sinners are just those practicing alternate lifestyles.

But this can’t go on forever – just as it couldn’t go on forever in ancient Israel when the nation went adrift.

God is longsuffering because He loves us. But like any good parent, He will not enable His children forever. He will discipline them in an attempt to bring them back to His authority – not wishing any should perish.

So if you think today is just another Jewish holiday, think again.

Today is one of your God’s feasts, one of His appointed times. He wants to meet with you. He wants to bring you back into covenant with Him.

Hillary Clinton Aide Tells Reporter To “F _ck Off” And “Have A Good Life”

BuzzFeed Politics:

As the State Department's story about what happened in Benghazi crumbles, Clinton's personal spokesperson, Philippe Reines, loses his temper. “Have a good day. And by good day I mean Fuck Off.”

On Sunday morning, BuzzFeed correspondent Michael Hastings emailed Philippe Reines, Hillary Clinton's longtime aide and personal spokesman at the State Department, asking a series of pointed questions about State's handling of the Benghazi fiasco, and Reines' over-the-top attack on CNN. The emails quickly got personal, with Reines calling Hastings an "unmitigated asshole" before an exchange of harsh words on both sides.

The email chain concluded with Reines writing that Hastings should "Fuck Off" and "Have a good life."

The full exchange (with one typo fixed) is below.

Hey Philippe:

A few quick questions for you. Why didn't the State Department search the consulate and find AMB Steven's diary first? What other potential valuable intelligence was left behind that could have been picked up by apparently anyone searching the grounds? Was any classified or top secret material also left? Do you still feel that there was adequate security at the compound, considering it was not only overrun but sensitive personal effects and possibly other intelligence remained out for anyone passing through to pick up? Your statement on CNN sounded pretty defensive--do you think it's the media's responsibility to help secure State Department assets overseas after they've been attacked?

Let me know if you have a second.Michael

Good morning Michael

I'm adding my colleague Toria Nuland who I believe you know. She has addressed much of your questions below during her daily press briefings, so I'll let her weigh in to remind you of what's already been thoroughly answered. As far as the tone of my email, I think you're misreading mine as much as I'm misreading yours as being needlessly antagonistic.

But on your questions pertaining to CNN's handling of the diary:

• You know that all USG personnel were evacuated from Benghazi after the attack. So I'm not sure why you're asking why State didn't find the diary first.

• On material, I'll let Toria reiterate, but the answer is no. Though you might want to ask CNN if they took anything else from the crime scene that they haven't yet told anyone about.

• In terms of the media's responsibility, I'll start with the outlandish statement that I believe the media does have responsibilities. Your question seems to imply they have none and any expectation of responsible behavior is too much to ask. To be specific:I believe CNN had the responsibility to act as human beings and be sensitive to their loss when they first approached the family.

I believe CNN had a responsibility to not make promises to the family it would not keep.

If that's too much to ask, I believe CNN had at the very least a responsibility to make their intentions on the use of Chris's diary clear to the family from the outset.

I believe CNN had a responsibility to not deceive its own viewers for more than 48 hours on the source of their reporting, using convoluted attribution they themselves had to clarify, before admitting it was the diary they were relying on.

I believe that when they finally did admit to using Chris's diary, they had a responsibility to their viewers and to the family to explain why they broke their pledge.

I believe that many within CNN agree with everything I'm saying.

More than anything else, I believe that CNN - since they had already read every word of the diary before calling the family on Friday the 14th, the day Chris's remains were returned home - had all the information they needed at that point to make an editorial decision on whether the contents of the diary compelled them to report on it. I believe the time to invoke their standards to justify using the diary came six days late. I believe that CNN, if they felt strongly that they had an obligation to use the diary should never have presented the family with a choice in the first place that they'd later disregard.

I don't believe that CNN should get credit for issuing a flimsy confession only when caught with their hands in the cookie jar. I believe the statement CNN issued late last night, 24 hours after Anderson Cooper's ill-conceived statement on air, basically says they agreed not to use it until they didn't feel like it anymore, and only admitted to it when they were about to be caught. I don't believe that's much of a profile in courage.

Lastly, I believe that you of all people, after famously being accused of violating agreed upon ground rules and questionable sourcing, would agree that it's important for a news organization to maintain its own integrity if it is to be trusted. That begins with keeping its word. If you can't manage that, then don't give it.

I realize that the way this works is that you only you get to ask me questions, but I have one for you: if you were in Benghazi, went to the scene of the attack, found the ambassador's diary, read every word of it, would you have called them and asked their permission to use it, then when you weren't granted that permission agree that you wouldn't use it in any way, and then a few days later just change your mind?

If the answer is yes, then you obviously agree that CNN handled this perfectly fine.

If the answer is no, if you would have decided its contents demanded reporting immediately, how would you have handled this differently then CNN?

And you should feel free to use every word above, in its entirety. Though I suspect you won't.

Thanks for getting back to me. No, you read my email correctly--I found your statement to CNN offensive.

From my perspective, the scandal here is that the State Department had such inadequate security procedures in place that four Americans were killed. And then the Ambassador's diary--and who knows what else--was left behind for anyone to pick up. Thankfully, it was CNN--and not Al Qaeda or some other militia--that found it and was able to return it to the family. That CNN used portions of the material in the diary they found at the scene--material that appears to contradict the official version of events that State/WH has been putting out--is completely in line with practices of good journalism.

I don't know how involved Arwa Damon has been in this. But for what it's worth, Arwa is one of the best war correspondents working today. She's consistently risked her life to get these stories, and to find out what actually happens in these conflict zones.I do agree that the media has lots of responsibilities, and CNN fulfilled its responsibility by returning the diary while still managing to inform the American public of newsworthy information. So it's unfortunate that you are trying to make a scapegoat out of CNN. That State was forced to flee Benghazi--again, because of such inadequate security, leaving behind all sorts of sensitive information--tells us more about DoS than CNN.

The misinformation here seems largely to be coming from State and the administration. The defense that the administration has offered that there was no intelligence warning of an attack is weak. If there was no intel, then clearly the CIA and other intel agents stationed in Benghazi weren't doing their jobs well. If there was intel, then we have some kind of cover-up--whether out of incompetence or ass covering before the election or just the trauma of losing four good men, it's hard for me to say at this point.

All the best,

Monica Lewinsky Is Back - Gets Bill and Hillary Clinton into Big Trouble Again

Yet Obama Sends These Two Clowns to Represent Him and Us at the UN with the Leaders of the World Including Those from the Middle East… Really? Feeling Safe??

EU Times:

World-famous mistress of former U.S. President Bill Clinton’s Monica Lewinsky decided to make some more money on her controversial past. Lewinsky will write memoires. The former White House trainee negotiates the details of her book with major publishers.

Reportedly, the forgotten sex scandal star has already requested $12 million for her confessions, including those about her relationship with Clinton. Many believe that her story is not worth the money. However, Lewinsky has not signed the deal, although several publishers are interested in the publication of the book.

Meanwhile, American journalists try to show as much humor as they can in their comments about the Lewinsky confessions, BFM.Ru reports. TJ Walker, a famous columnist with Forbes and The Wall Street Journal tried to guess what the new book was going to be about: “What is it? A time capsule? What time is it? 1998? It’s been 14 years since we had to look at this woman day after day. She got her millions from that. She had her Barbara Walters sit-down. And now she is going to write another book. What in the world is she going to say in it? Is it – “nobody has given a damn about me for 14 years?” Second chapter: “I am an idiot. I’ve never done anything interesting in my entire life other than fooling around with the president.” Chapter Three: “I’ve done a handbag campaign and a bunch of other things, but they all were a failure because everyone thought of me as that one thing.”

Monica has not confirmed her plans about the memories yet, but her friends told reporters what her new book could be about. According to one of them, she can share what she knows about Bill’s insatiable desires for threesomes, orgies and sex toys of all kinds, RBC says.

The president’s ex-lover recalled how he spoke disparagingly of his wife, calling her a “cold fish” and making fun of her “non-existent sex life.” Bill Clinton also suggested that Hillary had also cheated on him.

Rumor has it that Hillary Clinton knows about Lewinsky’s plans and is furious about it, Express Gazeta wrote. If the book is ever published, the sitting secretary of state will hardly ever become president.

Of course the possibility of a Hillary Clinton presidency is all but gone now, anyway, now that Americans realize that it was Hillary who made the decision not to send Marines to our Consulate in Benghazi Libya that resulted in the murder and torture of our Ambassador Christopher Stevens and 3 additional Americans, added to by 9-days of lies by Hillary herself, the State Department and the White House about the cause of the events in Egypt, the terror attack on American soil (our Consulate) in Libya and throughout the Middle East and much of the world.

Calling All Concerned Americans to Stand-Up

“The United States was the freest country in the world, allowing freedom of all speech including the discussion of politics and religion at any level; pre-Progressive era.  Yet Americans have allowed themselves to become one of the most politically correct societies in which people generally discuss less about religion or politics than most around the world…”

It is time for everyone who is concerned about America’s future and the future of their children and grandchildren to come together to work and pray.  We have approximately 40-days to decide the future…

November 6, 2012, although in some areas the voting will begin before the 1st presidential debate even takes place… go figure, is the most important election of our life time(s) because it will determine the future path of our nation for everyone who lives in America; actually in the world because of the difference our ‘the choice’ will make globally.

Even if you are not normally one to get involved politically or to speak out… this is the time!

We must counter the corrupt media, help educate people around us, help get out the vote and protect the integrity of the voting process as well as the vote counting process.  And it will take every informed American to get engaged to get this done fairly and honestly.

The tools are out there.  The information is available.  And Romney can win. He actually is winning in the honest polls.  But Team Obama and the liberal media will do whatever they possibly can to make Americans believe that President Obama is in the lead and will win, so that Republicans might skip going to the voting booth.  Team Obama and their media minions will also keep up their misinformation campaign that Mitt Romney is inept by focusing on and exaggerating every tiny misstep by either Paul Ryan or Mitt Romney (and in many cases down right lying), while not reporting, misreporting or spinning anything potentially damaging to President Obama or VP Joe Biden, as they since Obama announced his candidacy for the 2008 race, throughout his presidency and throughout the present race.

Many Americans of all stripes are finally waking up to the smoke and mirrors concerning Obama’s past, the figures and spin on the economy as well as the administrations ineptness in foreign policy.  Even if you like President Obama as a person, or are a life-time Democrat, the truth is just becoming overwhelming for many a diehard and even those who do not pay regular attention to the news and politics… but not to all.  And then there is the focused campaign to commit voter fraud, from throwing out voter ID laws, to allowing intimidation at the polls, to pre-set and slanted voting machines, to unchecked voter registration of dead people, dead animals, cartoon characters or multiple registrations of the same person.  Plus we have the added problem of using a company located in Spain to count many of our votes

And that is where we all come in.

Choose a person or group of people to share information with:

Are your children, nieces or nephews, grandkids, etc. planning to vote according to what their professors or friends are telling them, yet they have no real knowledge of the issues, the candidates or history?  Or do you have friends who are voting Democrat because they always have?  Or do you live near a senior center where someone has falsely convinced them that if they vote for Romney-Ryan they will lose their Medicare, have their Social Security reduced or even worse.

    1. Educate yourself
    2. Offer to teach a class or question answer forum at your community center, library or a nearby senior center and invite a speaker, co-host, or speak yourself
    3. Start conversations with your friends and family about what you have learned and found out.
    4. Start a blog and share your articles online and with friends and family.
    5. Use the tools available.  Take someone who is a-political, undecided or uninformed to see: ‘2016: the Movie’, ‘Unvetted’, ‘Last Ounce of Courage’ or to a rally or fundraiser, etc.
    6. Volunteer for a campaign
    7. Donate money and time to campaigns who need help
    8. Volunteer to work at the polls
    9. Join an action committee to make sure the votes are counted correctly
    10. Email people worthwhile information, including about election and candidate specials.
    11. Stand up for any and all injustices in the voting process and insist they be corrected… before allowing any candidate to be seated, from the President on down.

Future generations will thank you!

We are being had by the mainstream (lamestream) media and by the polls; something that became even more evident over the past couple weeks since the terror attack in Benghazi on 9/11 and the outbreak of violence in the Middle East and across the world.  It highlighted the failure of this administration’s foreign policy decisions, the lack of truthfulness by Team Obama and the media, and the collusion between the two.  Plus the past couple of weeks have also shown us a worsening economic picture.

Then add to that the skewing of the polls:

Many of the polls have been skewed anywhere by 3 to 13 points in favor or Obama… why?  Because they are hoping that conservatives and Independents will give up, won’t go to the polls or will vote for the anticipated winner.  Show them they are wrong!!

Examiner: According to the state polls on August 25, 2012 Mitt Romney would have won the presidential race over Barack Obama if the nation voted that day. Likewise, Rasmussen Reports Daily Tracking polls showed the race statistically tied nationally with President Obama at 46 percent to Mitt Romney polling at 45 percent.

Romney maintains lead even if by 42 fewer electoral votes over President Obama.

The map above showed little change since the last GOP2112 analysis of the race on August 15, 2012 which showed Romney leading with 359 electoral votes. The recent polling available for most of the states causes no changes in projections of those states with just a few exceptions. While the president has gained no states from the last analysis to this one showed by the map above, the states of Pennsylvania, Minnesota, New Mexico and Oregon have moved from leaning to Romney to toss-up status. Real Clear Politics (RCP) has all four of these states listed as leaning to Obama. But the weakness of the RCP averages is including a number of polls, by mainstream media outlets that are clearly skewed to favor Democrats, that result in skewing their averages the same way. Absent the skewed polls, the few remaining accurate polls show these states too close to call.

What is important to note, at this juncture, is these states are all states won by Barack Obama in 2008 and are key battlegrounds this year. The fact that states won easily by Obama four years ago are now toss-up states show the campaign this year is being fought on ground that was favorable to the president in 2008. This illustrates a degree of strength for the Romney campaign and a key sign of weakness for Obama's campaign. Yet the bias liberal media keeps reporting that Obama is leading in the skewed national polls by anywhere between a few points up to 13-points.

And earlier today… 09.24.12 it was reported that  nine new state polls were released showing 10-states that moved toward Obama and putting Ohio in the win category… even on Fox  Yet still others, like former Clinton advisor Dick Morris, believe that Romney has a double digit lead and will win with a double digit lead.  Dick Morris outlines Why The Polls Under State Romney Vote.

The war of the polls gets a little wearisome for non-wonks, but we’ll keep this short and sweet. The mainstream media are rigging the polls. No headliner there, but just how bad is it? It could mean that Romney has as much as a double-digit lead of 54-44 in Realityville. How, you ask? Because the Democrats are fooling themselves in terms of likely voter party identification and voter enthusiasm.

And then later today… 'Unskewed' polls show nearly 8-point Romney lead

Republicans have complained that the establishment media’s voter-turnout models can serve a partisan purpose by presenting margins that keep discouraged Republican voters at home thinking the election is already lost.

Race beginning to look a lot like 1980? What might Ronald Reagan’s victory path mean?

Source: LV = Likely Voters, RV=Registered Voters, MoE=Margin of Error

But the war for America needs to be at the forefront for all concerned Americans for the next 40-days… no matter what the polls show!

The Founding Fathers warned us that the only way we could keep our republic was to remain engaged and to do that they knew that the citizenry must be educated and must demand a free and truthful media.  We have fallen down on all three and the Obama presidency is the result of that failure.

And why are the Clintons filling in for President Obama at meetings with worldwide leaders at the UN? While Obama went on the view?  Gov. Romney is also meeting with world leaders while Obama has decided to stay out of the “political” fray during his campaign? Hello?  Yet CNN, whose coverage is so skewed that after hiding their knowledge of the Libyan Ambassadors’ Diary, will be pulled from Israeli TV by the end of the year, swooned… saying they could not wait to hear what Obama had to say before the General Assembly Meeting, even though he wouldn’t meet with Prime Minister Netanyahu or any other world leaders around his speech.

Or, Does Obama expect to lose? – See Secret retirement plans, based on internal polling, so Bill and Hillary are taking the opportunity to promote a Hillary run in 2016, even though her chances are much diminished by the evidence that it was Hillary who did not send in Marines to protect our people in Benghazi? Perhaps they are hoping to hide behind the body of lies from Benghazi that lead to Obama and his administration in general?  Good luck!

This could be one of the closest races and elections in U.S. History… and the final count will probably go waaay into the night of November 6th or even the early morning of November 7th.

What will you tell your kids and grandkids about what you were doing while America was dying if you do not stand up?  All the knowledge in the world is useless if you do not share it!!
